Very Honest Business! I thought the clutch was going out on my 2012 Mustang GT and asked them to…read morelook at it and to replace the clutch. They stated that the repair would cost around $1200 and they would look at it first and call me. I received a call about an hour later and they told me that I was just low on break fluid and that was causing my clutch peddle to not engage properly. They filled it up and said No Charge and it was ready to pick up! They could have just put in a new clutch and I would have never known the difference! I will recommend this shop to everyone that will listen. They also rebuilt the transmission in my sons 1967 Suburban and did a great job at a reasonable price! Thank you for your honesty and great customer service! Andy W.

So I called around and landed on this gem of an establishment. I spoke with Wilson on the phone for a bit telling him what was going on with my truck. After picking up my truck from the dealership (the codes were cleared and it was driving fine) I brought it to the Transmission Masters. They looked it over, plugged into the computer and test drove it. Just like I said, nothing was appearing to be wrong while in there so they couldn't tell me anything except keep an eye on it and bring it back if it happens again. This wonderful company charged me $0 vs the dealership charging me $130 for a missed diagnosis. All of the conversations I had with them both over the phone and in person made me trust there abilities to trouble shoot problems, fix vehicles properly and communicate in a professional way like they are treating you as if you were family. I hope I don't have any further transmission problems with my Tundra, if I do though Transmission Masters will be the ones to earn my business. Larry- Hendersonville TN Moral of the story: don't ever change you transmission fluid, I am learning this the hard way.

In the fall of 2024, I took my vintage 1969 '427 Corvette Stingray to Mr. Transmission on Gallatin…read morePike in Madison, TN. I told them the symptoms of what the whole rear-end assembly was doing and how it sounded. They told me it was probably the clutches in the rear-end assembly. They had the vehicle a few weeks. When I picked it up, I noticed they had fixed the problem -- no more clunk clunk clunk as I made right-hand turns. I paid them over $3,000 for this service. But now, I noticed when going down the road, there was this NEW whining sound. I had a friend of mine drive it. He had loads of experience in working on rear-end assemblies with his own drag-race Corvette. He told me unequivocally, "They did not get the rear-end shims aligned properly -- that's why you're getting this whine. Take it back to them and have them fix it. It's clearly their fault. It never ever made this noise before and now, coming out of their shop, it whines. It's their issue. They need to make it right." I took the vehicle back to them, explained the whole situation and they told me, "We're going to have to tear it apart and see." I informed them that I should not have to pay for this since it was their problem. They informed me that they were going to do no such thing ... that I would be paying AGAIN for them to correct THEIR mistake. My high-dollar vintage Stingray was not worth having this shop mess it up. So, I took it to a rear-end specialist in Springfield. He took pictures and told me, "Those guys at Mr. Transmission did not do you right. They put the shims in that were not aligned." So, I paid this shop another $1,600 to fix Mr. Transmission's mistake ... and the car has run like a dream since. Businesses make mistakes. I get that. But not "owning up" to your own mistake and being obstinate in making it "right" financially for me was just flat out W R O N G by most people's measure.

So I had previously posted a review detailing my very negative experience with this place but there…read morehas been recent information that I've found out regarding the initial "installation" of the FIRST clutch I had them perform, so hence the follow up. To summarize the first install: I had them install a brand new centerforce II clutch kit in my Jeep gladiator with 20k miles on it due to a recall issue. I had already purchased the clutch so they told me they could only warranty their work not the clutch itself which I was fine with. When I got the vehicle back it never shifted correctly and then had to be towed back when the improperly installed slave cylinder slipped out of the clutch fork on me in the middle of a busy intersection. I had to pay for the replacement because of course "it was the parts not their install (even though there's clearly evidence of the slave cylinder being installed wrong) so they forced me to pay them more to fix their improper install. Got vehicle back still didn't want to shift though at least this time they installed the second slave cylinder correctly (this time I checked myself). They refused to even look at it and hung up on me when I was trying to calmly discuss it with them. I did so without cussing at them or raising my voice which took a great amount of self control. I then paid another shop $1200 to look at it and they got things working for about 6mo before the same issues that were present after I got it back from Mr Transmission showed back up. So I eventually saved up enough money (and my grandfather left me a little when he died) to afford to PAY FOR ANOTHER CLUTCH AND SERVICE TO REPLACE IT, which Outlaw Offroad did an EXCELLENT job of. During their replacement they discovered that Mr Transmission had INSTALLED THE CLUTCH DISC BACKWARDS. F@$&ing BACKWARDS! So I guess so much for warranting their work. What a joke. I basically paid these people to make my dream truck barely driveable for a year and then had to pay two more shops to fix their work. I NEVER POST REVIEWS, ever. But these people have earned the time and energy from me to ensure that this doesn't happen to someone else. This has been an utter and complete nightmare and I wish I had the time and money to pursue legal action against these them for their complete and utter incompetence and unwillingness to make things right. Don't spend all my money at once Mr. Transmission. So much for taking pride in your work or any hint of integrity.
