Let's just say I went back to back, I couldn't get enough. I tried a little bit of everything. Top 3 appetizers spicy edamame, pork egg rolls and gyoza (chicken/pork). If you like spicy get the spicy tonkotsu, you can order a regular tonkotsu & add the chili oil to your liking. I personally wasn't a fan of the flavor-pho... the regular pho ‍‍ so good!!! The staff was amazing, I loved all the art painted around the restaurant. The art was painted by their owner & her dad . I will be back with friends.

Food was delicious and freshly made! They seem to get really busy so the wait is a bit long but worth the ramen!

I placed an order today (September 25th) at 3:14 PM from your location at 3747 W Shaw Ave, Fresno. My order included fried tofu. However, when I received the dish, it was not fried nor properly cooked. I called at 4:32 PM to address the issue. The employee who answered said she spoke with the cook, who claimed she never received an order for tofu. This is concerning, as my receipt clearly lists fried tofu. This response felt dishonest and unprofessional. I've never had an issue with your restaurant before, which makes today's experience especially disappointing. I hope this can be addressed so that future customers (and myself, if I return) don't have the same experience.

Amazing customer service!! My boyfriend and I came here because we're foodies and we love anime. The guy serving us was super kind and we yapped about anime the whole time. The place is super cool with their anime murals and the food is amazing!

Anime themed smallish noodle joint run by what looks like a group of young friends. Highly flexible and customizable menu makes it a good place for a mixed group of vegetarians and meat lovers. Start with a base of rice noodles, ramen noodles, spinach vegan ramen noodles or rice. Or select a named dish. Either way, add your preferred toppings. Two negatives. They were out of some items that had to be substituted. Narrow walkways and close tables challenging for big people or wheelchairs. A positive: for takeout, able to order ahead from website then pickup. Can't wait to try more things.

First the Food was Incredible. I got the Tonkatsu Ramen and Chicken Gyoza and they hooked it up super well I've been all through California having Ramen and I've even had it at the first Ramen restaurant in LA, and this place's Ramen is on my top 5! They greeted us at the door and server was awesome too. As for the Ambiance, if you like any Anime or Manga....... You are going to love it. No spoilers but you will be at home and amongst family!!c

It was quite an interesting industrial, unfinished aesthetic. Definitely nostalgic and made me miss my fixed up white Acura Integra..ala 2001. Yea..I'm a girl and yea I use to race. ;) Such a good pit stop on our family's Spring Break road trip to Yosemite. It definitely refueled us for the rest of our journey. Known for its customizable ramen bowls with flavorful broths and a wide variety of toppings, as well as, other menu items like rice bowls, bentos, and dumplings, Tsuchiya Ramen definitely lived up to it's almost 5 star Yelp reviews. The waitress was friendly and the food came out fairly quickly once our order was taken ~ less than 10 mins for sure! I ordered the spicy miso ramen ($17.99) with a sweet corn side (+$1.50) and complimentary topping of the fried garlic. The hakata (thin style noodles) were perfectly cooked, with a lil al dente bit to them. It had all the trimmings that I like ~ green onion, chashu, jammy egg, crunchy wood ear mushrooms, naruto fish cake, marinated bamboo, and nori. The broth was authentic, flavored with such depth. You can really taste the slow-cooked, miso quality in it. I loved the fried garlicky taste too! It was the right level of spice, I didn't even need to add any chili oil, like I usually do. My picky daughter opt'd for the "make your own ramen" option (starting at $12.99) ~ getting the same hakata thin noodle with tonkatsu broth, chashu (+$3.25), fried tofu (+$2.50), and freebie toppings of nori, sesame seeds & fried garlic. My son ordered the OG tonkatsu ramen w/ extra marinated bamboo (+$2) on the side. Lastly, the hubs wanted to eat lighter & healthier, so he opt'd for the teriyaki chicken rice bowl. Everyone loved their meal pick. Dare I say..I even think it ranks better than some of the ramen joints in the OC. Who knew Fresno was poppin' in the foodie dept? Lol A total RxFoodie recommend and I'd return if I'm ever in the area again!

Great tasting ramen!…read more My family and I made this place a pit-stop for dinner on a Sacramento to Los Angeles trip. Our original target was the Fresno location, but due to a GPS entry error, we ended up at their Clovis location! It was a little longer drive than usual, but still well-worth the drive. And besides, we were on a family long weekend break so who cares about distance... Our orders were quickly taken on the counter and we were off to find our table. A lot of places to choose from inside and outside seating was also available. And the place was nicely decorated and well-lit! Feels comfortable to dine inside! The menu was quite expansive. And you even have the choice of minor changes to the regular menu. I ordered an Oxtail Ramen...a first of this kind for me, so I just had to have it. And it passed with flying colors! Weird ingredient...but absolutely tasty! And at a really affordable price range! You just have to try our this place when you're in the area! You will love it!

Good amount of tables and seats. Simple, minimal decor and it was clean, from what I can remember. He got the Shoyu Ramen (#2) and I got the Spicy Miso Ramen (#4). We both agreed the broth wasn't as hot as we'd like and could use just a touch more flavor. Both were okay, but I preferred my broth more. I wish I paid attention to the fact that mine came with THIN noods though... I feel like I would've enjoyed my dish way more with thick noodles. To be honest, I should have done the build-your-own Ramen and selected everything I wanted myself... now I know. You live and you learn. The Wontons were good but we didn't eat much of it, as it came out the same time as the ramen. Once the ramen was served, our main focus was on that and that filled us up! Packed the rest to go. For this being our first time, it wasn't bad but it didn't wow us. If I'm being honest, so far-- the best Ramen we've ever had was in a small little shop we found while in Thailand back in March (yup, Thailand!). Unfair to this rating maybe? But-- every ramen I try will be compared to that now (sorry, it was THAT good). Until next time, which there will be a next time (just unsure how soon that will be)... they get a middle placement.

Whether you're craving sushi, teriyaki, or ramen, they really have something for everyone. The sushi and sashimi are incredibly fresh -- honestly some of the freshest fish we've had at any sushi restaurant. It tastes like the chef went out and caught it that morning. The 14-piece sashimi platter with a couple of rolls was more than enough for two people, and everything was excellent quality. The ramen is also fantastic, but fair warning: the bowls are HUGE, so definitely come hungry. Their garlic edamame is absolutely addictive, and we really enjoyed the poke in the seaweed poke salad, though the dish does lean very heavily on the seaweed, so just keep that in mind before ordering. Being Japanese, my Grandma typically craves Japanese food and only goes to places she enjoys. I wanted her to branch out, so I selected this spot. When we entered, the vibes were a bit off. It was summer in the valley, and it was hot. There was no AC inside, just fans, and we were literally sweating during our entire meal. It was quiet, very dark, and not clean--sticky floors and menu. The service was nice, but not very attentive. Regarding the food, we got two Bento Boxes and one Caterpillar Roll. For the price, the portion was good, but the quality and taste weren't the best. The tempura was really thick, and the shrimp was reminiscent of the frozen Costco shrimp tempura. The sashimi was stringy and of poor quality. The rolls we had were falling apart, and the avocado was mushy and not fresh. Everything we had was subpar at most, which is a shame considering how vast the menu is (lol at their AI pictures though). I wouldn't come back nor recommend what we got. Good Japanese food can be hard to come by in Fresno. I'd skip Shobu Japanese Cuisine due to the food quality and environment. Find them off Blackstone Ave. in the shopping complex with free parking.
