I scheduled an appointment for a service a day prior. I told them I would be waiting for my vehicle. Upon arrival I was told it would be at least 2.5-3 hours. I asked why? I have an appointment. I was told I have to understand there are 16-17 trucks ahead of mine. (Only 10:00 a.m. and I had an appointment). I left because I cleared my schedule for a reasonable appointment time. I tried contacting a manager and none were available. I think this is a clear indication of the management at this dealership. On arrival, a rude African American guy was working in the Service Department at the garage entrance - he points & waves his arms without verbally communicating a word to me. He proceeds to walk away and shut the door. What does this mean? Do you want my business? Do you want me to drive around the other side of the building? I don't know because he never approached me or spoke to me. Thankfully, a Hispanic guy approached and informed me to pull forward (to one of the doors on the right) and the door would open for me to enter. Apparently, the open door was an exit only, but no one could read it on the open garage door! After that, I dropped my car off at 0930 to examine the cause of a check engine light. I get a call 8 minutes before they close (3:52pm), informing me they need my car overnight to diagnose the problem. read more

Good Evening people . I usually don't write reviews at all let alone negative ones. But I just feel I have to this time. I took my ford transit for repair was fixed relatively quickly (2 days ) . Then they told me my van had a recalled that they where gonna fix it and order the part . Well I took it in on 3/22/2018 the part was supposedly expedited . Today is 4/8/2018 and still no van . I have tried to talked to service manager to no success . I called ford to see if I had a rental nope didn't work they told me to talk to the GM to no success. My van is used for working purposes that is my income provider they don't seem to care what we as New buisness are going thru . I've tried to take it to some other dealerships but they won't release . This will be the last time I go there . Please people reviews are so important now a days . I have purchased two trucks and an explorer here. Customer service is horrible! I bought extended warranty for my vehicles. I had more trouble with my Explorer cuz it was a used one and when I took it in for repair, they said it wasn't covered under the warranty. Then they wanted to charge me an arm and a leg to fix it! This name used to mean something in El Paso but now they have been bought out by Group1 auto group and they are all about the money an nothing else. They quoted me well over $175.00 to flash my computer for a trailer brake controller, I went to Casa and they charged me $50.00. I also did the buy three get one free tires and by the time the deal was done and charged they made the money back by charging for everything to make up for the one tire free. My less then 1 year old F150 has a defective radio. I made an appointment for 7am when they opened with my reason why. I was the first in line before they opened and still did not get my radio replaced or fixed. It appeared that it was not a cost effective use of there manpower to replace it unless I left the truck for a few days. I walked away with my defective radio still installed thinking they would rather I take it to another dealer. Today Shamaley service lost my confidence. Bought a new 2016 mustang. Had an appointment for my first oil change at 9:30 am. Service told me that it won't be ready till around 4;30. I told them I made an appointment and why it would take most of the day to do an oil change? They said there was a lot of cars ahead of me. So I asked if I would have brought my car in regardless of an appointment, as long as I brought it in first thing in the morning, it would be serviced sooner. He said "yes." So again I asked him does it really matter if I make an appointment? Service manger said,"no." Now less than a year my SYNC is working but has no audio. Radio, CD, phone. Nothing has volume. I hope I can take it to another dealer because I can see it being in there for at least a week if not longer. Not very happy. You would think I learned after 3 purchases. read more

I decided to take my vehicle for service because of their "specials" with an in-line estimate of $54 for wipers and an oil change. I took my vehicle and the lady told me she would call me to let me know what type of wipers the vehicle needed. Instead she called me when th vehicle was ready with a total of $120(more than double on my estimate). She said my car required special wipers (camaro 2015). I asked her why she didn't call like she said she would and she said she had no go pick up her children that he apologized. I ended up paying for the service and later wrote them an email letting them know that I was not satisfied with what I paid. The wipers cost $30 and the installation $60! A sales manager emailed me back letting me know that he would forward the email to the service manager. I didnt hear anything so I emailed him again and finally received a call on the second day. Unfortunately I missed the call since she called during working hours. Her voice mail mentioned I could email her if I was at work. I went ahead and emailed her to see how they could work with me and why the prices where way off from their online promotions. I never received a reply. I feel I got ripped off and that they really did not care about me. read more

