I was craving some Korean food, especially tofu soup, and decided to stop by here for lunch. They have some great lunch special deals going on, but I was just feeling like eating a classic tofu soup. The soup was good, but started to taste a bit bland after a while. I wish that I would've ordered the short ribs as well. Overall, great customer service, and people. The MVP worthy side dishes!
Great service! Even though it was packed for a Friday night! Reminds me a lot of BCD Tofu House in a good way!!! We were more than satisfied with the beef and seafood tofu soup and bone broth. Friends liked their Chicken Wing & Tteok combo and galb
Ok let me start by saying that I didn't know what to expect when I came here. It is a total hole in the wall, but our server was very attentive, friendly, and fast. He did an amazing job! Now let's get to the good part. The food is absolutely incredible. We had the bulgogi and the seafood pancake. They were delicious, but the sides really were the stars. The Kimchi was phenomenal, I personally loved the pickled onions, and my wife could not stop eating the cucumber. I would gladly come back here any time. Everything was excellent. Go here.
We have been wanting to try Naju Tofu, and unfortunately the experience didn't quite live up to expectations for being the first Korean tofu spot in Fresno. We ordered the beef tofu soup with medium spice, but it didn't have much of the classic gochugaru or gochujang flavor you usually expect from soondubu. The medium spice level also tasted like it had almost no heat at all. The beef seemed to be marinated in a sweeter sauce, which threw off the overall flavor of the soup, and the broth itself ended up tasting more peppery than spicy. For the banchan, the kimchi unfortunately tasted a bit too old and over-fermented. The japchae was actually the standout and probably the best dish we had, nicely seasoned and enjoyable. We also tried the galbi, which leaned heavily on the sweet marinade and lacked the smoky, savory flavor you'd normally expect from Korean galbi. On the positive side, service was quick, and the food came out fast. Unfortunately, the flavors just didn't quite hit the mark.
5-/4+ Naju Tofu is the kind of low-key, family-run spot that Fresno was missing for a long time. It's got that authentic, cozy "mom-and-pop" energy where the focus is entirely on the quality of the food rather than a flashy interior. The flavors are deep and savory--you can really tell they take the time to build their broth bases properly--and the spread of side dishes is fresh. While the menu is a bit on the pricier side and the wait times can be a little long, it's easily some of the most comforting food in the area. If you're looking for a solid, high-quality meal that feels homemade and leaves you full, this is a top-tier choice.
Located in a strip mall, but the inside is nice and comfortable. A/C in 100 plus heat holds up with revolving fan. Feel bad for the one and only waitor/server/cashier. He was sweating but kept the friendliness and cool. Deserves a raise. Food was surprisingly good and tasty. Seafood pancake had mostly onions and not much seafood but it was hot and delicious. Will come back when weather is nicer to try the bone broth and stone pot rice.
Althought somewhat small and austere, the earthy colors inside Naju Tofu created a warm and inviting atmosphere for lunch. The food was good, filling and, most of all, comforting. I am definitely coming back. Korean restaurants have been few in the Fresno/Clovis area for as long as I can remember. I'm glad to see this is starting to change. Although Naju Tofu has been open for a while, today was my first time here. I had a craving for bibimbap that the restaurant's pictures told me could be fixed here. Naju Tofu is easy to miss. It is located towards the back of a shopping center and occupies a small space. I counted the largest seating available would fit 10 individuals, although minor rearranging could mean fitting more people together if needed. While the walls were austere, the earthy colors of the interior exuded warmth and comfort. It felt welcoming as soon as I walked in. After ringing the bell, I was immediately seated. There were only two other tables occupied. Other than a few tables in the front that needed to be cleared, the place was very clean. It was hard to miss how everything was neat and tidy with bowls, cups, napkins, chopsticks and spoons placed at the edge of each table. Because I hadn't had Korean food in a while, I wanted to eat everything. Eventually, I settled for the reason I was there, grabbing the dolsot bibimbap instead of the regular one and making it the lunch combo so I could have some tofu stew too. The dishes are smaller in the combo. I further indulged myself (I know, I know) by grabbing the mul naengmyeon. It was a hot day, and I wasn't sure about the next time I would get to eat some. Overall, the food was good. The dolsot bibimbap was delicious but the sauce could have been a little spicier (I usually can't really do spicy) and maybe a bit sweeter. I like a sauce that packs a bit more punch than the one here. The veggies were piled near to the top of the bowl. It was made even more appetizing because of the sizzling that came from the bowl. I knew I was going to get some crispy bits soon. I appreciated the sauce came in a bottle. Being someone who likes extra sauce, I didn't have to worry about asking for more. The mul naengmyeon wasn't bad. It was very cold with crunchy ice still visible. Extra vinegar and hot mustard (I think) was given so I could adjust it to my liking. If I didn't have the fan blowing behind me, I would have enjoyed it more. I like this best on a hot day, and the fan had already greatly cooled me down. The pickled radish in the cold broth was refreshing. The soon dubu was bubbling when it arrived. With different levels of spiciness, I opted for mild. In hindsight, I should have gotten it a little spicier. I let it cool down before eating. It was comforting. The tofu was smooth. The seafood was at the bottom with just two clams and a few very tiny shrimp, which was disappointing. I didn't even see them until I was packing it to go. The sides were excellent. I'm used to only four or five sides so getting seven was like hitting the jackpot. The kimchi was crunchy. The glass noodles were a little plain for me. The broccoli was covered in garlic and so delicious. The highlight was a fish cake dish that was slightly sweet. I have a sweet tooth so I really liked this one. I never had to ask for a refill because I was given a plastic pitcher for water. It was more than enough to last through the meal. I wish more places would do this. I got to enjoy my food and never had to search for someone for a refill. I would have appreciated more ice in the pitcher though. I had a great experience. It was quiet and mostly empty when I was here. I didn't feel rushed despite the fact they were closing soon. There was so much food that I couldn't finish anything. I packed what I could to go. It was essentially paying for lunch and getting dinner out of it too. Although I still need to try more Korean places in town, Naju Tofu is good stop if you're searching for comforting Korean food.
Food: probably they best Korean Food in Fresno. Their squid is my favorite and it's not too spicy even though it's so red. Heaping portions. And they give refreshing bonchon(side dishes) that come with your meal +refills! Service: a little on the slower side because there seems to be only one waiter for the whole store but when the food comes out, you forget all about it. Ambiance: a little cold inside but they play kpop which I like!
As someone who lived in the bay and tried amazing korean food, i was so mad to find out fresno has close to zero options. After finding this place i truly got my korean food fix! The best i've found in fresno!!
Made reservations for a Saturday at 6:30 PM, probably not necessary, but better safe than sorry. Finding the place was a little tricky since it was dark outside and there's no lighted sign, just a banner. Once inside, though, we were greeted warmly and seated right away. There was one large party and about 4-5 other tables occupied. Now for the food, definitely the highlight. I ordered the Oxtail Tang and added rice cakes, my husband had the Galbi Tang, and my daughter and her friend each the bulgogi entree. The banchan came out first, and everything from the kimchi to the cucumber was delicious, crispy, crunchy, and well-seasoned. The oxtail soup was rich and comforting, with fall off the bone meat and clear noodles that were so good. On a rainy evening, it was the perfect meal. The Galbi Tang was just as impressive! Tender, flavorful meat and a clean, satisfying broth. Both were served with a side of rice which made the whole meal very filling. Overall, this was such a great find. I'd definitely come back and look forward to trying other dishes next time!
I came in for a late lunch on Saturday. It was reassuring to see they're still busy after 1PM. Even though they were busy, the restaurant was clean. Service was very friendly. I love tofu soup but don't get it often because of food allergies. I ordered beef tofu soup (plain/no spice). It was delicious! It was still boiling hot, as expected, and it was nice on a cold day. It was still very flavorful. I loved it. I'm sure I'll be back!
Naju Tofu is bringing delicious Korean food to northeast Fresno, and I'm here for it. While the menu may look a little pricey at first, the food is definitely filling, and I had leftovers after this meal. I've tried their bibimbap, dolsot bibimbap, seafood tofu soup, bulgogi, and side dishes. Everything is cooked fresh, and the veggies really shine in these dishes. They're well seasoned, crunchy when needed, and absolutely add vibrance to each dish. The servers are kind and quick, and the restaurant itself is relatively spacious for the relatively small amount of room they're working with. I've already returned once and it's already in my rotation as a regular dining spot for friends or casual lunch dates.

