Let's just say I went back to back, I couldn't get enough. I tried a little bit of everything. Top 3 appetizers spicy edamame, pork egg rolls and gyoza (chicken/pork). If you like spicy get the spicy tonkotsu, you can order a regular tonkotsu & add the chili oil to your liking. I personally wasn't a fan of the flavor-pho... the regular pho ‍‍ so good!!! The staff was amazing, I loved all the art painted around the restaurant. The art was painted by their owner & her dad . I will be back with friends.

I just love the look of the place so quaint and cozy very family orientated. Service is good staff friendly. The food always on point, it's been a while hits every time simply delicious.

Food was delicious and freshly made! They seem to get really busy so the wait is a bit long but worth the ramen!

I placed an order today (September 25th) at 3:14 PM from your location at 3747 W Shaw Ave, Fresno. My order included fried tofu. However, when I received the dish, it was not fried nor properly cooked. I called at 4:32 PM to address the issue. The employee who answered said she spoke with the cook, who claimed she never received an order for tofu. This is concerning, as my receipt clearly lists fried tofu. This response felt dishonest and unprofessional. I've never had an issue with your restaurant before, which makes today's experience especially disappointing. I hope this can be addressed so that future customers (and myself, if I return) don't have the same experience.

Amazing customer service!! My boyfriend and I came here because we're foodies and we love anime. The guy serving us was super kind and we yapped about anime the whole time. The place is super cool with their anime murals and the food is amazing!

First the Food was Incredible. I got the Tonkatsu Ramen and Chicken Gyoza and they hooked it up super well I've been all through California having Ramen and I've even had it at the first Ramen restaurant in LA, and this place's Ramen is on my top 5! They greeted us at the door and server was awesome too. As for the Ambiance, if you like any Anime or Manga....... You are going to love it. No spoilers but you will be at home and amongst family!!c

Anime themed smallish noodle joint run by what looks like a group of young friends. Highly flexible and customizable menu makes it a good place for a mixed group of vegetarians and meat lovers. Start with a base of rice noodles, ramen noodles, spinach vegan ramen noodles or rice. Or select a named dish. Either way, add your preferred toppings. Two negatives. They were out of some items that had to be substituted. Narrow walkways and close tables challenging for big people or wheelchairs. A positive: for takeout, able to order ahead from website then pickup. Can't wait to try more things.

Uh, I don't want to be mean, but I feel cheated. $5.50+ for 4 Slices of Charsu, but I got deep fried pork... what?? Deep fried is very very different from Charsu Pork Slices. I mean if y'all don't have the product at least inform the customer ahead before placing the order. Won't be coming back. I was really looking forward to the Pork Charsu in my Ramen. Shame. I know it was slightly busy, but that should not be an excuse. Take out order. Ordered in store.

Spicy tonkatsu broth with brisket and extra egg

A fun little place with all kinds of anime and manga art and inspiration. Even the menu is designed manga style. The waitress was thorough in clarifying our order. The pho and ramen were delivered to us by the chef. The down side was that my ramen broth was a bit salty and they had run out of the pork chashu which meant they substituted it with brisket but it is not the same. I did get an extra egg which was perfectly done, nice and jammy inside.

It was quite an interesting industrial, unfinished aesthetic. Definitely nostalgic and made me miss my fixed up white Acura Integra..ala 2001. Yea..I'm a girl and yea I use to race. ;) Such a good pit stop on our family's Spring Break road trip to Yosemite. It definitely refueled us for the rest of our journey. Known for its customizable ramen bowls with flavorful broths and a wide variety of toppings, as well as, other menu items like rice bowls, bentos, and dumplings, Tsuchiya Ramen definitely lived up to it's almost 5 star Yelp reviews. The waitress was friendly and the food came out fairly quickly once our order was taken ~ less than 10 mins for sure! I ordered the spicy miso ramen ($17.99) with a sweet corn side (+$1.50) and complimentary topping of the fried garlic. The hakata (thin style noodles) were perfectly cooked, with a lil al dente bit to them. It had all the trimmings that I like ~ green onion, chashu, jammy egg, crunchy wood ear mushrooms, naruto fish cake, marinated bamboo, and nori. The broth was authentic, flavored with such depth. You can really taste the slow-cooked, miso quality in it. I loved the fried garlicky taste too! It was the right level of spice, I didn't even need to add any chili oil, like I usually do. My picky daughter opt'd for the "make your own ramen" option (starting at $12.99) ~ getting the same hakata thin noodle with tonkatsu broth, chashu (+$3.25), fried tofu (+$2.50), and freebie toppings of nori, sesame seeds & fried garlic. My son ordered the OG tonkatsu ramen w/ extra marinated bamboo (+$2) on the side. Lastly, the hubs wanted to eat lighter & healthier, so he opt'd for the teriyaki chicken rice bowl. Everyone loved their meal pick. Dare I say..I even think it ranks better than some of the ramen joints in the OC. Who knew Fresno was poppin' in the foodie dept? Lol A total RxFoodie recommend and I'd return if I'm ever in the area again!

