    Hash Brown Combo
    Melissa H.

From the outside of the building, it does not look like what I expected. When we opened the door to go in though, it was pretty packed. The place had pretty cool decor, out server was super nice. They have a great menu to order from, lots of variety. I got the special, which was a Denver omelette with avocado on top, served with a side of sour cream and house made pico sauce, hash browns and toast. My husband ordered the hash brown combo which was hash browns, with your choice of meat and eggs, and gravy on top. Our food was delicious and it was one of the best breakfasts we have had !!!! The server even offered me a to go cup so I could have my iced tea when I left. I will definitely be going there again.

we had amazing service and a tentative waiter and were seating quickly even though the line was almost out the door (once you see the food you'll see why). My order was two eggs, hash browns and some cottage cheese while my fellow comrades ordered a patty melt and BLT. if you're looking for a small town diner vibe in corvallis THIS IS THE PLACE TO BE. thank you, Sharon.

When i travel, I like breakfast restaurants/cafes that open early and really needed a cup of coffee and toast. Hometown ambiance and the freshness of clean mixed with aroma of coffee is a tell tale sign of the spirit of waking up up at your favorite family member who who lived in the country that the dawn of a new day was rising with the sun and they might put you to work but that breakfast was going to sustain you until the sun was high in the sky and you were ready for the lunch from that same kitchen.

Fast friendly service, ginormous portions, coffee is better than Starbucks and the OJ is so choice

Farmers market mornings and brunch this good? Tough combo to beat in Corvallis…read more After strolling through the Corvallis farmers market on a sunny Saturday morning, we popped into Odd Bird Café for brunch and completely understood why the place was packed. We grabbed a patio table instead of waiting inside and really enjoyed the atmosphere, though the QR code ordering system made things a little tough when trying to grab extra coffee, water, or ask questions without a server around. The Birdy Mary was solid but landed around a 6/10 for me, missing some of the spice and depth I personally like in a great Bloody Mary, but the hot drip coffee absolutely hit the spot. The food, though, was outstanding. My wife and I split the BLT with crispy bacon and avocado spread, paired with potatoes that were somehow crispy, soft, and packed with flavor all at the same time. Our daughter and son-in-law ordered the "I'm the Good Kind of Fat" special with house-smoked salmon, poached egg, arugula, and avocado on sourdough, and every bite looked better than the last. Odd Bird feels like one of those spots that fits Corvallis perfectly: relaxed, local, busy in the best way, and serving food that makes you want to come back next weekend. #CorvallisEats #BrunchGoals #OddBirdCafe #FarmersMarketMorning #OregonEats #FoodieFind

I always enjoy my latte here. I've also tried out their sweet and creamy cold brew (a little too sweet but as a treat it was great!) and their cortado which are both solid. My go to dish is usually the acai bowl. Plenty of textures, flavors, and a good amount of sour and sweet that makes it's perfectly balanced. The only downside is that the spoons that are provided are a little big for the bowl that you are given, so you are bound to spill a little bit. The Mexican bowl is okay, but not quite my personal preference since there is more of a curry taste to it. Overall come and give Bodhi a try!

Though busy on a Wednesday afternoon (it was the day before Thanksgiving after all), we found a table and had a great meal. I loved my latte and biscuits and gravy! Everything was tastefully presented and had wonderful flavors. The portion sizes aren't too big, so don't expect a huge meal. I found the biscuits and gravy to be filling for a brunch, but someone with a bigger appetite might want to opt for something more substantial. The staff did a great job getting many orders out in a fairly short amount of time, and based on my meal, they weren't sacrificing quality in the process. The cafe norms are pretty standard for a seat-yourself cafe where you order at the counter, pick up your food at the counter, and bus your own table. I found Bodhi Cafe and Bakery to be exactly what I needed, and look forward to returning.

Rainy Day, Great Bar Seat, and One Memorable Meal…read more It was a cold, rainy Oregon afternoon when I stumbled into Castor, and I'm glad I did. There happened to be one open seat at the bar, which is my favorite place to dine when traveling. Sitting at the bar lets you talk story with the bartender, learn the menu, and watch the cocktails come together. If you're eating alone, I highly recommend grabbing a seat here. The bartender was friendly, easy to talk with, and clearly knew both the menu and the craft behind the bar. One thing that stood out right away was their use of fresh local ingredients, which really shows up in the flavor of the dishes and drinks. I started with the Golden Manhattan, made with a pecan-infused bourbon that was fantastic. It had a rich, slightly nutty flavor with warm vanilla notes and just the right touch of sweetness. Smooth, balanced, and a great way to kick off the meal. Alongside that I ordered the chorizo clam chowder, which brought a creamy base with just the right amount of spice from the chorizo. Comfort food with a little personality. For dinner I switched gears and ordered the Creole Sour. This one really stood out. Bright citrus up front, a smooth bourbon backbone, and a subtle spice note that tied perfectly into the Creole theme. It had that classic sour balance, tart, slightly sweet, and refreshing without overpowering the drink. Dinner was the gumbo with hot bread and butter, and it delivered. Deep flavor, a nice slow warmth from the spice, and hearty enough to make the rainy Oregon weather feel like part of the experience. To finish things off I kept it simple with a neat pour of Ben Holladay, which made for the perfect nightcap. The staff were welcoming and relaxed, which made the whole experience feel easy and comfortable. This is the kind of place that works whether you're dining solo, meeting friends, out with someone special, or grabbing dinner with a group. The price point landed right where it should be for the quality of food, cocktails, and service. If you're in Corvallis and can grab a seat at the bar at Castor, take it. Order a cocktail, settle in, and enjoy the ride. It turned a rainy afternoon into one heck of a meal.

A full-blown masterpiece. This isn't your average slice of cheesecake. What Craves serves is a velvety, rich, and luxuriously whipped creation perched atop pillowy-soft brioche toast that's lightly crisped to perfection. It's drizzled in a deep marionberry reduction that strikes the perfect balance between tart and sweet, and topped with plump, juicy blackberries that taste like they were picked fresh that morning. Add in the subtle crunch of a graham cracker crumble dusted over the whole plate, and you've got a dessert that's indulgent, elegant, and dangerously addictive. The texture contrast between the creamy cheesecake filling, the light toast, and the rich berry drizzle is unforgettable. It's like French toast met cheesecake, fell in love, and had a baby--with Oregon marionberries blessing the union. Whether you're a local or just passing through Corvallis, make Craves your dessert destination. I'll be coming back for another round (or three) of this marionberry magic. Bravo to the team--this place is a sweet tooth's dream!
