Hmm I'm not sure what happened. I had been looking forward to finally trying, after waiting so long for it to finally open, I was disappointed that our experience ended up being underwhelming. Friday night just before 7pm I was surprised to see their live waiting list est 1min-11mins. 5mins away from the restaurant I joined the wait list and was almost instantly I got a text saying our table was ready. It was noticeable warm and a bit smoky, ventilation definitely needs some kind of upgrade. I checked in with the host and she asked which menu we wanted to eat from my husband and I usually opt for the full experience so we chose the $49.99 all day menu. She told us that she was going to charge our daughter we asked and she said $25. So a bit taken back noticed that they did charge "Children under 4 1/2 ft $25", thankfully she changed her mind, our kids don't eat much if anything they will pick on the rice and noodles. Our server came to greet us explained the ordering process and took our drink orders. They also provided a large water jug at the table. They do have a time limit of 1hr & 45mins. 5 proteins can be ordered at a time and unlimited sides. They also offered a buffet style on glass noodles, spicy cucumber salad, kimchi, and seaweed salad all were made well. Our order came out all quickly back to back. So a bit disappointed to say the "high quality meat" such as the rib eye steak was hard and chewy. There were a few more meats we ordered that were hard and chewy, just couldn't remember. The chuck eye, pork belly and bulgogi were good. But honestly expected alittle more. We were only there for an hour service was okay. The servers were nice offered to change out our grill a few times but towards the end of service it was a bit slow. We were looking for our server or someone to give us our check. Overall glad to have tried would probably give it sometime before we would return again.

I was looking forward to this place and was happy to see that Fresno was getting a new Kbbq spot. However, was not impressed with it. Hoping they get into the groove of this and it improves. The sides/banchan are self served. Favorites are the house salads, pickled radish wraps, and dumplings. The cucumber kimchi was also good but was missing more of the crunch. The japchae was a miss. It was super chewy and bouncy and lacking flavor. The eggrolls are Chinese style fillings and a bit mushy. The meat options were decent. You order from the tablet up to five different meats and it'll time you out for 10 mins before you can order again. Reminder that the grill is small so if you do order all five meat it may just be sitting at your table before it hits the grill. Least impressed with the matcha pork belly which was just the pork belly dusted with matcha powder. You only get a slight bitter taste from it. Beef brisket was our favorite, especially dipped in the sauces. The corn cheese was also really good. Loved the open spaces of the place that was bright and airy. Service was lacking a lot. We had to track down someone to order more drinks and ask them to change our grill out. No one came to check on the grill or us. Luckily we didn't have to wait and we went for the lunch option so it wasn't too bad.

We'd been looking forward to trying Seoul Meat ever since we saw it being built, and it definitely lived up to the excitement! The all-you-can-eat Korean BBQ was a fun experience, and cooking the meat right at the table made it even more enjoyable. We chose the $39 menu, and it was more than enough food for our family. One thing to know if you've been to other Korean BBQ restaurants: the raw meat at Seoul Meat isn't marinated as heavily as what we've experienced elsewhere. Instead, they provide a variety of dipping sauces. We found that pouring the sauce over the meat and letting it sit for a minute before placing it on the grill added even more flavor. Just something to keep in mind if you're expecting pre-marinated meats. I also liked that the kimchi, rice, and salad are buffet-style, so you can grab more whenever you'd like. One of the best surprises was that my son ate free because they base kids' pricing on height, and my daughter was half off. That made it an even better value for our family. Our server, Jesus, was outstanding. I actually recognized him from another restaurant we'd visited before. He was friendly, attentive, answered all of our questions, and made sure we had everything we needed throughout the meal. A couple of things to know before you go: you have 1 hour and 45 minutes to place your orders, and they do charge for excessive leftover meat, which is understandable. Also, soft drinks come in cans instead of offering free refills, so two Diet Cokes came to about $7, which felt a little pricey. Overall, the food was delicious, the service was excellent, and we left completely full. If you've been thinking about trying Seoul Meat, I highly recommend it!

