Brought my car for a check up to make sure everything was okay and the diagnosis was I needed a new catalytic convertor. I didn't have any check engine light but I noticed my tire seemed to wobble and I heard a knock when I was driving. It was pointed out to me that I had a nail in my tire by a friend. I called the Shell gas station and explained what happened and the guy that picked up the phone told me to bring the vehicle back and they will take care of it. I arrived and they had me wait for over a hour for someone to plug my tire. I offered to come back another time and the cashier assured me they would take care of me if I wait 5 more minutes. I waited and the guy came out and started to plug my tire. He was just about finished and mentioned it would be $25. I explained that I called earlier and told them the nail was picked up when I was there earlier and it was implied that there wouldn't be a charge. The cashier and mechanic looked at each other but neither said a word. The guy finished and I went inside to talk to the cashier to make sure we were on the same page and he said he would have to charge the $25. I reminded him of the call and circumstance's and he shrugged it off and insisted on charging $25. On top of that, I brought the car to another shop and the diagnosis was incorrect. I needed a tune up but my engine light never came on and the catalytic converter was and still is fine. They are crooks read more

I went to this station for my MD vehicle inspection and was so happy with the customer service that I came back to get my new tires put on. It's a great shop that does the little things to help you out and the prices for service are reasonable :) Shout out to the two ladies on the day and evening shifts that took their time to explain services to me/called me to pickup my vehicle! I went here today and I could not be happier with the service I received (on my vehicle). It was early in the morning and not much activity, so three mechanics jumped right on the job. They walked me through some of the issues and provided me advice on preventative maintenance. Cashier was also friendly. In the end, I think all anyone wants is a fair deal and honest service, both of which I found at the Shell. read more

I really liked this station because they carry K1 Kerosene at the pump. It was also cheaper at 3.79 a gallon than a station in Edgewater. The attendant was very helpful. I'd HIGHLY RECOMMEND this station for people who are looking for K1 Kerosene. read more

These employees don't wear a mask inside the location. They also allow customers (friends) hang out inside also with out masks.

If you need a Maryland state inspection or a car repaired these guys are great here the inside is small but overall it's a gas station with repair it's a good choice. read more

Came here to get my engine steam cleaned top to bottom. I'm told to wait out front. Few minutes later some guy comes out from the back and asks me what I want like I'm bothering him and asks for my keys and to wait on the other side. My husband isn't happy with his attitude either after going back to ask a couple questions so we decide against it and leave. Never walked out on any service before this. I'm not picky but there's a certain level of professionalism That should be present when I'm dishing out $50. Doesn't matter what the profession is or where it is. Needless to say we were not welcomed or wanted there. read more

My tire had a nail in it made a quick stop to this Shell they were able to fix it within 10 min very friendly staff

This review is for the car wash at the Shell station only. I stopped there on a Sunday afternoon because it was a holiday weekend I wanted to avoid the crowds at my usual full service car wash. This is not a full service car wash, just a small self-service drive-through. I got the eight dollar express wash, which is the cheapest option. The other options go up to I believe $15. The most part it got the dirt off my white car, but did not do a good job on the wheels. I will certainly use it again under the same or similar circumstances. read more

In regards to Mike T, I think you may have caught the owner in a bad moment, I've been going to this Shell Station for gas and service for 27 years and he has always been very kind and helpful. The mechanics are the best in this area, they also have the lowest repair fees and can be trusted, they are not out to rip you off. Reposting this directly from my google review, as I can't quite understand why the yelp reviews are so low in comparison. -- Bought a used car (my first!) and needed an MD inspection. As someone who openly knows very little about cars, I was terrified of going to a place, only to be presented with a long-list of 'necessary' work that needed to be done, and 'up-sold' on various things. This place was definitely not local to me, but I went here earlier today, based on both a personal recommendation by a friend, and other google reviews. I'm so glad I did -- I genuinely cannot recommend this place highly enough! To my great relief, my car passed the inspection first time, and afterwards - knowing that I was completely new to car ownership - a number of the mechanics took a considerable amount of their own time to talk me through general car maintenance, and all sorts of things to get the best from my car and extend its life. They made it absolutely clear that the car currently needed no further work (i.e. they were just being genuinely nice, rather than trying to sell me something). They even told me the approximate costs of certain work to ensure that I don't get ripped off it I go to another less-honest garage. I've already raved about this place to my friends, and this will be my first port-of-call if/when I need repair/maintenance work done. Went in at 6am on a weekday with a blown out tire, I asked the owner (who was the only person there) to use his hand jack so i could change my tire, he told me he doesnt lend out his tools, i explained my dilema and still he insisted not to help or care, i then told him i would pay to use his jack and he acted like i just asked him to hide a dead body. He finally relented and loaned me the jack , he charged me money for using it and then argued with me when i didnt say thank you, like he did me a huge favor, stay away from this station this guy isnt worth your time or your money. read more

Great place to go for any and all repairs. I've had tires patched, cars inspected, u-joints replaced, propane tanks refilled and every time we are taken care of promptly and correctly. While the gas here is always 10 cents more than everywhere else, its service for repairs cannot be beat! I just had my tire plugged and did not even have to turn the car off! $16 and 3 minutes later I was back on the road. If you have a minor car repair I would definitely recommend stopping here. read more
