She called Petco, and got a same-day appointment to have the dog washed and clipped. When we walked in, no one was at the check-in, so we waited a few minutes, then found someone to page them. A young lady came out, and was friendly both to us and to the dog. She took the dog back with hugs and kisses, and let us know that she would call when the dog was ready. We were able to get my friend home, run errands, and get back to pick up a well-groomed doggie when we got the call. Thanks, Petco!

Tonight I arrived 11 minutes before closing (knowing exactly what I needed to get in and get out) and the doors were already locked. I even tried to call because I had driven over an hour to get here. While I stood outside calling, FOUR families tried to walk in, so clearly I'm not the only person encountering this as a genuine problem. Such a frustrating issue for a store that is otherwise nice. :(

I'd advise taking care with fish- they use RO water, so drip acclimation will be necessary if you're on KC tap water. The Pygmy's cories I got from them were healthy, but they needed a slow acclimation to be put into my quarantine. They're now in the display. They're knowledgeable about their fish and plants (I'd assume salt water as well, but I don't have a saltwater tank, so I can't say one way or the other). The plants I've purchased from them have been great, except for one buce brownie tissue culture that melted and hasn't come back, but apparently my tank doesn't like buce, because I've tired multiple times, and buce melts and never come back, so I don't fault them for that. Their plants are nearly always in good shape and happy. I did buy some downoi that was super leggy, and so I trimmed it to use only the best of it. It's there, in the tank, and I'm watching to see what it does. But the tissue culture of the downoi I got from them really took off, and is propagating just fine. Their cost is in line with online sellers when you factor in shipping. I'll continue to use them. I've been pleased with the knowledge of the employees and their locality.

My doggies are low maintenance on grooming but certainly need one from time to time. The customer service here is great and there is one employee who is just fantastic! I need to ask her name because she is just so helpful and nice! She has been there every time I go in besides one. She has short hair and wears glasses, probably close to my height at 5'2 or a little taller. She is a treasure and if I get her name, I'll come back and add it here. She is an asset for this business! Always helps me pick out good items, promotes products but not in a pushy way, makes sure my pets have any free samples available. Helps me find things I need in the store. A big thanks to her for being a positive in my day when I visit the store! Then there was a multi-week gap in communication and eventually a text saying she didn't have the time or energy to help my pup out, all despite me having pre-paid for a 5 session pack. We purchased her puppy package for in-home training sessions with our French Bulldog, Greta. Not only did Pam teach us how to interact with her, but Greta LOVED her and learned so much from her visits. At only four months, Greta is now potty trained, comes on command, sits on command, gives, 'hi-fives,' is crate trained, started to learn how to go on walks with a harness, knows command, 'up,' and 'off,' can fetch, and we learned how to calm her when she gets over stimulated. She even began some skateboarding with her! Of course we have to put in the work to continue to in grain these things in a puppy, but I can't even begin to convey the wealth of knowledge Pam imparted on us, so that we could acclimate more into puppy life and so Greta fit into ours. Pam teaches the human as well as the dog giving you a wealth of information, going above and beyond so that you know why a dog does the things they do, how to manage the behavior, and how the dog will absorb the training. She eased my worries and I was pleasantly surprised how expertly she worked with little ones. I can't recommend her services enough.

He had a very large cut between his back legs on the underside. Groomer didn't even mention it. I took him to our vet who prescribed a cream and an antibiotic as it was infected. Called the store and was told sorry, we can give you a discount next time. Next time?! Vet bill was over $100. No call back from owner either. This is really too bad because I thought this was going to be a good place!
