Regrettably, I have to write this business a negative review. Recently, my family wanted some boba tea type of drinks after shopping. My brother in law knew about ShareTea, and drove to this place specifically. This store had a dedicated parking lot with many spaces, so convenience wise, not bad. It seemed to be very popular with the younger crowds. I saw a lot of kids of high school or college age. Not exactly my scene, but the building, both exterior and interior, looked modern and nice. Maybe they just opened not a long ago? The menu boards were also brightly colored and very easy to follow. Thumbs up. My cashier (and server, the same person) was very quick on his feet and polite. I ordered the recommended kiwi fruit tea with aiyu jelly. The worker recommended me to get either 30% or no sweetness added. Very attentive; I appreciated that. My brother in law ordered some kind of boba milk tea with "creama", which was a form of cheese foam? This was foreign to me, though intriguing, I didn't wanna try something new that day. (I AM SO GLAD I DIDN'T.) Drinks were kind of pricey, but it's in line of what you'd expect from these places. Service was fast. We received our drinks within the next 5 minutes or less. They also have a loyalty stamp card program. (Buy a drink, get a stamp, collect stamps, free drink, etc.) No check-in bonus for Yelp, however, sadly. Now let's talk about the drinks: My drink, kiwi fruit tea, was basically a sham, but a very delicious one. It's basically orange green tea, with some form of kiwi added in it. I could feel the texture of some kiwi fruit flesh, I could taste them when the fragments landed in my mouth, but that's about it. Kiwi was just a name-dropped, featured player. The rest of the time, it was mainly a citrus fruit tea. The aiyu jelly was a nice touch, though! Chewy, fun to eat, with a light sour taste. The entire product was summery, refreshing, and I would buy this again. My bro in law's drink, which he shared with my sister, was an entirely different story. He specifically got the creama (cheese foam) because it's the latest craze, and when they previously got it, they loved it. BUT TODAY, SOMETHING'S OFF: THE CHEESE FOAM SMELLED QUITE BAD. SO BAD. IT SMELLED LIKE FEET. NOT KIDDING. Against their better judgment, they kept drinking it despite the foul smell. They, and even I, thought they used some form of special cheese that was more pungent than usual. After all, there are varieties of cheese out there that smell quite "bad", that would be strangely considered delicacies. And even though it was an olfactory offense, it tasted fine--So they kept drinking it. However, the smell continued to bother them. Even the plastic cup that was holding the drink smelled gross, and my sister's hand also started to smell after holding the cup. At this point, I thought, it couldn't be bad cheese, could it? Or some form of germs? They found out soon enough the same night. My sister started to have diarrhea, in fact, 2 episodes of it. But after that, everything cleared up. So she didn't think much of it. To everyone's dismay, that wasn't the end of it. The very next day, she started to have more loose stools, and her husband was also starting to have very similar symptoms. Eventually, hours later, they started having fever. Now, it's a solidly confirmed case of food poisoning. I do realize this could be an isolated incident, and however much I loved my own drink, I don't think I would have enough courage to return to this particular location again, after witnessing this disaster's unfolding. It's a shame, really, because had this not happened, ShareTea would've easily earned its 4 stars. Unfortunately, since my family is still having extremely uncomfortable stomach illness as I am typing this up, I gotta give it 1 star. I am truly sorry. read more

I've had better taro milk tea flavors and this one just didn't meet up to my expectations. Boba was a bit too hard as well. Sharetea's BOGO 1/2 off is probably one of the things I miss the most after moving away from Arcadia, to be quite honest. Prior to trying this location, I had only had drinks from the Chino Hills location (now replaced by Omomo, thank GOD) and I thought Sharetea was absolute garbage. I maintained that opinion until I decided to swing by and try some drinks before getting gas at World down the street, and I fell in love with their ice cream green and black teas. Combine that with a BOGO 1/2 off deal and generous stamps, and I was hooked. I don't think I got boba from anywhere else in Arcadia after finally giving Sharetea a chance again. To be fair, their boba isn't the greatest, and their fruit teas are just okay, but do NOT sleep on the ice cream green and black teas! They're SO good, and worth the money even at full price. MENU I've been so so many Sharetea and quality has been pretty consistent throughout my lifetime visits. However, I was saddened at my late night visit here when I ordered my Fresh Milk Tea. This has always been my go-to drink and it has never disappointed me, ever. Unfortunately for me, this visit, the drink tasted purely of sugar and milk and not the usual milk and tea proportions. I live probably