Ive been a long time walgreens customer, specially this location for the last 12 years that I've lived in the area. My experience at this store was always mostly just average... until my last few visits. I see they now have new management and quite a few new hires and it is already so much better! The newer young blonde Ms. in the photo department is always super nice and eager to help me, even when there is a line & its obvious she has multiple orders to fill she is never overwhelmed or rushes our interaction as I've experienced in the photo department before...she takes her time to help me with a smile on her face and a nice attitude. Im glad they have new management its obvious they're making some changes for the better. Now the pharmacy..... well that is another story. I stopped using them a long time ago because they were just so unreliable... but with all these new hires & other changes I've noticed I hope to see the management make the pharmacy better to and I will definitely consider using their pharmacy again! read more

This is for the PHARMACY. Over the last several months the service has gone from bad to worse. Always understaffed, high turnover. I have an ongoing prescription that is auto refill. They don't start processing with enough time to account for being out of stock-which it is every single time it's refilled. I have to wait for them to order it so I'm out by the time I should be getting my refill. This is a medication I have to take every day. Today they were out but could give me five pills. I called to see if it was ready and the automated system told me it was ready to pick up. I went to pick it up and no it wasn't ready, but I could certainly come back later-this is after waiting in line at the drive-through several cars back (or I could go inside and the line goes all the way back to the photo counter) Seems that Rite Aid and CVS are going out of business and Walgreens is absorbing those patients. What a nightmare. On a sidenote - they're happy to give you your 25th booster at the pharmacy, plus every other Pfizer "vaccine" under the sun all at once!! The constant running ads in the store pushing the latest fear is pretty disgusting. read more

Terrible experience with the pharmacy, perpetually understaffed/ frequent staff turnover. Medications are never ready when they are promised, and it takes calling the pharmacy (often waiting over an hour on hold) to get them to prioritize filling the prescription. Also have made multiple vaccine appointments for specific time slots only to wait a half hour or longer once I show up at the right time slot. read more

This is by far of the worst pharmacy I've ever experienced. My prescription is never ready when I go to pick it up. Even when I call it in days in advance and give them ample time to fill it, when I go and wait in the massive line, it's still not ready. Then I will come back when they tell me to come back and it's still not ready. This has happened a dozen times and I'm sick of it. Additionally, No one ever answers the phone and I'm usually on hold for a roughly 30 minutes before I finally give up. Therefore, I can never call ahead of time to verify if it's ready because no one picks up. My only option is to go there and wait in the massive line for them to tell me it's not ready every single time. read more

Scheduled an appointment for an MMR shot. The website said to sit down and wait for my name to be called after I checked in online. So we sat down and waited... and waited... and waited... only to find a small piece of paper taped to a sign behind the line of people that said to check in *again* after checking in online. A stunningly poorly-managed pharmacy, constantly under-staffed. I'm so sorry to the staff who work there, it's clearly a nightmare based on the VERY frequent turnover. All the staff I've encountered are great, but this is a company that clearly is disinterested in customers, and ought to be out of business or will declare bankruptcy before too long. I can only hope that after they've drained the company of any last drops of value and put thousands of staff out of work that the executives will be okay and get a nice multi-million-dollar severance package. read more

This is the worst pharmacy I have ever dealt with. The management is extremely poor, and the drive-through is either jammed or closed for various reasons. In the past five years as a customer, I have experienced frequent billing and insurance mistakes, as well as incorrect charges. The pharmacy is always overcrowded, and they are severely understaffed. The staff often seem overwhelmed and frustrated, and the entire place feels like it's struggling under ineffective management and restrictive policies. I've had enough--I'm switching to an online/mail-order pharmacy. read more

I had 3 vaccines here. First they have you check in when you arrive in the parking lot on your phone. Then you walk to the pharmacy where you are greeted by a sign telling you to check in using the QR code. Then you have to check in in person at the pharmacy desk. So 3 check in's all giving the same information because none of the check ins seem to be aware that you've already checked in. I was 10 minutes early with an appointment and had already completed my questionnaire when I arrived. I still had to wait 30 minutes for the vaccinations. I was taking into a dirty, cold room with someone's leftover snack in it, dust bunnies and literal dirt on all surfaces and given 3 vaccines. They only gave me a band aid for one of them with the other two exposed. They did not swab my skin before the vaccines. I do not get typically anxious about vaccinations but the cleanliness and staff apathy made me feel uncomfortable here. Next time I will be going somewhere else. read more

