I took my children here. The front desk person wasn't too friendly. The assistants that cleaned my children's teeth kept on interrupting my conversation with the dentist. Dr. franklin was really good with the children. I am not going back though because there was a lot of recommendations for work on my daughters teeth. However, I've gone to another dentist and they said her teeth were perfect, no work needed. I've decided to give this place another star because the dentist personally reached out to me. Dr Yazdi did our child's tongue and lip tie release. His staff was very friendly and he was extremely informative with his assessment and patient while we made our decision. We got our son's oral ties fixed today, after 4 months of feeding issues. I wish I had found Dr Yazdi sooner, multiple pediatricians had said the tongue ties weren't a problem , but I knew they were wrong because my son could barely move his tongue. My 10 day old daughter had been struggling since day 1 with breast feeding. She would latch too shallow and she ripped apart my nipple. She was not eating, so as a mother, I resorted to pumping and bottle feeding her. It mentally played with my emotions. I got a laceration specialist who recommended I get my daughters tongue clipped as my daughter appeared to be tongue tied, both top and bottom. My LS recommend Dr. Yazdi. I am SO GLAD she did. Dr. Yazdi has a very gentle tone while talking to his patients. It makes us first time parents feel comfortable. He showed us what our daughter tongue tied looked like and went into great detail about what and where it needed to be in order for her to latch and eat. I really appreciated him making references to every day life, to help us grasp the concepts of what he was talking about. The procedure was quick. I think my daughter was back in my arms in less than a minute after she was taken in. Afterwards they asked us to feed, at the time my daughter wanted no part in feeding. A few minutes later, Dr. Yazdi came in and talked to us about the recovery process. What I appreciated is he did a lot of hand on hand. He asked us to demonstrate the pressure we needed to apply to the clip on him so he can tell us if we needed to apply more pressure or if it was enough. When we got home, my daughter still didn't take to me right away. Then I tried a nipple shield my LS gave me. And she latched on right away and for 15+ mins. Both my LS and Dr. Yardi said that feeding will take awhile but a shield is a good way of practice and training my daughter and the fact that she took to it already is a fantastic place to start! I am truly happy and pleased with Dr. Yazdi and his practice. If you are debating on if you should go, GO. read more

Our daughter was born Dec. 2016 and breastfeeding got off to a very, very painful start. Everyone told me that pain was normal in the beginning but it should get better. Well, it wasn't. I'll spare you all the gory details but if you're reading this review looking for lip and/or tongue tie help then you already know how ugly things can get! I was determined to make breastfeeding work but it was just too painful and my daughter wasn't transferring milk effectively. I finally saw a lactation consultant at her pediatrician's office but she told me if she could stick her tongue out then she wasn't tongue tied (which is not the case for posterior ties). I left feeling deflated but not ready to give up. Finally, I did my own research and found Dr. Yazdi online. We made an appointment. The office was nice and everyone was friendly. We did some intake forms and sat in one of the rooms. Dr. Yazdi met with us and looked at our daughter. He explained everything thoroughly and I never felt pressured. In fact, he warned me that my daughter already being 8 weeks old and mostly bottle fed that this might not help our breastfeeding relationship because the bottle had been so easy for her. We also would not be covered by insurance so it would be a $750 out of pocket cost. After discussing it we decided to go though with the procedure any way at least if nothing else to prevent speech/dental problems in the future. They took her into the procedure room with her blanket for comfort, it took no time at all and she seemed a bit sleepy after so she wasn't interested in nursing. After we took her home I felt like I had made the worst mistake. Now she was no longer interested in trying to latch AND she was fussing at the bottle. What had I done?! I figured out she was just a little fussy from the discomfort and she was better the next day. I can't stress this enough...*this was NOT a quick and easy fix*! The stretches were awful, she screamed every time AND her latch did not immediately improve. But every day we worked at it and every day she got a little bit better. But it took about 4 weeks post procedure to ditch the pump and bottles completely and exclusively breastfeed. She is now 4 1/2 months old and is a nursing champ. What a beautiful gift it's been and I truly believe this would not have been possible without getting her lip and tongue ties revised. read more

