Well it was so delicious I forgot to photo the meat. I love this place and have been here close to 10 times. I did try the noodles and they were amazing. I use to skip it and just get potato salad. I also tried the marinated mushrooms that had lots of flavour too. It was super fun to show of my cooking skills. The waiter was on top of our order too. Always great service. Lunch time is the best time to go. We were seated immediately and it was not too packed. Still had a great crowd.

I'm honestly flabbergasted by the negative reviews here. We had superb service--our servers came around every five minutes to check on us and offer more food. Since it's all-you-can-eat Korean BBQ, they bring out the meats and sides quickly, and you cook them at your table. The food was excellent (and as someone who's half Korean, I can vouch for the quality). The atmosphere was nice, with the doors open for good ventilation, and we definitely left stuffed and satisfied. The only small drawbacks: bottled water comes with a charge, and there's a 4% credit card fee--but if you pay with cash, you get a discount, which is a plus. Highly recommend for anyone who loves Korean food. We'll definitely be coming back!

First time at this spot. I have had Korean BBQ at other spots before. This spot does not have a large selection of meats. Not many sides or veggies to pair with the food. We were a party of 6. Did not set enough utensils for 6. Service was not good. Had to ask for items multiple times before getting it. Super smoky inside. Hood range did not seem to function well. Bathrooms were unsanitary. There was water all over in the female bathroom. It looked like their toilets were leaking. Toilets were not flushed. No seat covers. Food was okay. The spicy meats were not spicy. The tofu soup was spicy even though it was not labeled as spicy. I did not try it but my spouse got it and has a pretty high tolerance for spice. We tried almost all the meats except for the pork bellies and the spicy pork bulgogi, and seafoods. The kids liked the LA marinated short ribs the most. My daughter ordered shaved ice and asked about how big a small is compared to the large. Waitress said it's small and used her hands to show an approximate size which was an individual size. The shaved ice was an 8 inch bowl which was enough to share with the whole family. If my daughter had known it was that big, she wouldn't have ordered it. Ice cream macarons were also sold but not on the menu. They charge a 4% processing fee for debit and credit card. Will not be coming back to this spot.

We are new to Korean BBQ and found this place quite pleasant. Let's take this step by step discussing in detail. Salad bar area: the only items I grabbed were fresh onions, zucchini and garlic to grill with the meat, the cucumbers (which were super salty and I am a heavy handed salt user) and the cold noodle dish which was ok. I regret not going back and trying the other stuff. My daughter loved the kimchi! The meat portions were very generous in comparison to other places I have been to. Other Korean BBQ restaurant's that we have been to only had two flavored meat options. This place served the most seasoned meat selection that we have seen. We tried all meats on the lunch menu and the squid was very fresh tasting. My only complaint was I am a spicy person and there was no option to add spice other than jalapeño, some sort of chile oil or sriracha would have been delicious. It was definitely my fault for not asking for any of it is something they do have. Other than that everything tasted great. SMALL PORTIONS ARE AN OPTION... The "sauce plate": the white sesame oil had a really good flavor and it's my favorite thing to add to rice w salt and pepper. The other liquid was slightly sweet and went really well with some of the unflavored meats! Silken egg was super just a beautifully lucious texture and it was really enjoyed. At home I dress it up a little more, but this was good. Tofu soup: I had one piece of tofu in my tofu soup and about a half cup of mushrooms. I wish there was a little more balance, but other wise it was good. Service: We had a young female server who was very attentive, explained everything well, and was prompt with items needed. Her service was well appreciated. Grill itself: I asked to turn the heat up and the server promptly did. Our grills were replaced often and without us asking her to. Cleanliness: the restaurant was very clean. WOULD WE RETURN? Absolutely!!

This was our first time at this particular restaurant and we were not disappointed. At first we weren't sure how this worked but the server was very helpful and we caught on fast. The spot wasn't empty but wasn't overcrowded. Overall we really enjoyed ourselves

As good as it can be for Fresno! The inside is generally pretty clean and the service is pretty good every time I go. They have separate lunch and dinner items + prices. However, on the weekends, you just pay the dinner price and have access to the dinner items. $33 per person. It is important to keep in mind that you also have to pay for drinks, even if it's water! They only provide bottles of water, so you do have to pay a $1 for water with no free refills which is a bummer. They have a variety of banchan (side dishes) they offer (i.e. radish kimichi, cabbage kimchi, cucumber kimchi, japchae, and korean potato salad, etc.) however, they do come in small styrofoam cups. While they are small, they are unlimited and the servers are also willing to bring extra! Additionally, they offer sides such as: tofu soup, steamed egg, and steamed rice! All of which are unlimited as well! Their tofu soup is literally to die for. I dream about that soup. It's the perfect spice level for me and is a great pairing for the meal. I easily put away two of these during my Shila outings. They also provide a complimentary pajeon at the start of the meal which is yummy. You can also get extra of those if you ask nicely. As for the meat, I think they offer a great selection. They have all your kbbq classics! You can pick 3 meats at a time and they check in every so often to ask if you want another round. Note: if you don't finish all your meat, you do have to pay an extra cost! I haven't been to other korean bbq places outside of Fresno, so for me, this place is pretty good! Since this place is pricy, it's even more incentive to eat your weight and food to get your money's worth tbh. I enjoy my time here and it's always such a fun experience when I come here with friends or family.

