Being at Villa Serrano was an incredible experience for me. I absolutely love the beautiful landscape. Reminded me of Palm Springs, with white stone rocks, and beautiful various kinds of plants like cactuses and other hints of greens. The new upgrades are awesome, especially the granite kitchen cabinets and vinyl flooring. I also enjoy that there is a playground available for kids to play as well as a half basketball court. Lastly the pool standing next to recreational room, provides just the perfect combination of relaxation for family and friends. I am not the best cook but I do enjoy when others barbecue at the two locations they have at the center and by the pool. :) The service always gets answered and taken care of. The staff are not only quick at providing service but are genuinely kind and they get their job done. Villa Serrano is the great apartment community! Ultimately, we did not end up going with this property despite being approved. However, I wanted to acknowledge how friendly and helpful the staff was. I've been living here for almost 3 years and I love it. Parking is very restricted as there are no parking spots for visitors but other than that, no complaints. Unit is so old and outdated and they wouldn't renovate our unit but still would increase the rent exorbitantly each year. Mold grew extremely easily especially on the ceiling and in the showers. So much dust would collect in unit. Things constantly breaking and would sometimes receive no response from maintenance. The maintenance "team" being one person is an absolute joke. How is he supposed to manage everything? He needs an actual team to help him get things done at a quicker pace. The amount of times we had to move our cars off of the car lifts due to "maintenance of the car lifts" was absolutely insane. I mean literally there was a period when we had to do it multiple times a week. We're paying so much extra to park our cars there but randomly out of the blue will be told the next day we can't park there. That doesn't work. And there's NOWHERE in the area to park. On top of that, they're extremely rude in demanding you to move your car out of the spot you pay for. I don't know what would happen if you were on vacation and they went through one of their insanely last-minute "everyone magically move your car today or we will tow you" spells. The car lifts are also extremely dangerous and need to be gotten rid of altogether. I have injured myself at least three times by slamming my head on the part that juts out where you put your key in. I nearly was hospitalized after one injury because I was bleeding and had a huge gash in my forehead and have a permanent scar from it now. The car lift also completely ripped off my right side mirror and caused so much damage to my car. The complex is lucky there are not numerous lawsuits against them because of the car lifts alone. When the car lifts break, your car is stuck there.. sometimes your car is stuck there for days and you're forced to uber to and from work. And then you ask if the complex is going to pay for at least ONE uber that you have to take since you can't access your car, and you're given a big fat "NOPE." Shocker. The laundry room is always a pigsty and you're lucky if one washer and dryer is even working. And if one is working, it's sure to be filled with heaps of dust, lint, and thick wads of disgusting hair. The complex does absolutely nothing for you if you have a complaint about anything, especially a noise complaint. Our neighbors' dogs would bark all day and all night. I worked from home and it became absolutely unbearable and is another reason out of the million that I had to leave this horrific complex. Every time I would take videos and send them to management, I was told it is being taken care of, all while the problem just kept persisting and getting worse and worse. I kept complaining and asking them to address the issue and eventually management just gave up and would stop responding to me or they would say "just call the police." It was obvious they never even tried to rectify the issue. They are CONSTANTLY turning off your water with little to no notice. They are CONSTANTLY making you move your car for an entire day from the parking spot you pay an arm and a leg for. They are CONSTANTLY inconveniencing you at what's supposed to be your home. Our AC broke for weeks on end but not that it wouldn't turn on.. it wouldn't TURN OFF. This was in the winter when it was freezing cold and we just wanted it to turn off but it was broken and it stayed on. After numerous maintenance requests and complaints, after at least a WEEK they finally fixed it. Our utility bill was through the roof for our AC unit being on 24-7 for a week. We asked if the complex could reimburse us for the inconvenience and we basically had to show all of this crazy proof that what we were saying happened even though they were communicating with us in realtime and knew exactly what was going on. Once we did provide evidence, it wasn't good enough and we just keep going round and round. They were questioning the validity of the documents the City of Anaheim gave to us. The staff is never, ever on your side about anything. There's no sense of wanting to help you, being accommodating, understanding you. They actively try to work against you and literally only make your life miserable. So unprofessional and SO demeaning. I still haven't gotten my security deposit back but can't even stomach walking onto that property ever again in my life. I'm sure there'd be some excuse as to why that hasn't happened yet either. The "security" might as well be in his pajamas laying on a bed and sleeping. Does absolutely nothing and just sits on his phone. I can't list all of the reasons for my move out because there are so many. This complex is an absolute sinking ship, and I pity anyone that stays here another day. Worst living experience I have ever had in my entire life and so beyond grateful to be gone. This place is completely beyond repair and has gone down the tube forever. read more

