Obsessed is an understatement! This place is SO GOOD! The waitresses are hilarious and nice, and they have the largest and tastiest sweet tea you'll ever have. And they keep em coming! We were craving a regular cheeseburger, and happened to see this place had good recommendations. So glad we stopped in. It's a little in the cuts, behind the bridge leaving Sanford to head to Deland, and if you aren't paying attention you might miss it. But when you get there you're blown away by the quaintness of it, the gorgeous view, and true southern hospitality. The menu is extensive, and the boast that they have the best Philly in town (will have to try it), and they also serve breakfast all day on Sundays. Oh, I totally forgot to mention that some deity must supply the veggies cause they taste heaven sent. My bf that doesn't even like tomatoes commented about how fresh and tiny they were. We took a short ride and stopped here and boy did we enjoy it! The food was good, the atmosphere amazing and you gotta love the employees! Connie is amazing and so much fun! Lovely outdoor setting with delicious food, I had the chicken pita wrap. It was excellent.

Good food, good service, and extremely reasonably priced. It's a bit off the beaten trail but worth the trip (it's fairly close to the Aldi's/BJs on rte 46 but down a side road) . It appeared to be a lot of boaters coming and going too. Friendly crowd with what appeared to be folks coming back from previous visits. The kitchen is small, and the place gets busy with diners and folks coming in for "to go" orders. So, pack your patience as the food, portions, and prices are worth the wait. The indoor dining area has about 6 tables and there are more tables outside, undercover, with ceiling fans. We had their burger, side salad and a breakfast burrito. We'll be back for more. read more

It was a BEAUTIFUL day to sit out on their porch and look out on the water We ordered a sausage egg and cheese on an english muffin with home fries. The sandwich was so hot and the egg was so fluffy! Super cute casual restaurant. Emphasis on the casual. Seat yourself and pay at the counter. Full of funny sarcastic signs and everyone working there has a sarcastic shirt on. We both had the breakfast burritos and they were FILLING! The side of biscuits and gravy were good too. Definitely our new spot when boating on the St. John's / Lake Monroe. Our server was so nice and welcoming, the food was fairly priced and DELICIOUS. Hubs got the chicken philly w tots, which I of course stole a bite of and it had amazing flavor and the tots were perfect, not greasy but great crunch. I had the BLT and it was full of bacon, perfect ratio of lettuce + tomato. We will absolutely be back often! read more

We ate at The Deli every morning for breakfast; and, we enjoyed the coffee, the food, and the friendly service. We got so comfortable that we helped ourselves to refills one day when it was particularly busy. But, on the other days, the servers and the owner were quick with the refills, providing lots of chilled half-and-half as needed. The Corned Beef is incredible; and, they cooked it "extra crispy" for me every time. My wife and I returned when we were in Sanford over the weekend; and, we took the courtesy van over for breakfast. She and I loved our food and coffee; and, appreciated the spectacular service. Connie is such a delight; and, she even opened the door early to let us; and, a few other folks that were waiting, in. If it were cooler outside, I know we'd enjoy sitting out in the screened-in patio; but, for August, we dined inside! read more

I love the staff and relaxed atmosphere. We always get the same thing, a turkey breakfast sandwich on a Kaiser roll and my boyfriend gets French toast. Their coffee and sweet tea are delicious too. Great food, great service. read more

Cute Mom and Pop diner. Staff is very friendly. The food was good. My only complaint is that when you sit outside, expect to smell smoke. There are several people smoking outside. It's a shame because I wanted to bring friends and family here when they come to visit, but they wouldn't put up with the smoke. Otherwise, nice, little place. read more

Would not recommend this place for breakfast. The biscuits and sausage gravy tasted like thanksgiving dinner with canned beef gravy on top of a small pillsbury biscuit. Inedible. The bagel breakfast sandwich was barely a step up from Dunkin donuts. The cheese was still hard and not melted. The beef hash was fatty and not very good. The home fries were greasy and mushy. We are not from here, so we were deciding where to eat after going to the Central Florida Zoo. We came upon this place and decided to stop. We were seated fast and got our drink orders in. We all got the iced tea, which they brew right there and comes in Sweet or Unsweetened. I got the Philly Cheesesteak, which is what seemed to be the big hit there. Passing through town, wanted good food not fried and heavy, I saw the club sandwich online so we stopped. First off, wicked cool location right at the marina docks. The staff was super nice and it's run really well. Second, the food was fantastic. We had a hot dog, the best burger on the river, a turkey club and the best Philly steak in town (haven't had any others in this area but it was better than the best place in downtown Philly, so what's that say!). My parents and I enjoyed a lunch here on a recent trip to Florida. Sandwiches were good, salad had a decent mix of vegetables (but not so much variety that it scared my vegetable-averse father). Key lime pie was perfectly sour and sweet. The service is fast and down-home (as in, be prepared for a little good natured razzing, as one should be at a small diner).
