11/14/25 This rainy day calls for soup. I called and ordered tofu vegetable soup. The worker was kind and said it would be ready in 20 min. Arrived. Greeted! Very kind workers!! They have an assortment of freshly made foods to pick up. Seafood pancakes, Kimchi cakes, sushi, etc. They have a lot of grocery items to pick from too! They have tasty frozen desserts also! Bought frozen matcha Taiyaki for dinner! Yummy! Checked out and the worker was Great! Happy to bag it for me. I paid for it and she wished me a good day! Appreciated!! Lunchtime! Tofu vegetable soup was Spicy & REALLY DELICIOUS! They give you A LOT of tofu too! Just GREAT!! Lots of leftovers!! Great service! GREAT tofu vegetable soup on this rainy day! You know, coming from years of LA Korean food and then Bay Area Korean food, the Korean food you get from Korea Mart just doesn't hit. What I mean is that there is something about the Korean food made here that just tastes a bit different than what you'd otherwise get or expect from a more traditional and authentic Korean restaurant. That said, Korea Mart seemed to start off as a Korean mini market, with a small focus on prepared meals. That may have gained some popularity and the owner decided to shift their focus more towards the prepared food and less on the mini mart. The problem is that the prepared food, while focuses on traditional dishes, just doesn't taste traditional. There is something off about the dishes. For example, the Jajamyun's vegetables were very off. It lacked zucchini and the cabbage wasn't enough. The kicker is that the onions weren't even diced. The onions were in big chunks-which actually works sometimes, but made the dish feel lazily and hastily put together. Then, the tubboki was too saucy. Flavor wasn't too bad, but was too saucy. Finally, they refuse to give you an itemized receipt until you finalize payment with a tip? They charge $2 for rice when they don't advertise it anywhere and they ask how many you want without telling you, and rice isn't an extra charge in most Korean restaurants. Just overall pretty disappointed. But then again, Korean restaurant in Fresno was probably a "my bad" decision. Oh well. As for ambiance. It felt like you were eating in the back of a mini mart. Went on a sunday, wasn't busy and staff is sweet. Love that they have a bar for sides, i especially like the kimichi and beansprouts. The place is in a small korean mart and they are mainly known for their food. Side Dishes: - Korean Potatos (sweet, would say good for american taste buds) - Fishcake (ate it with our spicy ricecakes) - Beansprouts (love the flavor and has lots of sesame oil) - Kimichi (not too fermented, was very refreshing) - Pickled Radish (sweet and very pickled, has a good pepper flavor) For main dishes we got: - Spicy rice cakes: very sweet and slightly spicy has a slight smoked flavor! - Spicy beef noodles: love that its served in a hot bowl, keeps my soup xtra hot which i love, noodles and veggies were delicious, broth isn't too rich so it is refreshing and light. - Sweet and Sour Pork: small portion but very crispy and the sauce is perfect! We came here on a weeknight and were pretty impressed by the couple running the place, who at the peak of the night was serving about 20 people in pretty good time. The food here is pretty decent. We waited about 15 minutes to get the food. We loved the all you can eat Korean sides. That was delicious. The food was also pretty good. We enjoyed the kimchi fried rice, the sweet noodles, the bbq galbi, and the soup. However, the kimchi fried rice was a little wet and a little too hot, since their kimchi is on the spicier side. The black bean noodles also didn't have much flavor. But overall, we thought that the food was pretty good and it's a nice restaurant that's fast casual. The food is amazing! Everything taste so fresh and is piping hot. My favorite so far has been the kimchi stew and the glass noodle stir fry. All the side are amazing... i went twice and the first time they packaged pickled radish but when i went back a few weeks later they had their homemade pickled radish out and it was perfection. Highly recommend trying it. Both bulgogis were goood but I preferred the spicy version. It had the perfect amount of heat and more of a spice flavor. Service is great. This restaurant & market is definitely the most underrated restaurant in fresno if you ask me. The owners are the most kind and generous people who also make the best korean food offered in a fresno restaurant ! My grandmother and i frequent this restaurant every time I'm in town, and it is phenomenal every single time. Each meal comes with a variety of side and im an absolute fiend for the potatos and the peanuts ! The owner knows this about me and keeps them coming which i will forever appreciate her for ! Im a big fan of the mackeral and bulgogi dishes as entrees, and my grandmother loves their jajangmyeon and whole fish dish. No one should ever feel like you just got robbed after eating. I was charged 70 dollars for 3 dishes with one of them being one I didn't order, portions were beyond small. Really close off the 41 freeway and plenty of parking. I ordered the kalbi beef with steamed rice and side dishes. It took over 30 minutes as there are 3-4 people working. As I waited, I browsed the grocery store. Lots of dry ramen options, sauces, rice paper, cookies and ice cream. The food that came out looked delicious and smelled so good. It is worth the wait! The kalbi beef was perfectly flavored and grilled. There are fatty parts, which is normal and no big deal. The kimchee and pickled radish were delicious and not spicy. I ate everything - so delicious! Will definitely return and absolutely recommend! They also accept credit cards. read more

