I think Shenanigans certainly has its place in Lake Harmony and I'm thankful for it. I went to shenanigans on Friday night with my boyfriend. I was in the mood for wings and beer and I figured shenanigans had it. So to be clear, Shenanigans has karaoke on Friday nights. I knew there may have been karaoke, but I didn't know it was in the middle of the bar for everyone to hear. But for me that was completely fine, welcoming actually. So upon entering there was a super loud, obnoxious guy singing Man In the box by Alice In Chains from then on it was a fun night! Shenanigans has a great atmosphere! Lots of young people, not a lot of families on Friday night. If you're looking for a quiet place for the family I don't recommend coming on Friday nights. My server was great. The wings I ordered are actually some of the best wings I have had in the Poconos. They fry it perfectly and they're a great size. I was impressed. I hate giving poor reviews but last night was pretty terrible. Party of 3 walked in, two staff members looked up and glanced at us and didn't even acknowledge our presence. Finally the host (young male) came over and sat us (he was super nice). Once seated, LITERALLY NOBODY ACKNOWLEDGED OUR TABLE ! The table literally next to us was seated 10 minutes after us and the orders were taken right away. Half an hour of waiting (not even having water given to us), I asked the host if someone was available to take our order. He looked really shocked that nobody had, and said he would get someone right away. 15 more minutes passed and still nobody. We asked a random waitress if anyone was available to take the order or at least bring water and she also looked shocked that nobody had yet. She said she would get someone right away. I overheard her asking who was able to serve our table and someone saying "What !? They've been here for an hour ! Why wasn't that taken care of?" (Whoever that was, thank you because you are correct and it was just over an hour). Finally a waitress came and took the entire order because at that point it just made sense to bring all the drinks, appetizers, and food at the same time. She was super nice and apologetic. Everyone kept making the same excuse that they were backed up and super busy which is fine and understandable but the fact that THREE tables that had arrived way after us were served and even left before our order was even taken, made that just seem like an excuse. The food all came at once. The wings were honestly really good but the shenanigans pot roast was inedible due to the salt level, and I mean so salty it stung around the lips and tongue. The green beans that came on the plate were COMPLETELY under-seasoned which ended up being fantastic because I just used the salt bomb of a sauce on the roast as seasoning for the green beans. The instant mashed potatoes were ok for being instant potatoes which was surprising (also leaning on the salty side). Overall, 1 Star for the wings and 1 Star for how nice the waitress was. Got bloody Mary's and a jack and coke and a mimosa. We were definitely concerned about whether or not the bartender forgot to put alcohol in it. The food was what got the extra star to two instead of one. The French onion soup was fine, you can't mess that up. The potato skins were burnt cheese on a cut potato? The wings were good, though. The music and karaoke was so loud that i couldn't even hear what my friends we're trying to say to me from across the table. We had to use texting to communicate. A young women came out from the back claiming to be the manager. Was not very professional, didn't bring out a new cheesesteak when she went to get the mozzarella sticks. Or offer a discount. When the mozzarella sticks did come out they were cold. Now the ppl running the karaoke,,, what a joke that was. I never in my life seen people get worked up over customers touching a microphone.... and they have a sign stating NOT TO TOUCH THE MIC. Went here at 6:30pm and the sat 9 of us and were sort of busy. We had to wait 15-20 minutes for a waiter to come over and take our drink orders. The waiter came back 20 minutes later with half the orders, then 5 more minutes for the 2nd half. We ordered our food. Three of us ordered burgers done medium, one wrap, 2 sandwiches and 3 appetizers for entrees. We had not seen our server after they dropped the drinks. We waited over 30 minutes for our 1st food drop, then 5 minutes later came the 2nd and one person the serve clearly forgot to put in their order so we all waited 15 more minutes for her to get her food. I ask you, why ask us how we want our burgers if two came extra well done and one rare and the server never came back to see how our food was. After 20 more minutes another server came by to take some of our plates and the rest were still in front of us as the 1st waiter dropped the check and never took any plates with them. The bartender was so rude I couldn't believe it. She made nasty comments to us, spoke slowly and mockingly like we were stupid, and snapped at us if we said excuse me to get her attention. We were there as a bachelorette party, and she made the bride feel so upset and unwelcome it really ruined the night. She made some mean comment every single time we ordered drinks. We tried to order as a group so she wouldn't have to come back to us often, but it's pretty normal people make a few drink orders throughout the night at a bar.
