I was looking for something quick to eat and ended up at this bar and grill. When I arrived I parked in their private lot. I walked in and sat at the bar. Jessica was my bartender and she was nice. I ordered a Long Island iced tea and it was ok. For my meal, I got shrimp scampi. When it came out it looked good but when I dug in, it was very bland. I had to add a lot of salt to the meal. So glad we found this gem! It was a roadside bar and grill. I had an appetizer of fried oysters. They were hot and not over cooked. So many!! I couldn't finish them all. Only found this place taking a different route to errands then usual and what a hidden gem. Waitress was phenomenal as was every item we ordered. We got the daily special coconut shrimp which was devoured so quickly I only got a photo of one - the spicy mango habanero sauce was excellent. We shared the pound of crawfish app which was a ton of food and loved by all including the kids. The boneless hot garlic wings are made using a cornmeal batter and were excellent. The spinach dip chicken flatbread is loaded with food; crust was over cooked but the rest wasn't and honestly we still really enjoyed the overall flavor. We would rate this place 5 stars because the food comes out VERY fast, the food was absolutely DELICIOUS especially the chicken fingers and fries (my fave), the outside which has a little igloo place is very pretty with flowers and fairy lights and you can be as loud as you want because it's private! The inside is more of a bar but the outside you can totally bring your kids! The igloo place has a heater so you can stay warm if it's cold outside like it is now! We had been to Cinder a couple of times before, for the chili cook-off and to get takeout. We thought the food was pretty good and the place had interesting events. But they must be very short-staffed or something now, because we didn't have a very good experience on Mother's Day. The shrimp cocktail and cocktail sauce were still partially frozen. Nine of the mussels were still closed when they were served to us, and when we alerted the waiter to it, he said he would have the kitchen take them back and open them for us. We explained that you can't eat unopened mussels because they are bad, and he was confused. He said he didn't know anything about mussels. He went and told the cook, who said that the mussels were pre-cooked, which was meant to be an excuse for the closed mussels, but was just kind of disappointing. My husband's steak, while tasty and well cooked, was swimming in oil or something. My mom had the same dish, but hers didn't have all that liquid. Worst of all, the spinach dip had a giant metal staple in it, which my husband bit into. The mussels that were open were actually very good, the garlic knots were very good, the steaks were all very good, and my pasta dish was very good. Discriminatory bunch of people. I have never seen any staff treat anyone like this before. Based off a physical deformity of a friend of ours they refused to serve her. They said because she walks "with a limp and cannot walk straight" they cannot tell if she's intoxicated or not. We ordered food and our order was not correct on top of it. Due to an allergy I could not eat it and they would not remake it. In the end I spent 30 some dollars for one drink and for them to make my friend cry in the parking lot.
