I have been hearing great things about Shell Shack for months now and finally made it in to try this place out! My first trip I came the Saturday before Christmas and sat at the bar. Jamie was my waitress/bartender. She greeted me with a friendly smile and a bubbly personality! 1st impression 10/10! She asked me if this was my 1st visit and after telling her yes she explained a bit of the menu to me, it is very obvious she knows her stuff!!! She then proceeded to get me a sample of the kitchen sink sauce which she said was the most popular and also a sample of the garlic and lemon pepper sauce, which she said was HER favorite. She recommended I give the crab tator tots a try, so I did and they were just as amazing as she described! I also ordered an alcoholic beverage and asked her what she recommended. She asked me did I prefer something more for flavor or more for effect and I told her both. She recommended either an Adios or a liquid marijuana, I went with the liquid marijuana, she did a superb job on the drink!!!!! I ended up ordering the bairdai crab (another of Jamie's recommendations) with the kitchen sink sauce. The food came out hot and delicious! Jamie came around the bar to tie my bib on, what service!!!! The food was AMAZING, but the service Jamie provided was even better and definitely guaranteed a return trip from me! I returned last night 12-27 and my experience was nowhere near the experience I had with Jamie. There were 2 bartenders that I Noticed. It took over 5min for one of them to even acknowledge me. Even a simple "I will be right with you" would have been better then nothing at all. When I was finally acknowledged it was by the Hispanic male bartender. He never told me his name. He didn't recommend anything he asked me if I needed a menu and then returned to get my drink and food order shortly after. I ordered the exact same things as last week minus the crab tots. For some reason my drink was very strong this time, the only good thing aside from the great food this visit. I will still be back but I will definitely make sure Jamie is working! read more

This place was awesome!! Me and My friend came here on a whim and we were not disappointed. First, we were greeted warmly at the door and seated immediately. Jose was our server and he made sure we were taken care of. Once we told him that it was our first time, he took the time to sit with us and explain EVERYTHING!! He talked about the different types of crab they offered, the taste, the texture. He described the seasonings (we did the kitchen sink) and even made drink suggestions. He was a delightful individual with a sparkling personality and he made our experience fun and memorable. AND The food was outstanding! We had the shrimp and Bairdi crab with potatoes and corn, plus we had the fried oysters on the half shell. The seafood was fresh and superbly cooked. We are seafood snobs and this is probably one of the best casual places we've been to. What set our dining experience apart from any other place we have visited, was the customer service. I believe that other restaurants should come and study Shell Shack's customer service model. In the time we were there, not only was our FABULOUS host Jose uber attentive, two managers came by to speak to us and make sure we were having a great time. We were spoiled silly! Came here last night after a workout with my main man. We had an AWESOME experience, at MIDNIGHT!!! Lydia was our waitress and she was everything amazing. When she approached our table, she asked if it was our first time there. We let her know and she took our drink orders, then braced us with a charismatic explanation of the menu. Everything we asked for was brought in a timely fashion and I was actually surprised that Lydia was able to manage myself and the other 4 tables she had with such poise and energy. We ordered two pounds of snow crab, the husband had kitchen sink on his crab and I had naked with Kitchen sink on the side. WHOA!!! Lydia and my husband suggested that I get the sauce on the crab, and while I should have listened, Lydia made it all easy by tossing some fresh Kitchen Sink Sauce (of which I am now ADDICTED!!!) onto the crab at the table. The crawfish were amazing, and the energy in the atmosphere is unmatched. I love Shell Shack, and I will be back to eat with Lydia!!!! read more

