I have been coming here for years and absolutely love the staff, unique items in the store, speediness of service and small town hospitality. The only thing negative I would have to say is that they should not have large dogs (service animals or not) roaming around freely. This place is so unprofessional specifically Molly she kept rushing me off the phone and did not care to hear the urgency of filling my husband's medication (they have been filling this specific medication for years) instead she went on to say I'm the only one here and I'm busy!! When I called back later to see if PA went through and prescription is ready but huge surprise I was informed that they are no longer going to fill the prescription because I was rude and condescending to her! Wow this was a joke and they have zero compassion to my husband needing his medication. The most concerning part is it's a holiday week and now my husband has to wait a whole week with his medication because the Drs office is not open to transfer it to another pharmacy because Sherman's refused to transfer nor fill it! Poor customer service and no regards to my husband needing his medication! I had an appointment with Mindy today to discuss women's health. Not only did she listen attentively, she was empathetic and compassionate. Kiki is so sweet and friendly i just love her and definitely think she is a awesome person at work and out. We talk when I'm there and I appreciate the personal interaction while I'm waiting I do believe Ariel has completely changed my mind regarding this industry - she's been helpful and sweet she has been able to help in ways I can't even explain . Single handedly the best pharmacy around. There are usually 2 pharmacists on shift (I think I've seen 3 before), MANY techs on shift (big chain pharmacies seem to have only 2). If you drop your Rx off, they can have it often ready in less than 15 minutes while other places take HOURS (I've had mine filled in less than 10 minutes)! Even during lunch break there's always a pharmacist there while places like CVS and Walmart seem to rarely have 1 on duty and will not dispense medication to the customer because there has to be a pharmacist present). Oh, and if you go on Thursdays their 2 friendly mascot dogs greet the customers. read more

First, if you are expecting a huge department store that just happens to have a pharmacy, head down the street to CVS. And, by the way, there's a reason CVS has 2 or less stars... But, if you want a pharmacy that fills your medicine, gets you in and out, and provides personal service, go here. It's local, family owned, and it's basically a pharmacy. That's it. No cards, no games, no beach balls. They will send you email or text when your medicine is ready. Always friendly. I live out of town and often have to manage the care of my father remotely. I am dependent on a capable and competent Pharmacy who will help manage my father's medications and get them delivered to the home where he resides. A&O was really good but when they went out of business they suddenly, without warning, transferred everything to CVS. What a nightmare (on hold for 40 minutes to sort out an issue is not optimal). I absolutely love this neighborhood pharmacy! Who knew you could love a pharmacy?! Well after going to CVS for years I found that there really is something better! MUCH BETTER! I honestly can't believe I went to CVS all those years. Courteous staff who are knowledgeable and care about you, your time, insurance, and health. Fast prescription fills. Affordable drugs. I had to get a couple orders and pay without insurance due to the ins companies error and was shocked at how affordable they were. Horrible pharmacy!!!! I use to be a fan but after several times of not refilling the correct medication for my son I've had it! I don't understand how both his pediatrician and specialist see his medicine is updated and has refills but the pharmacy don't see that!!! So frustrating not able to pick up breathing medication. Loved this pharmacy at first. Called wensday for a medication refill for my baby and was told insurance wouldnt cover until saturday so I could pick up then if i didnt want to pay out of pocket, which is fine because i had enough until then. I go in on saturday and was told "sorry the girl who compounds medication was off friday so its not ready" like what???? On monday i get a message from LAura, saying they are making the medication but I was supposed to call 48 hours in advance, so they are making an exception. Ok I guess i must be confused because wensday morning is when I called in the refill! Then I find this lovely letter in my pescription bag. Apparently Im not the only one upset because there was also an upset lady there because her medication wasnt made either! Its been twice that my Heart Baby goes without meds because people who work here dont do their job. Very bad pharmacy that doesnt care about patients who depend on medication. So a pharmacy is just a pharmacy .. This I know, but Shermans is different. They take the time to actually get to know you by name ... you don't believe me right.... After my 3rd visit they remembered my name & started getting my perscriptions before I was up in line. Their wait time to fill a prescription is the fastest I have ever seen... They'll say 15 min, but after 5-10 min you'll get a text saying its done, so don't go far it'll be quick! read more

