Gotta take a break . Driving from I - 5 to Yachats is arduous . In the town of Alsea , there is respite . Sat outside with the family . Dogs , too . Family style menu . Burgers , sandos , breakfast , etc...... Service was a little slow 'cause staffing . However , everything tasted good . Call it what you want....hole in the wall , greasy spoon , it's popular . Especially for motorcycles . Many motorcycles .

We love the relaxing drive down Alsea highway to the coast. Passed by this cafe many times and there is always lots of cars outside but we never stopped until my dentist in Salem recommended them. Can't believe we let this one go by!!!! Breakfast was great! Deb was great! Service was great! She is " Wonder Woman" doing it all herself. Server and cook! Cute establishment with lots of fun stuff on the walls to entertain you as you wait. Prices also good compared to most and she buys local as much as possible. Farm fresh eggs were a surprise and for that alone we will be back. Good job Deb!! Next time we will make sure and try your home made pies

First you want to recognize this isn't fancy city folk stuff. This is a good place to grab a good bite. The waitress was helpful and supportive of the fact that I had two young kids with us. We spoke English and Spanish in our group and never once did we ever feel out of place. Sometimes in small towns it's a little uncomfortable, but this place was cool. I'm originally from Miami and now live in Eugene. Ive eaten a lot of burgers and a lot of montecristos at fancier places, and this place had a solid double cheese burger that hit the spot, crispy fresh fried onion rings, great fries, and a yummy montecristo. I would absolutely come back to this place. It was filled with funny little signs, and cool country art photography and deer horns. It was perfect for what we wanted on a sunny spring day.

I ate literally, blueberry pie (heated) ala mode. My wife enjoyed tuna melt/fries. Tasty all. Nice clean little place way out in the coast range. Service was quick and attentive.

Amazing food and service, came in with a big group after a camping trip but food came quick and delicious.

This place is a gem. A fixture of Alsea that you shouldn't miss if you're on your way through town. We had great, personalized service and delicious home-cooked food -- fresh hand-cut French fries, an excellent Rueben, and a solid Caesar salad. The perfect place for us to stop on the way back (or on the way to, for that matter) the Coastal Range mountains! And, they have a lovely outdoor porch for those looking for outdoor seating

    Chocolate cream pie

The pie we got was so bad!!! We got the 5 berry pie, which was way to thick, the texture of the pie resembled cheep refrigerated Chinese sweet and sour sauce, and had a paper thin crust. Who knows how old that pie was in the case. Also had the chocolate cream pie (again looked like it was over 5 days old) it tasted like jello pudding (Just because you made instant pudding does not mean its home made). The whipped cream topping took on a pink ish tan color from being in contact with the chocolate filling. In all of my days I have never seen this happen. The reason for the lonely one star was given for the country cafe ambiance, the best part about this whole experience was petting their cat outside of the restaurant.

Nice and friendly small town ambience. Roadside parking. A small flight of about ten stairs to get up to the entrance door.

    What a great little cafe!!!

The fries are fresh pressed and are delicious. The burgers were great, added the sautéed onions and fry sauce. Try the cheesy meaty fries if you're GF, it's a nice change vs lettuce wrap to enjoy your burger. Everything here is gluten free other than the buns. We sat outside under the cover since we had the dog, they came out with our order and surprised our dog with a dog patty! He was so excited! We went back in and ordered him more of them. We frequent the coast and will definitely be back! Thank you Hwy 101 Burger for an all around great experience.

So when we left on Monday morning, we of course had to stop to try them out. Excellent burger...I had the 2 patties, but because I was driving I opted for no tomato due to messiness. The fries and the fry sauce were so good. And the milk shake, wow. Hand scooped and so flavorful. My wife had the fire fries and she loved them. They were too spicy hot for me, but she enjoyed them with ketchup. The service was incredible. She was so friendly and explained the menu excellently. We will definitely be back.

I ordered their smoked wings, naked without any sauce and asked for blue cheese dressing to dip my naked wings in. The server brought me 5 wings but for the price of $13 they couldn't even put a little garnish on the plate like maybe a of couple of carrot sticks and a couple of celery sticks. I'm sure I've eaten 1 million pinfeathers in my lifetime while ordering wings but second wing in there was a giant pin feather on the wing. At that point I lost my appetite. The smoked wings were very tough and chewy. I don't know if that's because they were pre-frozen or possibly frozen after they were smoked and thawed. I just did not feel that the wings were fresh.. Next time I'm in Monroe, I will try another menu item as the wings are a hard pass for me.

First off, their customer service is off the hook, everyone was so friendly and welcoming. We ordered two drinks that were great. Making an attempt to be semi-healthy, we order two salads with roast chicken breast but also ordered onion rings and curly fries. The fries and onion rings came out first, they were delicious. The onion rings were perfect, just the right amount of batter and a great flavor. The crispy fries were also really good, I think my husband wanted more seasoning on them, but I thought it was fine. Then came the salads. Wow, they are huge. Not only that, they were made of the most fresh veggies and a great variety of them. The grilled chicken on top was excellent. Since we had somewhat filled up on fried stuff, I was able to eat just under half of the salad. But they do have to go boxes. I would recommend splitting a salad if there are two of you, especially if you have an appetizer. Near the end of the meal, a manager or owner was talking with all of the tables. He could not have been friendlier or more welcoming. If only all restaurants had staff this nice. We will be coming back!