It was fun listening to BTS and BLACKPINK while we ate! We came on a Saturday afternoon, and it wasn't too busy, so we were seated right away. I ordered the LA galbi combo with mushroom tofu soup, and everything came out quickly and piping hot. For the amount of food, the price was really reasonable. I went with the lunch-size combo, while my friend ordered the regular size -- the only difference was a bit more protein in the regular one. The galbi was tender, juicy, and on the sweeter side -- super flavorful and perfectly grilled. The mushroom tofu soup was loaded with silky tofu and had a rich, comforting flavor (though I do wish there had been a bit more broth). The side dishes were all fresh, well-seasoned, and delicious. The service was friendly, efficient, and attentive without feeling rushed. A great spot for Korean comfort food -- I'd absolutely come back the next time I'm in the area!
Had been wanting to try this place out for a while and finally got to this past weekend. My husband had actually got takeout from here before we got to try it together and he had gotten the Beef Tofu soup with his combo order. The soup was AMAZING and I was surprised that I liked it so much because I usually don't like tofu. So, when we went this time to dine-in together, I decided to get that soup and my husband got the Oxtail soup (or something like that). As before, the beef tofu soup was DELICIOUS, but I will say that the soups come out piping hot which the server did warn us about. My favorites from the banchan were the kimchi, cucumber and sauce, and the noodles. As for my husband's oxtail soup, we both wished that it had some more salt or umami flavor because it was a little bland. Other than that, the food was still really good and we look forward to coming back, especially during the cold season. The restaurant is smaller than expected but it is very clean and kept up. Naju Tofu is your local mom-and-pop Korean restaurant here in Fresno, CA. They carry several of the classic Korean dishes that you will find in other popular Korean-restaurant chains. I was able to dine-in for dinner and very please with the outcome. The tall gentleman who served us was super kind and patient. He was very knowledgeable and took his time to explain his favorites and what he recommended. My fiance and I ordered the chicken wing & tteok combo, dolsot bibimbap, LA galbi, and tofu soup. Everything tasted fantastic! The meats were tender, the tofu soup had great fill, and the bibimbap was very tasty and fresh. The chicken wings were very crispy and a great size. Tried Naju Tofu and had the hot stone bibimbap. The dish was good overall, but I felt it could have used a little more beef to better balance all the vegetables and rice. It came with a nice assortment of side dishes, which added variety to the meal. The restaurant is small and simple. Service was fast, and we were greeted promptly when we arrived. We had quite a few questions about the menu. The waitress who initially helped us seemed a bit frustrated, but she handed us off to a male waiter who was very helpful, took the time to explain the menu, and was attentive. The food was very delicious and flavorful. I'm not sure what I was expecting. Having been here for the first time, but I can tell you I will be coming regularly. The pricing was decent considering the amount of food. Everything in this photo was eaten you can taste the care and authenticity put into each plate. While the food was exceptional, the customer service was also a plus to this experience. The staff were very friendly and happily answered any questions we had about the menu. read more