a 2 minute drive away from this Sharetea location but it took me over half a year to finally try this location. The Sharetea location at San Gabriel on Las Tunas left me a bad impression, and I have been reluctant to try Sharetea again since. However, by chance, I stopped by during their Happy hour promotions (buy 1 get 1 50% off) and ordered 2 drinks. Even on a Monday, they were packed inside. There are some kids hanging out, and some older generation people that are just sitting there and chilling. There aren't a whole lot of tables for you to sit, so this may not be the best boba shop for working. However, you do get drinks pretty quickly so you can go in and out fairly fast and move on to other things. There's also a small parking lot behind the store, otherwise there's also street parking. Just be careful because cars coming down Duarte can get fairly close to the parked cars and they usually come down pretty fast as well. read more

Great place to get your boba fix + hang out with some friends w/ some gamess! I would say that most of Sharetea's drinks are very sweet and are very strong tea flavors (which is a good thing) however I recommend you discuss w/ a worker on if you can adjust sweetness levels & such. I ordered the Hokkaido Milk Tea & asked for 50% sugar but they explained to me that the sweetness of the drink comes from the Hokkaido powder they use so getting 50% sugar may lessen the taste of the drink itself. I ended up getting 80% sugar & so did my friend--I added lychee jelly to my 80% sugar drink and the jelly made it suuuper sweet but my fried's drink that was 80% sugar and boba was perfect! So lychee jelly does not go well with the Hokkaido milk tea. I've ordered the cream top drinks before and they're really good but very strong and sweet! Tried the hot pot place next door & decided to get some boba after. I tried their advertised drink the tiger fresh milk which comes with their special boba. The cashier explained how they cook the boba longer for this drink so it is chewier and tastier. I haven't had their regular boba so I can't compare, but I did really like the drink & just like he said, the boba was extremely chewy. It taste like a sweet milk drink with soft chewy boba, not too sweet, just the way I like it. I will have to warn you that the parking is terrible on a busy night, especially once you get into the lot & its full, you have to reverse all the way back out. If you're in Arcadia try Share Tea. Afraid of having bad boba? bad quality tea? This place was up to par. It is definitely not those powder mix places. One of the employees recommended the Earl Grey w/Lemon iced tea w/Aiyu Jelly and Aloe Jelly. You just have to try this. It is a thirst quencher, especially after the gym. Aiyu jelly is soft and squishy, with slight sweetness. Aloe Jelly, tastes like you're eating a lush succulant and has that bursting texture, where juice just pops. I didn't have to specify the sweetness, yet it came out perfect. Like at 75% scale sweet of the overly sweet places. Travel: easy to access from Duarte heading west, and Santa Anita heading North. It was very refreshing and not overly sweet like other drinks are. I really like the fact that this tea place offers a different variety of flavors that your typical tea houses do not. Order: #13 - Wintermelon tea (4/5) #2 - Wintermelon lemonade with mini boba (4/5) Next time I will get the #13 Wintermelon tea as 80% sweet but it was still really good. The #2 Wintermelon lemonade is also very good and really refreshing! It's basically refreshing lemonade but with a Wintermelon finish. 100% sweet was good for this one to me. This is my favorite boba place in Arcadia. Growing up in Arcadia, there are tons of big name boba places like half and half, AU 79, Quickly, CoCo, Honey Boba, and Tapioca Express. Ever since I could remember the boba trend started in the 626. The reason why I choose this place amongst the myriad of excellent boba places it's the ambiance and quality of the tea and boba. When you walk in you're greeted with friendly and welcoming employees. The service is fast, I waited about 2 minutes for my drink to be ready, a lot faster than other places. The boba is excellent. It's soft, chewy and slightly firm, all great quality I believe in boba. And they don't cheat you out of boba that's for sure. I think I receive the most quantity of boba pearls than any of the other place I've been too. The tea is great for only taking 2 minutes. I always get the basic milk tea and my girlfriend always get the honey milk tea. Both are excellent! I've been probably around 12 times and each time has been consistently the same! This Sharetea location is newly opened, next door to the newly opened The Pond Ice Cream, with a small parking lot in the back (your best bet is to just park on the street). Sharetea is a chain (there is one in San Gabriel but there are also a few in Orange County) that specialize in various tea beverages. The 2 weeks before this location had their soft opening, the owner(s) were giving away free drinks (1 per person) to help train the staff. I went a total of 4 visits. Three of those visits were during their training and