    Marble cupcake

I wish I loved my visit to this bakery more. It was all a bit chaotic. Stopped in around 2 o'clock and I was looking for their German chocolate cupcakes but they were all out. I settled for a marble cupcake, peanut butter cupcake and a slice of vanilla raspberry cake. I also got a small container of syrup and jam. The workers were a bit flustered but I tried to assure them I could get something else if they couldn't figure out pricing. Took a bit longer than expected but it was fine. The baked goods could've been better. The peanut butter cupcake was the best out of all three. The marble was a bit stale and the vanilla cake was all frosting and way too overly sweet. I also tried their heath and harvest cookies. Both of those were excellent - I can definitely recommend their cookies. Overall it's a good little bakery just make sure the goods you get are fresh.

Nice place to sit outside and watch the world go by. We went on Sunday after the farmer's market. It was a perfect day for a coffee and pastry. We split a coffee which was good. The pastries were very good. I had a coffeecake muffin and my husband an apple filled doughnut. Service was quick and efficient. We will go again, next time we are up at the market.

This was the only thing open for breakfast on the Wednesday morning we were in town. They have a lovely drink selection of teas, coffees, juice, & soda. The Peppermint Mocha was wonderful. There were all sorts of baked goods to choose from. Cakes, cookies, donuts, croissant (both sweet & savory). The young lady working there was welcoming, kind, energetic, & great at her job. There was seating outside but we chose to sit inside due to the weather. Inside is warm & inviting both physically & mentally. They have local honey & jams for sale, clean tables to sit at, & a community bulletin board greets you as you walk in. The bathrooms were on the smaller side but clean & nice. Given that it was used as a Civil War hospital at one point, the building has a lot of history & they have converted it to its current purpose nicely. We'll be back next time we're in town.

Awesome bakery! Came here while exploring Shepherdstown with M and D. So glad they introduced us to this bakery. We love the variety of baked goods and reasonable prices. They create edible works of art using quality ingredients. We left with a big box of baked goods and the total came to about $14. Not bad at all! Employees are so friendly and helpful. I told them it was my first time here and they were happy to suggest a few things. Our box of goodies was neatly wrapped. They were patient and kind. Restrooms are in the back. There is plenty of seating inside. Very relaxed vibe, love it.

We stopped in while on vacation in West Virginia. The location is nice and cozy. The employees were very nice and I loved that you could bring your dog there. The sizes were really nice and the prices even nicer. We got a chocolate raspberry cupcake, two brownies, a cannoli, and a whoopie pie. Everyone loved their treats.

Mocha jumbo cupcake. Just tasted like a dry chocolate cake. Icing didn't have much flavor except for straight up sugar.

This place is okay, but they could definitely do some things to improve. I think their prices are fair, and service is fine, but the cupcakes we got were overly sweet and a bit dry. The bathroom was also a bit dirty. In general the space could use a bit of an update, as it's dark and not the most inviting. However, the location is conveniently placed in historic Shepherdstown; and its family friendly.

Wow, I wish there was a bakery like this in every town. OK, at least in my town. There were all kinds of fun choices for a treat. I wanted one of everything. But I settled on an Apricot Almond torte, a cookie sized one. It was fabulous and I had it with a carton of ice cold milk. What a great pick me up, I was super glad we hadn't partaken of dessert where we ate lunch. If you are in town, you HAVE to stop here. Yes, I think it is a law or something. I wish I was there now.

It was small but cute. You could hardly move in there at times when it was crowded. Quaint bakery.

We were able to decide what to order before we made it to the counter. This is a popular place. What looked like a long line moved quickly. The cashier was friendly and knowledgeable. We ordered a few breakfast sandwiches and a few beverages! Our directions were to stand aside for our beverages and then we could wait elsewhere, even outside on the patio for our food order. We were given a pager. The logistics of their system worked quite smoothly. Our chai tea latte and iced vanilla latte with cinnamon were on point! And our breakfast sandwiches (egg and cheese on sourdough & ham, egg, and cheese on a croissant) were freshly prepared and delicious! Yum! The menu is diverse and there's a dog-friendly patio where tables have umbrellas. This is a special place and you should definitely stop by when in Harper's Ferry.

The coffee is excellent, and they even serve ice cream. The vibe is lively, with free Wi-Fi, a small gift shop, and a patio with sturdy seating and great views. No knock on other spots, but I happily walk past ALL of them to come here. Highly recommend!

Whats more sad is that I paid $15 for something that isn't at all as advertised. I ordered the Chicken Souvlaki Greek Salad as I love grilled meat. Never have I had souvlaki in over a dozen voyages to Greece that was wet boiled or microwaved, as this chicken seemed to be. Souvlaki are grilled skewers. This place should NOT sell the pile of bland, blond, wet chicken breast as "souvlaki." The "Greek" salad was sad. No other way to describe it. It had the ingredients of a Greek salad (lettuce, tomato, cucumber) but the feta was meager and there were no onions. The tzatziki was more akin to ranch dressing (not made with yogurt- real Greek yogurt would hold a spoon standing in it. This was almost liquid.) ) and the pita was a doughy, cheap substitute. Their listing says fresh bread, and this pita was not so much. The owner seems nice and personable, and I wish him well but I also wish he would pay more attention to the product he delivers, especially if they call it, Greek. UPDATE from owners rebuttal: I write fair reviews as I experience the food. The issue is not whether you have fresh ingredients or quality chicken: it is clearly stated what you served was just not souvlaki in anyway, it was wet sautéed chicken and that was not traditional tzatziki. It was tzatziki-like sauce. Period. If you go to a pizza place to buy a pizza and you get high quality toasted bread with excellent tomato sauce and good mozzarella- it's still not a pizza, no matter the quality, and you shouldn't call it a pizza. I don't deny you are Greek, proud or otherwise, just serve what you advertise. Good luck to you too!
