We've been coming here for years... We recently came here for brunch and I'm happy to report the food is still amazing. It was pretty busy for a Thursday. I ordered ahead for pickup We had: 1. Breakfast burrito: Combo of sausage and bacon. It was amazing and hit the spot. I did hope that there was more meat like we ordered and not just huge potatoes. It was still delicious and flavorful. 2. Chorizo and avocado omelette: I liked how everything was layered, chorizo and egg with a perfect avocado in the middle of the omelette. Amazing experience at Breakers in Rockaway Beach. The view was gorgeous, great lookout onto the water. Pacifica is a quaint area and that is reflected at Breakers. The restaurant had a homey feel and the staff were super friendly and astute. I got the patty melt and it was divine. The bread was buttery and crisp, while the beef was fresh, tender and warm. The fries were decadent, salty and delicious. The salad was refreshing. The ranch and chipotle aioli were savory and complimented the fries and sandwich perfectly. Sorry to say, the last two times I've been here have been mediocre at best. I got the grilled chicken sandwich which was quite large and with two giant, not very ripe tomato slices and lots of iceberg lettuce, it was very tricky to eat. I went through a million napkins. fortunately they have a dispenser on the table. Generous portion of fries, and they are very crispy and delicious. Comes with a little salad that has a "marinated" (no marinated flavoring to be detected) on top of plain lettuce. nice idea, but but add some dressing. The chicken portion was good, but pretty dry. And here's the capper, which will probably keep me from ever going again. We had breakfast here a while ago, and it was such a great experience. The food was absolutely delicious, the portions were generous, and the servers were very friendly and welcoming. One of the biggest advantages of this place is the location near the ocean. If the weather is nice, it's incredibly pleasant to have breakfast or lunch there and then go for a walk afterward. We decided to check out Breakers for lunch while we were visiting the area. The location is amazing as it is right off of the highway 1 beaches. The service was fine- the lady we ordered with at the counter was friendly. The people who drop the food off at the tables were in a rush and not attentive. The interior has ample seating ans they offer outdoor seating as well. Typical dinner style inside. The food was mid at best. We opted in for a burger and a patty melt. It tasted like there wasn't a drop of salt or seasoning on anything. The cheese wasn't even melted on the burger. Major disappoint, especially given the price point. read more

