Solid place! The ramen was good, broth and noodles were great. It feels more healthy, if that makes sense. The bulgogi was yumm, I enjoyed it! The jajangmyun was okay, kinda bland but it balanced nicely eating with the bulgogi. Service is great, sweet worker!

What a cute small restaurant. I'm thankful that I didn't go when it was busy. Went here after work and chose a table in the corner. I ended up ordering veggie egg rolls and beef bulgogi. The lady taking my order was friendly and welcoming. When the egg rolls came, I suggest to wait a few minutes for it to cool down because it was hot lol it was really good and I just wanted to order more. Then the bulgogi came in a skillet and there were vegetables in it. Amazing flavor and it was a big portion. I enjoyed the food and I can't wait to come back and probably try some udon :)

Started to come back (to-go orders only). Much better with their service. Food is consistent. Price has gone up, but still reasonable. Haven't tried their online service since it is easy to do phone order. Usually don't have to wait too long.

Rock & Noodles is tucked away in a small plaza but is home to some authentic Korean food. The waitress was very kind and polite. We ordered the Jam Pong, which is a spicy Korean seafood soup, and the Beef Bulgogi. The Jam Pong was fabulous- spicy but hearty with a generous amount of seafood and chewy, thick noodles. The beef bulgogi was also delicious. We got medium spicy but I could've gotten more spice. It was delicious paired with steamed rice! Amazing food, I'm looking forward to eating here again!

Although the restaurant is small and could benefit from some minor updates, the food was excellent. The portions were generous, and the prices were reasonable. We ordered the beef jajangmyeon, jjamppong, beef bulgogi plate, bacon fried rice, and shrimp fried rice. The bacon fried rice was outstanding, with a perfect balance of butter, smoky flavor, and saltiness. The shrimp fried rice was equally well-prepared. My beef bulgogi was well-seasoned, offering just the right combination of sweet and savory. I didn't try the beef jajangmyeon myself, but my children thoroughly enjoyed it. Service was also impressive; our server was courteous and attentive. Overall, we had a great experience and would gladly return.

Hidden spot on Shaw and West area. It had been on my book marks for a long time. I love beef bulgogi and was craving it so I opted for that with the veggie fried rice. The combo comes with salad which is just iceberg lettuce but the dressing is pretty good. Rice is ok. Pot stickers are good I tend to get that as an appetizer when I come. Beef bulgogi is a nice sized portion and good. I've had better beef bulgogi though. They get super busy but they're efficient and quick. No fountain drinks here just can sodas. Overall it's just good not amazing but it hits the spot if you're craving Korean style food.

This place never disappoints!!! Love the food and the customer service is always great. Staff is always super friendly. Their Fire Chicken and Hot wings are definitely a must and will not be disappointed at all! Their Bacon Fried Rice tastes so good and brings back memories to your mom's home cooked meals. Might not be the cleanest all the time but the food will be worth it. Highly recommend!

Not for me! Came in and stood at the door for a very long time before someone seated me. Prices are pretty high. I got shrimp and potstickers and both were very bland. I know I should have tried noodles but I was just in an apps mood. The servers didn't spend much time on me. Seemed annoyed I took up a table alone. Had to flag someone down for a box. The meal pictured was 21 and sadly it tasted like nothing.

I love this place and would recommend it to everyone. This is my second time here. This time I ordered the combination plate with the fried rice which I love and I think it's one of the best around. This fried rice does not rely on bacon and butter for it to taste good. It is so flavorful. There may be butter in this though. But I order it with the Fire Chicken. This was spicy chicken with a similar texture as an orange chicken. However I think they used gochujang as the glaze mixed with ketchup possibly. It was a sweet spicy taste and it was good but I would go with the bulgogi beef again. My wife ordered the beef jjangmyeon, this was tasty and meaty. My wife however feels that it needs a little more salt. We also ordered the pickled radish and kimchi. To me this is a nice little hidden gem. I will be back.

