I bought a great shirt that fits well with a simple but tasteful Hawaiian design on it. My wife purchased a tank top that she really likes, too. The store, which is fairly small, nonetheless has two fitting rooms so that you can try things on. The staff was friendly enough, and the products are neat and well organized. Pricing isn't cheap, but it's not higher than you would expect either. Many of the T-shirts are marked as fitted shirts, but to me they are normal. I don't fit into fitted shirts too well, and even after a wash, the shirt fits perfectly fine, so you are unlikely to have to size up. If you're in the area and are on board with the mission and message, you'd be remiss not to stop in!

Shirt shopping is always easy at any Kahala shop and this Hale'iwa Store Lots location is nice and open and spacious enough to browse was easy to scan and look for the particular print that made it easy so that it wouldn't be necessary to open it up and make a mess. The shop here is very nice and organized while the staff here is a delight helping with any questions that I had especially when I was asking for a specific size. Not just shirts but Olu Kai Slippers are found here as well, love the quality of the items here and glad to find the shirt I was looking for. Thank you!

Before the alerts and sirens, we were shopping. We went into the HIC store - we love this nastalgic brand and made a point to stop in. We left happy with our items. Shortly after realizing these alerts were to take serious and we would need to get to higher ground, we headed for our transportation, which was the bus. The bus wasn't coming anytime soon and we knew we were far from our hotel. Something told us to rush back to Merv! Thank goodness we did, he and Hunter graciously let us hitch a ride into their town Mililani, where we would be safer while we waited things out. Merv's kindness just continued and he and his family gave us shelter into their welcoming home! They showed us Angelenos what the Aloha spirit is. This store is in a high traffic tourist area, so providing friendly and welcoming customer service should be a priority. I hope the staff receive additional customer service training, as a more positive and attentive approach would benefit both customers and the business.

This location is a standout because it was personally curated by the brand's founder to reflect the local surfing culture and laid-back vibe on Hale'iwa. She even hand painted the murals and selected the 100 classic records to ensure an authentic vintage atmosphere. If you like Aviator Nation, they have shops in Vegas, Nashville, San Francisco, Mill Valley, Aspen & Vail, Austin, the Hamptons, Orange County (Laguna Beach), San Diego (La Jolla), and Los Angeles (Manhattan Beach, Venice, Santa Monica, and Malibu). But this branch has exclusive North Shore branded merchandise, including signature tees, and hoodies and trucker hats. Not quite sure why it's called Malibu Shirts as is located in Haleiwa Store Lots right up North Shore and is filled with all things Hawai'i from the Elvis Blue Hawaii and Pan Am days to some more familiar places like Rainbow Drive Inn and doesn't stop with the incredible choices of shirts but mugs, totes and many other fun accessories as well. Walking in I did love the vibe of the shop as the decor includes lining the shop with grass hut look and surfboards hanging up the industrial ceiling but this cute and organized shop was fun to browse around the various designs to remember what was and made Hawai'i what it currently is now.
