Checked in for a girls wine weekend- we stay for four nights…read more The location of the property it approximately 5 miles from Paso Robles proper. It is conveniently close to all the wineries in the area. The property is newly built, opening in Fall of 2025. Free electric vehicle hook up also! Rooms are spacious, beds are comfortable. We used the pool/hot tub. I peeped in the exercise room plenty of activities for all. We didn't dine at the property, but the bar was fully stocked and I did enjoy a delicious Old Fashion one evening. My only complaint: as we stayed 4 nights there was no room cleaning and we ran out of towels and toilet paper. We were informed by staff rooms were cleaned every 3 days. Our room was never straightened or checked on and when we ran out of toilet paper I was informed by staff: "please come to the front desk as I am the only person on duty presently." I believe that this hotel would benefit by placing a placard regarding the checks on rooms, refill on towels/toilet paper and emptying of trash cans so guests are aware of the situation. Overall, we enjoyed our visit & would likely stay here again!

Update: Unfortunately, my experience changed after my original stay…read more When I later tried to extend my stay, I was told they could not honor it. At the time, I assumed they may have been overbooked and did not think much of it. However, when I returned at a later date and tried to use my rewards points for another stay, I was refused. The manager was not there, but I was told I owed money and had supposedly left the room a mess. This was the first I had heard of any issue. I was never notified, billed, or given any explanation. I tried to follow up so I could better understand what happened and pay any legitimate outstanding balance, but I received no clear answers, no examples, and no documentation. To make matters worse, my rewards points were still kept, which was especially frustrating because I had spent a significant amount staying there for multiple days while transitioning before moving out of state. Those points would have been helpful during my cross-country trip at other Choice Hotels. I understand that a business can refuse service, and I am not disputing that. My issue is the way it was handled. I was not notified ahead of time, I was not given documentation, and I was not given a clear explanation or opportunity to resolve whatever issue they claimed existed. I arrived expecting to use my rewards points for a stay, only to be turned away around 9 p.m. with nowhere lined up to go. That put me in a stressful and embarrassing position, especially since this could have been communicated before I arrived. To this day, I still do not recall leaving the room in poor condition. I was careful during my stay, and although I paid to have my dog there, I did not even bring him into the room most days. My card was on file, and I made a point to check in with the front desk to confirm everything was squared away. I also had some issues with the service during my stay. Housekeeping was inconsistent and rarely came by. When they did, items were often only partially restocked -- for example, I might receive one coffee pod but no creamers or sugar, or toilet paper would be replaced but not tissues. It was not a huge issue at the time, but looking back, it adds to the overall concern about communication and service standards. Being turned away without prior notice, proof, or clear communication was embarrassing and upsetting. I originally loved this hotel because the location was perfect for me -- close to family, convenient, and comfortable -- but the way this situation was handled completely changed my impression. I have never had anything like this happen at a hotel before, and it was an awful experience.

The estate has many wings to sit inside and outside, with a sense of privacy to relax or engage in conversation, and some peaceful "stellar" views. The pool is private and inviting surrounded with lush vegetation. The buffet for around a party of 100 plus was delicious. BBQ Chicken and juicy, tender, beef brisket, potatoes, salads, roasted romaine, grilled skewers of veggies with dips and sauces (loved the horseradish sauce on my beef) and apple cobbler served in a little mason jar. The dinner was in a barn with long tables, covered with mason jars, candles in some--quite the convivial setting for mingling and enjoying the food in a "Slow Food" style! Note: catering by a 3rd party. Good food, good wine & microbrew--in a good place for a good time! The day after the wedding we are invited back for Sunday brunch, so I can not wait to come back!

It was well taken care of and had a lot of cute little amenities. Krueg for the coffee, plenty of free snacks and stuff. Amie even baked us some cinnamon rolls on our first day there. The owner is very down to earth and friendly. She has a lot of her art and personal touches around the place, both in the guest house and around the yard. I think the best thing about this place is how quiet and peaceful the location is. If you're trying to escape the hustle and bustle of city life, this will no doubt sate that. I heard maybe one or two cars, at most, during our stay. And the view? Amazing in all directions! The amenities themselves are beyond anything we expected. Keurig? Check! Board Games? Yup, those too. DVDs/movies? Yup! Miscellaneous books?! Covered! Food wise, there's a lot to work with in the room. Almost something for everyone. And there's a few places that do delivery to the location (one was Chinese and the other a pizza place). Wine, beer, snacks, cereal, etc. Amie was nice and gave us a few hard boiled eggs from her chickens on the property. Don't think you can get more organic than that. She also baked us some Pumpkin Pecan Raisin Cinnamon rolls as well. We couldn't have asked for a better first impression and experience. This is definitely above and beyond anything we expected. On a final note, to help address the concerns in the negative reviews posted here, our host kept in touch with us, via email, the entire time up to our visit.

The beds are incredibly comfortable, the hotel is spotless, and every staff member I've interacted with has been wonderful. They completed a remodel about a year ago, and it was definitely needed the updated look feels fresh, modern, and inviting. The location is fantastic, conveniently situated near many of Paso Robles' amazing wineries and perched on a hill with beautiful views. I also love that they showcase local wineries, featuring monthly vineyard spotlights and wine tastings on select days. Another pleasant surprise is the restaurant. The food is genuinely delicious, which isn't always the case with hotel dining. They frequently offer great specials, such as half-price appetizers and complimentary corkage on your first bottle of wine on select days. It's rare to find a hotel that delivers great rooms, excellent service, and quality dining all in one place. I always enjoy my stay and look forward to coming back!

It honestly made me wonder--if this is what they provide for guests with disabilities, that's concerning. The shower knob was broken, there was an old leather jacket left in the closet, and there was barely any countertop space in the bathroom. Along with several other minor issues, it was clear the room hadn't been properly checked or cleaned. To their credit, the staff was friendly and quickly moved me to another room, which I appreciated. That said, for a hotel of this caliber, you'd expect at least complimentary coffee--but there wasn't any. They do have a restaurant that opens at 7:00 AM, but when I arrived right at 7:00, it wasn't open. An employee mentioned the staff was running late--it was already 7:10 AM by then. Not a great look. I've stayed at the Courthouse Marriott before, where they offer free coffee and breakfast, and in hindsight, I wish I had stayed there again. Unfortunately, I don't see myself returning here.
