From the start they were kind, actually tried active conversation that felt like natural conversation, and I always walked out so genuinely happy with the results of my nails. And as someone who is so used to saying I'm happy with the results for the purpose of not wanting to cause problems, these people saw that and were so kind and patient to me. great service! I came here for a pedicure on the morning of Mother's day (around 10am) and was greeted warmly and sat in a spa chair almost immediately. For a $90 service I'm not flattered. Should have only charged me $60. See the inspiration, what I was given and a 10 day look at how they held up. Gems fell off after 4 days of normal hand washing. Acrylic was not properly placed on nail bed creating clearly seen lifts and acrylic chipping/bulky grow out. 3D gel was not set proper so bubbles were left which attracts all dirt etc to get trapped and they do not come out.. Quite frankly I was told to come in and was holding up an already scheduled customer leaving my nails to be rushed as the other customer hovered. Not a good feeling already. The nails did not fulfill the 1 month retention I was expecting let alone they didn't make it past day 10. Day 1 was fun and all but now I have dusty looking nails with no gems and busted looking grow out. When I was contacted to come in to have them fix the poor nail job and damage to my cuticles, they only changed the polish. I asked if I could have a paraffin wax treatment for my sore fingers, and they told me they would have to charge me extra for that since they already redid my nails for free, even though they were fixing the poor job they previously did which was improperly curing the gel polish so that it peeled off immediately. They did apply gel builder to my nails, but that was due to them over filing the polish off and making my nails paper thin and breaking off. I was told they promised to fix the problem via messages on yelp if I updated my negative feedback review. But my main issue was the pain and bleeding of my cuticles which didn't heal for several weeks. I asked if they had any cuticle oil I could take home to treat them, they refused and told me to go buy aquaphor and use that. So they didn't actually address my main concern which was my bleeding damaged cuticles, and only changed the paint. read more

Had a bit of free time and really needed to get my nails done, so I searched for a nearby spot and decided to give this place a try. Thankfully, they accept walk-ins, and since it was a midweek Thursday, it wasn't busy at all. They took me in right away and had two techs working on my hands and feet at the same time, which was super efficient. I had a great conversation with one of the nail techs, and they got me in and out in good time -- plus, my nails looked amazing afterward! The salon itself is spacious, well-lit, and has comfy chairs. It's also conveniently located near a bunch of food spots, perfect if you want to grab a bite before or after your appointment. I got my Gel-X nails done here on Tuesday evening, and it's only been 4 days... they already look awful. The edges are rough and uneven, and the shape is so wide they literally look like dinosaur nails. I honestly don't think the technician has proper Gel-X skills. The only reason I came here was because they were open late and my regular nail tech was closed -- and I regret it. I told her I needed my nails to look perfect for a photoshoot today, but instead of feeling confident and excited, I'm embarrassed by how they look. Such a letdown. They will stay up late to accommodate you especially if you get off of work at 5pm or need your nails done at the last minute for a party or just last minute upkeep. I walked in with no appointment and met Katie and Tiffany. Wow. They treated me with such respect. They took such excellent care of me. I was blown away. I've just spent the last two weeks moving and my nails and toes were an absolute hot mess! When I left, I felt so good and renewed. Katie took care of my nails and a way that nobody ever has. This was my first time trying this nail salon, mainly because it was conveniently close to my school. Unfortunately, this was the most painful and uncomfortable manicure I have ever experienced. I was serviced by the only male technician there; he never gave his name. From the start, he was squeezing and gripping my fingers far too hard. I was fidgeting in my seat the entire time because of the pain, and I even jumped twice. I have never had a manicure where the cuticles were drilled away, normally they are trimmed with nippers, like the kind woman who did my pedicure used. He hurt my cuticles repeatedly, and not once did he apologize for drilling into my cuticles and skin. At one point, he was so rough with the drill that he actually drilled my finger pad. After doing that, he looked at me and asked if he was hurting me. What do you think? I told him clearly that he was hurting my fingers and gripping them too tightly. He said "OK" and loosened his grip for maybe 30 seconds, then went right back to squeezing my fingers tightly again. I'm sure my discomfort was captured on their cameras. When it came time to shape the nails before painting, he kept filing my skin around the nails. It was painful, and I kept pulling my hand back. This happened three separate times with the nail file. The third time, I pulled my hand away because he continued filing my skin, and it was burning and hurting. He then asked me if I was scared. I responded, "No, I told you that you were hurting my finger." I will provide a picture of the gash. it was bleeding after I left.I genuinely wanted to leave before he even applied the French tip because I was that uncomfortable and in that much pain, and he clearly didn't care. However, I was afraid of how they might react if I left with unfinished nails without paying, so I stayed, sat there, and just prayed for it to be over. I am extremely displeased with the final result. The nails are absolutely sloppy. He applied the nail too far down over my cuticles and skin using monomer (see pictures). Every single nail has air bubbles in it, which I have never experienced before (see pictures). Some of the bubbles are harder to see, but I was able to capture several on camera. The undertone of the nails is also far too pink, making them look pink and green at the same time.I initially wanted square-shaped nails and told him I wanted them short, really short. He told me it would be easier for him to do a narrow nail if I wanted them that short, so I agreed to a pointy shape. Once we reached the length I wanted, he then said, "Oh, these are really short. We should just do square." In all the manicures I've ever had, I have never been told that square nails can't be done at a short length. That comment made absolutely no sense. To make things worse, after applying the final top coat and curing the nails in the UV light, he went back in with the nail file again, which ruined the paint entirely. I wanted to tip the woman who did my pedicure because she was kind and gentle, but I didn't know how he would react if I tipped her and not him. Because of that, I ended up leaving without tipping at all, which was embarrassing in itself. for my manicure alone it was $70 which the quality of them is not worth. Just started going to this place as I was desperately searching for a new place to get my nails done. On my second visit, Sherry did my nails and let me tell you she is amazing. She's AMAZING and she has such a great personality and she does my nails exactly how I like them. It's only been two visits and I pretty much allow her free rein on what she wants to do with my nails I just give her a color. I've gotten so many compliments on the nails and the designs. She is now my go-to and I've been telling everyone about visiting her. My only complaint is that I took my daughter for her birthday and got her gel nails. They never have massage chairs if they do they're not new but it's very rare . At Lux There's beautiful massage chairs, large open area, clean, new and plenty of parking. The owner and staff were very accommodating and nice family owned. They give you water and little biscuits. they have music playing and offer very fair prices.