My daughter & her boyfriend treated me to a birthday brunch here... it was off the charts GREAT!!! Great menu, so many things to choose from but thought I'd go for the fish & chips. This was thee best fish & chips ever! Figured since we're close to the ocean, it HAD to be good & it didn't disappoint!! DELICIOUS!! ..as were the lightly battered fries & crunchy side salad cold slaw! My daughter had the crab sandwich (REAL crab & lots of it) & her boyfriend a much simpler brunch of spinach, bacon mushroom omelet with hash browns. My boyfriend and I normally don't review places, even if we don't like them. I don't want to bash a small business however I want to put this out there for their improvement. My biggest complaint is how disgustingly stained the plastic coffee mug was. You could even see lots of scratches from people stirring their coffee... not sanitary or acceptable. When I started to get down to see the brown stain that's when I stopped drinking it (my boyfriend did finish his though) The price to quality ratio is absurd. We spent $81.68 including a 20% tip for two coffees, disappointing imitation crab eggs Benedict, a comparatively small vegetarian burrito served by itself on the plate, and a cup of chowder. Food was really not good enough to be this expensive. I get that the restaurant is right by the water but still.. Overall I would like to see this restaurant which has a lot of potential to take more pride in their food quality, and general aesthetics (coffee mugs/ slanted pictures on walls/ outdoor plant pots with just dirt in them) We are very disappointed that we had to spend our hard earned money on this experience but we hope to see it improve in time to come. Sorry, no pic. Food was soooo outstanding. I had the Reuben sandwich with fries and a side salad. It was delicious. My partner got the ham steak with eggs and hash browns. The first both the fries and the hash were great. The ham steak was big enough to take home some of it. Now my Rueben was delicious. It will be my next regular order. I also usually ask for mustard and mayo to go with my fries. ‍ had so much I had enough to take home for another meal. And yes, they also have mimosas for those who partake. I like my Prosecco plain. Had breakfast here again, this time with just one other person. Service was still top notch and really friendly. You pick up a menu when you enter, then order and pay at the counter. They give you a cone with number on it and you choose a table and take a seat. They bring you the food when it's ready. This time I had the Greek omelette. While their prices are rather high, it's a lot of food. I could only finish half of my meal. It came with hash browns and toast. The omelette was delicious and I asked for my hash browns to be extra crispy and they were exactly that. I asked for sourdough toast and got 2 slices. My friend had the omelette with bacon and avocado and she loved it. I was a bit envious of the raisin bread toast I saw on her plate; it was nice and thick and looked soft on the inside. I visited this place for the first time today. My companion and I split an order of crab cakes Benedict. It comes with hash browns, which they cooked crispy, per my request. The Hollandaise sauce isn't the "gourmet real deal," (it's a diner, so I didn't expect that), but it was an enjoyable dish. They did not overcook the poached egg, yay! Bonus: they sprinkled capers over the top, and I do love capers! For dessert, we split one blueberry pancake. It's a large pancake, so it was plenty. The coffee was pretty standard, and I enjoyed it. We took a short day trip to Pacifica and stopped at Breakers for Sunday brunch. The wait was about 10 minutes, which wasn't bad at all. They offer both indoor & outdoor seating, and the location is really nice, right by the ocean cliffs with great views. You can walk around to sight see a bit before getting seated. For food, we ordered the crab cake benedict and the crab chowder. The chowder was hearty, delicious and had nice chunks of crab meat, must try if you're a fan of crab. The crab cake was a little too greasy and slightly oversalted for my taste, but the eggs benny were cooked perfectly and the hollandaise sauce was spot on. Parking can be a little tricky since there aren't exact designated spots, but we found a space in an alley behind Nick's rockaway. If you're in the area, this is a nice spot for brunch with great ocean views and good food. read more

We went here on a Friday morning/ brunch time. It was pretty busy but very sufficient. The employees were friendly and nice. I noticed one the employees talked to a customer giving some suggestions on chocolate chip waffles and pancakes. I thought that was nice for the employee to go out their way to make a conversation and suggestion for 10 mins! I really love their smoothies and couldn't choose only one. I chose the Tropical Breeze and it was amazing. I had the veggie omelette and added avocados. The cranberry pecan pancake was nice and soft, also something different. My husband had the crab omelette with a side of hollandaise sauce. We both had the clam chowder with crab meat. That was so delicious and tasty! The feel of the restaurant is casual and chill. Coffee was a bit strong and I liked it but my husband that drinks it black said it was too strong and bitter. Our meal was just ok the only thing that stood out to us both was the eggs and they were very good and also the raisin toast was good too. Probably won't return. Located just around the way from the Moonraker hotel/restaurant is this inconspicuously tucked away breakfast/brunch spot. it can get really disorganized during the rush and with two registers that never seem to be fully utilized in sync, it just allows the line to lengthen and the folks standing in them to get visably frustrated. plenty of options on the menu but the quality is uneven as my huevos rancheros & the mildly spicy chorizo underneath the eggs were perfectly cooked but someone else in my party's chicken & waffles were forgettable as the bird seemed a bit dry. the service is friendly as they checked in on us every so often and kept the coffee coming. parking around the 'hood is tricky because streets are narrow, the beach lot is only for certain businesses and fully enforced and the public lots aren't too easy to find. read more

