Was told the plate comes with mixed vegetables, unfortunately only got mainly cabbage, bits of carrot, and 1 slice of zucchini

Staff is super friendly and ordering to-go is a quick option when grabbing lunch. Needs more broccoli and zucchini...

The only thing I ordered today was tempura veggies. I am now feeling very sick 3 hours later. The yams were cut very thick and were raw on the inside but I didn't know yams were unsafe to eat raw until google told me. They can make you severely I'll as well so I hope just the stomach pain and vomiting are the end of it. The table was sticky today. I have liked the food in the past but the consistency isn't there and now that I have gotten sick I don't think I will be back. Do you know it's dangerous to serve people this and still served it anyways? And if you didn't one of the chefs in your business should. It's pretty unacceptable

The ramen broth was very tasty, but the spicy chicken was just ok. The tables were a bit sticky but the service was very kind and thoughtful. Overall nice place and I'll be back for a bowl of ramen!

*WARNING* Parking at the trail head will get you a ticket from the laziest shmuck on this side of the northwest Fresno. Watch out!

First and foremost, their food is good. (Refer to receipt posts as picture for items ordered.) I enjoyed the Ginger Beef with their delicious and steamed vegetables. My coworkers loved their Downtown Spice Crispy Chicken, Teriyaki Beef tri-tip, teriyaki chicken, and crispy chicken platters. Yelper, Carolina B., was correct in stating their prices are the same as us ordering a full bento box at a sit down restaurant, but worth the awesome selections of the bento. For prices, refer to my receipt. Customer service is negligible. They've never had a person behind the register who wanted to be there for you, the customer. I'm not too fond of dropping into a joint to discover that they'd love to have their downtime back by speeding through serving you. Good news is it's pretty peaceful with lots of space to be away from that disappointment. Overall a 3.4 out of 5 stars.

We discovered this place because we were given a gift card. We are very fortunate to be able to try this place out. The food is delicious! We ordered the beef teriyaki plate as well as the shrimp scampi. The plate options allow you to choose your protein followed by brown or white rice, and choice of veggies or salad. You can do all rice or all veggies. We chose half and half. The sake was crisp and refreshing. Service was excellent. They recommend we save more by ordering the bottle of Sake ($16-not bad at all). Will definitely return.

Chicken Ramen Noodle Soup The soup was really good. Lots of flavor and a big serving. Will definitely be returning for more.

Place is always clean and staff is friendly. Food is great and not too expensive in my opinion. The Chicken ramen soup and the teriyaki chicken and beef plate are my favorites.

A great lunchtime spot during the work week! The staff is always fast, efficient, & attentive. I only wait 5 to 10 minutes for my food. I will say their tables are almost always super sticky, so I use hand sanitizer and napkins to clean my table before eating. A bit on the pricier side, but they do sell sake! Management walks around constantly to make sure customers are satisfied.

We've been here many times, and we always have a great experience. The staff are very nice and remember us each time. Sometimes the chicken can be a bit overcooked or too crispy, but that doesn't happen very often. Overall the food is very good!

This place is pretty good. Lately the service has been a lot better. They even haul out heaters to patio diners upon request. I always opt for the tuna poke and it never disappoints. The warm rice makes the tuna warm which can be *blah* but it still tastes pretty good. The hubby gets spicy crispy chicken and he likes it more than Teriyaki Don which says a lot because he loves that place. LOL

Ashley L.

I had a lunch date here today. =) This place is safe and clean. Practiced too! The worker are very nice. I asked if the salmon and tuna bowl was popular and she said yes. It had already been ordered many times today. I ordered that with brown rice and he ordered the crispy chicken. Also two drinks! Love their high tech fountain drink dispenser. You can select diet and pick what flavors you would like. I chose diet cherry. He chose a lemonade flavor. We waited a little while. They got busy. Our food was delivered a little while later. It's a good place to sit back and enjoy getting to talk and get to know him. Vice versa too. The food was really good! My bowl was fresh and tasty! Good sauces to top it with including sriracha sauce to spice it up. Leftovers too! My date enjoyed his too and he had leftovers as well! I wanted to get a diet cherry refill before we left, but it said no diet drinks were available. Bummer! Good service and food! Recommended!

