Some are misses (the hummus) but most of it are hits! Today, I had a crispy chicken quesadilla. HUGE portion with all the fixins and it was yummy. My friend had the kani salad and the Caribbean roll. Prices are super reasonable. And our server, Blaise, was great. One thing I don't like is the dark interior. Noontime lunch feels like you're eating at 9p.m. at night. Can't wait for the warmer weather because I quite like eating on their deck.

We ordered some pickle fries. The sign advertised $6 but rang up as $7. When I questioned the cashier about this she said "oh yeah that's wrong I haven't had a chance to fix it yet." It was a chalkboard sign, not a printed menu. I noted it was also wrong on the food truck where we went to pick up our food. While I can sympathize that perhaps they put out the sign from a previous event not realizing the price had raised until they were slammed with the crowds, this really should have been fixed with more priority. In the end I paid because it was just a dollar. The portion size was very generous so I did still wind up feeling like I got my money's worth -- and anyway I felt like the prices were reasonable. Our food was ready very fast, within a couple of minutes -- great system in place. The pickle fries were some of the best I've had. The batter was well seasoned with a blend of spices in the batter. The fries themselves were very crisp and crunchy, fried in very hot oil so they crisped up instantly and were not greasy at all. The pickles weren't mushy and had a nice tang. The dish was drizzled in some kind of spicy crema. These were amazing and I would 100% get them again.

The biscuits comes with 4 different spreads (fig jam, peach butter, strawberry butter, and a brown sugar butter). The biscuits were a good size, and my favorite spread was the fig jam. I wish I could have put some in a jar. The mimosa flight flavors are so fun. I was not a fan of the soursop but the lychee and passionfruit are really good. For the main dish, we tried the chicken & waffle and the tres leches French toast. The chicken was seasoned perfectly and was crispy. The French toast was actually on a croissant. The waitress was super nice about it and had it remade right away. The short rib was tender and really flavorful, and the salad and homemade chips on the side were great. The rest of the table got omelettes and enjoyed them too. Would definitely come back to try more of the menu.
