$10 cover charge, $150 alcohol minimum to reserve a table (seats 4) and $350 to have a section with bottle service. (Seating for up to 10 looks like) these all may be normal charges but I was a little off put by them. We ended up getting a table, and with 7 people a lot of us were standing around. The only "free" seating area was the bar. The $150 was cumulative over the whole time we were there, with all people combined and different tabs. It seemed pretty easy to get to, with most drinks $10-15. There were a decent amount of people dancing around 12 on Saturday night, and several places to dance with good Latin music. The service was good but not great, but I can't complain too much since it got really busy. It was fun and was a good night. read more

Yes open during COVID, masks not enforced, temperature not checked, dance at your risk, provide your own sanitizer, security yes Located in the center of a spacious parking lot, this bar was easy to locate one minute from highway. I enjoyed this experience because not may people were there, perhaps 40 people at a time. While I was the only person wearing a mask and providing my personal hand sanitizer, I felt welcome and unashamed to do so. There was an easy access to the restroom. However, the ladies' push-in restroom door was my the sink. So be careful when washing hands to avoid getting whacked. Upstairs and downstairs, back room and hookah lounge sections provided ample space to enjoy. I attended because of Latin Dance Night, complimentary class and social, which is a dance party. Provided by R&I Dance studios They have a studio 5 minutes down the street and are great teachers. This is my 3rd occasion meeting with them. We were dancing Salsa, Bachata, Merengue, and cumbia. The sound system works here! The lights and sounds were pumping on full tilt with a live DJ. Came on a Friday night and found out normally there is a cover charge, but that night, there was not one. Also saw they had, essentially, 2 $10 basket deals on special. You could either get 8 chicken wings or 3 chicken tender bites, in 4 flavors (Cajun, BBQ, hot, or lemon pepper), with fries. Of course you have a choice of ranch or blue cheese to go with those orders. They also had drink specials, but since I don't drink, Coca-Cola was on tap. Of the four flavors, surprisingly the barbecue was the favorite of mine. The sauce itself was rich and had a unique flavor to it. Runner-up of the Wings was the Cajun flavor due to the sauce having a lot of character to it. The lemon pepper and hot wings were on par with a normal wing flavor from various spots. Not being a fry guy, fries were a tad bit saltier than my liking. There are 2 floors of booze and chilling, with even a reserved area for private parties. The dance floor is sized for plenty of dancers. The professionalism of all staff was on point on the night I visited. Come check this place out for yourself. read more