I was going to give it a 21/2 star but can't seem to be generous enough for this restaurant. One big problem I had was the lack of customer service we got at this restaurant. I had to wave for another waiter to get any type of service. When our waiter did come by to drop off our order taken by the other waiter. Our waiter would remind us that she is busy with her other customers. So are we not part of her customer? Ahaha I don't know how to feel at this point to finish our dinner or walk out ahaha of course we did stay to finish our dinner before heading back a 3 1/2 hr drive home. Let's get to the food part, cheap meat, octopus was the only highlight of the night! I didn't care for their cheap layout of the restaurant so ambiance was a big mehhhh I will never ever return to this restaurant even if I was in town and craving for an AYCE Kbbq. Oh oh and as a Kbbq snob, I have to have my Ssamjang, jalapeño, garlic, and any spicy sauce. Our poor waiter didn't know what Ssamnjang was, I'm beginning to think this is a Chinese owner and not a Korean owner. Please if anyone know the owner pass this along, they need to have better Banchang "side dish" and Ssamjang! TIA!

Nice to try Korean liquor

Ask the Community - Shila Korean BBQ

Are there any takeout options?

When will they be open again? :(

June 1st is what I heard.

What time is the lunch menu active?

They open at 11AM Monday-Sunday. Lunch is served from 11AM -3PM. They are closed from 3 PM to 5 PM.

Can you get sides?

Yes you can

How are the prices?

the cheapest menue is I believe $15 for lunch and $20 for dinner. Then the second menue I believe is $25 and the most expensive menue is $30. Also, on Sundays they charge dinner prices all say.

How can you justify charging a 10 year girl as an adult and how can you justify charging people by height instead of age?

Same thing happened to me with my 9 year old son. He eats no where near as much as an adult. I thought it was ridiculous

During our visit they were out of a lot of items and only had tri-tip, boneless ribs, and pulled pork. I was bummed because I love burnt ends. I went with the boneless ribs, baked beans, and coleslaw. The boneless ribs were delicious! Super tender, juicy, and slathered in a tangy BBQ sauce. My son loved the ribs as well. I tried my wife's tri-tip and it was just ok. The sides were also really good, with my favorites being the coleslaw, beans, and mac n cheese. For me, coleslaw is a staple for any good BBQ spot and Chuck's is spot on. Plus their mac n cheese is super creamy and fave for the whole table. I'd suggest calling in your order, in the morning to make sure that you'll get access to their full meaty menu.

Visiting from out of town…read more I rarely buy bbq because as a Pitmaster the best bbq for me comes from my backyard. Well, you made me feel like I was in my backyard today. This is real deal bbq. Brisket was fantastic and the flat was almost as soft as the point (google brisket flat and point if you don't know). Ribs were a perfect bite off. Tri tip was cooked was cooked to my satisfaction and the flavor was great. I ate all my Cole slaw (trust me that means something) and the beans were fire!! Everything was pleasantly smoky. What's convenient is they have a posted paper at the front to tell you what they ran out of, so you know when you order. They ran out of their 2 cobblers, chicken lollipop (I usually find that they run out of this often) and pork belly today. Took 10 mins to get food after ordering. A good amount of spots to eat inside and outside. We ordered two 2-meat plates + cornbread. All in all, we had their brisket, burnt ends, tri-tip, and ribs + coleslaw, potato salad, Mac & cheese, and beans as sides. We've tried almost everything at earlier visits and burnt ends are still my fav. All meats are tasty with their special rub, as well as their OG bbq sauce on the burnt ends. Ordering is done at an outdoor window--no indoor walk-in--which actually adds to the charm. It's quick, efficient, and keeps things moving. Don't let that fool you though, the quality of the food is top-tier. We tried the brisket sandwich and the Philly cheesesteak, and both were outstanding. The brisket was tender, juicy, and packed with deep, smoky flavor--exactly what you want. The Philly cheesesteak was just as impressive, loaded with meat, perfectly seasoned, and full of bold, rich flavor in every bite. Easily some of the best we've had. Seating is outdoors, and honestly, it's not bad at all--especially in good weather. It's a laid-back vibe where you can just enjoy your food without feeling rushed.
