Patty melt with onion rings and a cheeseburger with fries
    Danny N.

We decided to check out Breakers for lunch while we were visiting the area. The location is amazing as it is right off of the highway 1 beaches. The service was fine- the lady we ordered with at the counter was friendly. The people who drop the food off at the tables were in a rush and not attentive. The interior has ample seating ans they offer outdoor seating as well. Typical dinner style inside. The food was mid at best. We opted in for a burger and a patty melt. It tasted like there wasn't a drop of salt or seasoning on anything. The cheese wasn't even melted on the burger. Major disappoint, especially given the price point.

We had breakfast here a while ago, and it was such a great experience. The food was absolutely delicious, the portions were generous, and the servers were very friendly and welcoming. One of the biggest advantages of this place is the location near the ocean. If the weather is nice, it's incredibly pleasant to have breakfast or lunch there and then go for a walk afterward. I would definitely love to come back!

BEST fish & chips, DELICIOUS huge crab & breakfast omelette

My daughter & her boyfriend treated me to a birthday brunch here... it was off the charts GREAT!!! Great menu, so many things to choose from but thought I'd go for the fish & chips. This was thee best fish & chips ever! Figured since we're close to the ocean, it HAD to be good & it didn't disappoint!! DELICIOUS!! ..as were the lightly battered fries & crunchy side salad cold slaw! My daughter had the crab sandwich (REAL crab & lots of it) & her boyfriend a much simpler brunch of spinach, bacon mushroom omelet with hash browns. The tropical smoothie with coconut, pineapple was the perfect ending to a DELICIOUS day!! We also sat outside since I had my yorkie with me. Beautiful day all around!! Can't wait to come back since I live in the Valley!

Omlette with hash brow and avocado

I came here and a weekday and there was a pretty decent line which speaks for itself. I was however a little disappointed by the service here. The staff wasn't very friendly and just wanted to get the order done with. This spot is a place where you order and then find a seat. It was a bit hard to find an open seat for two. Overall though the chicken and waffles was good the omlette was kind of mid.

Good quick breakfast. Food was very bland but not gross. You walk in look at the menus and order at the counter before seating yourself. Food is brought out pretty quickly, employees are nice. Of you need a quick breakfast before getting back on the road this will do.

The food was so good. I forgot take a photo. We had a party melt with tots. Great service.

We stopped in on the way to the beach from Sacramento and it was a cute spot right next to the ocean. It's self seat and you order at the register. The staff are friendly and the atmosphere is definitely a small town feel, like everyone's a friend. We ordered and service was quick! Food tasted fresh and the had fresh squeezed orange juice was amazing.

Greek omelette, extra crispy hash browns, and sourdough bread toast.
    Annie W.

Had breakfast here again, this time with just one other person. Service was still top notch and really friendly. You pick up a menu when you enter, then order and pay at the counter. They give you a cone with number on it and you choose a table and take a seat. They bring you the food when it's ready. This time I had the Greek omelette. While their prices are rather high, it's a lot of food. I could only finish half of my meal. It came with hash browns and toast. The omelette was delicious and I asked for my hash browns to be extra crispy and they were exactly that. I asked for sourdough toast and got 2 slices. My friend had the omelette with bacon and avocado and she loved it. I was a bit envious of the raisin bread toast I saw on her plate; it was nice and thick and looked soft on the inside. Our coffee was refilled several times while we sat and chatted and they checked on us without being intrusive. This is the perfect place to dine before going whale watching!!

Nice cozy restaurant by the water. We ordered a plate with 2 eggs, 4 slices of bacon, hash browns and bread. We also ordered a side of pancake and French toast. Coffee was a bit strong and I liked it but my husband that drinks it black said it was too strong and bitter. Our meal was just ok the only thing that stood out to us both was the eggs and they were very good and also the raisin toast was good too. Probably won't return. Very expensive for the food being mediocre. The service was good but had to order at front then they serve you at your table.

Crab cake Benedict, and they use imitation crab and charge $27.49. Ridiculous.
    Elaine Y.