It's OK. I think they need time to figure things out. The price in my opinion, is NOT worth it. The sides didn't have a lot of variety, and they were out of ALL the hot sides. They didn't bring them out till halfway through the meal. They also ran out of plates for sides, so some people didn't get any at all. The meats were good enough, but the seasoned/marinated meats were so sad...the garlic pork belly was just a THICK slab only seasoned with what looked like garlic salt. Same goes for the "spicy" menu items...it's just looked like the spicy sauce was drizzled on. There were some good options, and I do LOVE their tablet ordering system. Their smoke hoods were not on...so the whole place was so smoky. I think I'll go back in several months when things settle to see if anything changed.

When on a weekday at noon. They have different menus with different offerings. We went with the lunch menu. It's set up nicely in that you order meats and side dishes from a tablet at the table and some other items, like kimchi and dumplings, from a self-serve buffet area. I got a sinking feeling when I went to get some side items and all the trays were empty, but they were replenished eventually. Kimchi items were good, though I do think that a better selection of banchan would be nice. They were some hot sides I would just skip in the future, like the cheese corn and steamed egg. As far as the meats, you can order five every ten minutes. The favorites were the spicy pork and bulgogi. Least favorite was the beef belly. Service was friendly and prompt. They happily changed out the grill two or three times for us. We sat at a table toward the middle and there was no ventilation right above our table. The ceiling is high though. We will definitely be back, though dealing with that parking lot is a battle. And definitely don't plan on doing anything afterwards. Oh, and the music is too bloody loud.

Super excited for a new kbbq spot! They have 3 different types of menus that you can choose from. We opted with the lunch menu which they serve from 11:30-3pm for 29.99. I'm usually pretty basic when it comes to kbbq meats so this served its purpose well for me. Highlight was the spicy chicken bbq. The curry pork was decent but some of the fat on the pork could've been taken off. I also prefer more wet seasoning vs dry so I think the curry pork would've stood out had it been more saucy. Sides are self serve which featured dumplings, white rice, glass noodles, seaweed salad, kimchi and cucumber salad! All were pretty good and definitely kept getting up to grab some more. Also, expect to come out smelling like meat. Even with lowering the temp, smoke still comes out. Odd because some of our fave kbbq spots in Orange County don't do this. We did have to tell them a couple times to switch out the grills, but for the most part they were on it with switching it out in a timely manner. As for the vibe the waitress said they got rid of the AI music so it's a lot better now. I love me a lil house music, groovy tunes while I'm chomping it up so this exceeded my expectations here. Service was good as well. Once you get sat, they have you order from a tablet. You can order 5 meats every 10 minutes. They had multiple people walking around checking to see if we needed anything. It wasn't very busy and we came on a Monday at around 1. They are still new and doing their best but I definitely prefer this spot over Shila. Check it out!:)

Yay! A new Korean BBQ spot here in Fresno!! I've been waiting for this place to open for about two years now and today I was able to try them out during their soft opening! We arrived at 2:30pm on a Tuesday and there was a line outside BUT, that's mainly because they didn't have all the tables open. I'm assuming so they could train their staff which is completely understandable! We waited about 45 minutes in line before getting seated. There were little hiccups with our grill right away causing us to move to a different table but again, completely understandable being that it is their soft opening, we were willing to be patient as they were learning and teaching! The staff were all very friendly and checked up on our table the perfect amount of time without us feeling too bothered or neglected. A little warning, they are cashless so come prepared with your card and there will be a $25 charge for leftover meat. Once you're seated, you get to order through a tablet that's at your table. There are different menu options ranging in price to choose from. You get to pick up to 5 items and then have to wait 10 minutes before putting in your next selection. Everything came to our table at a timely manner. The meat selection had a wide variety to choose from, all tasted great! We mainly focused on beef and chicken. Don't hesitate to get the cheese corn, it's so good with the BBQ! They have a sides bar set up like a buffet filled with kimchi, salads, dumplings, fried chicken and white rice. Make sure you grab some of those items too! Oh, they also give you 3 sauces/seasoning to dip your meat in, one was a matcha based one and to my surprise, it paired so well with the meat! The drink menu is a bit limited, so I do hope they add to it in the future. The only surprise we had was the amount of times our grill had to be replaced due to how charred it kept getting. I'd say it was about 6x which is way more than what I'm used to when having K BBQ. Maybe that's normal for others, though? Also, I'm not too sure if the vents weren't working when we were there, but it constantly got pretty smokey on our grill, be prepared for smoke all up in your face lol Overall, we were very satisfied with our experience. Even with it being a soft opening, I look forward to returning once everything has settled in and I can give my final thoughts. But as of now, I'd say try this place out asap!!