I came to Fresno to visit my aunt who has critical problems at a nearby hospice care. I went to visit cousins and one of them suggested to try out this place because he loves Korean food and Korean culture. Of course we believed him because he's obsessed with it. The place is very small, but a nice jewel in the rough per se. I ordered a potsticker 6 piece and the chicken teriyaki bowl without any SAUCE on it! It contained vegetables like broccoli and carrots, steamed rice and the chicken. Overall, very healthy considering the other stuff on the menu. Service came from a very polite Asian woman. She dropped our potstickers accidentally on the table but was kind enough to replace them. My chicken bowl without the sauce was about 12$ and the 6 potstickers were 7$. My friends and family ordered the pork bulgogi fried rice combination plate for $17, a beef kalbi with fried rice for $17 and a jajayngmyeon dish for about 15$. Overall, not as highly priced as I thought given the amount of food. But astonishingly the food was good quality. I have had Korean bbq from tofu house where I live and paiks noodle. The difference however; you do not get the kimchi, cucumber radish and other glass noodles as appetizers. The teriyaki chicken bowl without the sauce was excellent. 5/5 very good tasting chicken bowl. Fresh, tasty and delicious. It was a little bland, but I like how after I consumed it, it tasted like I ate a good quality dinner. The potstickers were deep fried which I didn't like too much, but the new ones that came after the waitress dropped them were a little browner than the ones that fell on the table. The pork was good, but I don't like eating pork. It was okay. The beef kalbi was rubbery though. Gotta cook it more, but the place was going to close in 10 minutes and the cook had to rush it, so he did get it done enough. The fried rice was good, but it was not too greasy and seasoned very little. The best dish was mine. Prices were fair and the interior was clean and somewhat delightful to sit comfortably as the tables were separated far apart from other guests. I didn't try the jajangmyeon there but I tried it before. Not a fan, but it smelled very good. Recommended, experience was great, service fast and kind, quality of food to value was good $75 ish total, clean interior, parking was decent and location safe. What I loved the most was the great kind service and how quickly the food arrived (18 minutes or so for all) and given this timeframe, food was excellent except the beef kalbi that was rubbery. Restrooms clean and convenient and ambiance was cozy given that there were other guests. Aroma was amazing.

Seafood Ramen - Asked for spicy

I am stuck on the spicy seafood ramen! It's the BEST! Right amount of seafood, tasty soup. Usually have to take half to go for dinner. If you like spicy soups, this is the right choice. You can adjust spiciness to your liking. Staff is also nice and accommodating

10/10 -- Best Korean Spot Ever! From the moment we walked in, we were greeted by a super kind lady who immediately made us feel comfortable. The place has a cozy, dimly lit vibe that makes it feel warm and inviting. When we ordered our food, everything came out fresh, hot, and surprisingly fast. We got the Ramen, Chow Mein, and Beef Rib -- and I'm not exaggerating when I say this might be the best Korean food we've ever had. Every bite was packed with flavor, and you can tell it was made with care. We ended up eating way more than we planned (it was that good!), and when we couldn't finish, the same sweet lady helped us pack everything up. Such great service! Whether you're a local or just visiting, this is definitely a must-try spot. We absolutely loved it and I never thought I'd give a place a perfect 10/10 -- but Rockin Noodles deserves it. Highly recommend!

Best Jajangmyeon (black bean noodles) and jjamppong (Spicy seafood noodles) in town. Smaller dining area but feels very homey. Great service especially when ordering online and picking up food.

When you order ramen to go are the noodles packaged separately from the broth?

Do they have rice cakes here, if not does anyone know a place in Fresno I can find them?

I don't think they do... they have rice cake at Asiana Market. They also have a little mom & pop restaurant attached.

The soup was AMAZING and I was surprised that I liked it so much because I usually don't like tofu. So, when we went this time to dine-in together, I decided to get that soup and my husband got the Oxtail soup (or something like that). As before, the beef tofu soup was DELICIOUS, but I will say that the soups come out piping hot which the server did warn us about. My favorites from the banchan were the kimchi, cucumber and sauce, and the noodles. As for my husband's oxtail soup, we both wished that it had some more salt or umami flavor because it was a little bland. Other than that, the food was still really good and we look forward to coming back, especially during the cold season. The restaurant is smaller than expected but it is very clean and kept up. We had a male server who was very attentive and polite.