Spicy Crispy Chicken 2/5 stars

After a long day at work, we didn't want to cook or feel like eating leftovers so we decided to check this place out. Not impressed...Customer service was friendly but not friendly enough to check on us after waiting over 30min for our to go order. Their spicy crispy chicken wasn't worth the wait nor lived up to the hype I've been hearing folks rave about. Their prices seem almost the same if I were to dine in at a Japanese restaurant and order a Bento Box. Definitely not fast food and not fast food prices. They offered us a freebie meal for next time. I'm still deciding if I should give them a second chance or give it away as a stocking stuffer. *California Rolls aren't on the Menu at this location

Our server checked in on us right away, suggested great dishes, and even gave us a dessert on the house for our anniversary. The martini was pretty strong, and I liked that it came with a shot of sake. The bone marrow was good, but the salmon spoon really took the show. I think I set my expectations too high for the entrees we got--the sea bass with risotto and uni pasta. They were still tasty, just didn't give that wow factor. Because this is on the pricier side, it's a good place for special occasions, though it's casual enough for just a really good meal.

Not just visually, it actually tastes as good as it looks which isn't always the case. The rolls are creative without being gimmicky and the fish is fresh. The teppanyaki is fun if you want more of an experience, great for groups or dates. Cocktails are solid too. Not an afterthought like at a lot of sushi spots. They clearly put thought into the drink menu. The space feels upscale but not uncomfortable. Like you can dress up or just come after work and both feel fine. Its $$$ so yeah its a splurge, but for Fresno the quality absolutely justifies it. This is the kind of restaurant that makes you feel like you didn't have to drive to the bay for a good meal. Reservation recommended, it gets busy for a reason.

I'll definitely be coming back and would highly recommend it to anyone looking for great sushi and outstanding service!

The concept is unique and functions a bit like an all-you-can-eat appetizer-style setup. You are given a checklist of various dishes and can order as much as you want, though you do have to pay a fee for anything you order but don't finish. Because of that, I made sure to focus on the premium options like the fried shrimp and ribeye, though I sampled a good variety of other menu items too, and I definitely felt like I got my money's worth. If the evening price feels like a lot, the staff let me know that their lunch pricing drops to around $20. That seems like an absolute steal and easily gives you the best bang for your buck, though the dinner price certainly wouldn't discourage me from returning. The food here is easily a 10 out of 10 and tastes absolutely amazing. The quality of the dishes is definitely the highlight of the experience, with the cleanliness of the establishment coming in a close second. The restaurant is incredibly clean, and you constantly see workers moving around keeping the place spotless. The service takes third place here, as it can be a bit slow when it comes to getting drink refills or checking in on the table. However, it is an incredibly busy spot, so the pace is entirely understandable, and someone did always make sure to stop by and check on us eventually. The overall atmosphere is excellent, and I would absolutely come back here to celebrate birthdays or fun group events.

Known for its customizable ramen bowls with flavorful broths and a wide variety of toppings, as well as, other menu items like rice bowls, bentos, and dumplings, Tsuchiya Ramen definitely lived up to it's almost 5 star Yelp reviews. The waitress was friendly and the food came out fairly quickly once our order was taken ~ less than 10 mins for sure! I ordered the spicy miso ramen ($17.99) with a sweet corn side (+$1.50) and complimentary topping of the fried garlic. The hakata (thin style noodles) were perfectly cooked, with a lil al dente bit to them. It had all the trimmings that I like ~ green onion, chashu, jammy egg, crunchy wood ear mushrooms, naruto fish cake, marinated bamboo, and nori. The broth was authentic, flavored with such depth. You can really taste the slow-cooked, miso quality in it. I loved the fried garlicky taste too! It was the right level of spice, I didn't even need to add any chili oil, like I usually do. My picky daughter opt'd for the "make your own ramen" option (starting at $12.99) ~ getting the same hakata thin noodle with tonkatsu broth, chashu (+$3.25), fried tofu (+$2.50), and freebie toppings of nori, sesame seeds & fried garlic. My son ordered the OG tonkatsu ramen w/ extra marinated bamboo (+$2) on the side. Lastly, the hubs wanted to eat lighter & healthier, so he opt'd for the teriyaki chicken rice bowl. Everyone loved their meal pick. Dare I say..I even think it ranks better than some of the ramen joints in the OC. Who knew Fresno was poppin' in the foodie dept? Lol A total RxFoodie recommend and I'd return if I'm ever in the area again!