I've been here twice before and both times were generally great experiences! I've tried a few things from here such as the bulgogi, bibimbap, and sautéed squid! There are times I randomly think about their sautéed squid... that's how bomb it is. But besides that, everything was pretty solid. My friends enjoyed the tofu soup. It is pricy here though. Inside feels a bit compacted, but it's still spacious enough. It's nice overall. Service was okay! I'd come back again, for the sautéed squid specifically toooo good read more
I saw that this place opened up a few months ago and have been meaning to try it, as I haven't heard of too many Korean restaurants in Fresno. Upon arrival, the storefront appears quite plain with minimal signage and inside window covers, making it hard to see exactly what you're walking into from the outside. I was surprised to see it so busy on a Wednesday evening. Thankfully I came by in a party of 2. Bigger parties may struggle with being seated right away, so maybe try calling ahead to make sure you get a spot for your party. Food-wise, the prices were pretty average and reasonable for the amount that you get. My boyfriend and I split the seafood pancake and the bibimbap + tofu soup combo special, which was more than enough food for 2 people. I felt that all of the food was adequately seasoned and flavorful and super filling. Would definitely go here again! read more

Came the first time after they had been open only a short time. Since then it seems their service has improved and things have streamlined more so that you're not waiting as long which is great! I ordered my food through the phone because their online ordering was closed due to it was about to close at the time for dinner when I ordered 2 hours ahead. Super nice and easy to communicate with their team. I ordered bibimbap! Which is probably the best bibimbap and Korean cuisine in Fresno that I can take to-go and enjoy at home. Naju tofu is a hidden gem. My family and I have been going here for some time now. Excited that Fresno is finally garnishing a few more Korean establishments. The menu isn't huge but they do have a wonderful selection of dishes. The sautéed squid is delicious. It is a huge portion and can easily feed 3-4 people. The LA kalbi beef are my parents favorite dish. The side dishes are flavorful. The waiter is always attentive and friendly and provides excellent customer service. He is always working hard, especially on busy days. The establishment is very well lit. It is very clean and organized. I hope that they open a second location someday in Clovis. And hopefully they offer gift cards soon as well, would make a good present for family/friends/loved ones so that they too can give Naju a try. :)) read more