Service was terrible! I brought my car in for a warranty repair and I had such a hard time getting someone on the line to schedule an appointment. I would be told that the service advisor would call me back but I never did. When I finally got an appointment, the repair took way longer than I was told and It was extremely difficult to get someone to give me updates on the status of my vehicle. I was on hold for 10 min. Then was hung up on. I called back a few times and was able to finally get the status of my vehicle. Even though the repair was hours over the expected repair time nobody called me with an update. This is the kind of service where you have to go out of your way to make sure things get done. As a customer, this leaves you with the feeling that your business doesn't matter. I will never go back to this dealership for service. Do not go here for service. I called on Friday morning to get a service engine light checked. The girl told me to bring it in so I got it in at 11:30. I got a bad feeling from the start. It seemed as if I had to actually beg someone to help me. I finally got someone who appeared less than enthused. I expected a phone call that afternoon with a status but nothing, so I called. The response I got was that the tech had not placed any notes but was looking at it. The truck would be completed the following day. On the following day I called three times. The first time, I was on hold for 10 minutes and hung up. The second, they took a message. The third, at about 1:00, I finally got in touch with my "service" rep, who unapologetically stated that the tech was off and he wouldn't be able to look at it until Monday. That would have been nice to know ahead of time. The fact that I had to find that out on Saturday afternoon tells me that nobody had looked at my truck, nor cared enough to give me a courtesy call. I told the guy that it was unacceptable and that I'd be by to get my truck. When I arrived I asked to speak to a manager and oddly enough, all of the managers were off. Last time I go there. It's obvious that they don't value their customers, nor do they value their credibility. A nice building and popcorn doesn't make up for poor customer service. Absolutely terrible experience. Will never go here again, and after the treatment I received will likely not purchase a Ford again. They treat military members terribly. Took my vehicle in for damage due to an improper tow and was treated poorly from the beginning. The service advisor and service manager were extraordinarily rude to both my wife and me when we would call asking for our vehicle. They lied about when we approved the fix to take place. To put this in perspective, they took 46 days to fix my differential and stuck us with all but 10 days of the over $1000 rental car. Then, they came to an unfounded assumption that was disproven by a third party investigator hired by my insurance that a worn out bearing on the ($1000) driveshaft was related, so they wouldn't process that under my original new car warranty. I was promised a call back by the main service manager, but (unsurprisingly) didn't get one). I'm now deployed with the Army and trying to process all of this from a distance and have received no help or response. I have filed a complaint with the BBB, and am also in the process of contesting this with Ford Motor Company, but I would not recommend anyone use this dealership to service their Ford. If this review is still up, it means that Shamaley or Ford has not taken care of the issue. read more