They also had a good size patio but aince it was a little rainy they didn't have it open. They brought our drinks right away and not to long after we got our food. Inexcusable given this is California, and steps from the Pacific Ocean. Another reminder to always ask establishments if they use Dungeness Crab! I took my nephew niece and my great nephew out with me. My wife and my brother and his wife breakfast was good. The service was fast. This is the type of place where you order and then you go sit down by the time you wash your hands and sit down good, take a sip of your coffee. Your breakfast is there on this particular occasion I have the omelette with salmon and spinach. It was actually really good. The hashbrowns were excellent and a nice cup of hot coffee. I could not complain great environment, clean lively in there. There are other people obviously who were there and the staff was very helpful. customer service was excellent and I would highly recommend it. I have eaten here regularly for about five years. it is consistently excellent, casual, with good food and lots of it. Service is always fast and good, even though you order at the counter (it works). Best things: breakfast, (ask for crispy bacon for breakfast or BLT otherwise it's underdone, which is the ONLY thing that I have had wrong on any plate of food). I LOVE their little house salad, omelettes, crepes, waffles, and biscuits and gravy. Pretty bad experience here . I have a gluten allergy so I know it's not easy to go to some restaurants and try to figure it out but the girls at the register were really unaccomodating and rude . There was a whole debacle about me asking for a side salad instead of fries because I wanted a side for my burger with no bun and they just wouldn't make it happen. On top of that they didn't add something I know I ordered for another person in my party so I had one person waiting for a while before I had to place a separate order . Visited this place while staying nearby and saw the 4 stars so thought I would stop by. First, I have to disagree with the 4+ stars this place has. As you enter you order at the corner. They only have regular and decaf. The coffee was so bitter. There's strong coffee and then there's bitter coffee. This is bitter coffee. Then we went to order and everything has to be ordered separately. So our breakfast between me and my guest cost $70.00 for two meals that would have cost 1/2 price elsewhere. The service lacked. I ran out of coffee and no one stopped by to ask if we needed a refill. The ambiance is nice close to the water with windows to see the partial ocean view. However not worth the price when you can go to Nicks across the street for probably half to 2/3 the price this meal. I won't visit here again. I know value and I know prices. Expensive meals don't bother me unless they don't come with the service and quality you would expect for the price. I wouldn't visit again. read more

A fantastic diner-style restaurant on the way to (or from!) Pacifica. Located one building away from the ocean, if you get lucky enough, you can nab one of two tables inside that have a view straight to the sea at the end of the cul-de-sac. The menu is pretty expansive, with something for everyone. I've tried the Crab Benedict, Bacado (Bacon & Avocado) Omelet, and the Huevos Rancheros here, and they are all delicious! You have to order everything at the counter first, and sometimes the food takes a little while to come out. But it's worth it. I usually just scroll on my phone and sip my drink while I wait. Breakers is now a regular part of my breakfast rotation, which means I'll have to visit sometime very soon! read more

You pay first (and it prompts you for a tip), which is fine -- but no one checks up on you after. No water refills, no "how's everything?", nothing. My wife and I are Pacifica locals and have supported this business many times over the years, which makes this review especially disappointing to write. As soon as we walked in, the cashier was rude and unwelcoming. We were never greeted, and while we were taking a moment to decide what to order, we were made to feel like we were inconveniencing the staff simply by being there. To make matters worse, after placing my order, the staff completely forgot to bring me my food. After everything that had already happened, this was incredibly frustrating and showed a clear lack of attention to customers. During our visit, my wife spoke with the owner about the experience. Rather than taking accountability for his employee's behavior or showing genuine concern for how we were treated, he seemed more interested in defending the situation. My wife explained that my brother had recently passed away and that we had come in hoping to relax and get our minds off things for a little while during a difficult time. While the owner did offer an apology, it felt insincere and lacked genuine empathy. We weren't looking for special treatment--just basic courtesy, professionalism, accountability, and decent customer service. As longtime local customers, we expected better. Unfortunately, we left feeling unwelcome, ignored, and disappointed. Based on this experience, we will not be returning. read more