I want to highly recommend this office for their service and customer care. My 3 year old son needed anaesthesia after failing to have his cavities addressed in normal means or nitrous oxide. I was initially very hesitant to have him go under anaesthesia, but having no real option left, decided to go forward with it. From the scheduling all the way to the day of the appointment, I must say that this group was on it! They are organized, professional, and have an extra bit of sensitivity to emotional dads like myself. I was also late on the appointment date and was worried they would have to re-schedule, but they graciously took us in. They even brought me coffee! My daughter used to go to Dr. Yazdi's and I should have written this review a long time ago, but I'm just now getting around to it. His staff (at the time my daughter went) was very nice. And the first time I met Dr. Yazdi, I was very impressed. However, as time went on, I found him to be extremely unprofessional, impatient, unfriendly and full of himself. My daughter has a birthmark on her face and EVERY single time I took my daughter to see the doctor, he would point to it and question me how she got her "bruise." EVERY time!!!! And EVERY time I went, I would tell him the same thing, "It's a birthmark. You asked me this last time. Call her pediatrician to confirm it." Do you know how upsetting his comments were to my little one? I completely understand that a doctor should inspect anything on a child that could look like child abuse. But after several years of seeing my daughter, don't you think he would have remembered or at the least, made a NOTE in his file. My daughter NEVER cried nor complained when we went for a visit. In fact, when she had dental work done, his assistant complimented my daughter telling her, "You are such a good patient. You never complain. I love when you come here." On what was to be our last visit, I took my daughter in for a cleaning and Dr. Yazdi said to her in a very condescending tone, "That's right. You're the one who cries a lot. Now let's make sure you don't cry this time and cause problems." WHAT????? My daughter had NEVER shed a tear in there and even if she had, his comment would have been TOTALLY inappropriate. I had other friends and family members who had issues with this man and as far as I know, all of us left him. I found another pediatric dentist in Hayward whom my daughter and I LOVE. read more

Dr. Yazdi may as well be selling tongue tie surgeries at this point. My son is 5 years old and his Dr. has confirmed he has no tongue tie issue, but let Dr. Yazi tell it, its a quick snip. I breastfed my son with successful for over a year, never have we had a latch or tongue tie issue in his life. For the 1st 3 years of coming to this place Dr. Mullen saw my child, she never ONCE mentioned a tongue tie in any of our routine visits. She has some conflicts in scheduling and my son is sent to Yazdi, all of a sudden we "need" tongue tie surgery! In general I did not like the vibes this guy gave me, my son needs allot of dental work done so of course I am concerned. I felt like with this Dr. if I asked too many questions he tried to make me feel like I was questioning his profession or experience, when in reality I am pretty sure the man has NO kids and my motherly indistinct and concerns will always come 1st for my child. He came off as a fake tanned salesman to me and the comfort/compassion/concern I used to feel as a child going to my dentist just was not there. The entitled rude way he spoke to his dental assistant would have been a contributor to that feeling. I was asking and bringing up very valid points and I think he just wanted me to say, "sure do whatever you need" so he can move onto other patients... not with me, I want to be clear and feel good about the work that is being done for my child. After asking "too many questions" he told me he has to re-schedule my appointment, there was no longer time to work on my son. Mind you we waited months for this appointment. I get the feeling this place just packs in as many appointments as possible and tries to sell as many tongue tie surgeries as possible, more money the better for them. If your child needs no work done and just regular check-up's, this place may fly for you, it did for me for a while. I had been taking my son there since he was 1 years old and they always said he was all clear, at 4.5 years old he suddenly had a bunch of cavities... BEWARE. I am not blaming this office for my son's cavities but when you have great insurance and have been bringing both of your kids every 6 monthly religiously, clearly you would hope your dentist is checking in on things and can catch things early on. I personally think my son was so young and would usually fall asleep at the appointments so they just never thoroughly checked. The front desk staff and dental assistant staff is turning over constantly. I do not think I have ever seen the same assistant or front desk staff, that alone tells you something about this place. Parking is horrible, the massage chair is ancient with holes, the play structure serves as a distraction for the kids but needs to be sanitized and cleaned! read more

