I'm surprised to be writing such a negative review, but I was even more surprised by how I was treated by one of Shelly's reps named Nelly. I was trying to get more information regarding the "accident forgiveness" feature of my policy but I don't think Nelly understood what I was trying to get at because I wasn't understanding what Nelly was telling me. As I tried to get clarification about what she was explaining, she kept interrupting me and kept telling me she knows what I'm saying. But when I was trying to tell her that I don't think she does, instead of listening to me, she kept interrupting me repeatedly. By trying to tell her I didn't think she understood me and still continuing to try and get clarification, she kept interrupting me and then threatened that she would hang up if "I didn't stop yelling", something that wouldn't be a problem if she didn't keep trying to interrupt me and tried to talk over me. I repeatedly asked her to just let me finish talking and she refused by continuing to interrupt me whenever I tried to speak. I've never been treated this way by an insurance company, or other companies with which I'm a client, by not letting me talk and then to threaten me by hanging up. Well, as she continued to interrupt me and not let me talk, I tried to talk louder to be heard, and then she made good on her promise to hang up on me. I tried to call back just to get an answer to my questions. I wasn't looking to start an argument but silly me, I thought I would get to talk to someone but instead my call just went to voicemail. I tried to call again a few minutes later and my call went to voicemail again. Then I got a text from the insurance company giving me a phone number to file a complaint if I wanted to. All I wanted was an answer to my questions without someone trying to talk over me like I didn't know what I was talking about because I didn't. Even worse, just before Nelly hung up on me, she kept repeating my name like my Mom would when I was a kid. To even be writing this review is pretty ridiculous when all I wanted to do was to explain what "I thought I was hearing" and the outcome would only affect me. Shelly Toguchi and Nelly were not going to have to suffer any of the consequences that would come about from my accident but Nelly was pretty adamant about not letting me explain my side so that I could seek some clarification. I left these messages about an hour ago and no one is even bothering to call me back. This agency is trying to get back at me for something that has nothing to with them by ignoring my requests for assistance. This agency is not looking out for you "after" you need them. They're nicer than hell when they want you to purchase a policy from them. read more

Well my wife's car got stolen I had it parked right outside of our apartment bldg on the road . Called police made a report etc.Must do. 20 days later,that's how long it takes for a claim of total loss or lost vehicle takes .State Farm Ins called me and told me we need the certificate of title which dah was left in car dont leave the title in the car it's humbug to get a duplicate. The agent told me first of all the payout for the vehicle is $3900 I was expecting $1000 or less Honda's hold there resale value I quess by a Honda! So even though car was 17 yrs old I still got some money for it. So for me it was not a total loss go figure. Oyah get a car alarm it will deter auto thieves from stealing your car, this car did not have a car alarm it had a club my friends said that what they do is cut the steering wheel off so the club slides right off. Put an alarm and club on your vehicle. My 1996 Landcruiser has all that stuff and it's still around . To much stuff to hassle with right,hey im kinda of paranoid but if it works use it right.