If I could give this restaurant 100 stars I would! From the second I walked in, I knew this was going to be my new place. Let me first start by saying the smell of this place when you walk in is mouth watering. I was immediately greeted and taken to my table. My server was cici, and she alone should get 100 stars. She recommended the baridi crab, (which I had never heard of) with kitchen sink (all the flavors) and medium heat. I can't even begin to explain the taste. It was OUTSTANDING. It reminded me of home. (Louisiana) and I didn't stop with the crab, I also got the shrimp and a pound of crawfish. I couldn't stop, despite how full I was!! My husband got the catfish, and it was so fresh and tasty. Our drinks were fantastic and refreshing, and we never had an empty glass. This place is all around amazing. We will be back every single Friday night for our date night. Could not have been more impressed with the service we received at the Arlington location last night!!! I have been in the service industry for almost 10 years and managing for close to 4 now and i wish i could clone her!!! Not only did she have us all of drinks faster than we were even ready for she practically read our minds the rest of the dinner bringing everything we needed before we even knew we needed it. Not one of us had to ask for something the entire dinner which is mind blowing! Haley suggested we get the crawfish kitchen sink and im not going to lie i was pretty sceptical at first but she made it sound way to good to pass up so we took her word for it and i am so glad we did because it was so good i have already planned to come back next weekend for my birthday dinner just so i can have it again! We were there Monday night late. I believe, we paid around 11pm or so. I dont believe, there was major miscommunication. Reason being, it was no longer busy, it had calmed down drastically the manager did not even come to the table. A family member, was passing on his way to the bathroom over hearing part of conversation was, "They ate, they are paying for it." There were 2 orders of 1 lb. Crab legs, lemmon pepper, mild. My husband, cant eat spicy, it was spicy. We just assumed, that was how this place served lemmon pepper mild until, I noticed the other couples order. The taste was completly different. I love this location! Directly up the road from the Cowboys Stadium and easy to get in and out of. Great TV's throughout, service was friendly and the food was outstanding. We started out with a "Chalkboard" item, grilled butterflied shrimp w/ butter and fresh tarter sauce. They were so delicious, I'm considering another trip tonight! After the appetizer, we ordered a couple pounds of crawfish seasoned to perfection, I prefer them Kitchen Sink/Diablo style, but I like everything spicy. It has become a ritual to always stop here when I am in Arlington. With close proximity to Six Flags, Dallas Cowboys Stadium, Texas Rangers Ballpark and it is a must if you are in the area and I am jealous of those that live close by because I would be their every day. Started out with a specialty Moscow mule and it was awesome! Next I had my personal must, a bowl of clam chowder and they more then got it right, my taste buds were dancing. You know I had to do it big after that, so I had the King Crab. It basically melted in my mouth it was so good! The waiter last night was amazing. He was as helpful as he was allowed to be. However, the drinks we ordered were weak and there are no refunds or substitutions for beverages that are mixed. The oysters that were ordered got 'lost' in the kitchen and we waited over an hour for those. The crab that was ordered was much spicier than ordered and when the manager was asked about the issue, he was not willing to fix it nor offer any consolations. I would not recommend this location due to the management. Try another location and hope that the waiter we had now works there, because he is the only reason this rating is not one star. read more

AWESOME FLAVOR!!! Huge portions.... I'm not a big seafood person so I ate a burger and it was HUGE!! She ate snow crab and shrimp in KITCHEN SINK flavor. Also added sausage and potatoes. The Flavor was sooooooooo good!! Seriously, I even ate a piece of mixed in sausage and WOW!! She was loyal to Big Shucks but I think her heart has changed because she Hasen't stopped smiling or saying Mmmmmmmm!! The shell shack mama drink was very good. If you like King Crab, well you will absolutely love it here! Thick white chucks of tender crab meat... I got 2 lbs. I ordered it like I normally would, naked, side of butter and lemons. But I had to try another pound after the first. They offer favors of your choice, from lemon pepper, Cajun, garlic and the most popular kitchen sink. (Combination of all) Then, you get to throw some heat on it. I could not resist but to try it. After all, that is what they are know for! I am happy I did. I recently moved to the Arlington area. I been to a few of the restaurants but Shell Shack has quickly r my favorite and go to.. I like to sit at the bar so I can watch tv. Whenever Jaime is working the bar I receive a warm reception with a smile. The bar is always clean and she gives good fast service. She even remembers what I like to drink without having to ask me. I'm a hush puppy snob. A large percentage of my meal enjoyment depends on whether or not the hush puppies are on point. These are some of the best I've ever had and I'm kind of obsessed with them now! This place is great! We just went for the first time and it's some of the best seafood we've had in Arlington! My first visit to a Shell Shack was amazing! Best crab legs I've had in a while however what really made my visit so awesome was our server Brandon. Aside from being knowledgeable about the food he was not only awesome but he was funny as well. I have been to this location 3 times in one week. I LOVE IT !! Walking through the doors was the best energy, being seated and my server Kylie EXCELLENT ! The food came out in less than 7 minutes. Came for early lunch got great service, food was fresh and hot. Got 2lbs of king crab 1/2 lb of shrimp kitchen sink medium with broccoli in the bag. Our server was right u can taste all of the flavors in it. Mike came by to check on us to make sure we were doing good and refilled my drink for me.
