If I'm being honest, some of styling is starting to feel a touch dated in places, but that's a matter of taste more than quality. One note, and to be totally fair it was an unbelievably hot day: when we returned from dinner the room was in the mid to high 70s, and it took about an hour and a half to cool down. The staff explained we needed to lower the thermostat in 2-degree increments rather than setting it straight to our target, and they were right, it worked. Still, that's a bit of a workaround at this price point. A lovely property with genuinely gracious service. We'd stay again.

Speaking of which, towels provided were limited, so when I found a stain on my bath towel and requested a fresh one, they brought me a whole set. After our time here I saw a video by theholdernessfamily mentioning hotel bathrooms with barn doors that don't close tightly. I didn't realize that was a thing. But it proved true here! Also clear glass shower doors which make it impossible to share the bathroom with a gal pal while someone is showering. Our across the hall neighbor was loud. It was as if there was an open house party each night from about 10:30pm to 11:45pm with all the loud comings and goings. Their 24 hour gym had a water fountain. They have a Grab & Go stocked with a variety of snacks, drinks, some ice cream, and useful things.

Better yet, there was a couch placed near the window, so you could have a scenic view as you curl up with a book! The water pressure in the shower was some sort of "rainfall" setup but functionally terrible. Still, that's not a reason to deduct a star :) The event spaces were beautiful as well, with wonderful harbor views. I didn't get the breakfast buffet, but my husband did while I got nails done. And sadly, the guy who runs the place is unresponsive and the maintenance guy was not wearing a mask at any point during my stay here (I was the only one that I saw who was), at the height of COVID. And I was told that this was a place where nurses and doctors stay long term due to proximity to the hospital, so these might have been the 50% of nurses who refused the vaccine, because they clearly didn't take it seriously. This Inn is a place where the money goes to the owner but there is no upkeep. He's essentially a slumlord. I imagine he actually visits this place once a year or so, if that. I also asked for a breakdown of room costs per day (they were the same per day) to submit for financial reimbursement, which the owner kept saying he would do, but never did. It was a frustrating stay.

This hotel room comes with a full kitchen fridge stove microwave and sink. The room is very spacious and comfortable. They don't have a restaurant here but you could go to the Hilton Garden Inn and they have a restaurant that's open from 5 PM to 10 PM. There's a Whole Foods that's five minutes away to grab groceries for your room to be able to cook if you want to cook for yourself here which was nice !

Not bad for a luxury hotel, but not cheap either. Check in was seamless, the rooms were clean, and we enjoyed going to the bars inside the hotel including the Ash Bar, Blooms, and Coral Wig. Everywhere inside is too dark. It might be on purpose but it give creepy vibes or didn't pay electric bills vibe. The intended vibe is supposed to be very baltimore and i can see why. The room is clean and nice. Still dark. The bed is soft and comfortable. Outlets are a complaint for me. I had to move take and chair to the corner of the room to plug in. Bathroom is clean as far as I can tell. My only complaint in the bathroom is when showering, occasionally the water unexpectedly becomes scorching hot. Maybe someone flushed on the other room but I got temporary burn right in the face so be careful. The ash bar was the only food spot inside the hotel. Dinner was alright but I'd pass on breakfast here. Overall, it is a decent hotel in a bad neighborhood. I wouldn't come back mainly because of the neighborhood. Baltimore is just overall in rough shape.

My room was cleaned twice in that 5 day window which was just enough. The common areas were clean. The breakfast offered was good. I stuck to the oatmeal, bagel and coffee. I did have a meal from the bar/hotel restaurant and it was very very good! My room was clean and spacious! I had the issue with the toilet but then also the refrigerator had an ice machine that kept making ice nonstop and made noise on and off throughout the day. My room Was on the 12th floor but the noise outside from the passing traffic and loiters across the street woke me up and kept me up 3 out of those 5 nights. The bed was comfortable and the room was good. The hotel was nice but it's just the noise outside that was the biggest issue.