I've been living In the woodlands for 15 years , I decided to go to cielo and dance and they had a big fight last night , and the security guys approach me and they were thinking I was part of the people who start the fight , I had biting to do with that and they were really mean and crazy with me and my 2 other fiend they started to kick us out of the club with no reason , I would no recommend to come to this place because you can not trust the integrity of the security people , even other people told the security guy I was not Involved in that fight they stilly treating me like shit . I would recommend the owners to dig into this situation because I don't really appreciate the customer service and the way this security people handle this problem. This club has potential, believe me, but it just is not cutting it for me at the moment. Located inside a shopping center in The Woodlands/Spring area, the club area is fairly small. I came on a Friday night with several friends, we were here to celebrate a birthday and everyone was in the mood to dance to some salsa. Yes, the music is pretty good for the most part. Majority Latin music which is what we came for and a bit R&B thrown at you here and there. The club was somewhat empty for a Friday night. Nothing packed. The bar was not in the cleanest shape, several empty glasses throughout the bar. Does the bartender have a barback? I can't tell. What really annoyed the hell out of me was the drink price inconsistencies. I ordered the same drink three times.. First round of whiskey, $8+tip. Second round of the same thing, $16+tip. TF?!? Third round, you can only imagine. And for the attentiveness that the bartender was giving us, including the amount of traffic, all I can say is that these girls would not survive bartending at a Gay bar. I like and appreciate Cielo for what it essentially is: the only Latin dancing club in The Woodlands. I've been here throughout the years when it had different names, but recently I've visited for friends' birthday parties and there is a lot to praise. Yes, there is a $10 cover whether you have a table, bottle service, gender etc. Maybe it's annoying to some, but I think it keeps the general riff-raff out. And it's also true that they add a 20% tip to everything. That was surprising, but ok, I just kept my cash. I think that one of the waitresses had a bad attitude but the entire rest of the staff including the bouncer, bar tenders, bar backs, & misc crews were outstanding and provided great friendly service. It's obvious they want you to enjoy yourself and dance the night away! When there was an unfortunate incident in the ladies restroom, they got it cleaned up right away. When the table next to ours knocked over their table creating a huge mess, it took 3 minutes until it was spotless again! It's not always easy to keep a lively club/dance floor clean, but it is very important for the safety of dancers, especially ones in heels, and Cielo values their cleanliness & therefore the customers safety. The music of course was great and had all different styles for every kind of night club dancer. Went here for the first time last night. We were in the area and looking for a Latin spot. DJ was sooo good he played bachata, merengue, salsa, hip-hop, a little of everything mainly Latin music though. I didn't try the food but the drinks were good and strong. The ladies working there were super nice. Always on top of checking on our table and bringing us drinks. Crowd is a great mix of all ages. Only thing I didn't like is that they add gratuity each time if paying cash. If you pay by card they automatically add it at the end. I used to love this place, but not anymore. I took my husband and friends to Cielo to celebrate my husband's birthday and the service was horrible. We were a group of 15 people so I reserved a table for my group. First they charged me a $100 dollars deposit to reserve. They told me that the credit was going to be deducted from my bill. They gave me a hard time trying to accommodate us because to them my group was very big and to them we were blocking the bar when we were buying our drinks at the bar. We were ordering at the bar because the waitress was not coming to the table where we were sitting. At the end my friends paid the bill and the credit of the $100 was never deducted. I called next day to ask for my money deposit and they told me that manager was not there. I called the next day and they kept ignoring me and finally by Friday they told that they don't return deposits. I went back to the place to speak directly with the manager but they told me she wasn't there. Finally I got tired of it and that why we decided to never go back to the place. Usually play salsa and tropical inside and mostly reggaeton out in the patio but it's great either way. I don't mind the cover charges and gratuity charge because I usually tip that much. Drinks were pretty expensive for the quality. I like a nice margarita or mojito. Tasted like some wells cheap drink and was so sweet for like 13$. They obviously don't know how to make one. Oh and the food tasted like the microwaved some taquitos and empanadas lol like from the frozen Goya section at HEB. But the atmosphere was fantastic and the girls were really nice so I would just come here to dance and have a good time, have a few easy to make drinks like vodka tonic or jack and coke, nothing boujie. I absolutely love to dance!! If you love it too then hurry up and visit Cielo. We came on a Saturday night to celebrate Valentines and the place was popping. There was live band that played salsa, bachata and some cumbias. The crowd is a mixture of young and wise. ;) I noticed several of the people here were ballroom salsa dancers so if want to practice your moves from salsa class, there's potential here. The place is very nice and in a nice area of town so feels very secure and wasn't worried any fight would breakout. Lol The only thing I wasn't crazy about was the layout. There is a huge bar in the middle of the place and the dance floor is in the corner and small which is kind of odd when you have a live band. Went to cielos to celebrate my 30th birthday and i must say i had a blast. Washington and Diego really looked out for me. They let us decorate the upstairs before the party and continued to check up on my party and i, the entire night. By far the best service and flexibility I've experienced. I highly recommend this venue to anyone and everyone looking to celebrate a party of any kind. Thank you Cielo for making such a special celebration that much more memorable. My salsa dance partner and I have gone a couple times, we were there one of the first days it was open. The dance floor was very sticky, hard to do spins, the wine was served in a very small juice glass, they said they didn't have wineglasses yet. We were still okay with it, but when the smoke machine started up, everyone started choking. It's not a teenage club on salsa night, folks! One of my neighbors who was associated with this club advertised it on our Neighborhood Village blog, so I gave him my opinion. He said he'd speak to the owner, but the next time we went, the floor was still sticky, the wine was $9 a glass and still served in little teeny tiny wine glasses. We belong to a huge group of dancers, we all feel the same about the floor. All you have to do is order a little can of dance 'dust' and sprinkle it on the floor and fix it. These are problems that can be fixed, but in the meantime, most of us will be heading to Tsujiki or Chaynes to get our salsa fix. read more

This bar is a dump! There cups are do dusty and nasty, I was afraid to drink there. Just trash!

The restaurant charges 20% automatic gratuity for mediocre, bare minimum service. When I asked the server was this posted anywhere, or when was she going to notify us about it, She stated "It's to pay the cook since they are paid differently, but your not obligated to pay more tip". DO BETTER! So much potential at this bar (great atmosphere) but service has lacked the last few times I've gone there to eat (maybe due to getting auto grat. off each check) . Delay in getting drinks, apps come with entree and come before getting silverware. I try and come back every few months to see if things change and it does not. read more

It's frustrating to write this review because we've had a good time here in the past mostly because the bar staff is amazing; however, we had reserved a top VIP section by the DJ at Cielo via Washington for tonight, Halloween, in person about 6 hours prior to the event. We texted him our bottle orders and waitress preferences, and we were so excited to experience Halloween here!! Unfortunately when we got there, we were told that we couldn't get a top VIP section suddenly and would have to choose from a floor table or second floor section, which wasn't what we discussed with Washington at all. We spoke with the staff, who knew us from going there randomly throughout the week, who asked about what was going on and we told them. Next thing we know we get a text from Washington saying not to give his staff a hard time, which we weren't doing, and that we shouldn't have waited until last minute to book a section because they were all booked, which goes against what he had told us in person just hours before. Had we had known we wouldn't have been able to get the section we signed up for earlier, we would have made completely different plans to go elsewhere and spend our money elsewhere, but instead it seems we were led on. It's hard to get this bad taste out of our mouth and unfortunately I'm not sure we will come back. However to reiterate, the bar staff is absolutely fantastic. read more
