It's always risky trying a new place but the food here, at least when I went was super good. It even had my mom going for a third plate! It was quiet but overall I really enjoyed it. I had 3 people including me eat, got a Snapple, water, and sprite in total of 7 plates and the final damage was $38 which super good since I don't have that kind of luxury for 27.99 per person type buffets!

I wanted to stop by for an easy pick-up meal and I have to say that my plate was less than average. I really wanted to like it but the flavoring just wasn't there. If anything, the fried rice was the best part. The vegetable and meat ratio for the broccoli and beef was off, however, the overall portion sizes and pricing were pretty good. I'll stick to my usual next time.

Sherman's Chinese food. My first review in a while. Let's see if yer Boi VD, can still do this. For a while everything was closed up due to the Covid 19 stuff going on. My kids wanted some Chinese food and almost everywhere I looked was closed. Luckily I was at this Mexican meat market next door. I saw this guy cleaning the place out and told us to come back tomorrow and we did. At the time there was a special going on. Not sure if it's still happening now. But over the summer it was. You buy 3 combo plates and the 4th one is free. That's an awesome deal because I have three kids, it was win win for yours truly. You have to wear masks to enter and only two people can come in at a time. That's food especially with the Coronavirus still at large. You can't dine in and it's take out only. The service was Great and people were following the rules. That's good too, since it seems like nobody follows the rules in California, lol. The portions here are always packed well and the to-go containers keep the food hot. So by the time I came home with the food everyone was grubbing on hot food and not cold and soggy food. That's one of the reasons, I rarely do take out. When my kids come back home from college from out of state. Sherman's is the one place they always want first. They do really like the food here and the other three locations they have in Stockton. If you're ever in the Area you should give Sherman's a try. We'll see y'all soon :) Sincerely VD "Life is beautiful" "Enjoying the simple things in life" "My three kids are my world and everything in life is a bonus"

I don't review often and so a 1 star is likely to be considered unreliable to help and business owners but I think the pics that I have are enough evidence to justify the rating. Sherman's #3 is average as far as Chinese food goes. Imagine a slightly better Panda Express. That's Sherman's #3. Inside, it's basic. You have simple tables and chairs. Nothing to write home about and that's OK. You don't go out to Chinese for the extravagant ambiance. All this was fine with me until I took some home and found what looked like a small roach in my sweet and sour pork (iirc). I wanna be nice and say the staff there is nice and give them at least 2 stars but I can't give any place that's a hazard to the public any more than 1 star.

Super hard sweet/sour pork. It's so overcooked that you can't even see the meat. It's just a dark, hard, fried clunk w/ a little sweetness.

After reading all the good reviews about the Waterloo & Country Club locations, I decided to give this place a try since it was closer to home & boy do I deeply regret it. The sweet & sour pork was the worst I've ever had in my life. It was over-fried, so you couldn't even taste or feel the texture of the pork inside (everything crunched). Not only that, but a lot of the pieces were just fried batter (no meat inside) & not even covered in sauce. Our brocolli & beef came with 4 tiny pieces of beef (no exaggeration). My pepper shrimp literally didn't have one spec of pepper nor any peppery taste. My husband wanted the traditional roasted red pork & they asked "chicken?" so he said, "No, pork." I guess they don't make it w/ pork because they gave him their overcooked propane flavored red chicken anyway. They give you a lot of their bland rice I guess to make up for how skimpy they are on the entrees. Overall, this was the worst chinese food I've ever had, so I definitely won't be back, but will give the other locations a try.

It's a Chinese buffet. You can eat cheaper than you can at McDonald's! Check out the photos of the food and the menu. If you've seen one Shermans, you've seen them all. And that's a good thing. Consistency! Basically the same layout, the same food offerings, the same prices and good cooks at each location! Sherman #3 just opened yesterday. Fresh, new, clean! Good food and great prices. They do a brisk takeout business and really load up the containers. Most likely you'll have enough for two meals! Shermans has Stockton covered with their three locations. The original restaurant on Waterloo Rd in the Harbor Freight shopping center, the second location on Country Club Blvd in the Safeway shopping center and the newest one on N. Thornton Rd. in the Hacienda Plaza Center! What's not to like?

Comes with 2 pieces of chicken, but I ate 1 haha

One thing I know feeding this crew is a buffet works out well, cause everybody gets what they like. I located Beijing Buffet on the GPS and off the 5 freeway we go. It's not exactly right off the freeway, so you gotta travel a little ways. It's inside the Stonecreek Village Shopping Center. Plenty of parking. We got seated just fine. Service is typical Chinese buffet, they clear the dishes and fill the drinks but not much else. The price for lunch is around $20 per person including tax and a little tip. The place is a decent size and they're plenty of food to choose from. They have a Mongolian Grill option as well as lots of sushi to pick from. Lots of standard Chinese dishes and some not so standard that I had no idea what it was. Plenty of decent food for my crew to pick from. We all got our fill and I got my fave chicken wings and ribs, so I'm happy too. I don't know if I'd return unless I was right in the neighborhood for some reason, it's a bit far off the freeway. Now we gotta get back to the 5 and keep heading south.

