I'll start with the service is always nice and they are very attentive. This is the second time in a row the quality of my nails were not great. Inspo vs actual nail was just not what I expected but I see the effort. The French nails I had prior were beautiful but I had to return several times because the French tip color and overlay broke off the very next day and the following days more and more kept chipping off. I really enjoy coming here because everyone is so nice but my nails are just not what I wanted it to look like. In all I would give this place a 3.5 overall, a 5 for customer service. read more

Shang nail never disappoints! My girlfriend and I have been going here on and off for 2 years now and we always have the best experience here. The service and quality of work are honestly unmatched, in our experience, and you can tell they really value their customers. I always do chrome color gel manicures, and usually I'm lucky if I can go 2-2.5 weeks with no chipping (I only have 1 hand so even while doing everything w my left, carefully, they're still bound to chip). However last time I had my set done by Sam and they lasted OVER 4 weeks with not a single chip in the chrome layer. Definitely will be requesting Sam from now on. First 2 photos are a 2 week and 4 week progress on my recent Chrome set by Sam. Also including photos of past sets done by Shang on Alosta. I've been coming to Shang Nail for the past year. I tried their Gelx, plain and simple. It turned out great, walked in and out within an hour. My nails lasted over 4 weeks. I only got Gelx because my natural nails were all broken/split just bad. I personally don't like Gelx because I don't like the nail being glued on and when my nails grown out, I can see them underneath. Since my natural nails have grown and been pretty good, I have gotten Gel Overlay. That lasted me about 6 weeks. It was super long and I didn't intend to keep them that long, I happen to have went on vacation for about 3 weeks. When I returned I was able to just have my nails filled with the Gel Overlay. The nail tech filed down my nails leaving a thin layer of the Overlay, enough to cut off my grown out natural nails and added the Gel Overlay. I like this way better since I like my natural nails and need them to be strong. Gel Overlay with OPI Bubble Bath is definitely my go to. Once I arrived Vivian was there to welcome me in and knew I was the one to call immediately. She was extremely warm and welcome and helped me figure out exactly what was going to work best for what I wanted. I was warmly greeted by I'm assuming the manager and was asked if I had an appointment and since I did not they asked if I could come back which I had no problem with but definitely call to make an appointment ahead of time! New business that opened in April! The owner & staff are friendly! Amy did my nails and was very meticulous in removing my gel. She had to grind some of it off and soak with acetone. It took quite some time, I was there for 2.5 hours but she took off all the gel, added a hard coating to protect my nails, then did the new gel color. She made sure all my nails were even and proportionate, which I appreciate. I was between 2 colors and she shared the benefits on Japanese nail color vs non Japanese nail color & I don't believe there isn't an additional cost. If there was, it was minimal. I can't remember the name of the lady who did my pedicure but she was lovely as well. She was able to clean off all my calluses and took her time in cutting out the ingrown & skin. I didn't bleed & no infection. I'll definitely be back! I paid $85 for gel manicure & signature pedi and $20 tip. read more

I had such a great experience at Shang Nail from start to finish. When I called to make my appointment the woman I spoke with was incredibly kind and welcoming and she was also the one who greeted me at the front desk which made everything feel even more personal. She asked what I was looking for and reminded me to be specific with my nail tech so they could bring my vision to life. Joey did my nails and truly exceeded my expectations. I came in with three different inspiration photos, one for the shape, one for the main design, and another for a specific detail I wanted incorporated, and she absolutely nailed it. My manicure turned out even better than the inspiration pictures. She took her time, was extremely gentle, and paid close attention to every detail while checking in throughout the process to make sure I was happy. I've been going to their original location in Claremont BUT as soon as the Azusa location opened, I've been coming here since their grand opening. The service here is top tier and the nail products they use are top quality. I'm a pretty rough girl with my hands and nails. With other nail places my nails barely last 2-3 weeks. With Shang Nail Azusa, my nails don't chip or crack and last me a record 6 weeks tops. Unbelievable. I like to come here once a month at least. I rather spend premium price here than in other quick fix nail shops. If you want quality long lasting nails, come here. I recommend you make an appointment although they do take walk-ins. Also, they the nail techs and artist here take their time for quality application so if you're in a hurry, let them know or come when you have more time. Also, how cute is the vibe of this place? This place is cute has a nice vibe. The chairs are comfy and I was instantly greeted upon arrival. Both of my big toe nails were breaking and despite the awkward angle my right big toe broke at, Anny was able to shape it and polish it to make it look more symmetrical to my left big toe. She did a great job, I am please with the outcome. Only thing is it was about $58 total and I did notice that someone next to me seemed to have Fungus on her toes and they just put gel on top of it, not sure if that compromises the polish for other customers but it was something I did take note of. read more