This place should be called " Sedation dentisty" because thats all he wanted to do with my child, Sure they have a state of the art office flat screen TVs, even an arcade with a Ski-ball game. But im sure thats his putting his kids to sleep profit. By the looks of ther reviews I see I wasnt the only one. He wasnt very Kid-friendly, Impatient, and his kid ettiqute was off. When he was actually doing the exam he was repeating to his assistant the work that "needed" to be done, well... It was loud and clear, and actually sounded quite frightening. So he opted to put my child to sleep so they can do the work at an additional 1,000 non-covered expensive. Not to mention the danger of being put to sleep! He said my child has "anxiety" because she had tears in her eyes after hearing everything he said during the exam..Well I would cry too..Basicly hes just out for the $$$$ I now have a fantastic dentist that my kids enjoy and actually like going to see. = ) read more

However, his high and mighty sedation dr wants us to pay over $800 out of pocket before our insurance pays for it, even with preauthorization from our insurance. And it is the only guy that he has. Unfortunately, similar experience with Dr. Franklin today, not what I was expecting for a pediatric dentistry office. My 5 yro was seen for the first time; the entire 5 min she gave us her attention, she was rushed and unclear. Dr. Franklin vaguely explained her evaluation and quickly walked over to her next patient. Definitely made us feel like a number and did not provide empathy towards our concerns. Instead she rushed to give her assistant orders and asked for us to schedule the next visit. I was very disappointed. However because of the timing, I decided to give the practice another shot. I scheduled a second opinion consultation with Dr. Wang and am hoping for a better experience. Dr. Yazdi and his assistant were very good with my boy. Very informative, quick and helpful. My boy had no problem with the procedure. Nice clean environment for kids. Play area in the waiting room and a massage chair for parents (nice touch for parents). Also instead of candy - kids receive a token to use in the miniature arcade. I brought my daughter in based on a recommendation of an amazing local lactation specialist who confirmed that lip and tongue ties were causing latch issues and major discomfort during breastfeeding. The office was easy to get to, clean, and staffed with friendly people. Dr. Yazdi was very professional, but also very personable. He took a look at our newborn and gave use his opinion and options whether we chose to go through with the procedure or not. He was not a salesman. You can quickly see that he chose this profession because he loves what he does. We felt very safe with having him be the one to do the procedure for our two week old. He was quick, but very thorough. He encouraged us to help hold and soothe our baby during the procedure, and allowed me to nurse immediately after. The went over the after care in great detail and scheduled a follow-up appointment with us to make sure that she was healing well. I couldn't be more satisfied! read more

Our experience with Dr. Yazdi was excellent. I normally avoid any sort of aggressive medical interventions with my children when I can, but I knew that she needed to have both her lip tie and tongue tie addressed to be able to continue breastfeeding. I cannot believe the difference! It's like nursing a totally different child! From the moment they brought her back to me, everything had improved. We are about a week out, and although the aftercare is intense, I am still glad we did it. The office is nice and designed to be as relaxing as possible given the circumstances. Dr. Franklin is a gem! I brought my 1.5 year old here for her first ever dental appointment. Truthfully, I was expecting the worst for this appointment simply based on how my daughter responds to me brushing her teeth (not well). Amazingly, it couldn't have gone better. I was so relieved and thankful for Dr. Franklin's sweet personality - she knows how to quickly gain a child's trust and make them feel comfortable. She was playful, kind, and calm. I was impressed by the fact that, for the most part, I didn't have to intervene during the appointment - she is a pro and had it under control. Back when my daughter was only a month old, we went to Dr. Yazdi to clip her tongue tie and lip tie. At this time I had a VERY colicky and uncomfortable baby and every time we left the house I would be terrified that she would scream the entire time. She usually did everytime we went to Dr. Yazdi's, but the staff was always very nice about her screaming bloody murder. Rebecca H. and our LC, Lisa Meyer-Jones both recommended Dr.Yazdi after each of them diagnosed Ava's tongue and lip tie. It was very dissapointing that it was not discovered by anyone at Kaiser or the LCs that work for Kaiser. If it was discovered earlier I feel like our nursing relationship would have been very different. But I digress. We immediately went to Dr. Yazdi and he cut her ties. It was quick and easy, but hard to watch my baby struggle. I noticed a difference in her eating right after and while it didn't solve all of our problems it certainly helped. I have talked with a few other moms whose children have had ties and cut by different doctors and dentists and none were advised on the exercises you must perform in order to prevent new skin from growing back. Even though I hated having my daughter cry while I stuck my fingers in her mouth to do the exercises, I knew that if the skin grew back Dr. Yazdi would be very dissapointed in us! The follow up care is really important and I have not heard of others offering what Dr. Yazdi does. It was easy to deal with the insurance and we were reimbursed fairly quickly. It was not a cheap procedure, but necessary. I would not hesitate to recommend Dr. Yazdi to other parents who are dealing with tongue and lip tie issues. read more