There…read morearen't a lot of great Chinese buffet options in the area, so I came in with reasonable expectations, and this place exceeded them. Before I get into the review, I think it's only fair to mention that I rate buffets differently than traditional restaurants. My expectations are based on other buffets, where freshness, consistency, food rotation, and value matter just as much as presentation. This feels more like a small, family-owned neighborhood buffet than a large commercial chain, and I actually think that's part of its charm. The buffet isn't huge, but I'd rather have a smaller selection that's done well than a massive buffet where half the food has been sitting under heat lamps for hours. I sampled most of the buffet, and overall I was impressed. My favorite dishes were the beef chow fun noodles, chow mein, honey pork, fried rice, teriyaki chicken, and the spicy chicken wings. The wings were especially good, they were nice and meaty with a great flavor and weren't loaded with fat like buffet wings sometimes are. Other solid choices were the sweet and sour pork, broccoli beef, and fried green beans. The only items that didn't really stand out to me were the vegetable egg rolls and crab rangoons. They weren't bad by any means, just average compared to the rest of the buffet. One thing that really stood out was how well the buffet was maintained. A staff member was constantly cleaning, rotating trays, and refilling food, so everything stayed warm and fresh throughout my visit. I never came across anything that was cold or looked like it had been sitting for a long time. The soda station was clean, drinks were self-serve, and the staff was friendly whenever I interacted with them. Most of the customers seemed to be ordering takeout rather than dining in, and after seeing the portions, I completely understand why. The takeout containers were packed so full they were almost difficult to close. For the price, the value here is outstanding. The only reason I'm not giving this place five stars comes down to presentation. The dining room itself is clean, but it's very simple. From the drink station you can see directly into part of the kitchen, and the plumbing underneath the soda and ice machine is exposed, which makes the restaurant feel less polished. I didn't see anything that made me question the cleanliness or food safety; it was more of an aesthetic issue than a sanitation concern, but it does affect the overall atmosphere. That said, when I judge this place as a buffet rather than comparing it to a full-service restaurant, the food quality, freshness, service, and value easily outweigh those cosmetic issues. Would I come back? Absolutely. If you're looking for an affordable Chinese buffet with consistently fresh food, friendly staff, generous portions, and flavors that honestly surprised me, M Kitchen Buffet is definitely worth checking out.

The car show happened to take place in the same parking lot as K-Town, so we just decided to have dinner here instead of sitting in the drive-thru line at In-N-Out. The inside is modernly lit with lots of wood motif and black. Oversized lightbulbs filled with faux flower petals hang from the ceiling. A random cartoon plays on the wall TV. For a weekday dinner bbq, we paid about $37 per person with no additional hot pot add-on. We got a good spread of drinks (they have boba!), but they are also an additional cost. The AYCE includes access to the buffet area, which has sushi (sashimi!), buffalo wings, seafood boil, a bunch of fried/breaded offerings, and all the sauces/accoutrements for both hotpot and kbbq. I was impressed by the short rib marinade here. The beef was meaty with a good texture. Some of the cubed meats were a little tough but could be due to the way we cooked it. The pork belly was sliced too thin for my liking (too bacony). We got the cheese sticks from the buffet and reheated them over the grill and made our own version of a Chili's Triple Dipper. Service was fine. We placed our orders with a guy and he would come around occasionally for a grill change and taking away plates. Between the two KBBQ AYCE I've been to in Stockton recently, I think K-Town wins. Overall, I came out stuffed and would definitely return.

I'm normally fairly wary of buffets due to their association with watery, reheated and kept warm, questionable food with a focus on quantity over quality. That is NOT the case with this Golden Corral. The highlights: - incredible, high-end tasting sirloin steaks, grilled fresh and to order right in front of you. Not sitting in a warmer or in a pile getting wet! They're extremely, unbelievably tender and juicy. My gf said she liked it better than Texas Roadhouse, which costs the same amount or more, and it's not even AYCE! - the best dessert station in the buffet game. There's real soft serve ice cream (not that icy garbage at most buffets), real HOT fudge (not cold chocolate syrup), fresh cakes, and bread pudding - the real star for me: an ICEE machine! You can have as many Icees as you want! This is also the highest quality icee machine I've ever seen. The drinks literally never melt and separate, you can drink them all the way down without the classic slushee issue of the syrup separating from the ice - fantastic sides and appetizers. Above standard buffet pizza, good onion rings and fries, surprisingly good fried shrimp, an enormous and fully stocked salad bar, and really delicious rolls and biscuits. Don't fill up on this stuff though, save room for the steak! - friendly and attentive staff working their butts off to get everyone then food and service they needed, which was honestly surprising. Never a long wait for the steaks, and all the food was constantly being restocked and made fresh. - a cozy, recently remodeled, quiet venue. Not the chaotic hustle and bustle of a normal buffet, this place accommodated quiet, intimate conversations. There's even a fireplace to sit by! Everyone is so locked in on the delicious steak that there's no screaming and yelling from bored and restless children, just quiet, peaceful decadence. The place looks beautiful too, on the outside and on the inside. All for under $60 for two people! Great, great deal and a wonderful location. We will be back soon.
