I Want To Be Fair And Just Relate My Dining Experience At Shantell's -
First And Foremost I Do Want The Restaurant To Succeed But They Need Help. My Friend Had Ate Their The Night Previous, And She Said The Food Was Ok But The Service Was Slow. She And I Met There And Was Joined By My Cousin. First- I Had My Pick Of Seating.., Inside Or Outside. I Choose Outside. Was Sitting For Like Twenty Minutes Prior To My Friends Arrival...
No Menu, No Waitress, No Water..., Nutting. My Friend Came..., Still Nutting. So I Went And Asked For A Menu. Got That.., Then I Had To Go And Ask For Someone To Take My Order. The Waitress ......, I Don't Want To Be Rude, But The Waitress..., Let's Just Say That While She Is Young And Flash A Nice Smile -This Is Not The Line Of Work She Is Destined To Be In. It Just Got Worse From Here On. I Had To Go Inside And Request Something As I've Been There At Least 45Min And ...,Nutting. No Food, No Water, Nutting. She Eventually Bought Out Three s m a l l Ass Pieces Of CornBread, And Our Iced Tea's And Yes.., My Black-Eye's Peas And Rice In A Small Saucer: The Kind You May Put Something Out For A Cat In.
There Was Absolutely No Follow Up Thruout The Entire Meal From The Waitress As To How We Like The Food, Topping Off Out Drinks, None Of That And Let Me Remind You - This Was On A Sunday Afternoon, And Time Was Of The Essence. ???The Waitstaff Mostly Stayed In The Kitchen Area And Laughed And Joked Amongst Themselves???
Wait.., This Get's Better.
So The Food FINALLy Came:

Now I Tip. And I Generally Tip Decent And I Knew There Was No Way I Could Leave A Tip To Someone So Inept At Their Gig.
I Was Just So Done There. I've Been Their Damn Near Two Hrs And More Hungrier Then When I First Sat Down. This Food Did Not Hit. There Was No Catchup, Hot Sauce Or Even Black Pepper And Salt To Season It With. It Was Nursing Home Type Food. My Dish WAS Supposed To Be Be Coconut Grits - The Only Way Any Coconut Was In My Grits I'd Have To Go To The Store, Buy A Coconut And Grater It Myself. It Was

Bad. Like The Student In The Principal's Office. Bad.
But Wait- Wait-Wait:
I Paid The Bill And I Was Sooooooooooooooo Upset, I Walked To My Car Intending To Leave And Having Left No Tip, When I Went Back To Take Care Of Something Completely Outside of My Meal -
The Waitress Say..,"Oh I'm Glad Your Back As I Forgot To Charge You For The Third Meal" At My Table- My Cousin's Meal-
I Looked At Her Like She Was Crazy. I Did Not Know That She Did Not Put The Meal On The Bill. It Truly Was Not My Fault. I Was ThisCloseTo Saying And Doing Something That Could Properly Warrant The Police Being Called On Me So I Kept My Kool And Paid- Again- For What Has To Be The Most Bazaar Meal I Think I Have Ever Had.
Now To Be Fair.., I Relate All This To The Community As I Always Do. Still I Like The Actual Location. I Want To Support Hard Working People At This Time.., I Want Them To Succeed. This Is A Each One Teach One Moment And I Hope That The Young Staff There Get A Real Insight On How To Do Right.
