Nightmare. Staff made multiple body shaming comments to me on numerous occasions. Dr. Weissman is rude and unprofessional. Barely spends 5 minutes actually examining you. Constantly tries to upset you for expensive unneeded add-ons. Go somewhere else. read more

I felt like I was duped after coming into this building. After being told I urgently needed to have expensive work done on several teeth, I sought out another dentist for a second opinion. And then a third. Both of the other dentists said that there was minimal work that needed to be done on my teeth, and highlighted things that were not even mentioned in my first visit to Weissman. After forking out several hundred dollars to Dr Weissman, I am happy to say I have found a much better dentist elsewhere. read more

This is by far the best dental practice that I have been. When I first arrived 8 years ago, I was a mess. The staff did I fantastic job, taking care of several major problems. Repeatedly had the worst experience here despite giving it a few tries so had to switch dentists. 1 - Several of my fillings I had done here popped off within 6 months + I had to have them redone by another dentist. 2 - Dr. Weissman trains her receptionists to be hyper-aggressive in calling you repeatedly to try to get you to come in for appointments despite you telling them you will not be scheduling anything for awhile + that YOU will call them in a few months when you are ready. I nicely asked them to stop several times, and they would call a few days or a week later and each time I asked them to please stop and that I would call them when I was ready. They kept it up for months until I finally told them I had switched dentists + they better stop calling me. 3 - Dr. Weissman told me I was going to need a root canal. It wasn't going to be covered by my insurance + was very expensive, so I told her I would be opting to not do it with her and would go do it in my parents' home country, where the dental work is actually quite good and much more affordable. She then went on some rant about that place being a "third world country" despite them having a reputation in Europe as being a place for good, affordable dental work and my family having traveled there often to get things done that are too expensive or not covered in the US. Even people in other European countries go there. It was extremely rude, insulting and just gross that she would rather have me pay her a ton out of pocket than get cared for in a place I have gone before. 4 - Piggybacking on #3 with the suggested root canal issue, I went to a new dentist in Portland right after all the awful experiences in Weissman dental and they told me that I did not need a root canal at all + the area she claimed needed it wasn't anywhere near as bad as she made it sound. It's been 2 years and I still don't need that root canal and my new dentist is kind and amazing. read more

When I moved up to Portland this was the dentist my insurance company recommended. The service was great, front office fantastic. The problem was that Dr Weismann told me I had multiple cavities, tooth decay, etc. Mind you I had gone to my previous dentist before this and everything was fine. Things just didn't seem to add up.... Now - 6 months later, I visited a different dentist in Beaverton and he thoroughly looked into my mouth, went over x-rays with me etc. and low and behold, my mouth is PERFECTLY FINE. I didn't need anything that Dr Weismann was recommending me. Beware. Do your research. and if anything seems off go somewhere else. read more

First off let me say I am 32 years old and I am scared of the dentist l. Dr Weismann can tell that I had previous dental trauma and can tell that I was anxious, tense, and scared. She made my experience so comfortable and relaxing where she explained everything to me and gave me constant reassurance. Dr Weissman is extremely educated and experienced and knows exactly what to do. The dental hygienist Lina was amazing and very knowledgeable. You can tell she loves her job as is passionate and educates you with such enthusiasm. read more

This place told me I had over 9 cavities, and seeing as though I never had a cavity in my life; I thought it was bizarre and false. I had a second dentist look at my teeth, and he confirmed that there were no cavities. These people are liars. read more

This has been hell. From my totally botched procedure to fix a food trap all the way to the botched overcharging and billing fiasco, this has all been the least professional and upsetting experience. I have been trying to email them, and their entire website and email system is down. This place cannot stay in business. Client care and billing should be two areas a medical practice never slips up on and as a new patient I'm baffled at how terrible everything has gone. read more

I've had major work done in this office by both Dr Weissman and Wasserman. Always received excellent care and had exceptional work done. Lyndsay my dental assistant is fantastic and Zek at the front desk is amazing and always a pleasure to see and has great follow up. I would highly recommend this office. read more

- I waited in the chair for a flipper adjustment for 30 minutes. I had to leave to feed the meter outside for something that took 5 minutes. -Dr Weissman is not the most friendly dentist I've had either. Her demeanor is frank and no frills. She tried to disguise herself on the phone at one point and asked me why I wasn't satisfied with their service. I felt this was disingenuous and unprofessional. - I was charged $350 for something they told me would be covered by insurance. - My flipper has fallen apart, thanks for the $700 + work, now I have to go somewhere else to have this fixed. Both the dental hygienists are very good at that they do. If you have a history of dental trauma or pain they will switch to less painful methods or even numb you up for the cleaning. Dr. Weissman is very professional and full of specific advice for how to best care for teeth and is willing to work with patients who have panic attacks at the dentist. read more

Dr Wasserman was very thoughtful, funny & Professional. He has excellent attention to detail & was careful to keep aware of my comfort. He's great about explaining procedures and options fir treatment as well. The staff is great here! Very supportive, timely and friendly! Much better than Sandy Dental! She misdiagnosed areas of teeth considered cavities by her but not by second and third opinion. ...also put a cap on that popped off then she asked me what i did!!! And put on a crown type that she later asked why ... I trusted her medical opinion and was disturbed she later had concern. read more