I was able to be seated with in 5 minutes after checking in. There is an outdoor waiting area for you to wait tell you are called it is a little narrow with many people passing by . Once seated our server shared the process of ordering food on the tablet which I personally preferred. There were some meats that required to be asked by a server to order them. After we ordered the selected meats it was a 10 minute cool down period until the next round. Which gave us enough time to go through what we had ordered. The meat quality was higher than I expected. I hope they keep that up even when the hype dies down. I will say I do hope that they do more thinly sliced meats my non-marinated meats. I just rubbed whatever leftover. Sauce was from the other meats. I will say the customer service is pretty good, but we were a bit confused on who our waiter was. Overall, we do wish that on the tablet it did have a section to get refills for water. I do hope they add more Korean side dishes like bbq spots in LA . Overall, I think this is a great experience to have here in Fresno. It is nice to have another Korean barbecue spot here in town that doesn't charge for water. I definitely will pick this spot over the other. I highly recommend just coming here to try it out if you've never had it before. I can't wait to see what else they do in the future. I do hope they allow single party barbecue as I would love to come by myself.

Newly opened KBBQ spot in Fresno. It took 3 attempts before we were able to get in officially (waitlist full, hour long wait, etc.) but once we did, we greatly enjoyed it and came back again today. Enjoyed the sides and meats. Glad Fresno has a higher quality KBBQ spot now. Music, service and food all good. I hope to see them grow as they adjust to running this poppin' new spot.

4.5/5 stars. This place exceeded my expectations. We came during dinner so there was a line to get into the restaurant (4 people ahead of us). It didn't take long to get checked in (less than 5 mins). The host was super friendly and she took our name and let us know it will be 30 mins-1 hour wait and that she would call us when our table was ready. We went next door to Five Below and spent maybe 5-10 minutes in there before heading back to the restaurant. The 4 people ahead of us were already sat and so I went to ask the host if our name was called and she said not yet but they're clearing a table right now. We waited for maybe another 5-10 minutes then she sat us down. In total, we only waited 20 mins max before being seated. Since this was our first time here the host explained the ordering process to us such as ordering from the tablet for all of our food. We could choose 5 meats in each round and there is a 10 minute wait in between ordering a next round of meat (the tablet won't let you order more as it has a timer on it that locks you from ordering). I personally didn't mind waiting the 10 mins. Most of the time we were still cooking and eating our meat and by the time we were ready for our next round, the 10 mins were already up. Most of the side dishes were self serve which I personally like. The side dishes were located at the front of the restaurant which isn't the most convenient place but it was in an area with less foot traffic. The side dishes included lettuce salad, onion salad, cucumber salad, kimchi, purple radish, steam white rice, potstickers, and a stir fry noodle dish (similar to japchae). I tried all of the side dishes except the chicken because they were out. All of the side dishes were tasty. My least favorite was the clear noodles. I expected it to taste like japchae but it didn't. It didn't have much flavor but it was okay. Side dishes that you had to order through the tablet were fresh raw veggies like mushroom, sweet potatoes, onions, zucchini. There were other sides like fries, Cajun fries, cheese fondue, and cheese corn. We ordered the sweet potatoes, zucchini, and Cajun fries. The fries were freshly cut and fried because they tasted similar to in n out fries but taste a little bit better. Sweet potatoes and zucchini tasted great grilled. No complaints there. The food came out super quick! Like within 5 mins of ordering. All the meats and veggies were fresh for grilling. You can tell it's fresh because they have an open kitchen and I saw the workers slicing the meat fresh. I enjoyed most of the meat I ordered which included beef brisket, pork belly, 3 different kinds of steak. The only meat I didn't like because it was a bit chewy was one of their steaks (I can't recall which one). The steak was still fresh but it just wasn't a good cut. We also ordered the tofu soup and that was one of the best tofu soups Ive had!! It was spicy and salty and so comforting to eat and wash down all that bbq. The service was a 5/5! The host, servers, and bussers were all very friendly! They were polite, professional, and fast! They even had a great sense of humor. I really enjoyed their upbeat and positive energy! EXCELLENT service! I 100% would come back and HIGHLY recommend this place! Dare I say this is my #1 top all you can eat Korean BBQ in Fresno!