I have never written a review before, but after eating here I felt obligated to. First let's talk about how our food was given to a different table, which would've been fine if it was busy, but there was only 2 tables. LOL. Also the fact that I didn't receive my food until 1 hour later didn't help. The pictures on the menu compared to real life was funny. Overpriced for the amount of food we got ($90). It wasn't even enough to fill 2 people($90!). For that price you would think it's some gourmet shit, sadly it's not even close. Left the restaurant full not with food, but rather disappointment. This is the first time I've ever asked for a refund for food. The cherry on top is when we received our refund they gave me the wrong amount of change. Instead of the 23 cents she gave me only a nickel. Double LOL! Worst 90$ I've ever spent! It's a shame we trusted the 4 star review. I wish I went down the street to Lin's Fusion instead. The food tasted pretty authentic. The Pork Back Bone Stew (#19) was my husband's favorite. The Spicy Beef Soup (#11) has a unique taste of fern so if you're not familiar with it you might not like it that much. The Combination (#6) BBQ plate was good, you'll like it if you like sweet and salty meat, but I kind of think it's overpriced for its' portion. The place is a little run down and old. I have eaten here twice. The food is really good. The shop is quaint and hole in the wall kind of place. Half of it is a market so you can grab some goodies on your way out if you wish. I've had the spicy pork bulgogi which was delish. Rich and spicy, but not too much of either. I also had the beef sundubu. I'm not a big fan of the beef, so I'll try a different one next time, but I think that's more of a me thing. The banchan is good, but some of it doesn't seem super fresh. Tried this place for the first time today. Was really happy with my visit. I got welcomed and immediately seated and within seconds water was brought over to me. 10/10 service! They have just a few tables and it's a husband and wife that work their. Food isn't super fast to come out but I was totally ok with that. I was excited to try the banchan offerings and they were yummy, not disappointed at all. We decided to try the spicy rice cakes $10.99, 5/5we really enjoyed these! I felt the spice was good and it had some sweetness but not too much. Had to try the kimchi fried rice $12.99, 4/5, it can be a little oily but it was good and I gave it a 4 cause I think it would have been great if the egg on top had a runny yolk but unfortunately it was a little over cooked. First time at Fresno, I came across this place after searching for places to eat and I'm happy I decided to come here! The initial pictures that I assume were from the business owners, I knew this place was going to be a mom and dad restaurant and sure enough it is! I LOVE mom and dad restaurants, and everything they serve they made themselves. From their sides to their main dishes. I'd like to add their side dishes are self serve all you can eat for dine in! This is a nice little mom and pop spot -- and literally, it seems to just be a husband and wife duo working behind the counter. I've been in twice now, once for a sit-down meal with my husband and again to get some quick takeout and a couple of grocery items. It can be a little slow since there are just two of them working, so don't go in hangry. I've tried the spicy rice cakes, seafood pancake, and kimchi fried rice. They always bring out some banchan, and put some on the side with takeout dishes, which I know is pretty standard but it's still a nice touch. I really like the fish cake banchan they serve. The seafood pancake was pretty good, but definitely a greasy dish. The kimchi fried rice was on the oily side that day too. I love the spicy rice cakes, though. They're super chewy and the sauce is sweet and spicy -- not super spicy to start but it keeps building as you go. Yesterday I went in just to get some spicy rice cakes to go, because I was craving them. I also picked up a couple of shelf-stable quick meals for lunches. I grabbed a pack of ice cream sandwiches too - they were pretty good, something different to try. If you like ice cream they have quite a few frozen treats, and a few shelf stable ones but they're mostly savory. I am new to the area, and was missing my family's home cooked Korean food. I found this authentic Korean restaurant located inside a small Korean market, and was not disappointed! I ordered the soft tofu soup, spicy pork bulgogi, and it came with rice and Banchan (included side dishes) of cabbage kimchi, cucumber kimchi and seasoned bean sprouts. My food was made fresh, had authentic taste and good portions. It was enough for two big meals for myself. I can't wait to go back and try other dishes. Uh sorry but gotta chin check this place. We had the jjam pppohng (spicy seafood noodle soup), jjah Jjang myung (black bean noodle), and bulgogi. All were terrible. The people are nice and the endless banchan is mid. Prices are market for a nice regular Korean restaurant but food was bland. The spicy seafood soup was bland. The veggies didn't pick up any of the flavors. The soup tastes like packaged ramen. The black bean sauce lacked flavor and was overwhelmed by sesame oil. Sorry I see all these good ratings but question everyone's taste palette. Maybe everyone is being nice to the store/restaurant owners? Nice enough people but definitely not eating here again. This location has a grocery store and restaurant inside, for this review I'm writing specifically about the restaurant. I arrived here on a weekday an hour or two past noon, and it wasn't too busy. My SO and I seated ourselves, and promptly was served with glasses of water. My SO ordered the Spicy Pork, and I ordered the Black Bean Noodles. The portion size for the noodles is huge, and worth the cost. The proteins I noticed were a bit pricy, for their portion size, but the taste makes up for it tremendously. Their banchan is a bit minimum, serving: Kimchi, Fish cakes (not fermented), fermented spicy potatoes, and fermented spicy beansprouts. Although only 4 side dishes, they were plentiful compared to restaurants I ate in the past. Overall 5/5, and I would highly recommend it to anyone! read more

