I not only was able to get married here but my family came back the next year for Memorial weekend and it could not have been better! The scenery is out of this world, the owners and staff are so friendly and accommodating, the grounds are immaculate, and everywhere is so comfortable/clean. It is the best of both worlds for people who like the beauty and quiet of natural settings but don't like the hassle of being out in the sticks. It is a quick drive into town for shopping or activities if you come up for vacation. Plenty of air bnbs in the area as well for overflow guests. Staying here was Amazing! It accommodated the whole family, all of 50 of us. The place is huge and Frankie and her staff were beyond great. The amount of people that came up to me and said this was the most amazing venue they had ever seen was astounding and it was absolutely true. We had our wedding at Shay Meadows Ranch this past weekend. We rented the property Thursday-Sunday to have a weekend getaway for us & our families. This property is beautiful! There is so much space and so many areas to host the wedding of your dreams. Our guests kept saying how amazing it was. Our friends & family were able to walk around and explore and enjoy all of the natural beauty this venue has to offer. Everyone loved gathering around the large fire pit and roasting s'mores at night. The house and bridal suite were clean and wonderful! The bridal suite was recently remodeled and is the perfect space for getting ready on your big day. It was SO nice having our wedding party & family on the property all weekend. It made things so easy & fun! The owners & their team are amazing people! They were there to help with anything we needed and were so kind & friendly. Frankie is the owner and was so accommodating, the cabins on site were included in the cost and were gorgeous and comfortable so most our guests stayed on site with us for the whole weekend. They joined us for a Friday rehearsal, Saturday wedding, and Sunday brunch. This is one of the many big bear weddings I've been to and I can confidently say that this is one of the best locations I've been to. The ceremony had beautiful mountain backgrounds with wooden bench style seats. The reception was beautiful with a nice gazebo near by. Several bathrooms on the property and all of them were super clean and modern. If I didn't have my wedding already, I would have chosen this venue if I was looking for a mountainside wedding. My wedding was this past weekend September 18th. My family and friends absolutely loved this venue. My bridal party and family members each had a house to sleep in for the whole weekend! We were safe to drink and stay safe. Frankie the owner, helped me tremendously. I planned my entire wedding myself and didnt have a day of coordinator and frankie took on that role for me all day organizing vendors helping with decorations and organizing family members. As far as the aesthetics of this venue its absolutely BEAUTIFUL. All on it's own. The weather was amazing the set up is perfect. And there's absolutely everything you need there on the property. Shay Meadows Ranch & Resort is truly an amazing, one of a kind venue. This property has so much to offer and the owners truly thought of everything. Whether you are looking for a venue for a wedding, a family reunion or a corporate retreat, Shay Meadows checks all of the boxes. I had only two months to plan my wedding and in the beginning I was extremely stressed. Once I had a meeting with Frankie, my stress subsided. I picked the perfect vendors off a list provided by Frankie and everything was amazing; the flowers, the cake, the food, the photographer. Frankie took care of it all and truly made this a wonderful experience for myself and my husband. We signed a contract and there were some rules put in place but that is to be expected. The most important rule is no outside noise past 10pm so your event needs to wrap up by 9:30. I am a local property manager and my guests are asked to abide by the same quiet hours that are put in place with San Bernardino County. As a PM, the county will fine me or pull my permits if I allow my guest to engage in outside noise past 10pm, the same rules apply to this venue. If you plan on getting rowdy and partying past 10pm then this is not the place for you. It's disappointing to see some negative reviews for Shay Meadows left by a group who did not follow the rules, these reviews are an extremely inaccurate representation of the business and the owners. I can't say enough good things about this beautiful place and the amazing owners; my wedding was the happiest day of my life and I will forever be thankful to Frankie and Mark. This venue is a great spot for nature lovers and some family/friend time. We had our whole wedding party stay with us for our wedding and it was BEAUTIFUL and so fun to have everyone close by. The greenery and set up is perfect and made our pictures look amazing. We had so many compliments on our choice of venue and what recommend it to anyone. This place is horrible. The owners live on site and micro manage every part of your event. They did not deliver on 80% of the things promised on the tour with the main one being privacy. They will make you give a cash deposit and threaten you every chance you get to deduct from it including Frankie screaming she charges "$180 an hour" to watch a gate they didn't want people going through 20 minutes before my marriage began. My parents had to stay off site after two of the houses promised to us are now occupied which wouldn't have been the biggest deal if they didn't kick my own parents out of the venue when they got tired of having guests. The night of our event they shut down the venue, not out of ordinance but to their own convenience while using the foulest language I have ever heard to my guests and family. Save your money and go some where that knows what they are doing. *** on what the owner commented. She did not address anything to do with the micromanaging and failed promises on top of kicking my parents out who were trying to help clean. Not one person used a racial slur especially if you consider the ethnicity of the guests that were there. Her making these kind of false accusations to make us look bad just shows the kind of person she is. read more

