Sharky's has gone down hill the past couple of years, if you ask me. The prices are higher and I don't think the food is any better (maybe worse). It's not somewhere that i'd ever pick to go... and if friends lead me there i'll usually just get pizza or a burger. I do like that they have pool tables though so we will go occasionally for that purpose. read more

Come on sharkys... you need to step it up if you think you are ever going to compete with Dinos. The wings were alright, but they were soooo breaded and extremely fried. You could barely tell there was meat underneath the breading. The ranch flavored wings were unique, but basically all they consisted of were wings that were spun in ranch dressing... They were very yummy, but after 5 of them, my stomach started feeling sick from all the breading. I will try you again sharkys, but for now, Dinos still has my heart! read more

Late dinner after Idlewild for 8 of us (4 kids). Giant bar, plenty of seating, we sat inside but the balcony looked great. Service was fast and friendly. Food was very good, we liked the pizza dip. The menu has variety of choices with some never tried stuff. Great big salads and loved the wings and buffalo fries. Old Review Below: A lot has changed here, I'd say mostly for the good. A lot more food choices, especially stuff to nibble on. Beer selection has greatly expanded as well. Bar service is good. You rarely wait for a beer. Bar tenders aren't sitting around gabbing with staff, they're always up looking for empty glasses. ============== Their wings are good, but breaded. I prefer mine naked and crispy. That said, their Buffalo Extreme sauce is great; nice and hot, but not killer (I love spicy food). Their Ballistic are too hot for me. I ate them once and they were good, but it's a bit of hard work for me. I think it's the Buffalo Extreme sauce with chunks of habaneros. While it tastes pretty good, the heat is too much. They have a damn fine turkey burger (grilled onions, mushrooms and jalapenos if you ask). The blackened salads are great too. They come with roasted red potatoes and a choice of seafood. Definitely work a try. Their mashed potatoes are also good, as is the steak, though the steak is a tad too salty. They have specials through the week that keep changing so there's always a reason to come back. They have a reasonable selection of beers. Nothing crazy, but once again they have Sam Adams and their seasonal, so that's a win for me. Beers for me a slightly more expensive than Dino's (about $.75 more per 16oz draft for Sam Adams). I'm not in the mug club, but I'm told the mug club is largely just for domestics (Coors Lt., Miller Lt, etc.). That and who wants to drink out of that goofy mug? They show tons of hockey. They have the NHL Center Ice package, so even if it's not on when you arrive you can probably get them to change to a game (assuming no other major games are going on). read more

Sharky's was recommended by our hotel and we were happy they did. This was a perfect place for a late dinner after a cross country flight. Leslie, our server, made us feel right at home and was very helpful with beer choices and menu favorites. I really liked the Stromboli, which could be customized with a choice of meat and veggie fillings. Checking in using the Yelp app got me a free hot chocolate chip cookie for dessert. Awful. Waitress was new. Absolute sweetheart and not everything goes well When you first start off. But when you pay for an 18.00 pork chop and the meat is the size of a quarter, well you have to bring it to the managers, Chelsea's(?), Kelseys(?) attention. And she was awful. Rude. Everyone at the table agreed that the pork chop was pitiful and not right. we live in the area and will not be back. Horrible customer service. Solid sports bar. I'd say the ambiance is what you're gonna come here for, not so much the food or service. Great for groups, families. There's a private dining room. Cocktail menu is pretty creative. The wings are probably the best thing on the menu here. read more

Met a friend for dinner and drinks here. The food is pretty good and not overly expensive. I had the chicken parmesan and it was more than I could eat. We were there during happy hour so all the drinks were 1/2 off from 5-7, nice bonus. They had a decent amount of tv's and a few pool tables to keep you occupied. One of the best services at Sharky's I've had! Decided to go to wing night here instead of our usual. Our waitress, Alexa, treated us with great respect and showed us true hospitality as well as having such a great sense of humor! Lol. She definitely made our night worth coming to Sharky's. The service was quick as well, and we had no problem with our food. The wings were cooked perfectly and the sauce (Buffalo Korean) tasted amazing! Always had something to drink as well! I highly recommend making your way to Sharky's, and hope you get Alexa as your waitress (maybe even request for her! Haha)! Most definitely will be our new wing night stop every week! read more

This is one of the best places if not the best place to go hang out and have fun in westmoreland county. The managers both named John, will gladly take care of you and if you're there for a specific game they'll do their best to hook you up. They don't have all the sports channels, but you can still watch whatever is going on. Abby the bartender is the nicest most knowledgeable person you'll ever have,and she's always in a good mood. Look for Sydney and Ashley to take care of you on the waitressing side as they're fantastic as well. Just an overall great place to hang out and have some fun! read more

Sharkey's is definitely the spot for happy hour, if, you can get a seat at the bar. Age range is well above what you may find in a bar that has such a crowd but hey who said older folks can't party too! The food is priced like your setting would be on a beach in Florida somewhere, way too high for what you receive. 10.99 for 4 stuffed banana peppers, which were delicious yet..... and sandwiches starting at 10.99. Stacked like it should've been worth 5.99. Sharkey's club: one slice turkey, one slice ham, 2slice bacon, regular white bread. Restaurant cost is probably $1.00 at best, that's a bit ridiculous if you think of it. No frills to set it apart from a chain restaurant. I definitely had a better club across the street at the park n eat. Disappointing. Pizza and a pitcher of beer, can't go wrong so at least that was available. By the way chicken is the cheapest meat available, so way does your price have to rise on wings? Find a new supplier or compensate in other areas to help the cost. Service was a bit lacking due to our server coming off as "new" to the industry, not so engaged with the customer. If your looking for a good drink with a friendly crowd this is your spot in the Latrobe area but I would take a look at the menu before deciding to eat here. read more

Stopped in here for a quick nosh (not to be pretentious,) with the girlfriend. Pretty good! We both ended up getting chicken tenders and fries. Their fries are FANTASTIC! I was impressed with the range of items on the menu. So much so that I found myself completely indecisive, which is rare. With a name like Sharky's I was expecting more seafood, luckily that wasn't the case, (I'm a weird Marylander who doesn't like seafood.) I'm hoping to return in the next month or two so that I can try one of their burgers, the Chicken Masala, or one of their various pastas. Our server Sydney is an absolute delight!