I recently visited this location in search for my new home. I had the pleasure of meeting Luigi whomst was very professional and answered all my questions in detail and had good positive energy. I appreciated the snacks and drinks Luigi offered during my visit.He proceeded to give me a very pleasant tour around the property and showed me the units available. He was very patient with me and allowed to me roam around without feeling rushed. The property grounds were very clean and seemed well kept. For the most part it seems very calm and peaceful. This is my dream home and I would definitely recommend my family and friends to lease at Villa Serrano apartments. read more

I've lived here for many years in two different units. This is an excellent place to live. The only problem area is the parking layout, which only has one way in and out, but that is a fault of the building design and not the property owners. And they do their best to provide ample parking by allowing for car lift rentals. The rest is great! The maintenance team is professional, friendly, and they really go the extra mile to help out the tenants. They've come by for things that I didn't realize I should have called the heating company for even though they didn't have to. They are clean and get things fixed quickly. All the staff is friendly and do their best to help resolve whatever issue you may have. It's been a pleasure living here. read more

my sister and i lived here for a little over a year and a half and it was well worth it. we had bug issues but the apartment was quick to fix it right away. We love and when i say love i mean LOVE anayeli. Idk if she still works here but regardless shout out to her. i cant even begin to explain what she did for us here, an angel in disguise to say the least! only bad part was my sisters car got towed a couple months to moving here due to miscommunication about the future residence parking. another thing is also how inpatient people are when it comes to that! residents can even go ahead as to yell at you for parking there before them but i have tough skin so i could careless. overall 10/10 i am very sad because my sis and i have to leave but if i could stay here longer i lowkey would! they should make affordable student housing cause that would eat. read more

UPDATE: Parking for guest is really difficult. Let me rephrase that, "green open parking spaces" or unassigned parking spaces not really labeled as "guest parking". Supposedly we have "assigned or permit parking" and the rest are "green open parking spaces". Well, majority of the time these "green open parking space" are being used as second parking for some of the residents because they don't want to pay the price for a second parking. Not only that, the person in the office named Becky was extremely rude and unprofessional when I asked about their "parking rules" see attached image. ALSO, apparently soliciting is allowed in the complex. It felt so intrusive and a little concerning to have a stranger walk and follow you from your car to your apartment door asking for money. Left a voicemail to the office yesterday and I got an email response today. I thought it was about my concern but nope, instead the email was telling me that they will send my package back to shipper because it was in the office for two days and it's taking up space. Well, that's news to me, they didn't even notify me that it was there to begin with. Regardless, PRIORITIES right?! Their office aesthetics is more important than your safety or concern about strangers roaming around in your supposedly gated complex. I really can't wait for my lease to end. No wonder this place never takes down that "now leasing" sign in the front. They won't be able to keep residents the way they are managing things. read more