This place is a good place to get ride of the kbbq craving you're having. We didn't have a set server. I don't think whoever was serving us realized we are their table but it's okay I'm not holding it against them. The meat selection is good. You can order 5 meats every 10 mins and that doesn't include stuff like steamed egg and corn cheese. My favorite was the chuck eye steak and the steamed egg. I wish there were more sides available but the kimchi was super delicious. They don't have the jalapeños, garlic, samjang, and sesame out. You just have to request it. We didn't realize it until halfway through our meal when we heard someone else asking for it. The place itself is open and pretty crowded. They have a section in the middle of the building with all the dirty grills and stuff you'll have to walk by and try not to run into a server. Other than that it's a nice place. We would definitely return to fix our cravings and if they had more sides like rice paper for the meats.

The soup was AMAZING and I was surprised that I liked it so much because I usually don't like tofu. So, when we went this time to dine-in together, I decided to get that soup and my husband got the Oxtail soup (or something like that). As before, the beef tofu soup was DELICIOUS, but I will say that the soups come out piping hot which the server did warn us about. My favorites from the banchan were the kimchi, cucumber and sauce, and the noodles. As for my husband's oxtail soup, we both wished that it had some more salt or umami flavor because it was a little bland. Other than that, the food was still really good and we look forward to coming back, especially during the cold season. The restaurant is smaller than expected but it is very clean and kept up. This is the kind of thing that makes you want to come back just to try something new. Malatang has been such a huge craze in Korea lately. Ever since Seung-il and Minji from Single's Inferno (on Netflix) lol were talking about how much they love it in one of the episodes, I've been dying to try it!! There isn't another place in Fresno doing malatang like this, so seeing Asiana bring that experience here feels exciting. It feels fresh, trendy, and completely different from the usual food options you normally find around town. What makes Asiana's malatang so amazing is that you get to build your own bowl from so many different choices. They have vegetables, noodles, mushrooms, tofu, fish cakes, seafood, meats, and all kinds of toppings, so you can make it exactly how you like it. Every bowl can be completely different depending on your mood, your spice level, and what you are craving that day. It is $15 per pound, which I actually love because you are in control of how much you want! You can make a lighter bowl with more vegetables, go all out with noodles and meat, or mix a little bit of everything. It makes the whole experience feel personal and fun. Mine had a mix of seafood, meat, leafy greens, vegetables, tofu-style pieces, and other toppings, so it felt really hearty, flavorful, and satisfying. My son chose a different combination with more broth, spice, mushrooms, vegetables, and protein, so his bowl had that deep, bold, comforting malatang flavor. The flavor is what really makes it stand out. It has that deep, rich, comforting malatang taste that you just cannot get from regular soup or takeout. The broth is warm, spicy, fragrant, and full of all those amazing spices and seasonings. It is savory, bold, aromatic, a little numbing, and packed with flavor in every bite. Asiana already has so many great authentic Korean dishes, but this new malatang makes the place feel even more exciting. If you have never tried malatang before, this is a perfect place to start! If you already love it, you are going to be so happy they added it!! Also, the restaurant had somewhat of a change since I last did a review (on their other page that was for the store/restaurant) They don't have the store section anymore and made the restaurant bigger w/ more seats! They also have a back wall of the claw machine game lined up, which is popular in South Korea right now. These owners are a great duo! It's not blasted full of flavors but it's perfectly and lightly seasoned. I can taste the light MSG seasoning on this dish. I love it how this plate is not supper oily like any other chinese fried rice. Besides that, there's nothing something special on this dish. If you have young kids and need a quick fix, this plate is not bad. It's not that fatty or oily. RATE : 5/5 SPICY RICE CAKE ($11.99) :: You have to ge this dish! I love their sauce! It's perfectly seasoned! Sweet, salty and spicy. The sauce is thick like they puree pears in it. I'm not sure what is made out of but the text feels like puree pears/apples/potato. The rice cake are perfect cooked! It's soft amd chewy. Very spongy. It goes so well with the sauce. On a note though, the spice level creeps up and could be a bit too spicy. RATE : 5/5 BLACK BEAN SAUCE NOODLE ($13.99) : I originally was looking for Paiks Black Bean Noodles but they closed it down. Im glad that this location have it. The sauce is amazing but i think the noodles are a bit too wet. They couldn't grip onto the noodle much. The whole experience on this dish is a bit disappointing because there not enough sauce and the noodle couldn't grip the sauce so the noodle taste like wet starchy sweet noodles. Besides that, i love the black bean sauce! RATE : 4/5 INTERIOR :: Is a bit out dated with plenty of seatings. Chairs are clean. Tables are well kept but still sticky and smells musty old towels. The bathroom location is located back in the hallway. It's a bit dark and creepy. They do have a few claw machine for activities. RATE : 2/5 SERVICE :: What a sweet couple but be aware that they might miss you. My group and i walked in and seated our self. There's no greeting. We have to flagged someone out from the kitchen. Samething when paying too. That's the difficult part. Their service is horrible but these two couples are really sweet. RATE : 2/5 OVERALL :: There's something really special about finding a quiet little spot like this. It may not be the busiest restaurant in town, but the quality, authenticity, and heart behind the food make it such a memorable place to visit. Definetly one of those hidden gems worth supporting!