Crab cake Benedict, and they use imitation crab and charge $27.49. I was extremely disappointed given how expensive it was. The side was standard hash browns. After ordering tea (served in a plastic mug) tip, tax, everything was $41.47. Biggest restaurant food purchase regret in a long time. However, the wait staff is nice and its dog friendly. You're basically paying to have a short proximity to the ocean

    Darlene A.

We took a short day trip to Pacifica and stopped at Breakers for Sunday brunch. The wait was about 10 minutes, which wasn't bad at all. They offer both indoor & outdoor seating, and the location is really nice, right by the ocean cliffs with great views. You can walk around to sight see a bit before getting seated. For food, we ordered the crab cake benedict and the crab chowder. The chowder was hearty, delicious and had nice chunks of crab meat, must try if you're a fan of crab. The crab cake was a little too greasy and slightly oversalted for my taste, but the eggs benny were cooked perfectly and the hollandaise sauce was spot on. Parking can be a little tricky since there aren't exact designated spots, but we found a space in an alley behind Nick's rockaway. If you're in the area, this is a nice spot for brunch with great ocean views and good food.

Veggie Omelette, crab omelette and clam chowder with crab meat Cranberry Pecan pancakes
    Charlene D.

We went here on a Friday morning/ brunch time. It was pretty busy but very sufficient. The employees were friendly and nice. I noticed one the employees talked to a customer giving some suggestions on chocolate chip waffles and pancakes. I thought that was nice for the employee to go out their way to make a conversation and suggestion for 10 mins! I really love their smoothies and couldn't choose only one. I chose the Tropical Breeze and it was amazing. I had the veggie omelette and added avocados. The cranberry pecan pancake was nice and soft, also something different. My husband had the crab omelette with a side of hollandaise sauce. We both had the clam chowder with crab meat. That was so delicious and tasty! The feel of the restaurant is casual and chill. I felt it was relaxing to eat a nice brunch with the ocean next to us! Will come again to try another smoothie!

Great food, friendly atmosphere, fast service. We went durin lunch on a Sunday. The fish $ chips was a full plate- big enough to share. The carnita crepe was amazing. There's some ocean view if you sit outside. Walk off the meal and take in the view. Wonderful place

If they're busy, they might forget to call your name and you'll need to go get the food yourself, which is frankly impossible to fathom when you come from San Francisco. But Pacifica is different, y'know?   Anyway.  ------------------------------ First, the turkey sandwich. 5/5 I'm guilty of expecting the meat to be the focus on a sandwich, but in this case the turkey was the filler, which, as a carnivore, is there a better meat filler? Bread, dijon, lettuce, turkey, queso. The dijon did for flavor what the lettuce did for texture, throwing in a twang that kept the sandwich interesting. Its creaminess tag-teamed with the cheese to keep the sandwich in one piece. Great sidekicks. The turkey was... Nothing special. Clean but mundane, for the star of the show was the bread.    Some of you might roll your eyes.  No shiet, Sherlock.  THIS. IS.  A bakery.   Cuz some of you might roll your eyes.  It's just bread.    But this isn't wonder-bread. It's dense. It's got a chew.   The sourdough is minimally sour, hearty, with a thick, hard crust, and made matrimony with the turkey. A lil bit of salt, the slightest tang, tango-ing into a single texture. Those of us who've had an egg sando in Japan understand how the softness of the egg salad made the softness of the bread fundamental. The turkey here wasn't slipping anywhere, though it complimented the meatiness of the bread. This, sandwich, needs, teeth.    I hope you weren't expecting to eat turkey without teeth. Perhaps that's tofurkey you're thinking about.   The crust was hard too. A well supported, almost crunchy hardness, and a far cry from the st-ale pork rind that the free bread in Mont-real would remind you of. I ended up turning the sandwich sideway as if I was enjoying a taco.   The best panera you'll get and a supreme sleeper.   ------------------------------ The second sandwich: 4/5 The sesame studded hoagie, on the other hand, was nothing short of Guns N' Roses. This sub had a KISS of intensity from the seared meats, a KISS of spice from the mayo and capocollo, a KISS of sharpness from the provolone, and a single leaf of romaine to give that little crunch and freshness, so you can tell your mom that you ate your veggies. There's going to be a rock concert in your mouth. With each element in a bit to prove their existence, it ended up being too intense for us. With these all being strong flavors, it's amazing that you could still taste everything. And they work well together. It's just that your taste buds will send an SOS, walking out of a Black Sabbath concert feeling a bit drained, like Spongebob breaking down after working the tables at Squidward's five star restaurant. The crustiness of the roll, the studded texture of the sesame, the meat escarpment slipping out, you will have no more desire for thee. Water. Something to cleanse the mouth.   If you're one of those among us who gets sweet emotions eating curry without naan or rice, this could be your bad medicine.   * Keep it simple, stupid.

