This Sharetea is brand new, but it seems just as good as the Bellaire location - a major relief since I consider that one to have the best bubble tea in all of Houston! Even though I live closer to the other one, I can empathize with once-weary Sugar Land residents who now no longer need to drive into Chinatown for decent bubble tea. This location might even be a bit roomier than the other one by a table or so, making it a perfect hangout spot. Like all Shareteas (or any reasonable boba place really), you can customize the ice and sugar levels to your liking. If you are new to bubble tea, I recommend no more than 50% sweetness unless you are severely glucose-deficient. Almost all of the bubble tea options are great, even the unconventional ones. Right now, my favorite is the Ginger Milk Tea - don't be afraid to try it! Lastly, keep in mind that this location is literally brand new, having opened two days ago (12/30/16). They will probably still be working out some kinks as Sharetea's reputation literally precedes itself in this case. Expect long lines for now, but take comfort in the fact you can expect the quality of the drinks to be good! read more

There is an inherent issue when it comes to business ideas in China town, and that is if there is a successful one, others scramble to try to copy and get in on the action wanting a piece of the pie of success for themselves. End result? They start the business in the name of fair competition but what they do is end up cannibalize each other for customers rather than opening up businesses to compliment each other. I once counted 13 Boba Tea shops in the Dung Huang Plaza in Bellaire, Sharetea was one of them. Not sure how many of them are still left. The other such place is the Katy Asian Town, where it is pretty much the same phenomenon, except Katy Asian Town is not that as crowed as Bellaire but I can make similar observation to all Boba Tea shops there (few customers in each of the numerous stores). Stores located in places where landlord exerts better control of / agreement with tenant types tends to do better. I believe Sharetea in Sugar Land on Highway 6 is one example of one where they would enjoy better success overall and in the long run than their Bellaire / Katy Asian Town counterparts. The location is located in the same plaza as the long time resident Corelli Italian Restaurant and Half Price Books with no other similar business in the same plaza. Place is almost always full of patrons, but not too crowded or hectic unless there is a promotion of some kind going on (like BOGO deals). The store is a franchise, so it does share a menu with other Sharetea locations. One thing when it comes to bubble tea, one tends to stick to one or two favorites or comfort drinks, you might try a different flavor once or twice, but you tend to circle back to your favorites. For Sharetea, I'll have stick to their QQ Happy Family, which is pretty much on the top of their most popular drinks. It has pretty much all the things (like toppings) I like when it comes to Boba Milk Tea, nothing I don't. They have other items on the menu to try, but you never know, you just might be ordering one kind religiously. If there is one thing I would like to discuss about the difference in American drinks vs. Asian drinks is that the American drinks tends to be way, way too sugary. Step into a Starbucks and ask for a Frap and I swear they must've dumped 4 additional sugar packets in an already sweet drink. When you ask the servers there about it, most tend to look at you with a weird look when you ask for them to make things "not" as sweet. Their operative modes can only process plain without any additional sugar (pre-mixed and already pretty sweet) and any additional pumps of syrup you'd like to add. There is more customization with Boba Tea shops and you tend to be able to ask them to do less sugar (percentage-wise), amount of ice, or the types of milk. Don't get me wrong, they are still sweet, but when you ask for less sugar when you order your drinks, they are not going to blow you off and say that they did, you can actually taste the difference. There is a reward system for Sharetea of frequent drinkers (I believe 12 drinks ordered gives you a free one) when you enter your phone number. Again, this is a franchise store, what you earn here cannot be combined with those of other locations. Although I'd like to have one even closer to my house, the fact that it is in Sugar Land and I not having to drive all the way to Bellaire for one of my favorite Boba Milk Tea places when there is a craving is still a great plus. read more

I absolutely LOVE Sharetea. My go-to location is in the Bellaire location, but I sometimes stop by here. Although it's the same company, I feel like the drinks are made differently. I normally order the matcha red bean ice blended with ice cream. In the bellaire location, the keep the ice cream on the bottom of the cup while in the sugar land location they put it at the top with a dome cap. It may not seem like a big deal, it really makes the drink taste different in my opinion. When the ice cream is at the bottom, it makes it easier to mix into the drink, when on top, the ice cream gets finished faster leaving you with just the bitter matcha part. Now I'm gonna stop my rambling about ice cream. Hehe. My mom says that the bellaire locations milk tea tastes better because the sugar land location has more watered down tea. Other than those two problems it's a nice clean, location with a great atmosphere. read more

