Our estimated wait time was three hours, but since we opted to wait, the job was done in under an hour! I called Friday for an update, and he said I was next in line and to not call back as he would call me as soon as the diagnostic was done. I stressed that I needed my car that day as I know they're closed on the weekend. He never called that Friday, so I left a voicemail to call me ASAP because I needed my car for the weekend. When they opened again Monday, the morning came and went with still no call, so I dropped in. He said he never got my voicemail nor recalls talking on the phone, yet miraculously had an update on my car -- to which I wasn't notified until this drop-in. He proceeded to tell me my coolant pump was leaking and it was entirely empty of coolant when they checked it, so they ordered a new pump. After taking yet another lyft home, I received and read through the mechanic's inspection which said there were NO leaks and the coolant was at a good level. I called back asking for clarity, to which the guy backpedaled on what he said as I gradually corrected him against what was said in the mechanic's notes. He finally admitted he never read the notes. I just wasted a lot of time and Lyft rides due to the bad communication, so I urge people to read the inspection and repeatedly call/drop in if you insist on using this auto shop.

UPDATE REVIEW: The owner of Mr. Transmission called me the next morning after I posted the original…read morereview below. He asked me to consider giving him and his business the opportunity to make it right **HE DID NOT ASK ME TO CHANGE OR DELETE MY REVIEW ** The owner promised his shop would do whatever repairs were necessary to my satisfaction at NO ADDITIONAL COST to me. I took my truck back to Mr. Transmission and they replaced the transmission valve body. After the work was done I test drove my truck with a mechanic. The mechanic noted that the spark plugs were misfiring and should be replaced. Although spark plugs have nothing to do with the transmission warranty, the owner said he would replace all the spark plugs at no cost to me per his promise. Now my truck is shifting without issue and acceleration is more responsive. **I have voluntarily updated this review because the owner has integrity. He made a promise that the work his shop performed would be done to my satisfaction and stood by that promise.** My F150 had gear shifting issues and I went to Mr. Transmission for a diagnostic in May. The results: I needed a new tran. The cost: $5k rebuild, $6,500 new. I went with the rebuild. 10 days later I picked up my truck and a bill for $6,600. I asked why the rebuild cost as much as the new tran and was told "because we used new parts so basically it's new." I'D BEEN SCAMMED. My truck drove better...until it didn't. 1k miles later it made a terrible noise, shuttering and no acceleration after that it had the same gear slippage issues that it had before the "new" transmission. Although the tran has a 12mo/12k warranty, after reading the other reviews from people who have had an unfortunately similar experience with shoddy repairs and price gouging, I won't go back to Mr. Transmission to be SCAMMED again.

I told them the symptoms of what the whole rear-end assembly was doing and how it sounded. They told me it was probably the clutches in the rear-end assembly. They had the vehicle a few weeks. When I picked it up, I noticed they had fixed the problem -- no more clunk clunk clunk as I made right-hand turns. I paid them over $3,000 for this service. But now, I noticed when going down the road, there was this NEW whining sound. I had a friend of mine drive it. He had loads of experience in working on rear-end assemblies with his own drag-race Corvette. He told me unequivocally, "They did not get the rear-end shims aligned properly -- that's why you're getting this whine. Take it back to them and have them fix it. It's clearly their fault. It never ever made this noise before and now, coming out of their shop, it whines. It's their issue. They need to make it right." I took the vehicle back to them, explained the whole situation and they told me, "We're going to have to tear it apart and see." I informed them that I should not have to pay for this since it was their problem. They informed me that they were going to do no such thing ... that I would be paying AGAIN for them to correct THEIR mistake. My high-dollar vintage Stingray was not worth having this shop mess it up. So, I took it to a rear-end specialist in Springfield. He took pictures and told me, "Those guys at Mr. Transmission did not do you right. They put the shims in that were not aligned." So, I paid this shop another $1,600 to fix Mr. Transmission's mistake ... and the car has run like a dream since. Businesses make mistakes. I get that. But not "owning up" to your own mistake and being obstinate in making it "right" financially for me was just flat out W R O N G by most people's measure.

DO NOT TAKE YOUR CAR HERE. THEY DONT CONTACT CUSTOMERS TO MAKE THINGS RIGHT EITHER AFTER THEY WRONG…read moreYOU. I took my car here 8 months ago when my car wouldn't start. Looking back my first thought should've been to change the battery first. However the mechanic spot said the battery was fine and assured me it was the gas pump even though they checked the gas pump months prior and got a piece replaced then. They finished servicing my car then gave it back. A week after my car stopped again. Got a locksmith to jumpstart it then got a new battery and the car finally started running. Fast forward to now I've been driving a lot and realizing the same symptoms as before when I took my car there are starting to occur again showing that I need a new battery such as, faulty gas reading, not reading key fob, etc. Im sure the car will stop running if I don't change the battery soon. These were the reason the Mechanic Spot decided to change my gas pump instead of telling me to get a new battery. They pretty much extorted me out of 1000 dollars on parts my car didn't need, it just needed a new battery. They lied about car repairs that I didn't need and didn't solve the actual problem. Then held my car, giving me the wrong time for final pickup causing me to miss work and money I needed at the time. I tell this story to say this. THE REPAIR SHOP ON DICKERSON ROAD THAT GOES BY "THE MECHANIC SPOT" IS THE WORST PLACE POSSIBLE TO TAKE YOUR CAR TO. UNEQUIVOCALLY. TRUST ME.

So I called around and landed on this gem of an establishment. I spoke with Wilson on the phone for a bit telling him what was going on with my truck. After picking up my truck from the dealership (the codes were cleared and it was driving fine) I brought it to the Transmission Masters. They looked it over, plugged into the computer and test drove it. Just like I said, nothing was appearing to be wrong while in there so they couldn't tell me anything except keep an eye on it and bring it back if it happens again. This wonderful company charged me $0 vs the dealership charging me $130 for a missed diagnosis. All of the conversations I had with them both over the phone and in person made me trust there abilities to trouble shoot problems, fix vehicles properly and communicate in a professional way like they are treating you as if you were family. I hope I don't have any further transmission problems with my Tundra, if I do though Transmission Masters will be the ones to earn my business. Larry- Hendersonville TN Moral of the story: don't ever change you transmission fluid, I am learning this the hard way.