Buyers be aware of the used vehicle sales. I bought a Ford F-150 and the entire drivers side was wrecked. I am not a car expert. They are and they should of checked the vehicle carefully before they put it out on sale. I paid full price for the truck. Their response was that I had signed the carfax and it didn't say anything about it being wrecked. I went to the sales manager and the general manager and they didn't want to do anything but asked me to trade it in. I felt they were joking because now that they know it is wrecked they would not give me near as much as I paid for it. The general manager said they went through a couple of checklists before they put the vehicles out for sale. I didn't believe this for a minute. Husband was looking online for a vehicle. Found exactly what he was looking for at this dealership. Put in his information and asked to see said vehicle. A girl from dealership said it was available. He shows up to see it and the salesman said that someone else was test driving it, so he waited 2 hours to see the car! Then gets told, as it is a Friday, that the person was denied the car based on their credit and that the car will be in on Monday. He calls Monday and is told the car is there. He shows up at appointed time and particular sales person isn't even there! After the salesman said what time for my husband to be there! Another sales person calls him and he says he will be there in an hour. Husband asks if the car is available to see. The first salesman tells the now new salesman that the car my husband was there to see, that mind you was supposedly in the posession of another prospect buyer, was sent to auction first thing that morning. Really? So the guy who wasn't approved brought back the car first thing Monday morning and THAT car was sent to auction? So are they selling shawty cars there? They were going to let some other soul purchase the car, but once he isn't approved, it goes to auction? What kind of dealership are they running over there? Here is an interesting story. I brought my 2014 Ford Fusion to get a dented wheel well replaced. They looked at it and ordered the replacement (which I paid for at the time of the order). We got the call that it was in (just in time as my wife was taking the car across country), and she brought the car in to get the wheel fixed. It was dented from a pothole, pretty significant damage, but unless you took the tire off you could not see it. After five hours, she got the call that the work was done, paid and picked it up, and next day she was off across the country. A few weeks later she had a slow leak on the same tire and took it in to get fixed. The mechanic in Maryland asked if she was aware of the huge dent on the inside of the wheel. Wait... what? I called the dealership to find out what happened. Working with Jesse, he asked that we take the car into another Ford to look at the damage and send pictures. We did. About a week later I had to call back because I had heard nothing. Jesse said he was working with two other people to find out what happened and would get back to me. Two weeks later I called back again and Jesse was no where to be found. So, I asked to speak to the service manager, Manny. No answer from his phone. I then asked to speak with Andy, the service director. Andy assured me he would take care of it. He called me back a few hours later to let me know that the part had come in but was returned after not being used and would instruct his team to refund me the cost of the tire. I told him that was a good start, but not enough. In essence, they had perpetrated fraud. They had led me to believe that they had replaced the damaged tire, charged me for it, allowed my wife to drive the damaged vehicle across country, and had I not found out no one would have been the wiser. I have tried to call Andy again to find out what else could be done, but no answer. I suppose I would be happy if they worked with the new dealership to order and replace the tire. I towed my Ford into them Wednesday morning, called about 3pm to check on it and they told me they wouldn't even be able to look at it until Friday or Saturday!! I asked for a rental because I know my warranty covers it and they told me rental coverage begins once they look at the vehicle. Hello I first would like to say I have been coming here going on three years in November. I highly recommend you do not come to this service department . I dropped of my 2001 ford lightning for a 75000 service. Last time I was here for 70, 000 service I was told that my fuel filter has never been changed and my brakes are bad. I called back and talked to the service department and told them that weird because they are the ones that put brakes on the truck. After I said that less than five minutes later they told me that the brakes are just fine.... Very interesting however, I gave them the benefit of it. We all make mistakes. So today I came in no phone call to let me know about my fuel filter. I looked at receipt and wrong oil installed, coolant never changed , told fuel filter has never been changed and when they pulled the truck up it died. Horrible customer service and I was treated like I am the one at fault. Until the manager got involved. A family member was in the market for a midsize SUV and we stopped to inquire on prices and offers available. Our Sales Consultant, Omar Camacho, asked we wait inside the showroom while he grabbed the keys to test drive one of the vehicles. He mentioned coffee and soft drinks are available. Once inside, we had the misfortune of having Nick Banderakos ask if he could help us. We told him our salesman asked we wait inside and to help ourselves to a cup of coffee. He was quick to inform us there was no coffee and directed us to the nearest Starbucks. I thought he was kidding and asked him to take us to the coffee section. Again he told us there was no coffee and directed us to the nearest Starbucks. I approached and asked him if he thought he was funny or looking for a bad review. He didn't answer... In talking to our salesman about the uncomfortable situation, another outstanding salesman, 'Justin' gave us the mean look for walking in front of the vehicle he was getting ready to take for a test drive. I don't normally write reviews but I feel like I have to. The customer service at this dealership is worse than piss poor and management is a ok with it. If I make an appointment there should be a technician waiting for my car but instead their policy is make an appointment for drop off and 2 hours later a technician will finally start on it. I have never been to a place as poorly run as this. Straight refusal to recognize that they have a problem and try to come up with a fix. All you get is excuses. Even excuses coming from the general manager. He told me that even when he makes an appointment to see his doc he has to wait an hour. Worry about your own company and fix your own problems. You should have technicians dedicated to taking care or routine maintenance and one or two for walk ins. The complete lack of care for the customer is beyond disturbing and I would never recommend anyone to this place. Terrible Service Department. Brought our Ford F-250 for oil change arrived at 8:15 am, forgot I needed Safety inspection to renew license sticker. So I went back at 8:30 am to let them know. They told me to just leave truck and they would call when it was ready! Received a call at 11:49 that they needed a copy of current insurance card took in card within 20-25 min so I'll say by 12:30, at that time they told me it would still be another hour, it's now 2:05pm I went and checked 15 min ago they said it would be shortly, still nothing. Grrrrrrrr will not return to Sham-a-ley Ford ever again. They all act like if they're doing you a favor, horrible customer service, what they all need to understand is that if it wasn't for customers buying cars and bringing in cars for service and paying big dollars they all wouldn't have a job! Took my car in for a recall repair on Thursday at 0700, was told I needed to leave car to ensure it was fixed and it would be ready by 1730. At 1800 I get a call from the service manager saying he needed it to stay overnight and would have it ready , no later than 1000 the next day. 1000, 1100, at 1230 I call for update with no answer from Chuy. I left him a vm on both work and cell phone..nothing. 2pm I call again and no answer, leave another vm to please call me with an update..still nothing. I call yet again at 330 to see what the hell is going on and get voice mail again. I get a call from Chuy at 430 saying the car would be ready by 530. This was a complete inconvenience being with out a car for 2 full days when I was promised it would be ready same day..they could have at least washed the car because they kept it so long. And!!!, the inside if my car was filthy with oiled boot stains near door and some kind of "soot" all across the dash. Very disappointing considering this is my 2nd bad experience there. read more

