After 3 months of twice a week cervical adjustments with Dr.Kim I feel like he has made things worse. My initial tight neck pain was alleviated with a few normal adjustments, but after his X-rays he said I needed long term care and switched to "knee to chest" adjustments now I have deep pain in my head/neck that I didn't have when I started treatment. Upon asking questions about my treatment, Dr. Kim would get very defensive and was very short with me making my visits rather uncomfortable. When I mentioned my approved visits may run out soon (even though I had another month left) he told me to go back to my primary Dr. In other words he couldn't help me any longer. Very upsetting that I have this new pain I hadn't started with and then he dismisses me from his care completely. Very bad experience for me and I do not recommend him. read more

Was sent to Dr. Kim by referral from my neurologist for my migraines. Dr. Kim is considered an expert in cervical chiropractic care. Since seeing him for about 6 months , my migraines are greatly improved. Not totally gone, but the frequency and severity are down significantly. Dr. Kim and the staff are amazing! I'm glad to have finally found someone who could take care of my back issues that I have had for over 5 years since having a car accident. I was a student when I got into a 4 car pile up and really couldn't afford to get it taken care of. It recently got pretty bad about a year ago. My knees started hurting when playing sports, I could barely run for more than 10 minutes without feeling pain down my left leg, my back would have a clicking noise everytime I lifted my left leg. I was in denial for a long time until I couldn't take it anymore. Dr. Kim's office and his staff was professional They saw me quickly and the clarity of the explanations was fantastic. The first visit was about 30 minutes for the consultation and the adjustments. The cool thing about Dr. Kim is that he asks you for permission to pray for you before treating you. I tell you I'm not a religious guy, but with that said, any higher power that can be channeled to help heal my back, I'll take it. After the first adjustment, I felt a good improvement and after about 6, I feel almost as good as new. I can actually do exercises that I couldn't because of the clicking in my back, knee pains are gone, I feel an inch taller and now am a much happier person. As for the insurances, Dr. Kim ended up taking my insurance where the other chiropractor I had didn't. If I had know that I would have sought him out sooner! I was very happy with Dr. Kim and went to see him for multiple visits twice a week for a long time. My insurance covered acupuncture (not chiro) and because I was being treated for a spinal condition in my neck and lower back I didn't want adjustments - only acupuncture for my nerve pain. After literally 40 - 50 acupuncture visits, at the end of my last visit, he told me to go into this other area where he began doing an adjustment. I was confused because I DID NOT REQUEST THIS TYPE OF TREATMENT. While I was walking over to this area, I was thinking maybe he's just going to do a couple tweeks as part of the acupuncture (honestly I was just confused). I wasn't sure if I should remind him I didn't ask for chiro but he just did it so quickly it was done before I new what happened. Then, as I was checking out, his office assistant tells me I owe an additional $60 for the chiro?? What? No way. I did not request (or want) that treatment and I am not going to pay for it. I told her since he did it, I guess they could send it to my insurance but if it's not covered, I'm not going to be pushed into paying for something I didn't want. After that happened, I decided I wasn't going to go back to him again. Months later I get a statement from him showing a balance for the chiro. When I called the office to reiterate that I did not request the chiro, the girl that answered was extremely argumentative and said "well I have it here in my notes that you agreed we could bill for it". This response did make me angry and I told her (in a rather harsh tone) well I'm not paying for a treatment I didn't request or agree to. In return she got very condescending, so realizing this was going no where, I hung up the phone. This is just a crazy, underhanded way to do business. First I want to say that Dr. Kim is a great doctor and he is very good at what he does. However, his staff running the office are unprofessional and have no idea what they are doing. They charged me for services that I never came in for and then when I tried calling them to clear up these charges and who I needed to speak to about it they kept telling me the person in charge was out of the office. I would then leave several messages for the woman in charge and never got a call back. Then even after I paid everything off they sent me a bill several months later for no reason and then while I tried to resolve it they sent it to collections. Really appreciate Dr. Kim and his effective adjustments (he prays for you prior to each one). I stopped going after a few appointments just because he cancelled on me a bit last-minute. Got a groupon so thought I'd check them out. First visit was ok but I could sense there were office "issues". Second visit was a nightmare! I prepaid for a acupuncture and hot stone massage but they booked me for chiro visit instead by mistake so they had to rearrange. I ended up being there almost two hours. Very rushed. One of worst massages ever. Person seemed competent enough but not equipped. I was forced to lay on cold plastic table with an ill-fitting sheet that kept sliding off with no bolster under my feet to protect my lower back. Instead she put some random object that was hard and bumpy under my feet. Dr complained that I didn't come back soon enough to benefit, but I had taken the first available appt. Get your facts straight before you insult a client ,and maybe get a new front office person or a less confusing computer program. Not be going back. read more

My family has been going to Dr. Kim for several years now. He is caring and his chiropractic touch is very gentle yet effective. His acupuncture treatment is a bit brutal for me, but it has provided good results for my counterpart. He accepts insurance but also offers $10 off chiropractic adjustments for folks without coverage on Thursdays; it ends up being $39 out of pocket. Dr. Kim and his staff are the best!! I had never been to a chiropractor before and was albeit a bit skeptical. But I had been having really bad migraines for years and was ready to try anything. I have been going to chiropractors for 20 years. Then I found Dr. Kim about a year ago. Located in the office building at The Promenade. This is a much more gentle kind of chiropractic care. No sharp neck adjustments, a more methodical, one click at a time sort of adjustment. Dr Kim really listens and remembers what issues you are having and wants to find out the source. He doesn't insist you stop your favorite activities, he manages care of your issues so you can enjoy your activities. His delivery of acupuncture care is great. He tells you what he is doing and makes sure your are ok. He doesn't push care that isn't necessary. He is genuinely interested in getting you in and out of the office efficiently and in better shape than before you arrived. I can say that I feel better every time I leave the office. His methods have provided very quick relief to neck, back, hip, and knee problems I have had. The staff is always terrific. Truly five star all around. read more

After my first visit I felt like I could fly. My husband also went to Dr. Kim as he has diabetic neuropathy in his feet. He felt much better after a few treatments. Dr. Kim is a nice man and a caring Dr. His goal is make his patients feel better. He had planned to make a trip out of the country but one of his patients was having severe headaches, he needed to treat her daily so he canceled his trip. He treats the condition, not the symptoms. He will not treat you until he has done a thorough assessment and knows exactly what he needs to treat and how he is going to treat it. Dr Kim is awesome! I was having extreme pain in my lower back in addition to my sciatica was flaring up. I had been to numerous doctors and none of them could really help me to get rid of the pain. I originally found Dr. Kim from a groupon for acupuncture and once I met him he was able to take in house X-rays of my back and help me to better understand what was causing my pain. Once he was able to see what was causing the pain he worked with me to make a plan for long term relief. Within a couple of months he was able to fully relieve me of the pain that I was having. Now I go to see Dr. Kim only for the occasional adjustment or acupuncture if needed. I have referred Dr. Kim to over 10 family and friends including my 83 year old grandmother and all of them said that he was able to help them tremendously.
