The first time we went before the 2020 lockdown, we were able to walk in, we did called before leaving and ask if they were open and available, and the second time we had to make an appointment in order to get in. They sit the kids in a car seat, they have screens with cartoons on it, there were also plenty of toys and my daughter loved it. We had a great experience every time, and would recommend it.

She's a bit older than your average child getting their first haircut, but i wanted the experience to be fun and memorable. I had heard great things of Pigtails and Crewcuts and decided to schedule with them. Schedueling was easy and I was able to do it online. I shceduled a first haircute package since it includes a picture. We arrived ther on time and were scheduled with Mrs Chi. She was very polite and consented my daughter when she selected a particular seat that was a bit inconvinient for Chi since my kid is tall. My daughter had lots of fun and was happy with her cute hairstyle with glitter on her hair. It took about 20 minutes or so and at the end, they let your child select a free toy from a toy chest which my daughter was pretty happy to select. Would come here again for a second haircut since it is resonably priced and daughter loved the experience.

It's $28 for a kids haircut but for going as irregularly as we go and for the experience it was worth it!

My son is about to turn 1 and with this being a new experience with strangers, we had a feeling he was not going to love it. We buckled him into the Lightning McQueen car and sure enough he had a total meltdown, haha. Thankfully our stylist was gentle, calm, and quick with the scissors and she was done in less than 5 minutes. He really just needed a quick trim and a clean-up around his ears. Unfortunately, some spots were missed, but I'm sure it was difficult with all his squirming & crying. If your child is not tolerating the haircut well, then they won't use clippers since the buzzing noise will make matters worse and scare them more. They do have other toys you can play with to *try* to entertain/calm them down. Their staff was very friendly and another stylist came over with a balloon to try to help distract him. One thing I did notice was that the vehicles and toys are not very well maintained and cleaned regularly. Everything was kind of dirty, faded, and covered in hair. It grossed me out a little. Since this was his first haircut, they do try to make it special by giving you a certificate, a few locks of your baby's hair as a keepsake, and they take a photo of you all as a family and print it. But that all comes with a hefty price tag of nearly $40. My husband was laughing that our baby's 5 minute haircut costs more than his barbershop lol. I don't think we'll go back here because of the cost alone, but hopefully our next haircut experience will be a bit better.

I came in to treat myself after passing a tough class, and she did not disappoint. It's become a huge challenge that requires me to fix it myself or return to the shop. This is why I've only been to a handful of people throughout my life, switching stylists only if they retire or move. Just as I hoped, Marshall showed his skill with scissors, clippers and any tool he used. He cut to the length I wanted while also making sure the form worked with the lay of my hair and shape of my head.