After 3 awful months of plugged ducts, mastitis, multiple visits to a lactation center trying to get our latch right, I finally saw Dr. Yazdi and had my sons tongue tie fixed. My chiropractor had mentioned my son was tongue tied early on, but after several doctors deemed our child not tongue tied, I just assumed he wasn't and somewhat brushed my chiropractor off which in hindsight was not smart. At about 3 months, I saw a lactation specialist at a Mom's group who (lucky us) specialized in tongue ties. She watched me nurse for a while and then stopped us to check his tongue because she suspected he was tongue tied based on his latch. She noticed my son had a posterior tongue tie which was very difficult to diagnosis. Dr. Yazdi said the same thing as the Lactation Specialist, he had a posterior severe tongue tie. Although there was no pressure to do it that day, we went ahead and had it done. The procedure was over in 3 minutes and I immediately nursed the baby but didn't notice a difference in latch right away. One to two weeks after the procedure, nursing had completely changed. He latched! The plugged ducts went away, AND I couldn't nurse without a "brest friend" prior to the procedure and I NEVER had to again. I didn't think I'd be able to stick with nursing for very long due to our latch, but went on to nurse for a really long time after this procedure. I'm a huge advocate for having this procedure done after my experience. Several of my friends were on the fence but ended up doing it too and are so happy they did. read more

I absolutely love Dr. Yazdi and his staff! My daughter, who is 6 has been going there for about 3 years. I also have a 1 year old and she got her first check up yesterday. I recently joined YELP, which is the only reason I am just now writing this review. I agree with the woman who wrote the review in saying that the only thing I don't like is that they don't treat adults. ha, ha. Dr. Yazdi and his staff are always professional, yet thorough. Because his staff is well-trained, Dr. Yazdi doesn't have to spend a lot of time going over things that could be handled by the assistants. BUT if you do have a question, he is more than willing to explain everything to you and answer your questions. Adults will love the massage chair and the children love the game room... and watching tv while they are being serviced. Keep up the good work! read more

We have been going here since my daughter was 4 and she's now 7. In that time she has see a least 4 different dentist some she likes very much and was very sad to hear left. Going to the dentist is not exactly a pleasant experience for kids, so seeing a new dentist every visit doesn't really help with her developing trust in the provider and lower the anxiety of the experience. We also had a dentist that seemed to be recruited straight from dental school and have very little experience with children. That particular dentist didn't have much empathy when my daughter was nervous and just dismissed her fear. This office has lot of potential but for some reason they have a very high turn over of dentists coming through the office. Also, there has been times we received a surprised bill in the mail when we were quoted that it'll be covered by insurance. Other than that the office is structured to help kids feel comfortable (lower/ smaller dental chairs, fun waiting room and game room in the back, cute toothbrushes provided). read more

