They spent 2 months twirling my boys in the water with zero swim instruction. No breath work, no blowing bubbles, no monkey crawls, and no systematic plan for progression. My second issue is this place is unbelievably unorganized. Communication is either nonexistent or confusing. They switch times without notice and don't show up to lessons. One time my son's lesson got cut 15 min short because the swim teacher had to use the bathroom. We paid $50 for a 10 minute lesson. Wait, there's more. One day they were giving out snacks. With my permission and supervision, my 5 yr old carefully walked around the pool to ask for snack. The staff freaked out on him because they thought he was unsupervised. I tried to wave at them to let them know i was watching him but they kept raising their voices at him telling him to go back to his mom. He got a little scared because he didn't know what he did wrong and he ran back to me. That triggered the head coach, Kim. She screamed at him from the middle of the pool and humiliated him in front of everyone. Then, she turns around and screams at me like I am a child. She made quite a scene and was so disrespectful. My son was so humiliated he curled up on my lap and quietly cried. There was an older woman next to me shaking her head in disbelief. My son was devastated the whole car ride home. I understand they want to enforce pool safety but that is not the way to do it. they blew the whole situation out of proportion. At this point, I was just sticking it out because I already paid for a months worth of lessons. They switched us to the rise collective pool which was cold, crowded, and had dead mice. The owner scooped them out like no big deal while a bunch of little children were swimming in the pool. This wasn't anyone's fault but it just added to our horrible experience. So I decide to end our lessons. On our last lesson my kids show up excited and surprise, surprise. No one showed up to give lessons. There are three other kids without a teacher. So the head coach Kim steps in and my 5 yr old refuses to get in with her because she was so mean to him in the past and the water is freezing. My 3 yr old was brave enough to get in the cold water but he was miserable so we cut our losses and left early. We signed up for private lessons elsewhere and my kids made more progress in one day than they did at quick silver in two months. I normally don't write long reviews complaining but I feel like this place is a scam and other people need to know. Quicksilver is all about quantity over quality. They just churn out lessons and collect the money. They have no ability to actually teach kids how to swim.

She cried the first lesson and wanted to get out of the pool. Jaynie and the teachers are very patient with the kids , but also know how to keep them in the water through the crying to get them to a more comfortable place. I love their approach and how they focused on technique first (big arms, blowing bubbles, strong kicks), and progressed to teaching a little more each day. Leena was Izzy's instructor for 2 of the sessions and I was blown away by what she could do by the end! She was able to go under, touch the bottom of the pool, hold her breath for a few seconds at a time, jump in and go under, and float on her back for a few seconds. Izzy gained a lot of confidence in her swimming this summer. She told me each day she was excited to go in, get rings and put her head under. Most all of this is to Leena's credit. She is so positive and engaging, and is really great at building trust and swim technique. He's not there just to level up his students as soon as possible. He makes sure the children have the proper arm and breathing techniques so they are set for success when swimming. But anyone who works with young children should know that they CAN NOT learn while they are hysterical, and it is so important for toddlers to have a positive experience in the pool so that they do not develop a fear of the water. I decided to give him one more chance since I had purchased a package of lessons. The next week, when he started grabbing my daughter away from me, I asked him not to do that right now and he proceeded to tell me that I should find a new swim school (and then ranted at me for several more minutes - I couldn't believe how unprofessional it was).