No service plus bad advise in the past, here is our most recent encounter with Shamaley Ford. Made an appointment for a company truck to get minor repair only to arrive and be told that they will not get to it that day. Good news (which is the one star) they got to it that same day for a test drive. Plan of action they said would be to drop the transmission pan to see if a tiny clip was broke in the transmission valve body. Later that day a service representative calls and says that they dropped the pan and things look bad so the truck will need a rebuild or replacement which would cost no more than $3,500. I ask to take a look at the truck while its on the lift and they take me to it. Sure enough it was the wrong truck!!!!!!! I mean I am no rocket scientist but I would think the Ford tech/mechanic and service representative would be able to tell which truck was which. So I ask them to give me our truck back and they still ask if I want a new transmission. Hello! you guys didn't even look at the transmission because you guys never put it on the lift!!!! On top of all this they want to charge a fee for inspecting our truck which was never properly diagnosed. Took the truck to E. P. Transmission fix was less than $400 and yes all they did was replace the tiny clip in the transmission valve body. This Ford dealership does not know Ford vehicles. read more

Terrible experience. I made an appointment for an oil change and inspection for 8:30am. I arrived at 8 :15 yet my vehicle wasn't ready until 10 :41. To make things worse, I brought a Shamaley coupon for the oil change for $29.95 (regular $39.95). I was given a $10.00 credit, but was told that I would be charged $2.75 per quart over 5 quarts. (My F-150 requires 8 quarts ) for a total of $ 8.25. That means that my coupon saved me a total of $ 1.75. Lousy coupons coupled with terrible service means that I will not return to Shamaley for service. read more

Sold them my truck 17 days ago and the check is supposedly still in the mail. They are very unhelpful and liars. They offered me the same amount for my truck as Hoy Fox but Hoy Fox said it would take 10 days to get paid. Definitely regret my decision to do buisness with these guys. The guy that "helped" me was manager of the used cars David. I went in on Friday the 27th he told me it was in the mail and should be here any day. Called today Monday the 30th said they were waiting on the title maybe i should call the bank. Awesome customer service! After I explained to him that that wasn't what was agreed on he said to call him back in 15 minutes... why not call me when you resolve the issue. Horrible service. Called back 18 minutes later and went to his voicemail. David called me back the next day told me he couldn't do anything till they receive the title. I went in later to talk to the manager of the whole store. He was also very unhelpful and rude. The end result David called everyone a liar except me. The main manager told me "this isn't a mom and pop store, we have multiple locations we can't just issue a check we have to follow procedures." Have hired an attorney, will update. read more

