I wish I had done it sooner! Had "Shelves That Slide" installed in my older kitchen cabinets. I had noticed their ad for years and decided it was time. Working in my kitchen is so convenient now. Just pull a shelf forward for easy access. Their salesman/installer came to my home & took shelf measurements. He brought along a sample shelf so I could see what I was ordering. A few weeks later he was back with the shelves built to order. Installation was smooth. He was a real pro - it took less than a couple of hours to install my 12 shelves. I've had my Shelves-that-Slide for over a week now, and I love them. I received one other bid, and the differentiating factor was the willingness of the design consultant/installer, Chris Box, to cut the center stile of the cabinet below my cooktop to accommodate wider double-width sliding shelves and to also attach sliding shelves to the false drawer fronts beneath my cooktop. Chis also had an opinion on the heights of the sliding shelves based upon what I was storing. Chris is meticulous, he knows what he's doing, and he did an excellent job. The workmanship is so good, it's very difficult to see the cut in the center stile of my cherry cabinet. I had a total of 10 sliding shelves installed. The company does not provide any installation instructions. The so called instructions provide a brief description of the installation process without providing any details on how to install. This works for someone who has installed drawers previously, but not for beginners. I contacted the company several times requesting adequate instructions, and they refused to provide any. I had to go search the web for instructions on how to install sliding drawers. I was looking for side mounted drawers. I found quiktray pilasters from another company. They provide for an easy installation with adjustable side mounted sliding drawers. read more

An excellent product for the money. We bought a house in June and wanted to add pullout shelving to the base cabinets in the kitchen and master bath - we ended up ordering fifteen pullout shelves in total. Since we live in the Phoenix metroplex, the company included professional installation with our order. The technician arrived promptly on time and measured the cabinets. It took about three weeks to construct the shelves and then the same technician returned to install them. We are very happy with the results. Our shelves cost us about $49 each (installed). It's been over six months now and these shelves are a real back saver - we can easily reach those pots and pans way in the back on the bottom shelves now. These shelves are guaranteed for life - should anything go wrong, all we have to do is make a phone call and they'll send out a technician to make it right. I can't comment as to their mail order business. I know that some people have had problems ordering shelves off the internet - but I believe that this is mainly due to customers incorrectly measuring their cabinets. The website provides detailed information on how to measure a cabinet for pullout shelves - but some people just can't follow instructions no matter what (myself included). I would definitely recommend this company to anyone wanting pullout shelving. read more

After multiple surgeries I was no longer able to comfortably reach to the back of my lower cabinet shelves. We priced new kitchen cabinets and was unable to get the style we really wanted so we decided to keep our existing cabinets and freshen up our kitchen. We shopped around and priced around and while reading Handy Man Magazine my husband found the ad for Shelves That Slide. We called and ordered a brochure and that settled our decision for us. When we called to order our shelves we were impressed by knowledgeable staff and all the pointers we were given on not only measuring but also installation. My husband installed the shelves without any problems. Once the first shelf was installed the others were easy. One piece of our hardware was bent and could not be used. I ordered a bulk order of sliding shelves to install in my new home. They came as promised but I had a problem with my measurements and needed spacers. They were very helpful and sent me two different types of spacers to use which allowed me to finish my installation. Once I got the hang of the the installation, it went very quickly. I researched lot of sliders fast trying to get as good shelves as I had before my renovation, and besides having good reviews this one warranted the wider shelves I depended on for years. So I had a great experience with Jeff calling and coming out on time to measure during a busy time where I needed someone to do what they said, and he did! I appreciated the detail he pointed out and it helped that I could see actual example shelves he brought that backed up the words and reviews. Yep, that can handle the extra width. No guessing and I am so glad I didn't go home depot. And its such a good price for the finished product that is worth more than the sticks it takes to build it. Definitely not junk. Seeing the actual finished sealed plywood material and how it was jointed together reassured me the quality was worth a little wait to have custom built. He underpromised and overdelivered today as far as that two weeks time I could expect and decide worth it would take, which is awesome and refreshing! You sure made our Monday, Jeff! I was doing a small kitchen update and decided to get an estimate on sliding shelves. Rollie came out to give an estimate & show me a sample of the product and I was very pleased with both the price and the quality. Chris did the installation for 10 pull-out shelves on the lower cabinets, and he was finished in 30 minutes flat. The kitchen is so much better organized, and with everything rearranged (no more stacking things on top of other things), I now have two empty shelves for extras.
