To celebrate slurpee day on July 7th, we visited 7-Eleven for a free small slurpee. My colleagues and I visited this 7-Eleven, which is located in downtown Bellevue during the lunch hour. We expected a line, but fortunately, not many people were here for slurpee day, so we were able to get in and out. Located off of Bellevue Way, it's easy to spot with plenty of parking in the business strip it's located in. A few of the slurpees here are based off of soda, which I don't drink. But I did find lemonade slurpees, including a mango one, which I ended up getting for slurpee day. It was way too sugary to finish, but hey, it's free. The cashier was fine with us trying the different slurpees before committing to one. When he saw we all had our small slurpees, we were able to just walk out without a purchase. Easy peasy. All in all, it's a typical 7-Eleven with treats, snacks, some items you may need on the go and for convenience, with questionable hot food items. This isn't Japan, guys. You know how it is.

That's why my recent experience at this Walgreens stood out, but also why I feel this review needs to be balanced. We actually transferred our prescriptions here from Safeway a couple of months ago, hoping that a larger pharmacy would be more reliable when it comes to keeping medications in stock. At Safeway, we often found ourselves scrambling to locate another pharmacy because they simply didn't have our medications in stock. Unfortunately, even though we've only been at Walgreens a short time, it has still been a stressful experience. It's very difficult to get through by phone, and there have been multiple times where I've been on hold for 20 minutes only to have the call disconnected. Prescriptions are not always ready when expected, which adds to the stress. We've had moments where we're close to running out of a medication and it's still "in progress," leaving us rushing to the store at the last minute. There also seems to be some kind of disconnect between their fulfillment system and the pharmacy itself. To be fair, this doesn't seem unique to this location. Many pharmacies these days appear to be short staffed and dealing with medication shortages, and it's clear the people working there are doing their best under difficult circumstances. I truly don't believe these issues are the fault of the staff, but rather a reflection of how these companies are being run. That said, the reason I'm giving three stars instead of a lower rating is because of Grant, the pharmacist. He truly went above and beyond to help us with several prescriptions. He was not only knowledgeable, but also incredibly kind and genuinely sympathetic. Instead of rushing through things, he took the time to really understand what we needed and jumped right in to help. It was such a refreshing experience and made a stressful situation so much easier. Grant is absolutely the shining light at this location and honestly the reason we're willing to stick around and hope things improve. His level of care and willingness to help is something you don't come across every day, and we're very grateful for him.

WALGREENS @ KIRKLAND…read more Parking is available and had their own parking lot, spacious and has accessible parking on the side of the store. It is also shared with Safeway across. Ordered a bunch of print outs online, realized it was way too big for my liking and the guy at the register happily printed me out a new size that was smaller. Normal aisles, has a lot of items at a normal store. Most of the time it's packed where the pharmacy is, and only one cashier is at the front so it might take time if you're there during a rush. Also came here for an exchange/purchase a new propane tank, the guy came out and helped us, very kind.

The first thing is that they constantly I'll upcharge you at the register. Something will say it costs $3.99 on the tag in the store and then you go to the register and they charge $5.99 If (most people won't notice but it has happened literally every single time I go there, and I spend $40 a day there, since it is the only store you can go too, especially late at night) you tell them the cost is different on the tag and they will not honor it ever! They don't ever give receipts out to anybody and when you ask them they'll make an excuse to they go it's under something I can't find it, but now I demand it because I've been up charged so many times, or they change the quantity of your item, you'll get one and they charge you for 2 always One of my receipts that they never give but I always make sure that they give it to me. After adding everything up on my receipt one time, I was charged $18 over what it should have been. BUT 7Eleven is the only store that anybody in my huge complex and many apartments around me can get too, so we have to go there and get up charged and it's just really frustrating!! BUT the BIG reason that I am contacting you is because 7eleven now across the street is closed from midnight until 6 AM EVERY SINGLE NIGHT. 711 is supposed to be open 24 hours 365 days a year, that is what you guys advertised. And we always try to go over there and they will not let us in after midnight. And just tonight my roommate got yelled at, @12:05 midnight to hurry up and check out because they wanted to close. All the time we and other people want something and we can't go get it it's so frustrating.. And it's so frustrating to watch everybody that tries to go there at night get turned away. Most of the time and e we can see the cashier guy sleeping in the corner of the store. They have a huge huge clientele of apartments in the area and 711 is the only place we can go and it's a lot people that are so so so so frustrated. 7 eleven is supposed to be 24 hours a day and that's what makes you special. Can you please contact them and let them know they have to stay open. I'm literally about to start a petition. I don't know what else I can do other than contact you. I've tried to talk to them, but they act like they don't speak English when you try to tell him about a different cost or them closing. They're losing so much money at night from our area. But it's really an inconvenience and now nobody wants to go to 7 eleven, People are starting to talk about boycotting it. Please contact them and fix this. It wont let me tell you which store. It is not coming up on your list which is also why we cant order online pickup. This is the store (22 7215 Sand Point Way NE, Seattle, WA 98115 Open 24 hours (206) 525-4260 - They lie online google searches. It's self service but you have to wear gloves that's provided at the door or by the hot dogs. I said the buns were cold to the clerk and asked if there was a microwave. He went and warmed the bun for me in the oven. Hot dogs need warm buns. Some Condiments like onions , Pickles and tomatoes are exposed now in the trays. They ran out of mustard packets. Mayo and ketchup are in packets. I added the free chili sauce too near the Nachos bar . I never get nachos. I might get the Slupie on a more hotter day. I went to get a cheap lunch or hot dog at SF's Fisherman's Wharf too when I was down there.

There are also instructions on screen to try and guide you. You open up the app and find the QR reader and make sure you have your payment set, scan and go in. From what I understand there are cameras and sensors that track your purchases so when you walk out it just bills your account and emails you a receipt. Very interesting concept. So, my impressions of it all outside of the cashless check out is that it's basically a 7 Eleven or similar convenience store. Some hot food and cold sandwich options, lots of drinks to choose from including soft drinks, coffee and plenty of snacks. The prices are a little higher than at a convenience store, especially since at say 7 Eleven they may have 2 for $4 on a bottle of coke or some similar promotion. Here at Amazon Go they sort of have a promotion but they're more akin to Subway where you have to buy a sandwich or something. I had a mini personal pizza from here and at $5 it wasn't bad. I'd go again simply for that but beyond that Amazon Go is just a cashless convenience store, convenient so that you don't have to really deal with lines.