This dealership doesn't even deserve one star. The service department is terrible. I have been trying to get warranty work done on my vehicle for two months. I have had the vehicle at the dealership three times. I took my vehicle in for a part that Ford had issued an extended warranty for five years. The first time I went in the service representative argued with me about what was covered in the extended warranty issued by Ford. He told me to print out the warranty from the the Ford website and bring it in to show him instead of doing his job and checking what was covered. Needless to say the service manager apologized to me because I was correct. The second time my vehicle was there they had it eleven days. After several days of calling to check the status of my vehicle I finally drove to the dealership on the evening of the tenth day only to find out they had not even touch my vehicle. The technician that was supposed to be "working' on my vehicle was gone for the day so we left and called the next day. It took literally 2 hours to do what needed to be done and I picked up my car on the eleventh day. I was told parts had to be ordered and they said they would call when it was in or if they needed some number from the part. So again after waiting two weeks and calling several times about the status of the part I drive to the dealership waisting my lunch hour to find out they did need the number from the part and didn't bother to call. So supposedly they ordered the part today after it took them 10 minutes to get the number. Throughout this process I called the service department at least seven times and an employee would tell me they would check the status and call me back. Seven times nobody ever called me back. I would avoid this dealership like the plague. I am going to buy my wife a new Ford Fusion in May. I don't know where I will buy it but I can definitely tell you it will absolutely not be Shamaley Ford. read more

My car broke down on 9/21 and it took them SIX weeks to figure out what was wrong, order parts and fix it. During those six weeks, I had to call THEM to get updates. They didn't bother to contact me. My F-150 needed a transmission and a radiator took forever to get fixed more than a month on the first day that I got it my radiator broke and the antifreeze was full of oil from the transmission I took the truck back and it took a week and a half .the day that I picked up my truck there was still oil the antifreeze so I took it back again and they said that the remaining oil is not a problem for my truck.they promised me that there was not going to be any oil left read more

Don't waste your time, and don't spend your money at this dealership. I've owned over 7 new vehicles in the past 12 years and I've never dealt with a dealership that has UNPROFESSIONAL written across in every aspect. I've had bad experiences with the Sales Department and Finance Department, but above all, the Service Department is the worst out of any El Paso dealership. You're better off having your vehicle break down oppose taking your vehicle to this dealership. You're better off walking than to purchase a vehicle from this dealership. I can type a novel about how bad this dealership handles customers and vehicles but I'll summarize it instead. Go to any other dealership in El Paso besides Shamaley Ford. The General Manager is just as bad as the rest of the employees, the employees lead by example, and that's probably the foundation of all the problems. This place lacks professionalism, customer service, transparency, and values. Don't let the "good reviews" fool you, the employees, staff and General Manager are probably the individuals typing the reviews. My power window was no longer operable. I was given a drop off appointment for 8:30am. My job was assigned to Jesse Bair, who advised me upon arrival that it could take up to one and a half to two hours before they could diagnose the problem. Jesse advised me that most likely my vehicle would need to have the window regulator replaced. I informed Jesse that because I needed my truck for work, I would wait for it in the lobby. After two hours had passed, I went to check with Jesse at which time he informed that they were looking into the problem. During my wait, I received a text msg from Almendra Maese, service administer, advising me that if I would like an update I could text her. So after 4 hours of not hearing anything from anyone I sent Almendra a text asking for an update. One half hour later she replied that she would check with Jesse and get back. After not hearing anything for half an hour, I texted Almendra again looking for an update. She then advised me that Jesse would soon come out to see me. When Jesse appeared he could not tell me how much longer it was going to take. Instead, he re-assured me that the window regulator would need replacement and he would look into it. My vehicle was finally turned over to me at 4pm along with shocking bill for over $400. In retrospect, Shamaley Ford did a horrible job keeping me informed of the progress on repairing my vehicle and advising me on what charges to expect. No amount of fancy advertising will ever get me to return for any reason. I regret not having read some of the negative reviews prior to my decision to bring my vehicle in for repair, or I would have most likely decided to take it elsewhere. read more