A nice restaurant that serves amazing soups, especially the oxtail soup with flavorful broth, glass noodles and tender meaty oxtail potions with just the right amount of fat on the meat. Complete meal with leftovers. Service is efficient with server bringing us water as we were seated. Large dining area with modern decor and comfortable seating. read more
Came here for my birthday on a weeknight and it was packed! Regardless, I had a great experience! My group ordered the LA Galbi & Soup Combo and the Dolsot (stone pot) Bibimbap & Soup Combo. The sides come out first and they are so tasty! Lots of great flavor but the kimchi was def the star of the banchan (side dishes). The LA Galbi was so delicious. Something about tearing the meat off the bone is so satisfying! The bibimbap was also amazing and if you're questioning between stone pot or not, ALWAYS choose the stone pot, TRUST ME! The soup was also phenomenal! Got the Beef and Seafood Tofu Soup and it was tasty and will warm your soul up! Would highly recommend! Food is delicious. Just a few favorites are the seafood tofu soup and the galbi. Restaurant is clean and on the smaller side so when they are busy it is packed. Definitely recommend reservations for the weekends. Service is minimal but fine. read more

This is my go to Korean restaurant in Fresno. Every time I go, I leave the restaurant happy and stuffed! Love everything here from their sauteed squid with triple tteok, side dishes, tofu soup, bibimbap, and seafood pancake! read more

We're always excited to see a Korean restaurant in Fresno! The food here was delicious and the portions were very generous. The restaurant itself is small but tidy and clean, and the servers provided good customer service and were very attentive. I ordered the seafood tofu soup, LA Galbi, and bibimbap, while my partner ordered the sautéed squid. When the food arrived, everything looked great, but our order wasn't exactly what we expected. We had wanted the seafood tofu soup by itself (the large bowl), but it came as part of a combo, which includes a smaller tofu soup. When I asked about it, the server checked and explained that this was how it was rung up, possibly to save us money. The combo was LA Galbi + Seafood tofu soup for $30.49, compared to ordering them separately at $48.48. We didn't mind at all and still enjoyed the meal. We came on a Friday night about an hour after opening and they were packed . I highly recommend you to come right when they open because this place is really popular and you might end up waiting a long time if you come too late . We ordered the stir fried squid , and the Galbi and seafood soondubu combo . The stir fried squid was my favorite dish . The seafood soondubu was lacking seafood flavor, and the Galbi size was very small . The stir fried squid was a huge portion and came pack full of rice cake and veggies . This is a great family run restaurant and it's so nice to have a new tofu spot in town . The Central Valley is sorely lacking in Korean food . read more

Overpriced, sure, but I was impressed that my to-go order came with 4 delicious side dishes in a cute container. First time having Korean food and it was success! My mom and I ordered the same thing but both of us devoured our plates. We had a seafood pancake as our appetizer which was really tasty We each got a beef meal + seafood tofu soup you are able to adjust to your spice level I got the medium spicy and didn't think it was so bad. Overall my first food outing of the year and I was happy to go out and try something new. I made a reservation in advance. read more

The worker was very kind and said it would be ready in 15 minutes....Arrived! Greeted after entering. Order ready and given after paying with good weekend wishes! GREAT! Really nice restaurant! Calm & low key. Music playing. Lots of seating! Lunchtime! Getting it ready! Great presentation!The Doisot Bibimap, extra spicy is Spicy & DELICIOUS! Finally, another Korean restaurant in Fresno! If you're craving tofu soup or other Korean staples, this is a solid choice. The menu isn't huge, but it covers the essentials: bulgogi, spicy pork/squid, seafood pancake, stone pot mixed rice, and, of course, tofu soups where you can pick your spice level. The food is decent, and it's great to have this option in town. While it might not be the best Korean food you've ever had, it's definitely a solid choice you'll find in Fresno. It's worth checking out if you're in the mood for comforting Korean dishes. I'm looking forward to coming back and trying more! read more