the last visit I made was after this place had their grand opening (which is why I waited until now to finally review this place so that I can include my experience after their grand opening). This is what I ended having over the multiple visits: Handmade Taro With Fresh Milk & Pudding- My usual favorite when I go to Sharetea. This drink has no tea and is blended with actual pieces of taro and milk. Because toppings are free during the training, I opted for the pudding. I requested this to be made with 50% sweetener. Had the same consistency as the other Sharetea locations that I have been to. Taro Pearl Milk Tea, No Ice, With Pudding- This drink is made with taro powder. I have never ordered this before and figured, why not? I'm not going to pay for this so if I don't like it, no harm (just goes in the trash). I was surprised to like this drink. It was not overly sweet (I opted for 50% sweetener) and liked the added pudding that I requested. I would order this again in the future. Okinawa Pearl Milk Tea With Pudding, No Ice- Over the past 2 years, I have been drinking a lot of milk tea because a lot of tea houses are dog friendly with outdoor seating (this location does not have, unfortunately), which is where my husband, our little girl dog and I like to spend our weekly date nights. With this drink, I was a bit surprised with the amount of caffeine that was in this, more than what I am used to in a milk tea. I was wide awake all night :( But aside from that.... (and I had an early morning shift at work the next day), I liked the flavor of this drink. The downfall was that because this drink is premade, you are not able to request the sweetness level. But the manager (who took my order on this visit) had reassured me that this drink does not taste too sweet. I thought the premade tea was not too sweet and I ended up liking the taste of the drink. I am not sure if this drink is normally this strong (since this was ordered during the employees training), but I don't think I would order this again. QQ Happy Family Milk Tea, $4.25 prior to tax- On my most recent visit, I decided to order this drink (visit after grand opening, paid for this drink). Wow, this drink has a lot going on but is pretty tasty. This drink is a regular black milk tea, but with a ton of toppings, that includes boba, red bean, pudding, herb jelly and lychee jelly. You definitely get plenty for the price (but less milk tea because of all the toppings that take up space in the plastic cup). I requested for my drink to be made with 50% sweetener and thought the milk tea itself was good. I would possibly order this drink again (as long as I am not stuffed because you can get full on this drink). ------------------------------- (Total= $4.65 after tax for 1 beverage) During the staff training, I waited about 20 minutes for my drink. But being that they were training and my drinks were free, it didn't mind so much about waiting. There were plenty of people crammed in the small space of this tea house. Only 6 small tables with chairs and some bar stool style seating (also 1 clean unisex restroom is available). However, after the grand opening, I was still surprised to find myself waiting ~20 minutes for my drink. This was on a weeknight, when it was not that crowded (no more free drinks, not as busy). But I am patient and hope the staff will continue to perfect their craft and skills and pick up on speed along the way. I like that this location has the same consistency of drinks as other locations. Service was friendly on each visit. I like that this location is closer to my house and so I do see myself coming back here in the future. But I think I will wait a little while so that the staff can work on both accuracy and speed with their beverages. read more

Update: I've now tried Both Sharetea locations closest to me: the one on Las Tunas in San Gabriels & this. All I gotta say is that the drinks in Arcadia location taste better! ~~~ Probably one of my new favorite places to get boba! I was first introduced to Sharetea in Texas (ironically, considering I'm from SGV) and was pleasantly surprised. As a boba snob from the SGV, I had low expectations. The closest Sharetea to me back then was on Las Tunas in San Gabriel. However, I never went back to Sharetea since there are way to many good boba joints just around the block and are tried and true... I just had no reason to risk having mediocre boba especially when I had heard that sharetea's "just okay" or "pretty good". But then along comes this Sharetea, right by my house! Tapioca express & Spiceology are actually slightly closer to my house than Sharetea but Sharetea's winning the game here with the following: 1. Accepts credit card 2. Good boba (has the right size, chewiness, softness, & consistency) and drinks! I like that the drinks have a strong tea flavor. Mind you, some of the drinks at regular sweetness such as the slushes & Oreo milkshakes very sweet but sweetness level can always be adjusted. 3. Friendly/enthusiastic staff. 4. Get your drinks in a timely manner. 