I've been a long-time customer of Shamaley Ford. Specifically speaking on the location off of Gateway West. We purchased about 4 trucks in the past 10 years in trade ins or purchases and when it came to a problem in reference to a call back part the people at Shamaley Ford we're rude. Non cooperative especially management. They basically figured it's not their problem . They do call you daily to give you news of your vehicle which after 5 weeks it's all the same information. Not in yet, can't get the part..nobody has it. They suggested hertz car rental. HERTZ provided us with mediocre service. The truck provided was a 2014 F50. My husband and I bought a car from them over a month ago. We traded in our truck, which was worth more, so they owed us nearly $9k. They told us they'd call us when the check was ready, which would be in 5-7 days. Knowing my husband was about to deploy soon after for 2 months they promised to try to get it sooner, so he could pick up the check before he left. 2 weeks went by. My husband left. I'm on my own with 2 kids, plus I live / work 45 minutes from the dealership. I started reaching out to our sales rep and the dealership, leaving messages, they're "looking into it" finally the tell me they mailed the check on March 26, even sent me a picture. I wait another week or so, start reaching out again... what happened, where is my money. FINALLY they tell me its because the title on the truck was missing a signature. I had to come in person to sign it, then they'd give me the check and the plates since those are already in. Prior to coming by, I spoke to THREE people to tell them I would come today on my lunch break, and to have everything ready so I could walk in and walk out. I get there, it takes FORTY minutes for a manager to come out finally with the title for me to sign and the plates. Doesn't apologize for the wait, or their fuck up, is incredibly rude, and he DOESN'T HAVE THE CHECK!!! I sign the title, he goes back to the office. I wait ANOTHER 30 minutes. Finally I found the sales rep and demanded he go find fuck up number one to see what was taking so long. (My 1 hour lunch break had been over 2 hours at that point) he comes out and says the office is closed with the light off, the guy left and went to lunch without bringing me the check. So after waiting well over an hour, when I was assured they would have everything ready so I could get in and out on my lunch break, I left, WITHOUT THE CHECK. Supposedly they're mailing it to me. I'm so pissed. You know damn good and well if I owed THEM money they'd be all up my ass, but when THEY owe US money they take their precious time. All the while NO ONE apologized to me for anything. Took my speciality vehicle in to get the rear brakes replaced, they charged for the replacement and the discs taken care of as well. The 300 brakes made it onto my car but they never bothered with the discs. Scheduled an appointment to get it done, get there and they all of a sudden don't know whose supposed to take care of the appointment even though there was a name attached. I get bounced around to three different advisors and then get told oh well be right with you. I tell them what happened and what's wrong and the advisor has the fucking odacity to tell me "How do you know that's the problem?" Well after blowing me off he tells me oh well it may be ready by mid afternoon or not even today. I asked what was the point of scheduling an appointment and he said"honestly I don't know" then he goes to check out the car but it takes him 30 minutes to realize he doesn't have the keys. I went in Nov.2015 to do a trade in and lease a car. Took my 2015 Ford Mustang gt to trade in I owed 31500 only had 5000 miles on it negotiated with Efrain car salesman and we agreed that Shamaley Ford would pay off my Mustang. In which it took them almost 3 months to do and in the meantime dealing with ford credit cause they don't know what is going on and begging them not to miss my credit up. Then we negotiated for a ford fusion 2016 that was on sale for 24500 that I agreed to lease. Efrain said I could leave with ford fusion and they would call me back to sign lease paperwork. They knew I was in a hurry when I came back signed paperwork then later I discover that they committed fraud by giving me only 27500 for my mustang and selling me the Ford Fusion for 30k thank god this is a lease they will scam you buyer beware with the finance dept. they are scammers and please read the contract it has a arbitration clause on it is written in there favor and they can care less once they have scammed you cause they know you signed the contract and they have made there commission next victim! read more