You know, coming from years of LA Korean food and then Bay Area Korean food, the Korean food you…read moreget from Korea Mart just doesn't hit. What I mean is that there is something about the Korean food made here that just tastes a bit different than what you'd otherwise get or expect from a more traditional and authentic Korean restaurant. That said, Korea Mart seemed to start off as a Korean mini market, with a small focus on prepared meals. That may have gained some popularity and the owner decided to shift their focus more towards the prepared food and less on the mini mart. The problem is that the prepared food, while focuses on traditional dishes, just doesn't taste traditional. There is something off about the dishes. For example, the Jajamyun's vegetables were very off. It lacked zucchini and the cabbage wasn't enough. The kicker is that the onions weren't even diced. The onions were in big chunks-which actually works sometimes, but made the dish feel lazily and hastily put together. Then, the tubboki was too saucy. Flavor wasn't too bad, but was too saucy. Finally, they refuse to give you an itemized receipt until you finalize payment with a tip? They charge $2 for rice when they don't advertise it anywhere and they ask how many you want without telling you, and rice isn't an extra charge in most Korean restaurants. Just overall pretty disappointed. But then again, Korean restaurant in Fresno was probably a "my bad" decision. Oh well. As for ambiance. It felt like you were eating in the back of a mini mart. Super dark from the outside gave it a weird vibe.

It's dark, almost like a ghost town. There was barely anyone there, and it made me question if I was in the right place. That should've been my first red flag, but I was still hopeful, so I decided to give it a try. The menu looked promising, but the experience quickly went downhill. The meats didn't taste fresh at all. Some cuts were tough, and others had a weird aftertaste, almost like they'd been sitting around too long. For a place that prides itself on BBQ, I expected way better quality. And don't even get me started on the service. It was basically non-existent. The staff didn't seem interested in being there, and we were ignored for long stretches of time. It felt like we were inconveniencing them just by being there. No refills, no asking if we needed anything, no checking in to see how our meal was. For a KBBQ, that's a huge miss. I really wanted to like this place, but it just didn't deliver on the basics, good food and decent service. I won't be coming back anytime soon.

I love the Yaki Udon and usually get it spicy. All their food is always made fresh to order and with lots of love. Service: The service is great! We are always immediately seated and offered drinks within the first few minutes upon entering. Throughout the meal, we weren't checked on. I wish they would put water pitchers on the table for the customers so we wouldn't have to always ask for a water refill. Unfortunately, there have been times where my family and I have gone but it's so busy and we never got refills for waters. Ambiance: Great, cozy, warm atmosphere. They have large flat screen tvs that usually play compilation videos on them. I wish they synced the tvs up to play kdramas or kpop on them instead. Every time I've gone, the tvs are usually turned off or playing funny/meme compilations from YouTube. I think many of their customers would enjoy a Korean show while eating Korean food! Maybe even play some mukbangs, as many young people nowadays enjoy watching those! My family and I are regulars, and we will always be back to support our favorite local Korean restaurant!