I was referred to this office by our lactation consultant to treat my two-week old son's severe lip tie. Dr. Yazdi's staff was careful to clearly state the charges that I could expect to pay out of pocket since my son wasn't confirmed on our insurance yet. [He is now there and the staff is getting the claim processed.] I also want to mention that I called as soon as I returned from the LC and was given a NEXT DAY appointment--as the staff said, newborns need to be seen quickly. This was amazing for us. I work in healthcare and I found the charges to be reasonable in light of the expertise Dr. Yazdi brings to the table, as well as the experience of visiting a well-appointed and well-staffed office. These things cost money and I was happy to pay. Therapeutically speaking, Dr. Yazdi definitely knows what he's doing when it comes to laser frenectomy. He was quick, accurate, and the treatment to my son's lip was EFFECTIVE. He offered our son either injectable or topical anesthetic, which was a nice choice. His post-op instructions were crystal clear and also, EFFECTIVE. The one point I will make is that Dr. Yazdi's explanations could perhaps be a bit confusing--he knows what he's doing but he does go through things quickly--I had researched frenectomy and knew a bit about it going in, so I was fine, but I appreciate that others might be a bit confused. No stars off for this though---as I mentioned, I'm looking for EFFECTIVE treatment, and this was exactly what I received. Post-op my son can latch on the breast or the bottle so much better--orders of magnitude better. If you are having issues nursing and your providers mention lip or tongue tie, take your infant to this office--Dr. Yazdi will surely help you out! read more

So my baby had a tongue tie which had tremendously affected her nursing. We were referred to Dr.Yazdi. Let me start off by saying he's extremely energetic, he tries to be a thorough as possible. His office is very nice and clean, purple, and modern. Definitely welcoming. His office staff I can't say the same for. 1. I called in after completing the registration online and was told I would receive a call back after speaking with the Dr.. My baby was just turning seven months the next day in which he typically doesn't perform releases on babies over seven months. Two weeks later and I still hadn't received a call back. 2. I followed up after two weeks per my lactation consultants request who referred me to Dr. Yadzi. I was then informed Dr.Yadzi would be able to perform the release, and was given an appointment for the following week. I asked if the office accepts dental insurance and I was told yes. The office manager didn't specify what type of insurance was and was not accepted leaving me under the impression all dental insurance was acceptable. 3. I got to my appointment and the I must say the office was beautiful. Very comfortable and welcoming for new mothers. However the office staff was a different experience. 4. The office staff who assisted my intake couldn't explain anything to me throughly she had no knowledge so every question I asked she could not answer. Her English was extremely broken. She would skip ahead and tell me she would come back to that, but didn't, and wanted me to sign paper work with no explanation. That was such a timeous process to the point another assistant came in. The other assistant was rude, and began to rush me telling me my appointment was only two hours. Something I had no idea about. 5. After receiving the answers to my questions I proceeded to move forward with the procedure. They had no intention on billing my insurance. They had not taken any of my insurance information and requested my card or cash. I explained I had insurance in which then I was informed they didn't accept my dental insurance. What a waste of time if I didn't have the money to pay for the procedure? 6. The office assistant who came into my session rude then told me I was lying about the office manger telling me they accept my dental insurance. How rude right? 7. They never followed up with me regarding my baby five day post op photos but sent me several links to rate their business on Google or Yelp so here I am. 8. They also emailed me another customers personal information (address, treatment plan, etc. etc.) definitely breaking HIPPA laws. Would I recommend them? I'm not sure. After my baby's procedure I wouldn't recommend anything invasive if it's not dire. My baby has had more access to milk with the tie but I've also still been pumping so to me it was pointless. A traumatic experience for my baby . To each it's own. The tie removal would be helpful for younger babies with less invasive techniques. I had to take two stars off for them not following up, sending me someone else's personal information, and how rude the office staff was. read more