I'm so happy that there's a sharetea right by house now!! I always go the one in Bellaire for my boba fix, but now I don't have to travel so far for them!! This place is really good, and by far, one of my fave boba places to get drinks from! The staff at this location are super nice and friendly! Much much much more friendlier than the ones in Bellaire!! Oh and I'm not sure if their system is up yet, but when I went, they still used stamp cards (for now I think), which is different from their other location, so heads up! It's fine though. UPDATE: in spite of my criticisms, dang, this place is just unbeatable. No other tea house compares to how flavorful these guys make their teas. This is my favorite teahouse but they are overpriced and the hours at this location are dumb. They close at 10:00pm. When do they think people go for tapioca? The afternoon? The crema teas here with their sweet and salty flavor are a guilty pleasure of mine. After drinking Sharetea's milk teas and creams it's tough to appreciate it anywhere else. Decided to give Sharetea a shot (with caution of course, a lot of places over cook Boba or drinks are made sub par) but to my surprise! Yumm! I got the QQ Happy Family Milk Tea, and my hubs got the Mango Passion Fruit Green Tea-- both half sweet. He says his is super refreshing (and he's a picky--hard to pleaser!) This has become our go-to spot for a sweet, refreshing finish to any meal when we're in Sugar Land. The staff are friendly and always get our order right. The drinks are easily customizable, including adjusting levels of sweetness and ice on select drinks. I usually go for a fruity tea, which cannot adjust sweetness since all the sugar comes from the fruit, but I find it suits my tastes (just a tad too sweet, nothing I can't handle). They also have a reward system where you enter your phone number in the keypad, which is convenient since I'm always losing those stamp or loyalty cards. read more

The Hokaido is supposed to be a caramel toffee flavor but tastes more nutty like almonds or coconut. The drinks that change color are just lemonades that are a different color at the top than at the bottom of the cup and will blend when you shake it. read more

Stopped by here with a couple of friends after grabbing food nearby. ShareTea has a couple of locations but it was my first time visiting this one. The size of their shop is pretty much the same as the other locations. This place seems like a good place to study since many of the tables have plenty of outlets and they even have random chargers plugged in for your phones or Nintendo DS for example. I had their matcha milk tea and the matcha taste was pretty moderate. Wasn't too sweet but wasn't too bitter. Overall it wasn't bad but I like my matcha strong so I may ask them whether or not they can adjust it next time. read more

Out of all the boba places I went to, this was definitely up there. It's super convenient to have one in Sugar Land, and I loved coming here! I believe my drink was a mango ice blend with ice cream, and I'm a sucker for anything mango, so naturally I loved it! I love Sharetea and was super excited that one opened up in Sugar Land. I got the green milk tea with tapioca, half sugar. As Linh N. mentioned, their drinks tend to be sweet, so adjust the sugar level. The milk tea flavor was really good and identical to the Chinatown location (granted, it's a franchise, so I'd expect so). However, the tapioca wasn't as sweet as Chinatown's Sharetea but still sweet enough. I would give this place 5 stars, but it took 30 minutes to get our drink. Hopefully, wait times will decrease once the employees find their groove, but for now, 4 stars. Either way, this is a definite go-to tapioca place and in my opinion, the best in Sugar Land/Missouri City! read more

I've had a consistently good experience here. They make the drinks once you order them, and they are always just perfect. I like how the flavors are not your usual ones. I've had the okinawa milk tea, hokkaido milk tea, coffee crema, early grey milk tea and wintermelon tea. Wintermelon is a great option if you're looking for a caffeine free alternative (I got this when I was pregnant). On days when I wanted a milk tea but didn't want the caffeine, I asked them if they could make this with milk and they did and were very friendly about it. The coffee crema is a little too sweet for my liking, but if you're a frap person, you may enjoy it. My go-to are the hokkaido and okinawa. They are creamy and have a unique taste that you can't place, and can't get anywhere else. The tapioca pearls are perfectly chewy, and also consistently good. I've also had their egg pudding, which is a nice touch with the hokkaido milk tea. They also have a rewards program, which is always nice. read more

This is some of the best original flavor milk tea I've had! The right enough of sweetness for me. I have a huggggge sweet tooth, but I also don't want to feel like I'm drinking straight sugar. I have never tried mini tapioca pearls, and I am in loveeeeee. Try it!!!! That element right there was the real winner in my book. GET THE MINI BOBA!!! Although the price isn't the cheapest I've seen, I would happily come here to spend my money again. They do have free wifi, but if you're going during a peak time, I wouldn't suggest coming to study or get work done here.