I would never recommend anybody to rent with SERRANO. I had the worst experience living there They decided to spraytent the entire aptmts without enough notice. They disconnected water with no notice when my wife was taking a shower. They are selling parking to tenant at a very high rate. No visitors parking at all. We had cockroaches living with us. This place really knows how to catch someone's eye with its curb appeal. Each time I've come to view an apartment here the managers have always been outstanding with their service! Today, the manager Steven helped my sister & I. The viewing of the apartment went great, like always. When we got back to his office to talk, I asked if the company that owns this property has any near by properties? He said yes of course! He pulled up on the computer every apartment complex that the company owns in the area and printed out a list for us with contact information to each place. My wife and I have been living here for about of a year. I'm not going to say that this community is perfect. No community is. Yes, the parking is rough and the community can be loud with construction and little kids playing. The way I see it, I have looked into many apartment communities and many reviews on Yelp and the concerns/complaints I see the most is not enough parking, too many bugs, and bad management. No complex seems to have an amazing parking situation. This complex is no different but it is not impossible. There has been a lot of construction as of late but I know it's to better the community and we will be better for it in the future. Yes, the kids play in the evening and it can get loud throughout the entire complex but it's quiet at night and my wife and I can sleep peacefully. I count that as a win. We have lived in two different units in the same complex, and we have had not had one bug problem. Maybe a rare spider here and there but that's it. My wife HATES bugs so it has been a dream not having to deal with that. Recently, There was a manager change and our new manager, Steven, is amazing. With our past manager, our concerns were dismissed and not taken seriously. With our new manager, Steven, every concern that my wife and I have brought to his attention has been handled quickly and professionally. Just as good as the new manager is the amazing maintenance staff here at Villa Serrano. Juan and Alex are fantastic. My wife and I were switching units and the guys let us use their dolly to move stuff. They were even nice enough to help me move some of our bigger furniture without me asking. It was extremely helpful and as much as I tried to express my gratitude, I don't feel like they will truly know how grateful I really am for their willingness to help my wife and me when we had no one else to help us. They are true class acts and Villa Serrano and AMC are lucky to have such a great staff at this complex. In conclusion, Even though the community has some problems and isn't perfect, We feel safe, the apartments are really nice for the price, location is great for where we work but more important than all of those things is that we feel taken care of. read more

I've been living at Villa Serrano about a month now and I would have to say by far it is one of the nicest apartments I've lived in. I have a 2bdrm 1 bath. It's affordable and spacious. Very nice quiet neighbors haven't had any problems. Maintenance people are very nice as well. I had some minor issues that needed to be attended to in my apartment by maintenance and I am please to say the apartment was very on to of things. They acted quickly. The stackable car lift works great for me. All in all villa Serrano is a great place to live. read more

Nothing about applying to these apartments was gratifying. We wanted to move here so bad because it's really hard to find a good place. When we first talked to The management team there, it was through a video type call to see the apartment. The manager had asked my wife how much i made and my wife told her. We had asked every question that needed to be asked before applying and had told the manager that I had only been at my current job for 4 months. They knew about this before we even sent in the application. We applied, then after a few days of no call, Anayeli the head manager of the location told my wife we didn't get accepted because i don't make enough money. So i called Anayeli and explained that we do make enough money, eventually she tells me that we do meet the criteria for income, and tells me that we didn't get accepted because i haven't been at my job for longer than a year. She sends my wife the rental criteria for applying and nowhere in there does it say that you need to be at your job longer than 4 months. I called corporate and the lady i spoke with told me the head of that area would give me a call within 48 hours. It's been a week and no call. While waiting for the call we tried other neighborhoods and The Lincoln on Grand gave us a call back. I spoke to Terry, he was super nice and we talked about seeing the property that weekend, but then he told me the property was owned by AMC, which is the same owner of villa Serrano. So we told him about our experience with villa Serrano and he told us he's never heard of that policy. So i called Anayeli back and told her I spoke to Terry, and she said she would call him. She later calls me and tells me that she spoke to Terry and that it is atleast one year at a job. So now she's either calling Terry a liar or she never called him. I asked Anayeli if i could get copies of the legal documents that my wife and I had signed and she said yes I'll email them to you if i can. Never got an email, never got a call back. My wife checked for the same apartment and of course they've already moved someone in. This is the shadiest establishment I have ever had to deal with. They not only wasted our time, but took our application money knowing that we wouldn't get approved. The only reason I have only been at my current job for 4 months is because i lost my other job due to Covid. Which I'm sure a lot of people are in the same situation. They didn't even make an effort to help us get an apartment, just told us to apply in October when i hit one year at my job. read more

Not much to say for this one, I am writing based on a observation on a leasing tour not from living there. Good: granite countertops, spacious, nice lady in the leasing center, nice painting on the outside. Not so good: limited parking ( an extra stackable -and scary/ inconvenient looking- space available for an additional $95.00 a month) the only bathroom is in the bedroom so you have to open the bedroom door and wake up your partner every time you open it if one of the two is as keep and the other one is up. read more

I had a conflict with heidi Cervantes the manger. she was very rude and disrespectful to me just because i parked 5 mins before closing time in the future resident parking. Their is never parking if you want a parking spot be sure to pay 70-100$$. Or wait the whole day until u leave.