We both agreed that the garlic miso was by far the standout -- easily one of the most flavorful broths in town. Rich, savory, and packed with flavor, it's definitely something I'll be craving again. We also tried the gyoza, which was decent, but honestly the garlic miso udon soup stole the show and is probably all I'll order next time. Service was excellent from start to finish. They were quick to answer the phone when we called to check if they were open for the holiday, our food came out fast and piping hot, and the staff checked on us multiple times throughout the meal. Our water glasses were always refilled, which we really appreciated. Overall, a great experience with both delicious food and attentive service. Only got a photo of the tonkatsu below! Wish I got the garlic miso too!

Great tasting ramen!…read more My family and I made this place a pit-stop for dinner on a Sacramento to Los Angeles trip. Our original target was the Fresno location, but due to a GPS entry error, we ended up at their Clovis location! It was a little longer drive than usual, but still well-worth the drive. And besides, we were on a family long weekend break so who cares about distance... Our orders were quickly taken on the counter and we were off to find our table. A lot of places to choose from inside and outside seating was also available. And the place was nicely decorated and well-lit! Feels comfortable to dine inside! The menu was quite expansive. And you even have the choice of minor changes to the regular menu. I ordered an Oxtail Ramen...a first of this kind for me, so I just had to have it. And it passed with flying colors! Weird ingredient...but absolutely tasty! And at a really affordable price range! You just have to try our this place when you're in the area! You will love it!

The first time I tried the tonkotsu ramen as takeout and gave it 2 stars. The noodles were soggy from the start and the broth just didn't hit the depth of flavor I was expecting. It felt like something was missing. This time, I dined in and ordered both the spicy miso ramen and tonkotsu ramen, plus a side of chicken karaage. Eating onsite made a difference right away, the noodles held up and the overall taste of the ramen was significantly better. The spicy miso ramen was good, but I was honestly hoping for a stronger miso punch and a bit more heat. It leaned a little milder than expected, though still enjoyable. The tonkotsu this time was better balanced than my first visit. The chicken karaage was good as well. Crispy, light batter, juicy inside really solid fried chicken. I personally would've liked a squeeze of lemon and maybe some Japanese mayo on the side to elevate it even more, but that's just preference. Overall, I feel like this place redeemed itself on a second visit, especially dining in. I'll need to come back to try more of their specialty ramens.

Whether you're craving sushi, teriyaki, or ramen, they really have something for everyone. The sushi and sashimi are incredibly fresh -- honestly some of the freshest fish we've had at any sushi restaurant. It tastes like the chef went out and caught it that morning. The 14-piece sashimi platter with a couple of rolls was more than enough for two people, and everything was excellent quality. The ramen is also fantastic, but fair warning: the bowls are HUGE, so definitely come hungry. Their garlic edamame is absolutely addictive, and we really enjoyed the poke in the seaweed poke salad, though the dish does lean very heavily on the seaweed, so just keep that in mind before ordering. Cassidy is new to the restaurant and waited on us. an Shewas wonderful -- super friendly, attentive, patient, and just genuinely great service all around. The only downside was the new menu design. So when my son asked us to meet him, his lovely wife and our 3 granddaughters for dinner on a recent visit I didn't have my hopes up. Namikaze is a nice quiet restaurant that from its decor could easily be an Italian, French or American restaurant. Just change the paintings on the wall. The Menu is pretty expansive. A full menu of Sushi, noodles, gyoza and rolls made it difficult to choose but eventually we narrowed it down. I always try the Unagi (eel) at any sushi restaurant. It is my barometer for how good everything else will probably be. It was good. I also ordered the Kimono Roll while my wife had Shogun roll. We also tried the Chicken Gyoza. Everything was terrific. Excellent taste and fresh. Next time someone asks me about Fresno I'll say "Fresno! They have good sushi there". Definitely Recommended.

I was immediate greeted by the two Sushi chefs behind the counter as I walked in. Not long after, the host greeted me and handed me a menu for me to select my order to go. I considered a poke bowl, however, their sauces were pretty standard. So instead I opted for their seaweed salad that came with a number of protein including tuna, edamame, shrimp, avocado, and masago. It was $19, so it wasn't necessarily inexpensive, however I figured a poke bowl with a couple proteins would run me right about there as well. The sushi chef got right away to work preparing my meal and I was in and out within 5 minutes. When I got home, I opened up my box and was a little underwhelmed with the presentation. The protein is cut up into small pieces and mixed in with the seaweed salad. In addition it is not pure seaweed as it is also mixed in with a bunch of other greens such as sprouts. So while the presentation was not what I was expecting, I was pleasantly surprised that I really enjoyed the flavors and textures. I will definitely order this again.