We saw Dr Yazdi recently to fix our son's severe tongue and lip tie. He was absolutely fantastic and I would highly recommend him. He saw us extremely quickly - the very next day. He was also able to do the assessment and procedure in the same appointment (which was really great since it's quite a drive for us to get there.) He does the procedure with laser, which is nice because there is less bleeding than cutting. His office staff was extremely helpful and thorough, and the doctor himself was wonderful. When my son was three months old and we should've had breastfeeding down to a science, it was clear to us that we had a problem on our hands. After THREE DOCTORS suggested I was just using the wrong cream for the gaping holes on my nipples, I finally saw a lactation specialist who suggested he could possibly have a tongue and lip tie. After meeting with an ear, nose and throat specialist who would've happily done the "snip" procedure, it was determined that his condition was more severe. We were told that if the ties were just snipped, he would lose a hefty amount of blood, being that the skin was too thick. We were then referred to Dr. Yazdi. We were told that his office had a laser that would cartorize while cutting back the flesh. We trekked three hours from home to see him at his office in Castro Valley. After a thorough evaluation and explanation by the doctor, we decided to go forward with the procedure on both his tongue and lip. We were told that we would need to do "exercises" to keep the skin from growing back to their original state. While these were so painful (for him physically as well as our household; they needed to be performed every four hours, throughout the night and all, for five weeks) we couldn't be more happy with the results. Literally two minutes after they were finished, he latched on with ease and it was the first time that I didn't cringe (or cry) from severe pain. It was that instantaneous. Since he is now five months and breastfeeding is still a breeze, I've heard many stories from other moms that make it obvious that this is most certainly an misdiagnosed issue with babies. I can't tell you how highly I recommend you take this leap. Yes, it doesn't sound ideal. But the results are so worth the work, I would do it again in a heartbeat. THANK YOU SO MUCH TO DR. Dr. Yazdi is the one to go to for tongue and lip tie release procedures in the East Bay. His office is extremely professional and dedicated to these specific procedures. He said he has done over 5500 of them! Don't waste your time with your doctor's office, they don't do them as often. He has really helped our month old baby with her latch by releasing her posterior tongue and her upper lip. We still need follow up with craniosacral to strengthen her latch, but she overall looks great. I'm very thankful to Dr. Yazdi and hopeful that our breastfeeding relationship will keep improving! read more

Dr Yazdi changed my son completely. We took him in suspecting he had a tongue tie at 11 months. I knew something was wrong right in the beginning, but no one listened to me. He did and confirmed he had a severe tongue tie. He was very kind and checked our whole family. He didn't pressure us into doing it and gave us plenty of time and space to make our decision. We decided to do the procedure that day and they don't let you go back, but it's over within minutes. When they bring the baby back they turn down the lights and have you nurse to calm them down. They also were able to do it without pain relief which was nice because we weren't comfortable giving him anything. He was very thorough about aftercare- stretches and pain relief. And they have you come back after a few weeks to check the tongue. The office was so nice too, like pottery barn meets dentist office. It was expensive but so so worth it. My son is happier, calmer and and no long has digestive problems. I only wish we were able to do it when he was a newborn. Thank you Dr Yazdi!!! read more

I came to Dr Yazdi to address my daughters class 4 lip tie. I had a very positive experience with Dr. Yazdi and I would recommend Mothers having lactation issues to please get this addressed as it can make all the difference in the world with your breast-feeding experience. I believe Dr. Yazdi to be an honest man, if there is no tongue tie present, he will not perform a procedure, or charge a fee on something that is unnecessary. As somebody who works closely in lactation I can tell you that a lip tie and tongue-tie will affect your breast-feeding experience and it will be incredibly painful. I also think it would be prudent of Dr. Yazdi to have a board certified lactation consultant in office/on staff to consult with patients before and after a TT or LT release procedure. He deals with a lot of Breastfeeding mothers... Having a LC to consult with would be surely one of a kind. Overall, highly recommend him and the staff. read more

Dr. Yazdi is great! He is very passionate when it comes to caring for children's mouths and teeth. Both of my children see him for regular dental care. He is patient, gentle, and very kind. He listens well and always had great advice. Dr. Yazdi's office is state the art. Along with dental chairs and equipment there are video screens on the ceiling playing children's movies. They provide sunglasses to protect children's eyes from the bright dental light, and at the end of each visit your child gets a report card and a token to the game room. The waiting area is also comfortably equipped with a play area and large TV. All the hygienists are also very parent and children friendly! Dr. Yazdi makes us feel comfortable to be in his care. He reminds me of my childhood dentist whom i will never forget for taking great care of me and my brothers. As dental care is very important, Im grateful to have a dentist my children will remember fondly. read more