FOOD: 9/10 COFFEE: 8/10 SERVICE: 8/10 AMBIANCE: 8/10 FOOD: 9/10 I love getting an Avocado Toast from here. Their sourdough is thick and yummy. They lather the toast with a lot of Avocado, so you definitely get what you pay for. I love their generous sprinkle of everything but the bagel seasoning! I love their pastries as well. No notes. No comments. Honestly, just really good, no matter what you pick. Just know, they definitely sell out for sure! COFFEE: 8/10 I've tried 2 different crafted lattes from here and thought they were decent! I ordered a standard Iced Vanilla Oatmilk Latte, and it was okay! It was neither the best I've ever had. I do like how I can taste the espresso shot, and the drink wasn't too milky. I also tried their Seaside Shakerato (I think that's what it's called, I forgot) and that was yummy! I loved the salted caramel taste, but the drink was slightly too milky and sweet for me. I would still get it again, haha. SERVICE: 8/10 Service is pretty standard out here and straightforward. AMBIANCE: 8/10 The space is simple, but the view of the open kitchen, along with the display of freshly baked pastries and loaves of bread, really adds to the ambiance. There's a good amount of indoor seating, though it can fill up quickly in the mornings. Thankfully, they also have outdoor seating available.

I also liked how well everything complemented each other, though, I wish the ham was spread throughout the bagel. -- HOUSE COFFEE...$3.50 (Med) Nothing special, but no less solid. The coffee felt like a medium roast and it had a nice punch of caffeine to it, even if it wasn't quite as robust as I usually prefer my cup of joe. Along with their tasty sandwiches and the friendly service (all of the workers were so nice), the other thing I like about Chit Chat Cafe is how convenient they are. Not only is there typically no shortage of tables available (they have several outside in addition to their wealth of seating inside), but there's usually plenty of nearby parking available as well. What's more, they have outlets sprinkled around the walls and even live music on weekends! Despite how I'm genuinely a fan, Chit Chat Cafe is a little out of the way from me to become part of my regular rotation of go-to coffee or sandwich spots. However, if/when I'm already coming out this way again, I absolutely wouldn't hesitate to return, especially if I've got a hankering for a Cubano (which is way more often the case than not).

I wished it had been toasted more instead of just warmed up. It was pretty chewy and the tomato bagel I chose didn't really taste any different from a plain one. Ordering was through a kiosk and the food came out quickly, which was nice. The location is also super convenient since it's next to Target, with a big parking lot and lots of other food/drink options nearby. Overall a good spot to stop by for a quick bite, but I would recommend asking them to toast it a little longer.

My peeps & I stopped by for a quick bite & left sorely disappointed. The bagels aren't cut in half & have a comical amount of cream cheese so a little gushes out with every bite. It was easier to eat the bagel open-faced. They're thin & not properly toasted which made for the worst plasticky texture. And sadly, I could count the number of garlic specks on each side of my garlic bagel. Unacceptable. I tried a bite of egg, cheese, & bacon on a sesame bagel. It was too eggy & too smoky. One of the most disgusting breakfast sandwiches I've ever tasted. The pleasant staff are the only thing saving House of Bagels from a one-star review.
