My husband and I started using Sherrys after our other groomer wasn't listening to what we wanted, they exceeded our expectations. We love this place. We have used the grooming and boarding services. I wish that I could have got ahold of Sherry's Pampered Pets so that I could have made the reservation that I needed. But after 2 attempts at contacting them by phone and leaving them a voicemail that never got returned, I never even got as far as making the reservation. I waited 3-4 days for a return phone call, and then made reservations elsewhere. If I can't even get ahold of anyone or get a return phone call after leaving a voicemail, I am sure not leaving my dog with you. read more

Good job here for a haircut for the little one. Ready when promised, prices are reasonable. Only gripe is it seems like the tips go into a jar behind the counter there instead of for the specific groomer for my pet (looked like what was going on, but not certain). Really spoils the point of being extra nice for your groomer, because then the nice tippers are just basically those who make up for the slackers who tip little to nothing. read more

Been going here since my dogs were puppies. One has died since and the other one is now 7 yrs old. She is an Akita and isn't exactly friendly with everybody or most dogs. They don't believe me at Sherry's. They think she is the sweetest thing. She seems to get along great with the other dogs, when I can't get her to walk by a dog without growling at them on a walk. They say she's being protective. I take her there once a week for daycare and she loves it!! Best of all the staff there is great!! They are always nice, sweet to my kids, and love my dog. My Bassett/Lab Mix was due for a nail trim and they were able to squeeze me in 30 minutes before closing which was very much appreciated. I'm always hesitant to try a new place because the last couple places haven't seemed sanitary and I just wasn't impressed with their overall vibe. I'm incredibly picky and a bit protective of my dogs. I was very pleased with the cleanliness of the place. They were very friendly, got down to my dog's level to greet him and instead of putting him up high on a table which he has almost backed off of at other places, they did it right there on the floor next to me. I literally have NEVER seen him so relaxed during a nail trim in his 10 plus years! I was very pleased! Definitely recommend Sherry's and will be back! read more

I took my dog, Charles, here just a few days ago. They did an AMAZING job! He's part cairn terrier but I don't like the typical cut groomers give so I always request just a trim and to focus on his beard. They shaved him underneath and did just a trim elsewhere. He looks so good! Plus they don't put the dogs in a crate when they're done. I like that they let them play with other dogs until I pick him up. I'll definitely be back and will be recommending everyone I know here. read more

We took our German shepherds to Sherry's today because of all the wonderful reviews on here. When we went in we asked that our two puppies get a "sanitary cut". The last two times they have been groomed elsewhere a sanitary cut meant shave the hair by the genitals. Michelle asked me if they had been shaved before and I said yes, the sanitary cut. She said so you want them shaved and again I said yes. We were not talking about shaving anything else but around the genitals. I thought it was a done deal. Bath, dry, do the nails and shave around the genitals. So we went to pick them up and she shaved their whole body. For goodness sakes, who shaves a German Shepard's whole body. When she brought the dogs out we thought they were someone else's dogs. When she saw the look in our eyes she knew something was wrong and refunded our money immediately. When we got home the dogs could not stop drinking water. I could not stop crying. I called Michelle and expressed my feelings as to what she had done. They are so busy there they need to write down what the customers want, and not put words in my mouth that she thinks she remembers I said. We are totally appalled at what happened and we will never go back there. Our dogs were traumatized they can't stop shaking. I don't know how to put a photo on here but you can just imagine. If I could I would give them a zero instead of one star. read more

I have a weiner mix and a pitbull australian shepherd. My dogs stayed for five days while I flew home for Christmas. It is perfect because my dogs get to share a run and get play time! It does stink like ammonia inside, but it is a good reminder that its an indoor dog boarding which means they get air conditioning when it is hot out! So of course it will smell a little strong inside. The staff was sweet and quick, which we needed. I picked up my dogs they were fine, happy, and tired in a having played all day way. I had a wonderful first experience here!! I have two Australian cattle dogs and this was there first time to the groomer, they loved it!! They came back with a shiny coat, nails trimmed and less hair (I asked for them to brush out the undercoat)! The price was awesome too!! I looked all day and kept being quoted 50-70 for each dog! When I called sherry I was quoted 30 per dog and they got me in within two hours! I will be back once a month for my pups!! read more