5. Stamp cards Not a popular opinion but I also kind of like that the drinks only come in 1 size (standard "large" for most places), it makes you not have to think about the size and not so guilty since there is no option for "small/medium". Prices are standard, around ~$4+/drink. Wish they have WiFi though but, it's understandable that they don't since the place is really small. I visited Sharetea today for their "soft opening". As a heads up - they do not have any promotions or offers at this time. The staff informed me that they will not have any promotions until this weekend. Thankfully not much of a wait at the store - got to order within 5 minutes and got my drink in about 5-10 minutes. Drinks: Handmade taro with fresh milk: The taro was not what I hoped for - you get a cup of blended ice and milk with tiny chunks of taro. Not nearly as much taro as I would like. If this had perhaps twice the amount of taro, it would be an enjoyable drink and worth the price. Mango green milk tea: This is probably one of their more well done drinks that I've enjoyed in the past - the mango flavor is solid, definitely on the sweet side though (even when I got it at 50% sweetness). Goes well with either boba or their egg pudding. Overall, the drinks were mediocre. I was fairly disappointed by the taro drink. Their service is solid and staff members were all friendly and energetic. There is not much seating space, so this would not be a spot to study at, but the parking lot behind the shop makes it an easy stop to pick up drinks. read more

Sometimes they post specials on their Instagram page: @Shareteaarcadia After seeing the Sharetea sign during construction, I wondered how this new business would be able to disrupt the boba market. I mean, what's the new angle? How would they defeat brand loyalty? Does my cat really love me? What is my purpose in life? Okay, maybe not the last two questions, but you get it. We knew they had to make a great first impression. So they did. Stepping into the store, you could tell that the decor was carefully selected to reflect a modern, clean, and minimalistic look. The chairs are comfortable and the tables the right height. To keep up with the more modern trend, the left wall has stools up against a high set counter. The lights are bright, and the music, although loud was upbeat reflecting the staff's attitude too. Upon entering the store, every staff member greeted us with an enthusiastic "Welcome to Sharetea!" The staff is really big and learning the ropes quickly. The drink service was very efficient and quick, with the most painful part about the ordering because the menu is so new to the customers who spend more time trying to figure out what they want to get. This is not the fault of the service staff, but just some growing pains for the community. The service staff though is very patient and willing to offer suggestions. Their menu is very extensive with cold drinks with some that could be made into a hot option. We were glad to see that the drinks also had a calorie count estimate next to them. There were also options for less ice and less sugar as desired. During our first visit, we tried the QQ Family milk tea and the Oreo Ice Blended drink. The QQ Family milk tea is a black milk tea with red bean, boba, herb jelly, lychee jelly, and pudding. The Oreo ice blended drink is not only made with REAL Oreos, but blended with ice cream. My fiancée fell in love with the QQ almost immediately. My only thought was that the boba was a little bit tough, but otherwise the flavor of the tea and toppings were excellent. The Oreo blended drink ran on the sweet side, and calorie wise it was no joke clocking in at almost 1200 calories. Still, it was smooth, but had a hint of a coconut flavor to it. On our second visit, we repeated the QQ family milk tea and also tried the matcha red bean ice blended drink with ice cream. I loved the matcha blend, though after opting for less sugar, I felt it was a little tame. I did this though because traditionally red bean is pretty sweet. During our second visit, we got to know the manager, Jason. For both visits, Jason was watchful over his workers and made sure that things were running smoothly. After talking with Jason about his shop, we learned that this franchise intends to push organic ingredients along with fresher sourced items. We were happy to see that he was passionate and willing to hear feedback from his customers. He even asked us what we thought they should do as a business. Really, a very friendly and accommodating person. We were pleasantly surprised by our experience and can confirm that Sharetea is definitely one of our new favorites! I was in the Arcadia area and was looking for some boba. Haven't had Sharetea since they've relocated here and closed the San Gabriel store. I felt I had a solid drink with the kiwi peach tea with aiyu jelly. Luckily the person taking my order told me to get it without any sweetness because the fruit was already so sweet. The tea had enough of a flavor that it still pushed through the fruit flavor. The aiyu jelly was a bit too soft and lacked any chew but overall it was fine. I'd be back as I thoroughly enjoyed the drink and enjoy Sharetea over Honey Boba, which is close by. Also the parking is easier and convenient. read more