This place has been in my regular rotation since they opened and I have never had a bad meal here…read more The concept is a family style hot pot restaurant where you cook your own protein, vegetables or noodles in a flavored brother. You can pick between 1 and 4 different broths per pot. Each table has one cooking stove top, with the larger tables having two. The broths range from vegetarian to mild, to spicy to meat based. Everything is a la carte with the exception of some premade combinations bundling a variety of like items. There's various meat and veggie combos as well as a seafood combo. I always order the veggie combo which comes with a lot that's easily shareable between 4 people. It comes with various greens, mushrooms, cabbage, corn on the cob, cauliflower, and carrots. I don't eat red meat so I stick to their sliced chicken breast or the shrimp balls. My other favorite is the bean curd sticks which is a good meatless protein option. As for broths my two favorite are the Chinese Healthy Herb and the kimchi. I also like their salted crispy chicken appetizer (popcorn chicken). Steamed rice is also a must for me. They have a dipping sauce bar where you can make your own dipping sauce to accompany your hot pot. With the exception of the broth adding flavor, the meats and all the ingredients you add to your hot pot are unseasoned. It includes everything from soy sauce and fish sauce to garlic, fresh chilis, vinegar, and crushed peanuts. Whether you like to keep it simple, mild, or spicy there's a sauce you can create. The ambiance is pretty nice. It used to be a Chinese restaurant years ago and they did keep some of the things the same. They have 3 different TVs inside. The two larger ones on the walls each play a different Kdrama and the one above the register plays Kpop music videos. They do have one larger table that I think accommodates somewhere between 10-12 people (don't quote me on that) and another that can fit 6 or 7 people. Majority of the tables sit 4 and a couple sit 2. Depending what day and time you go, it can get pretty busy and you might have to wait a while. The staff is always friendly and helpful. At the end of the meal they give you orange slices and hard guava candy. Their orange slices are always so good too and a good palette cleanser at the end.

I had to pull items out that seemed like "filler" items that wern't that tasty, seaweed knot and some kind of compacted rice ball. I would of preferred a little more broth could of done without those extra things. The broth btw was very good! I felt my broth and bowl was a better tasting option than the Hai De Pot my friend ordered. Our server was great and checked in often. More people entered for lunch but it was still a quiet atmosphere, which was nice. All in all we liked this place and I recommend it. The service is good, prices are fair and food is pretty tasty.

Discount for cash and 4% charge for credit (there is several signs at the entrance). Does not include alcohol or desert items. For 2 people, each with a soda (free refills), $83 cash or $86 credit (not sure if that included the 4% charge). We arrived little after 5 on a Sat. Was immediately seated with no reservation. There was multiple laminated menus on the table. Looked like each table seated 6, each with a grill and overhead exhaust vent. I could not hear any exhaust vent fans. Noise level was normal for a restaurant this size and a conversation could easily be had with other people at the table. With 2 people, able to order 3 meats at a time. Meats are brought out promptly and soda was refilled frequently. The grill tops were replaced frequently during the meal. The bad. It gets SMOKEY!!!! Not sure what's wrong with their exhaust, but it does not seem to work very well. The floor gets greasy slippery (I was wearing non stick shoes and was able to easily slide on the floor). The overhead exhaust fan... grease constantly dripped from the vent on the grill. They are obviously were not cleaned before that dinner service... we left smelling like we had sat in a bbq smoker. Because of that I would not recommend wearing nice clothes to this place unless you want them to smell like bbq for the next while. The bulguli was amazing!! I would skip on the ny steak. The chicken was surprisingly good. If you have never cooked seafood on a grill like that, you may want to skip the squid and octopus. The pork belly was basically thin sliced bacon. If I returned, I would stick with beef bulguli, spicy pork bulguli, and brisket or spicy bbq chicken. The spicy was not that spicy. Maybe a 2 out of 10. Like jalapeño spicy. The food and service was excellent. The smoke... this makes me rethinking on returning...