I was thrilled when they changed location. Jeff and Mindy have always been friendly & helpful. Ecstatic to learn my insurance plan 'allows' my choice of pharmacy. CVS is a nightmare, unprofessional, unsmiling, and one pharmacist is the absolute worst, arrogant, patronizing person I have had the displeasure to deal. CVS Pharmacies everywhere are similar. All the information on th ratings are true. Even those who had a less than pleasant experience. It happens. People have 'bad' days. However, unprofessionalism & rudeness to any customer is unacceptable. This may be a friendly, neighborhood, family-owned pharmacy, yet it is a BUSINESS. Every business, including owners, need to be trained in how to deal with the public. They have the right to decline your business just as you have the right to expect the best service, treated with respect, or take your business elsewhere. Statiscally, one dissatisfied customer will tell ten people. Businesses lose potential customers every day, unaware. It is beyond comprehension why owners want to continue to employ people about whom customers complain, or they see & hear them in action, mistreating customers. Actually, there is way too much of that conduct becoming the 'norm'. I have a pharmacy, a doctor's office, a phone company and a credit card only bank, I dread. I now tell the pharmacist, "I'll wait for the other one, thank you. You & I do not work well together." The receptionist at doctor's office, I say basically the same or " I'm waiting for Sue". The others, "Hi! What's your name? Spell, please. Your employee number? Thanks. My name is ABC. I am very upset & angry. Do you care to help me or would you prefer to escalate my call?" If they pleasantly help and resolve my issue, I always thank them. Then I ask if there is a survey I can complete, or may I write to your supervisor about your stellar assistance? The bank? Your name, please spell, employee #? I do not like your bank and I am upset. Do you feel you probably may help & resolve this issue, or need you place your supervisor on my call? Plus, I want to be off this call within 30mins or less. And by the way, you have my permission to record our conversation. It has always been my experience that it lights a fire! They thank me for being honest, a number of them I can get to joke or laugh. Sherman's really is nice, clean, friendly, happy & relaxed, address by name, and I will not be surprised if they have to move to a larger location and better parking. And, people, use your cell phone and record or video your unpleasant visit. You Tube? And write a letter to owners about their rude employees. I gave a 4 star rating, having reduced from 5, when I read about Mindy stepping in with Jeff. So many other ways that could have been professionally handled. That was inexcusable even if you were being difficult. I'm so sorry you had to experience that. Be a good, compromising, happy customer. Life is too short! read more

I've been here a couple of times now and have yet to have a bad experience. I used to go to CVS for Rx's when I used to live in the area, but since I'm just in town temporarily after living away for the last ten years, their quality of customer service has definetly tanked. Seeing how Sherman's is literally right next door to Doctors on Duty, it's a huge no brainer not to try them out. I'm SO glad I did! I've waited no more than five minutes each time I've had to come in for something, so that says a lot considering most places take anywhere from 20-40 minutes. I lived in Europe for four years and Shermans is almost a carbon copy of how they have their pharmacys set up, which is excellent! If you're debating on having an Rx filled here, just do it. So I have been here a few time and must say that we were very pleased to find an "old fashioned" type of service, however, it is what a business does when something goes wrong that defines whether or not they truly have "service". My medical plan picks up the first $1500 fully, and after that I pay. We needed medicine and didn't know the cost of it until a month after when we received our bill. In just a month they had gone through almost $1,000 of our $1,500 for just 3 medications! When I stopped in to ask them about this, his response was, "Don't worry about this, because your insurance picks up the full cost." I responded with 2 questions, "Is there a general form of the medicines" (answer yes) and then "why weren't we informed because we assumed we would have been given the generic" to which he responded "your insurance covered it all so I didn't think it mattered". The problem here is that you assumed my insurance would pay so you wanted to make more money on the full price drugs. Once I explained my plan I was told that he was sorry, but "How am I supposed to know how all the insurance plans work?" I agree, but your job is to either find out or ask questions to the customer to make sure they are getting what they need. He was unwilling to contact the medicine company to try and see if something could be done, or to do anything himself. It wasn't until I told him that I would share my experience in detail to many people that he decided to do something about it...at which point his wife had the nerve to come over and call me a bully and tell me off. Since when is "sharing my bad experience" being a bully? And why is it that a customer has to get upset and start to make those sorts of statements before you are actually going to do something to help us out? Why couldn't you have just done the right thing and stated that you would try do something in the first place? The atmosphere is very friendly, however, when it comes down to actually wanting to help the customers, I don't believe that they care much about the customers. I think it's one of those places that as long as things are going well, they are great to go to...but once something goes wrong or they don't do what they should, they are not willing to do anything to help you out. THAT, in my opinion, is what really makes a business a good business. That is why I gave them a 1 star, because I don't believe that they have the customer's best interest in mind. If they did, the response wouldn't have been, "Don't worry, your insurance covers everything". Try not to make money by taking advantage of your unsuspecting customers please. read more

I only recently started coming to Shermans due to a recommendation by my mother who is a long time customer of theirs. I had a small hiccup in the beginning that was frustrating not only for me, but for the pharmacy staff and my doctors office. Despite this issue, the owner went ABOVE and beyond to ensure the issue was resolved to my satisfaction, which most places will not do. Now when I go in I hear a chorus of "HEY KAYLA" from almost every employee. I only feel terrible that I haven't memorized all of their names because they are all so darn nice!!!!! I barely open the door and they are pulling my meds off the rack because they all recognize me. It's not cold and corporate feeling like other pharmacies. They are smaller so sometimes if it is a rare medication you will have to wait a day but the customer service that comes a long with it makes the wait worthwhile.