Dr. Franklin is an incredible dentist! She is friendly, knowledgeable, trustworthy, patient, kind, and smart! She really knows her stuff! Our kids have been going to this office for while, I am so happy with the way Dr. Franklin treats my children, she has done such an amazing job, both of my son's aren't afraid of dental visits, she has also helped to ease any fears they may have. We actually moved to Pleasant Hill and my boys weren't given the same attention to detail and care that Dr. Franklin gave them. If anything the dentist was aggressive and wanted to pull my sons teeth instead of let them fall out naturally( letting his teeth fall out naturally was actually recommended by Dr. Franklin). We now make the long trip to visit Dr. Franklin. I have since realized that when you find someone who really cares about oral care/ health and knows so much invaluable information you have to stick with them!! Just an update that I did receive the refund of payment, as my insurance company covered it. I received calls from the business office to make sure I got it. Dr. Yazdi called to make sure baby was doing well. I remain thoroughly impressed with my experience. My daughter is doing great, she can stick her tongue out and should have no issues with speech impediment in the future. I am thankful for the care we received. read more

I have a similar experience as Jessica M's review here regarding Dr. Franklin who was our alternative pediatric dentist after Dr. Mullen went on maternity leave. Dr. Mullen was great and provided thoughtful recommendations to our son's cavity issue. Dr. Mullen was considerate and understanding since our son is very reluctant like any 3 or 4 years old kids are to going to the dentist. Dr. Franklin seems to be much less understanding and patient to kids being a pediatric dentist and all. Anyways, we will be most likely switching pediatric dentist from now on. read more

We have been going to this dentist for a long time now. A few years ago they switched us to Dr. Franklin and she was great at first until today. My daughter was getting a cleaning and the lady cleaning her teeth was very rough with brushing and flossed only about 5-9 teeth. She kept splashing water on her face and didn't clean her teeth properly. After the cleaning we were waiting for 15-20 mins for the doctor. She eventually came but tended to someone else stretching us to wait for 30 mins. We had places to be, so we told the nurse that we would like to leave and reschedule but she refused. She sent me into the waiting room and Dr. Franklin tended to her finally. She was rushing on my daughter and being very aggressive even though it didn't seem like a rush for the other customers since they were doing a lot of talking. When she tented to my daughter my daughter said that she took a sharp tool, scraped her gums very aggressively causing them to bleed severely. After the scraping to her gums she told my daughter to look in the mirror and told her "your gums are bleeding a lot because of your flossing, so make sure to floss more." As if she didn't just cause lots of roughness and distress to her mouth. She seemed annoyed and it has pushed us to change dentistry's. read more

This was my second time visiting Dr. Yazdi's office for infant Frenectomy. He did my sons back in 2017 and I brought my daughter in recently. I can't begin to even describe all the reasons you should feel comfortable bringing your child here, but to begin you should know, Dr. Shervin Yazdi is the best in the business, he's widely recognized as one of the most respected doctors for infant Frenectomy in the United States. I actually found his office through a national lip & tongue tie group and thankfully his office was near my home. He's extremely knowledgeable And thorough in explaining the procedure. Also, don't think he has something to "sell" neither of my children had tongue ties along with their lip tie (which is rare) and he was honest that they did not need the procedure. He could have easily told me they did, how would I know? But that's not the kind of person he is. Your care doesn't just end after your procedure either, he always follows up with a call. The actual office space itself is immaculate! Overall, I trust My Dr. Yazdi to care for my children which I think says it all. I wish I could give 10 stars. read more

Dr Yazdi has very good bedside manners and was a pleasure to work with. Genuinely caring person who took his time and made sure we were comfortable. Overall, our daughter's double frenectomy turned out great. There was an issue with the billing that was resolved after a few back and forths, but that was more an issue wth the accounting staff than Dr. Yazdi. read more

My 1.5 year old daughter had her 1st appointment here. She loved the play area, and the office staff was great. 1st we saw a tech who we discussed any questions/ concerns, then flossed/brushed her teeth, of couse she cried, then we saw Dr.Mullen whom did a more thorough exam and did a flouride tx.... Still cried. Nothing against the staff, I'm sure dealing with toddler teeth is no easy task. Needless to say, she's been letting me floss and brush her teeth since.