Pharmacy is so understaffed that it's impossible to even call in to figure out why a prescription is not being filled. They need to hire more staff to support the number of customers they have. Instead it can take a lot of time and calls. They also have days where they have to close the pharmacy completely due to no staff available. read more

This pharmacy is not good. My impression of Walgreens, as a whole, is pretty low at this point. I wasted hours of my time trying to get a service from them that per their online portal, they should have been able to provide. I scheduled an appointment online to get three immunizations at this location, including the Mpox immunization. Scheduled the appointment no problem. I arrive and check into my appointment and the technician informs me that they do not have any doses of the Mpox vaccine to administer but they have it on order and will be receiving more doses in two days time. I needed to make another appointment a few days out. That is unfortunate and annoying but it is what it is. I at least got my other two vaccinations at that time, although the pharmacy was so chaotic that we all stood there for a 45 minutes without them taking anyone back for their appointments. It was well past my appointment time when I finally got called back. During that time, I scheduled a new appointment for just the Mpox vaccine a few days later. Again, it let me schedule the appointment no problem. I arrive for my second appointment to get my Mpox vaccine through Walgreens, and once again, the scene is chaotic. I stood in line for twenty minutes just to check in (while they failed to fill several people's prescriptions ahead of me), only to be told when I reached the counter that they once again do not have the Mpox vaccine on hand to administer. No information for why they don't have it, or when they might. It took another three minutes of me asking questions to get the simple answer that NO WALGREENS LOCATIONS ARE ABLE TO GET THE MPOX VACCINE AT THIS TIME. The order that had been placed for the Mpox vaccine following my last visit had been denied and nobody had bothered to let me know. I don't like to be that guy that complains on the internet but this process missed so many points where simple human decency should have made my experience as the customer easier. First of all, if Walgreens as an organization cannot administer that vaccine, I should not be able to make an appointment for it on the website. Second, if I can make an appointment on the website, and if it cannot be fulfilled then there should be some sort of process where your request is denied electronically. If you order anything else online and it can't be fulfilled your order is cancelled and you are notified as such. Why is this any different? Third, if I have made the appointment, the location is not able to provide the only service that I have requested, and there is no sort of electronic notification, then somebody should reach out to me to let me know not to waste my time coming into the store. Fourth, I as the customer should not need to keep asking question after question to get to the root cause that Walgreens just can't do what the website said they could. I should not have to work to get that confirmation, the pharmacist should just say it. The technician that was trying to help me went back to the pharmacist several times asking more questions for me. Just tell me you can't do it! None of this even considers the sheer amount of wait time I experienced far beyond either of my specified appointment times I had scheduled ahead. I should not need to waste hours of my life to find out that I cannot get the service that was offered. I get it, things get busy, we are headed into flu season. And systems don't work perfectly. But this was pretty unacceptable considering that after multiple visits and hours of my time have been wasted, Walgreens can't even provide the service that is clearly listed on their own website. And just judging off of other people's reaction as they were waiting well past their appointments or being told that their prescription could not be filled, I am not the only person frustrated with Walgreens. read more

This is the absolute worst place to get your prescriptions refilled. You will find yourself wanting to bash your head through a wall dealing with this staff. Never have your prescriptions ready, make you go in circles, claim they never got the refill request from the doctors, always something. So frustrating it takes at least 3 times to get a refill. read more

Odds are you already know what a Walgreens is, so i'll focus on this location specifically. It is pretty sizable in comparison to many other drug stores. The place is clean and well organized with lots of item selection. I had never seen one with a grocery section, where they have a nice amount of frozen foods for if you wanted to pick up a quick dinner or snack. Prices are reasonable, and it is a good stop in for if you needed something quick. read more

I feel weird reviewing large corporate stores since there is usually an existing standard for them, and this Walgreens isn't much different. It's kind of like, "yeah, it's a Walgreens." I had to get a prescription filled here and the customer service at the pharmacy was pretty good to start with. They were friendly and took my details promptly. I had about 15 minutes to browse the store while it was getting filled. The thing with the store is that is has a really random collection of everything. There are your standard drugstore related things like band aids and tampons, but there is also a reasonably large grocery section (with beer!), office supplies (more than some other places!) and their seasonal aisle is fun. The clearance corner in the back is really neat and you can find lots of nifty little things to impulse buy. The pharmacy is a bit slow overall but I will deal with it since it is my local. There is plenty of parking around as well. read more

