As soon as you walk in the place, you're greeted by the most dingy looking lobby ever! The "white" seats have lost the initial color and have become a nice shade of FILTH! They have NO elevator and you're forced to walk up this winding carpeted staircase that looks like it hasn't been cleaned since the place first opened. And lastly, the room itself had this odor of an air freshener smell being forced through the vents to hide another scent. I became ill within minutes. The floor wasn't vacuumed and one the sheets had makeup stains on it. I didn't even sit down on any of the furniture. I was with my sisters and we spent 15 minutes or so looking for another hotel, which was difficult, because it was a busy weekend in the Providence area...we were there for a wedding. Finally, we found a decent spot in downtown Providence. I was refunded for one night. Beware: this place is awful, and they charge too much for a room that shouldn't be more than $25/night! Rest well!

The room had a terrible musty smell, and we couldn't open the windows. The hotel itself smelled like cigarette smoke, probably because they still have smoking and non-smoking rooms. The room itself seemed old and dated. The breakfast the next morning was laughably bad with stale bagels, reheated frozen sausage, microwaved eggs, and corned beef straight out of the can. My husband couldn't believe how much I had spent on this room. This was my first Best Western stay and probably my last.

Room coffee - those little shrink wrapped trays common to most Marriotts sucks. But the closet, fridge and microwave were all in tip top shape. Bathroom was clean and mold free. I have to say, I had what could have been a bad time turned positive by the owner Jimmy. After the 1st night the staff had a miscue and didnt know I was staying longer. After returning from work my clothes, toiletries and other items were gone. He replaced all of my toiletries. Found my clothes accidentally thrown in a trash can. He even went dumpster diving looking for my stuff. He gave me $ for the washer/dryer. Also refunded part of a night's stay. They got rid of the old beds and furnishings to all modern updated! Not sure if they have no carpet everywhere but on the 4th floor is plank flooring. Easy to clean I suppose. Especially when folks stay here mostly by the week. The wall of counter space is devided pretty nice. First off is fridge then transitions to stove top, sink, desk area with a pull out table then drawers above TV and counter. It's all one euro style run! Love it! There is a closet and full length mirror. Bathroom is also nice with a walk in long shower. There is a chair along side the double beds in here but it's NOT comfy. They also have a grab n go breakfast of muffins, oatmeal, snack bars and coffee. At least they had something ! Nice surprise.