Horrible venue and owners!!!!! As a paying customer, Please be careful, you cannot rely on these people being honest or truthful. The owners make up false statements and accuse you of things that didn't happen. We have so many witnesses that have come forward. This place has a scam in place and will accuse you of things, we took videos and pictures of everything when we left. They purposely do this to harass you and threaten you. All our guests were respectful and courteous toward staff. The owners, staff and security guard used such inappropriate language and racial slurs toward us and our guests, things that I won't even repeat here. We had a racial mix of respectful guests and how the owners treated our guests was obviously racially driven, so very sad they treat people the way they did. I would highly recommend that as much as we paid to stay at this property for 3 days for my daughters wedding, you stay as FAR away as possible!!!!! Nothing comes with the venue which you pay a lot for, we brought in all our own vendors and everything that was needed for a 3 day stay. It's not worth the constant harassment we have endured from the owners. They are dishonest and used such inappropriate language in front of guests and children. As the mother of the bride I was so disappointed and applaud by how the owner and her husband treated paying customers and wedding guests. They don't follow through on anything, verbally change things that were in the contract, use fowl language in front of children and guests. When the wedding was ending they shut the lights off without any warning and had security guards pushing and yelling at guests to vacate the property yelling the event was over. They treated mother's with babies scrambling to pack their diaper bags in the dark and guests like young kids at a nightclub. It was embarrassing and humiliating for them to do this. And the owners husband came out and was rude, used racial slurs and was cussing at people. We left the place spotless, cleaner than we found it and they still are sending and posting harassing messages and even kept our deposit stating they now charge more for their venue. This is obviously another tactic they use to make an extra buck as the owner had stated our deposit would be held and not cashed unless there were damages. Obviously nothing was damaged but they keep your deposit because they say their fees are higher now. I just have no words, I have never experienced this type of treatment from a business owner. They are such unprofessional and rude owners. Don't waste your money, you'll be miserable and unhappy in the end. read more

It even has a 2 bedroom apartment where my family stayed! The owner Frankie is absolutely the most generous and helpful person to work with, especially helpful with my disabled mom and elderly grandma, ensuring they were comfortable the entire time! Omg this is hilarious Frankie. You changed the rules without abiding to your signed contract. You did everything on your terms. You're better off admitting your faults than lying to a handful of intelligent individuals that have proof of everything. That being said I hope you learned a valuable lesson this past weekend... 1) don't change things that you yourself agreed on last minute. 2) don't abruptly stop reception music when no one was aware of it. ... YOU started out the weekend poorly and unprofessionally, and the group of people that paid every dime to you adapted quickly. But your way about things is disgraceful, and I hope you learn a valuable lesson from this on how to handle business. COMMUNICATION is key.... I remember you saying to ask everyone to move the cars because you were closing the gate at 9:30. I've read the contract. The wedding was supposed to fully end at 10. And if you meant the wedding to shut down by 9:30, you shouldn't have approved 10:00 pm on a legal document. This error would easily set off a newly wed couple. Wouldn't it set you off? You have quite the mouth on you yourself. You and your husband woke me up bright and early yelling at the couple to leave the day after their wedding. You decided to initiate chaos even before the 11 am dismissal time. I was also present when the bride asked for you to provide additional seating. Remember when I learned the word "pew" ... you gave my sweet sweet bride benches that sat 3 people. When you promised to provide additional pews the day of. By the way.... I'm half black and half white. My fiancé is Hispanic. Whatever slurs you claim was said... gives me a good laugh at night. So because this party was white, you want to throw out that they spoke slander to your family, security.. etc. Let's not forget... you had no business the night before being around our party, but you had no problem chatting it off with my fiancé'. While you were so intrigued I mentioned that the cabin was full of ants and if you even had a special spray that you would prefer that i use to clean your cabinets with. You never got back to me. Lesson for everyone reading this: a person who changes things with a signed contract is no one to be trusted. And it's unfortunate that you chose to make rules that were not apart of the contract to be applied. The bridal party and the bride made every effort to make sure our traces were not to be found on your property. You stole money. You weren't even supposed to be living on the property but apparently covid messed things up and you decided last minute you needed to sell your other property. So once again you put the bride and groom in a difficult position, because you robbed the grooms family of their initial place to stay. But still you didn't want to change the amount due. And don't get me started on the dog thing.... Come to find out you tell your clients that dogs are no longer allowed two weeks before the wedding. (The dog was apart of the wedding. And was initially supposed to stay the entire stay.) but miss Lola had to have special accommodations and close family friends kept Lola at a hotel right after the wedding. Well it takes and Aussie owner to understand why. Since you moved back you have Australian shepherds living on your property and they don't do well with other animals around. This wedding did not include idiots. You didn't communicate. You chose aggression, and you're confused as to why everyone is so upset. That's a bummer. Best of luck to you Frankie read more