Used to have decent groomers, but the last time I took my dog there, she came home with a total hack job that I could have done myself. When I called to schedule the next appointment, I asked for a different groomer, and the receptionist said, "Well Michelle is the OWNER, sooo...." When said I wasn't satisfied with her work, and asked again for a different groomer, the receptionist said, in a very condescending and rude tone, "Ya know, maybe you should try a different shop." I love this place and so does my dog, Shelby! The staff is very friendly and attentive to Shelby. She goes here everyday for doggy day care, we have boarded her a few times while on vacation & she also gets her nails trimmed here. They do a great job with all of the above. The first time we boarded her, she lost some weight, but I think it's because she wasn't used to the environment overnight & was so busy playing she just didn't eat. The last few times, she's had no problem eating since she's so comfortable there. She's always excited to go inside when we pull up in the car and greets the staff excitedly. My dog loves it at Sherry's. Before coming to Sherry's, my dog was never able to get along with other dogs but just one day after coming, he didn't want to go home. He loves it here. I've been taking my dog to Michelle for the past three years and we love it. My dog is a rescue and is scared of everything. When we go to the shop Michelle greets us by name and my dog goes right with her. When I come and get her She is happy and looks great. I would recommed everyone take your dog to Sherry's. There borading and daycare are great to. When ever I go out of town i leave my baby with them. I am able to see her play with other dogs. Sherry's is a very shady facility. I took my dog there for a few years and each time I picked him up he had lost weight and seemed withdrawn. I had requested several times to view their boarding area and declined each time with some excuse. The last appointment I made with them I was to take an extended vacation and because my dog has separation anxiety I decided to visit the facility again and again requested to see the boarding facility and declined. Two days later Sherry's called me to cancel my reservations indicating liability issues to care for my pet. I have taken my yorkie here twice before. The first time I fell in love. The front desk person greeted us with a smile and a big hello to our baby. I felt safe and secure leaving our little one with them. When we picked her up she was happy and we were happy with the results. Excited to find a place so close near us we decided they would be our go to groomers. So I booked a second appointment a few months later. Reception was not as warm but I guess the only thing that mattered was they treat my baby well. Dropping her off felt like an inconvenience on their part. The person on the phone sounded upset that I didn't know who "my" groomer was. I'm thinking I am barely building a relationship with you guys. Why do I have to have a set groomer all of a sudden?? Is there some sort of bidding war going on behind the scenes that I just don't get?! You've had my dog before ONCE. I'm not going to settle on one person after only one point of contact. As a consumer can I not choose to have my dog seen by another groomer if the previous groomer was not there? Am I limited to ONE PERSON? Whatever. I was already there. She treated me rudely but was very sweet to my dog so I shrugged it. Welp. I called today to make an appointment and was again asked who my groomer was. The lady who picked up sounded extremely annoyed. Was rude and curt. So much so she put someone else on the phone to tell me they have no openings. Mind you, I work I customer service. I take calls daily. I kept a very polite demeanor even after she huffed and puffed on the phone. I said thank you for your time. I said my pleases and thank yous. I hung up the phone after that to write this. I will never go back. I am baffled that the level of customer service deteriorated after the initial visit. If I am trusting you with my beloved pet please make me feel like my patronage is valued. Otherwise you are losing a customer. I was so excited to create a trusting bond with the groomers down the street who have an otherwise gleaming reputation given by the preceding reviews. But I guess I needed to be a long time customer at this point who has decided on one groomer after only one visit. Very annoyed. I will be looking elsewhere. read more

The Groomer, Michelle, ignored me the entire time I was there dropping off my dogs and then again the entire time I was there picking them up. I only asked for two things, do not cut their ears and do not cut their tails...both were cut. One of my dogs is a Matipoo and she had a beautiful long tail that dropped down over her back and now it is gone. Not only did I request that in person at the time I took them in, but I also wrote it on the card they gave me to fill out when I dropped them off. I guess this is my fault as I was unhappy the last time I took them there and yet I tried again. Well, I won't be going back again and I highly recommend that you don't either! read more

