These are two fully capable women who have handled their finances for years, yet they were treated as if they were incompetent. The tone was dismissive, patronizing, and frankly humiliating. It wasn't until I left work and came in myself--calm, direct, and simply insisting the account be opened--that anything actually moved forward. Only then did Chris suddenly become able to do the job he should have done from the start. The whole experience felt disrespectful and unnecessary. Steve and his team never gave up to successfully secure a loan for us. They did not just do the minimum required, they went above and beyond. We had some credit score issues but my income and debt to income were solid. I went from one broker to another who said they could get it done for me only to end up wasting time and money. Most of these guys use the same system and the mortgage business has reduced all of us borrowers to just numbers. They put your FICO score into the system and it's either a yes or a no. There is no expertise to this industry it seems. I came across Great American and Steve and he seemed to have a different approach. I presented my situation to him and after some analysis he stated he could get it done. Fortunately, 5 weeks later I have a closed loan through Great American. I am sure it takes years of experience and due diligence making the connections to be successful in this business and Steve has certainly done that. I highly recommend him to anyone who is looking to get a mortgage loan.
