Probably the best falafel I've had - perfectly cooked and seasoned, delicious even with no sauce. Will definitely be back for falafel, which I love! Both the chicken and beef shawarma were so good, again, perfectly seasoned, but the beef was my favorite - and I don't usually eat beef unless it's a Ruth's Chris filet mignon! The two gentlemen working were so friendly and enthusiastic about their food. I love going to restaurants where the people are excited to share their culture with you! Man, I really wanted to like this place. Based on my fellow Yelpers, I thought I would be smiling from ear to ear at the first bite...but not the case. Stopped in for a beef shawarma wrap based on the the menu pictures on here from just a few months ago. My wrap ridiculously salty and sour (perhaps from the over-abundance of pickles). Also, it only had the meat, pickles, onions, and a spicy sauce that I requested. The sauce was NOT the least bit spicy. I just feel that for $9 and change after tax, there should be a bit of hummus, maybe a little rice, some salad perhaps...something more than what was in there. As it was, it should've been around $8 out the door. I know, it's only a dollar and some change difference, but then add one or more of the above suggestions, and I'll happily pay. Although the grilled the wrap before packaging it, the meat was unfortunately lukewarm and rather chewy. Really disappointed, I expected much better based on the reviews here. Told them it was our first time in and they let us sample and try their meat selections and falafel! Absolutely excellent seasonings and mouth-watering flavors. The staff was very friendly and accommodating, everything we had was delicious! The meals appear a little on the pricey side, but you get everything you could need. At other Mediterranean restaurants pita and hummus is often an extra side, but it's included here, as well as delicious rice and a salad to eat with the meals. We ordered the chicken and beef shawarma meal and the beef shawarma meal. The meat is tender and delectably well-seasoned and crispy. The hummus - so fresh, pure flavors melding together. It is good on pita and everything else. The shawarma - chicken and beef are so tender with the rice that has just the right amount of seasoning that you don't want to stop eating it! The garlic sauce - yes it is made fresh and is the perfect on top of the shawarma or with the falafel - which is the best I have ever tasted! The baba ghanouj is fresh and well just perfect. Baklava for dessert. You can't go wrong here and they will let you try the shawarma if you have not tried it before. They want you to love the food as much as they love making it for you. Went here after seeing reviews on yelp. It was delicious! I had the chicken Shawarma meal. The chicken was moist and perfectly seasoned. There was a generous bed of rice underneath it. The hummus was delicious and fresh, and the pita bread was warm! They went out of their way to make sure that none of the meal components had an ingredient to which I am very allergic. This restaurant is amazing! Their shawarma is seasoned to perfection. My sandwich was enough for two meals, but I didn't have the willpower to save it. I also highly recommend the lentil soup, served with warm pita bread. Their fattoush salad is crunchy with just a bit of spice, and my husband loved the falafel. The service was friendly and professional. It is a counter-service restaurant, but it has plenty of tables, and the videos of food being grilled will whet your appetite almost as much as the amazing smells from the kitchen. We tried the Mixed Grill which was a variety of Kabob, Shawarma, Chicken and Kifta served on top of a delicious yellow rice with hummus and pita. The Mixed Grill was excellent and the owner told us he uses imported spices to season the foods which made everything we tried very flavorful! Hard to say what was our favorite as the Beef Shawarma, Beef Kabob and Hummus were all fantastic. Do yourself a favor and give Shawarma King a try! If you are like my family and I and not overly experienced with Middle East cuisine, this is an excellent place to try as the owner took time to explain the menu and was very nice and welcoming to us.