This is the only Korean food around that I know that's in Fresno. I've been coming here for years. I grabbed a takeout this evening. I am very disappointed. I am posting photos. I ordered bibimbop, pull Kogi, and kimchi Jjigae. I $64 with tip take out and usually the food is good. I've been always concerned with the takeout is a little bit smaller portion. But the meat in the kimchi jjigae and the korean barbecue is all fat. In both. I'm not sure how I'm going to eat it. I'm going to refrigerate and potentially take at least the Korean barbecue back. Don't know if I can do that. This is not edible. Even the bibimbop is a smaller portion that I would like. Just very disappointed this time. People have many options to go out to eat. I choose Korean most of the time but not when I pay $65 for beef or pork that didn't cook away. There's no meat. Posting photos. Not many Korean alternatives in Fresno. We loved the pork bone soup (soup base was so good, a little spicy and came out hot, yummy pork bone and perfect with rice!), bulgogi (yummy marinated with onion), galbi (short ribs, so flavorful and perfect sweetness), tteobokki (spicy rice cake just like in the k-drama (stab with your fork or chopstick and you're in business--sooo good), and the all you can eat banchan (sides). We loved all these delicious dishes and we highly recommend. It was like a kdrama fans dream come true experience to eat these foods. I also ordered the jjajjangmyeon (black bean noodles) but was disappointed, it a bit flavorless and almost no pork in there. I've seen this dish so many times in the kdramas but didn't feel like it hit the spot. I'll try it again elsewhere. The kimchi fried rice was good flavor but a bit of a wetter texture than other places I've had it. The service took about 15-20 mins to receive the food. The tables were pretty tightly packed in to fit in more, wide enough to get a wheelchair around. I loved the K-pop videos in the background to add to the ambiance. This is a mom and pop food market with an attached restaurant on the side. We didn't explore the market portion so the review is based solely on the restaurant and food. We walked in and on the left was the restaurant portion. We were greeted right away and told to sit anywhere. The other tables were occupied or had dishes from previous diners, so we sat at the only table semi-clean. There were only 2 people working (cook and server), who were probably the owners. Looking at the other tables, they probably had a lunch rush and was pretty busy. Everytime the server had a minute to clean a table, she had to take orders, seat incoming guests or serve food. There was a steady flow of people coming in and out. Kpop music videos were playing in the background, not overly loud though. There are about 7-8 tables only so it's a very small space. My husband and I ordered 4 dishes just to try a little variety since it was our first time here. The complimentary banchan consists of spicy potatoes, kimchi, fish cake and cucumber kimchi. They weren't the best I've had... it was just ok. The potatoes were a little mushy. The kimchi was good. The fishcakes were, well fishcakes. The cucumbers was a little soft and felt a little aged. It didnt have any crunch to it. Our 4 dishes were tteokbokki (spicy rice cakes), combo kbbq, ojingeo bokkeum (spicy squid stirfry) and naengmyeon (cold noodle soup). The tteokbokki didn't have an egg and was on the sweeter side. It was very basic. I can see why people like it. The combination kbbq plate had chicken, bulgogi (marinated beef) and galbi (short ribs). It was our least favorite dish because it was pretty plain and a little dry. Couldn't taste much of the marinade so we dipped it in the tteokbokki sauce. The spicy squid stirfry was our favorite! It was flavorful and was about standard portion and priced. We both agreed that this was one of the better versions that we had of this dish surprisingly. I expected more for the naengmyeon but it was a little plain. This was probably my 2nd favorite. I had to eat it with the kimchi for it to taste better. Overall, if I'm craving for Korean food that I don't want to cook myself, this place would suffice. Wow, this place is sooooooo good. I wasn't expecting much but wow. I got the spicy bulgogi and the fried dumplings. The spicy bulgogi was the perfect level of spice, little tingles on my lips, little runny nose. Perfect level 5 spice. The bulgogi had onions, green onions, and jalapeños inside. It's a bit salty but with the rice it's perfect. It came with a side of kimchi, a potato salad spicy thing, and fish cake. All the sides were soooo tasty. But I was really impressed with the fish cake. So simple yet so delicious. The fried dumplings look so plain. But do not let looks fool you. That baby is packed full with flavor. I think it's made with pork, glass noodles, and cabbage. It comes with a dipping sauce too but honestly you don't need it. It was my first time here and it definitely won't be my last.