The store here used to be alright, it was the pharmacy that was terrible, but now the whole place is a waste of time. The last 3 times we've tried coming in here over the past 2 months we've gotten to the register only to be told that the card readers are down and they're only taking cash. No sign on the door, no employees warning customers as they enter. Nope you complete your shopping, stand in line at checkout for 10 minutes, and then you find out. Edit: If you look at other one star reviews for here most of them are all for the pharmacy. The pharmacy tried running my insurance but failed to make it work. Called my insurance and they verified that I have full coverage. Not sure what they were doing but it seems like they didn't know what they were doing. I'm mainly confused how our insurance can work everywhere else yet they can't get it to work. My insurance even looked into their system and could see I'm covered for everything. read more

Somehow my prescription is never ready even when they say it is. After multiple calls to check in and be assured my pickup is ready, I still end up waiting 20-30 minutes for them to put my prescription in a bag. Worst customer experience. This is the WORST Walgreens. You never get a full prescription when the app tells you it's ready! You always have to come back 1-2 times or they tell you it's gonna be an additional wait ... What's the point of ordering your monthly meds early if they are never ready??? This Walgreens needs new management! It's sad because it's really one of the only options for this area... RE: Pharmacy They seem to be very disorganized. I'm going to have to find a new place to fill my prescriptions. I dropped off 2 prescriptions. Yes, it was written on 1 piece of paper. However, the doctor cleared labeled them 1 of 2 and 2 of 2 with a line separating them. When I came back to pick them up, there was only 1. When I asked where the other was, the Pharmacy clerk told me that there was no 2nd to pick up. Then she told me that they had a question for the doctor. I asked what the question was since I knew it wasn't anything to hold it up. Then here's the "eye opener". The Pharmacist pulls the actual paper and goes "OOOPS, I'll fill it next." No apology but I clearly heard it was their mistake. Poor customer service. My neighbor has had a similar experience over a year ago where they claim to have never received his 2nd prescription although his doctor faxed them together into Walgreen's electronic fax system. Lesson learned - fill 1 prescription initially at a time if you wish to use this location. read more

Although this particular Walgreens is conveniently located in Juanita Village, it's not one of my regular stores to shop at. Prices are higher than you'd expect from an everyday drug store, but it's nice to have an option close by, when you need it. I did an online search and realized that Walgreens offers One Hour Photo printing. I needed a few photos printed by the next day and I didn't have time to make my usual Costco run, so I gave Walgreens a try. The Walgreens website was easy to navigate and I was able to successfully upload the photos I needed to print and have them ready in one hour. I found a few discount codes online that knocked 40% off the final price. During the processing, I received an email that my photos were in progress and another that they were completed and ready. Parking at the Juanita Village was a snap and my photos were ready to be picked up once I arrived. Decent photo quality. Friendly staff and paid at the photo counter. Super convenient. read more

I have been using this branch on 98th in Juanita side it was first built. I have my Medicare prescription program it's them. Their service has been extraordinarily perfect. They email me when a prescription is due for refill and have it ready for pickup right on time. The only time they couldn't refill was the manufacturer did not have any., not their fault. I compliment them all the time as I find them to be very efficient. read more

I was in need of a medication to prevent myself from developing permanent organ damage, having just signed up for new insurance I decided I wanted to inform the pharmacy before I got there to avoid any delay. I called the pharmacy in advance inform them of my insurance change before going to pick up my rx to make my visit go smoothly. When I tried to give the information to the person on the phone they were extremely rude and sighed loudly to express their displeasure with having to enter my information. She interrupted and cut me off to let me know what a burden this was for her to assist me. She felt the need to make quite a few comments about how much quicker it was if she had the card in her hand, when the whole reason I wanted to give the information over the phone was so it wouldn't take me a long time to fill my prescription when I came in because I had limited time to pick it up.( I didn't have an hour to wait all my information was updated and my insurance was contacted and then the prescription was processed.) She begrudgingly took the information and hung up, a few minutes later I missed a phone call from someone trying to tell me that they weren't going to be able to fill the prescription unless I brought in a hard copy when I already had it faxed. So then I had to go and retrieve the hard copy and when I got to the pharmacy I was scolded by yet another staff member for not moving out of the drive-thru quickly enough. At this point I decided to park and go in to pick up the prescription where I witnessed a staff member being curt to another patron, (speaking to her in an abrupt/condescending and dismissive tone avoiding eye contact and trying to shoe her away to get back to whatever else she was doing.) What I experienced and saw was a complete lack of customer service. I understand working in a pharmacy has to be extremely stressful and difficult but taking it out on people who are already (sometimes) not having a very good day if they have to go pick something up from the pharmacy for some sort of ailment our problem. I added a second star for the store itself because it's not their fault that the pharmacy staff is so dejected. read more

