My friends ordered from Hometown Rice Roll & Dumpling for takeout & ordered me the wonton noodle soup to try. I had been wanting to try the food from here for a bit now, as they have so many options on their menu that I'd typically eat. I was feeling under the weather this day but got to try it later in the evening. The wontons were great! I loved the filling. I enjoyed the noodles too. They were springy & not soggy, even after heating it up. I love wonton noodles but sometimes the noodles can taste soapy/chemically if they're not rinsed & drained well before adding them to broth. Luckily, it seemed like they did a great job with preparing this since I didn't taste any soapiness. I must visit one day to try some of their other dishes in person! Had for takeout some friends grabbed for an early dinner at their place! BBQ pork rice rolls Shrimp rice rolls Pork and beef rice rolls Scallion pancakes Lemongrass pork w/ white rice. The rolls were all similar with your choice of protein. I'm guessing by time we ate it at the house getting it as takeout, the consistency of the rice rolls wasn't as silky anymore, a bit chewy, but you could steam it back to life over the stove. The scallion pancakes the kiddos enjoyed, with its dipping sauce, pretty standard style crispy and light. The lemongrass pork was probably my favorite from here. Well seasoned, cooked well. Life is short F....it up! Family, Flavor, Friends Was in the area running some errands inside the stop in here for lunch. It's a small local place serving traditional Hong Kong fair. Got some steamed dumplings, which were part of course like anything else but nicely made and tasty. Got the soup dumplings. I would say avoid because it's not a soup dumping place got the wonton noodle soup, which was OK, but there are better places but decent job. And we got the rice rolls very silky and came quick those that you can recommend to have. Just make sure you get the extra rice roll sauce. But the star here was the jook or congee the very full-bodied. What set this place apart from others is the salted pork that's in. It was very silky. A lot of these places they use a pork but it's usually a tougher thinly sliced pork rather than a sautéed salted pork. A small but cozy place for some fresh steamed rice noodles. You can select an array of protein with your noodles. It's more like a self service type of place, ge those cutlery, drinks, etc. I love the fried wontons and steamed noodles with dried shrimps. I will definitely come back to try more dishes. Everything looked enticing but we didn't have a stomach to try them all in one visit. We ordered beef, brisket, pork, dried shrimps rice noodles. Takoyaki & rice noodles with peanut sauce were yummy as well. I tried their homemade fresh soy milk and was amazed at how different it tasted comparing to the canned or bottled ones. This was a casual little spot for dinner. You order at a kiosk before entering and can either dine in or take out. We ordered the wonton soup and pork soup dumplings. Both were delicious! The restaurant was quiet when we stopped by. Everything here is self service. The food gets brought out to you and you pick up your utensils and napkins. Small quick service restaurant that has some delicious rice rolls and other small plates. You order at the counter or kiosk by the door, grab a table and food is brought out to you. The restaurant is small so groups of up to 4 people are the largest that can easily be accommodated. The shrimp rice rolls and pan friend dumplings were hot and fresh so no complaints there. The soup dumplings however didn't have very flavorful soup even though the dough and meat were alright. Their rice rolls and dumplings are certainly their specialty, even though the do sell other items like dry noodles and soup noodles. I wasn't a huge fan of their noodles. Stick to their name! You can't go wrong with multiple orders of soup dumplings, shrimp rice rolls, popcorn chicken, and sesame fried dough. I see a ton of customers buy their congee too - though I'm not a congee person unless I'm feeling under the weather. The popcorn chicken is not even comparable to vivi down the street. I would choose this one over vivi a million times over. The shop is small and cute. It's usually very hot in there during the summer so be ready to sweat if you're sitting down to eat. It's a self service place- order at the counter, grab your utensils and sauces, and then wait for the food to come to the table. Or if you prefer, you can order at the kiosk for sit down and/or take out. One star is knocked off purely for how hot it is in the shop. Especially when everything they serve is also piping hot, it'd be more comfortable if they'd just have the minisplit ac running or even a fan. read more

The foods here are very good. I like the self service here since you don't have to spend extra money to tip. You pay for your food at the kiosk with your credit card. You can get your own utensil and dipping sauce. The restaurant is very small but people finished their food and left the table pretty fast. Seating is not a problem if you don't mind waiting for just 5-10 mins. The beef rice roll and ham rice roll I ordered were so tasty. Especially the texture because they use a special machine to make(石磨腸粉). They are so chewy(in a good way). The chicken chop w/ cheese & yellow curry rice are very good as well. Buns and Chinese donuts are freshly made, self service basically but absolutely no problem, it's the same nowadays service way in many places in China, cashier lady is very nice as well. Every item that we order is so-so... the soy sauce on the rice roll are too salty. The curry fish is the only thing I enjoyed, the sauce was just right and the fish ball are bouncy. The place was pretty empty when we got there but the texture of the rice roll was surprisingly really good - even better than big fun cafe. Beef was decent and rice noodles were good.