Be very cautious if using this dentist. I went here a while ago, and was told that I had multiple cavities. My insurance changed at that time, so I ended up going to another dentist, who then told me my teeth were perfectly fine, no cavities at all. Am very impressed with everyone in this office. I am starting some treatment and am really happy with the evaluation and conscientiousness of Dr. Weissman and the assistant, receptionist and dental assistant. Dr. Weissman even called me at night to see how I was feeling after the first treatment visit. I did buy the toothbrush that was pricey and really love the results I am getting. I am impressed that this office even takes my medicaire dental insurance. I have a copay but it seems reasonable. Some dentists won't even treat you with this insurance. I did need a root canal and was able to get it done the next morning with Dr. Edwards in the same building and I was very impressed with his pain free approach. read more

Dr. Weissman's dental practice has changed my life and my overall health for the better. A few years ago, she took out most of the aging metal fillings and crowns in my mouth and replaced them with beautiful porcelain. I just moved back to town after three years and saw her today. It was like I'd never left. She is caring, professional, and funny, but most importantly, doesn't get annoyed by my endless stream of questions. I've had a lot of dental work in my life and can easily say hands down Dr. Weissman is the best. I look forward to having her as my dentist for as long as possible. If I could give this place less than one star I would. I called this office to schedule an appointment for a consultation. The man who answered was very rude and hung up the phone on me. So, I will not be giving this dentist my business because of how that receptionist treated me. Would not recommend going here if the receptionist can't even be nice to their customers! Dr. Weissman has been my dentist for 5 years now. Early on she did a beautiful job getting me caught up on some much-needed dental work after years of not having adequate dental insurance. One time I was having a TMJ emergency and she helped get me in right away w/ a TMJ specialist colleague of hers, which was a huge relief (and partly a benefit of being housed in a building w/ many dental professionals). By this point she's even "converted" me to flossing and other practices (electric toothbrush etc.) that have kept the cavities at bay! I appreciate the interest she and her staff take in their work, it makes the visits more educational and enjoyable. Highly recommended. read more

Worst experience at a dental office ever! The dentist was more concerned with pushing sales on me than anything else. She was also very condescending. If you like the feeling of being on a car lot, then this is the place for you. Not to mention her assistant Raena is the rudest person I have met at a dental office, she is not a people person at all. My husband and I are both patients of Dr. Weissman and have been soo happy with our experiences. She is knowledgeable, reliable and provides real feedback that helps you with your overall oral heath. Shots are the worst part of any dental procedure and I have never had a dentist who was so precise and gentle- it almost doesn't even feel like anything at all! In late June 2013, I saw Dr. Weissman about a sleep apnea solution other than a CPAP. Her discussion with me about dental issues prompted me to return to have a crown and fillings done. While I have had a lot of dental work done over the years, I have never met anyone who was as passionate about dental health as Dr. Weissman and her assistant. These caring people are on a mission to educate their patients on good dental practices. Also, Dr. Weissman used this little mouth camera to show me problems around my old crown. (Although I'd had my teeth cleaned the month before at the office of my previous dentist, this problem had not been shown to me.) In brief, I very impressed! To give credit where it's due, let me add that the staff is very nice and very professional. read more

Sheryl identified a lot of work for insurance company to pay for, much more than I anticipated. She explained treatments with wild gesticulations, hypodermic needle and sharp instruments in hand, this is dangerous in the close quarters of a dentist office. I only got stuck once though with a sharp dentisty tool. Unfortunately I returned because the work she had done previously was causing discomfort. Sheryl corrected what was causing discomfort, but diagnosed a root canal was likely needed on the tooth. She also charged my insurance for the visit in which she did no procedures except to correct the previous work. Sheryl said she would not charge the insurance company for it, but a month later the claim appeared in the mail. Now I not only may have to deal with a root canal, but I get to sort through the insurance mess too. Avoid this dentist, there are plenty of others in Portland. read more

I have tried to maintain good dental care and have always made an effort to go to first-rate dentists in the San Francisco Bay area and elsewhere before coming to Portland. And I have had crowns, root canals, fillings, etc. in a variety of settings. But Dr. Weissman is, by far, the best dentist that I have ever had. She runs a totally up-do-date office with the latest equipment and a superb staff. Dr. Weissman herself is meticulous with every aspect of treatment. I have been her patient for about a year and I believe that my teeth and my mouth are in better shape now than ever before. I can recommend Dr. Weissman without any reservations. I've been seeing Dr. Weissman for about a year now and it's been one of the better dental experiences. I've had bad experiences in the past, but everyone at Dr. Weissman's office does a good job putting me at ease. I've had to have some older issues addressed and Weissman's demeanor and expertise finally convinced me to stop procrastinating and have the work done. I'm glad that I had the work finally completed and that Dr. Weissman was there to manage all the pieces. I'll continue to call Dr. Weissman my dentist and recommend others to do so. read more
