After years of yoga and barre, I…read moredon't consider myself particularly "unfit" but man, Olivia kicked my butt in reformer this morning. Those pulsing lunges, the inner thigh work... I am dying. Dying! But dying in a good way. Like, I can't wait to start seeing the results like, 'hello, miss new booty'. Pilates is damn expensive in general - like $25 -$30 for a drop in class expensive. But Core Body is so confident you'll like it that they give you your first week free, then a new student special of $99 for the first month of unlimited classes. The only reason I'm doing 4 starts instead of 5 is that, being new to reformer Pilates, I would appreciate a bit more instruction on how to use the machines and (eh hem) modify, because like I said earlier, it is effing difficult when you're just starting out.

My husband has a few chronic injuries that have made exercise very difficult for him and I was seeking a trainer who could take these injuries into account while still pushing both of us to a challenging workout. Cassie has delivered on all of this. She's so genuinely interested in your life, too, which really goes a long way. Despite how busy she is (and she's incredibly busy - she just hired a few trainers to help out!), she remembers each client's unique situation. I have spinal stenosis, seven fused vertibraes, a slight tear in my rotator cuff and a herniated disc. I did Yoga for a while but hurt my neck and have been terrified to go back. I am pretty fit from all the cardio I do, but my core, and overall balance and tone need a lot of help. I did some research and found Alison. I told her about all my health issues, and she is very diligent about taking me through the exercises that will help to strengthen me.