Very grateful for the loving service from Sherry's. I was extremely nervous about bringing my senior pup, Jack, as he had had a seizure at the last groomers when they used the dryer on him and that groomer had freaked out (He had never have one before). The professionals at Sherry's have experience in this area and knew exactly what I was referring to and knew what precautions to take with him. They said he was fine. What a relief! I love that the pups get to run around with other pups in the play area while waiting to be groomed. I have been taking my dog to Sherry's Pampered Pets for years! I would recommend this place to everyone! They are first of all very reasonable as far as prices go! And I had recently had a baby and they offered to come to the car to get the dog do I didn't have to leave my baby. They will call and check up on me to make sure me and my family are ok if I don't show up to a few appointments. I really wanted to like this place. Just moved to Phoenix from California. Back there we had 1 groomer we always went to that was great. But me and my husband knew we wouldn't find a place as great cus that only comes once..so we didn't have high expectations. When I originally called for a price the lady who answered seemed rude. I didn't take to offense I brushed it off. She stated for a bath, brush and nail trim it would be $25. Didnt seem so bad. So I called again to make an appt, she seemed the same, short and simple responses.. When we took our dog in, their was no "hello or welcome", no hospitality from anyone present. " what can I do for you" was said so unhappily.. I let the lady know my dog had an appt, she took my dog and had me fill out a information card. I asked her if anal glands could be relieved as well, bcus I could smell her leaking, and with my dog that usually means she's full. (I've personally tried and I cant seem to do it right) She stated it was included in everything so I said ok cool. Once i finished filling card, she just said" we'll call you" so I left and about 2 hours passed which compared to my usual groomer seemed fast. But I didnt worry. When I arrived they just told me the price, I paid and they gave me my dog. They didnt tell me how she did, if they had a hard time, nothing was said. Which was also weird to me. So I asked. They said she was fine. No trouble. So when I arrived home I felt like her nails were still long. They didnt look cut...but I thought maybe I was crazy. So I didnt think anything of it. She smelled clean. But not like super clean. Again didnt make a fuss. But now today, a few days after the appt, my dogs anal glands bursted. I may be exaggerating when I say bursted but I'm not exaggerating when I say that she leaked so much, it was obvious they weren't relieved. Their is no way possible they were relieved and 5 days later they got so full they bursted. I was pissed at this point bcuz it was all over my bed. And yeah yeah it's not their fault I allow my dog on my bed but it was their fault it happened bcuz they stated they would do it and then didn't even let me know they didnt. I attempted to call multiple times and no answer even though it says they ARE OPEN. My husband also attempted to call, no answer. So the only thing left was to leave a review. Now I'm not so sure they even trimmed her nail after all and I dont feel crazy about it bcuz clearly they dont do what they say they will. I will not be returning. I will not be recommending. And I advice anyone else who thinks about going here to save their $25 for some place else. read more

My dog and I love Sherry's Pampered Pets. They are able to book last minute day care trips as well as making sure he has plenty of play time with the other dogs. I take my dog here for daycare trips just because! On Tuesday 3/17/2015 at 11:30 am drop off 2 of my dogs to be groomed got a call to pick them up at 4:15 pm which I proceed to do at 4:30 pm. When I picked them up I noticed one of my dogs back legs where walk not normally hoping he would come out it this social dog went into hiding and panting heavy I was not sure what was wrong I assumed maybe the owner who groomed my dog accidentally nicked my dogs private which I called the next day to let them know but as the day went on my dog seem to take a turn for the worst and at 8:30 pm I was at 1st pet veterinary centers where they said my dog had a slip disk in his back and was prescribe tramadol, Methocarbamol and prednisone all from taking him to get groomed at Sherry's Pampered Pets. Why was I not told by Sherry Pampered Pets that my dog may of fell from bath or jerked from leash hard or maybe there something else that happened to my dog but for my dog to be injuries this bad no heads up or maybe they were hoping this would go away I will never take my dogs to groomers any more I will learn to do it myself. In closing I'm hoping my dog will pull out of this and if he does I don't know if he will be physical the same dog he was before I took him to Sherry's Pampered Pets read more

12.13.16. Very dissapointed with my experience here. My sister has been bringing her dog here for a while now, so I decided to give it a shot with my year old shih tzu. As soon as I walk in, the lady at the front desk did not even seem cheerful. No customer hospitality whats so ever. No hello, hows your day, etc... " what can I do for you" was said so uhhappily. Then I get approached by the hair dresser who says she can't do anything for my dog, besides shave him completely off because he has a few knots. Shih tzu dogs are not suppose to be completely shaven off, it truly does change their personality ( as I have seen before). And yet the hair dresser has the nerve to tell me she's been in this field for " 20 plus years". Well obviously not if your going to take the easy way out and decided to shave my dog. Why would I spend close to $50 for my dog to be made looking like a rat? No thanks. I happily left this place, and went over to Petsmart. Where they had no problem, taking the extra time to get the knots out of my dogs hair and give me the customer service I was looking for. read more