We have used Walgreens as our primary pharmacy for over a decade and have watched customer service, wait times, and availability go right off a cliff. I have lost hours of my life over the last year waiting in drive-through lines for an hour or more, waiting on hold with phone calls for help that never comes. Posted hours are rarely accurate, and the drive through will randomly and unexpectedly close. I am very sympathetic to the fact that jobs are difficult to fill right now, but Walgreens needs to make hiring and paying well more pharmacy employees to keep them. they closed 5 min early for they're lunch break, i waited for them to open back up at 1:30, they didn't open till 1:40 as the line behind me grew and grew. they finally opened, i requested to pick up my prescription which i called and filled 4 days in advance. they never filled it. i sat for another 30 mins waiting for them to fill a prescription that should have already been filled. there pharmacy is a joke read more

Absolutely the worst pharmacy around! I've waited in line for over 35 minutes with seven people in front of me, before having to leave. I then called, I had over three people in front of me. After waiting 22 minutes on hold I got disconnected, after making my way to first in line. I called back a little while later, only to hold for 18 minutes and get disconnected. This location has really degraded recently. Drive through closed a lot, long lines for pharmacy every time I go, place looks like a war zone. Doctor called in a refill for me a week ago and nothing from them, they used to send me texts and calls. Two days ago I call in the put in the refill myself and system says it will be ready that day. Two days later it's still not ready. On hold for 30 min trying to just speak with someone. read more

They do an awful job of restocking their items. For example, they've been out of stamps for 7 months. Get it together.

The Juanita Village location isn't horrible and the shelves seem to be stocked fairly well most of the time. I don't like that their liquor selection kind of blows... I couldn't find Frangelico (hazelnut liqueur that tastes AMAZING in hot chocolate), or any true top-shelf vodka (Chopin, Pravda, Belvedere, - Grey Goose sucks. Sorry, not sorry). However, there were enough different types of whiskey and bourbon to make a country boy swoon! It was clear that whomever orders the booze for this location, looooooooves his/her whisky! I also found it strange that, in the middle of winter, they had very few hot cocoa selections! There were more cocoa gift packages (you know, the boxes of cocoa that come with all kinds of crap you don't really want - like shirts, one super ugly cup, and a cross-eyed stuffed animal) than there were boxes of cocoa. I found one box of Swiss Miss, shoved to the back of the bottom shelf! As for your daily needs, this is a convenient location for emergency eggs, sugar, milk, meds, or TP needs. You just might not be able to be choosey about the brand. At least they have Charmin! Somebody somehow screwed up my rewards card and put my mom's name with my phone number... not sure how they managed that one! The fresh-out-of-high-school cashier wasn't going to let me use my own card! Even though I showed him my phone, proving it was my phone number! I had to do a major SMH on that one. Your mistake = my problem? Although nobody has ever gone out of their way to assist me, the cashiers have all been very pleasant; even the young "rewards Nazi" guy... Some are much quicker than others, but they all seem perfectly nice. Points off for lack of liquor/liqueur selection and a primitive and inaccurate rewards membership processing process :) read more

It's my twice-a-week habit that has no bad side affects! Middle of baking brownies, reach in fridge....Outta Eggs. UGH! A quick stop off at Walgreens and brownies are in the oven STAT! Last minute baby shower present+ cute gift bag= easy! Razors, band-aids, Emergen-C, aluminum foil, cotton balls, frosting... done and done. I might be spoiled. Tainted by choices. I can't get too excited about this Walgreen's. It is on the smaller side compared to other Walgreen's I've been to and other choices (Bartell's, Rite-Aid) nearby. Their bread-and-butter is clearly the pharmacy and beauty products, as those two things make up nearly half of the store. Though their selection isn't great, they do have a little bit of everything else. Office supplies, pet stuffs, household needs, greeting cards, small gifts and the like. This seems to effect pricing. Though their sales can be great, on the whole, they are more expensive than other places for other items, but it may not seem like it. Where a larger store or a Target like place has 1w of everything, Walgreen's has 5 of it, so looking for anything specific can be a crap shoot. The pet products we use (bunneh and kitteh) are the dame dollar amount here as they are at Rite-Aid or local grocery stores...BUT they are smaller packages here. They are conveniently located, and one of the only type of stores like this that service this immediate Juanita Village area, so I'll likely continue to drop in now and again, -impulse buys and sale items will keep me around- but if you've got the penny-pincher bug or are savings-saavy - you are mostly better off trying your luck elsewhere read more