The resturant is owned by two of the sweetest couples, and you can genuinely feel the warmth and care the moment you walk in. The pop is the chef and the ma is the waitress. The wait time could be a bit longer than other places. Even though the shop is small and not always crowded, the food speaks for itself! It's absolutely amazing! SIDE DISHES :: They serve a selected menu of authentic Korean dishes, and every single seasoning feels perfectly balanced. You can tell everything is made with care and experience. Even the side dishes stood out to me. The fermentation and seasoning are on point! Fresh, flavorful, and not overly vinegary or sour like store bought one. Everything tasted incredibly fresh and comforting. The side dishes comes with fermented kimchi, fermented bean sprout, fish cakes, and sweet fermented potatoes. All of their side dishes are really good! RATE : 5/5 SHRIMP FRIED RICE ($15.99) :: This plate is so simple yet so comforting too. It's not blasted full of flavors but it's perfectly and lightly seasoned. I can taste the light MSG seasoning on this dish. I love it how this plate is not supper oily like any other chinese fried rice. Besides that, there's nothing something special on this dish. If you have young kids and need a quick fix, this plate is not bad. It's not that fatty or oily. RATE : 5/5 SPICY RICE CAKE ($11.99) :: You have to ge this dish! I love their sauce! It's perfectly seasoned! Sweet, salty and spicy. The sauce is thick like they puree pears in it. I'm not sure what is made out of but the text feels like puree pears/apples/potato. The rice cake are perfect cooked! It's soft amd chewy. Very spongy. It goes so well with the sauce. On a note though, the spice level creeps up and could be a bit too spicy. RATE : 5/5 BLACK BEAN SAUCE NOODLE ($13.99) : I originally was looking for Paiks Black Bean Noodles but they closed it down. Im glad that this location have it. The sauce is amazing but i think the noodles are a bit too wet. They couldn't grip onto the noodle much. The whole experience on this dish is a bit disappointing because there not enough sauce and the noodle couldn't grip the sauce so the noodle taste like wet starchy sweet noodles. Besides that, i love the black bean sauce! RATE : 4/5 INTERIOR :: Is a bit out dated with plenty of seatings. Chairs are clean. Tables are well kept but still sticky and smells musty old towels. The bathroom location is located back in the hallway. It's a bit dark and creepy. They do have a few claw machine for activities. RATE : 2/5 SERVICE :: What a sweet couple but be aware that they might miss you. My group and i walked in and seated our self. There's no greeting. We have to flagged someone out from the kitchen. Samething when paying too. That's the difficult part. Their service is horrible but these two couples are really sweet. RATE : 2/5 OVERALL :: There's something really special about finding a quiet little spot like this. It may not be the busiest restaurant in town, but the quality, authenticity, and heart behind the food make it such a memorable place to visit. Definetly one of those hidden gems worth supporting!

What I mean is that there is something about the Korean food made here that just tastes a bit different than what you'd otherwise get or expect from a more traditional and authentic Korean restaurant. That said, Korea Mart seemed to start off as a Korean mini market, with a small focus on prepared meals. That may have gained some popularity and the owner decided to shift their focus more towards the prepared food and less on the mini mart. The problem is that the prepared food, while focuses on traditional dishes, just doesn't taste traditional. There is something off about the dishes. For example, the Jajamyun's vegetables were very off. It lacked zucchini and the cabbage wasn't enough. The kicker is that the onions weren't even diced. The onions were in big chunks-which actually works sometimes, but made the dish feel lazily and hastily put together. Then, the tubboki was too saucy. Flavor wasn't too bad, but was too saucy. Finally, they refuse to give you an itemized receipt until you finalize payment with a tip? They charge $2 for rice when they don't advertise it anywhere and they ask how many you want without telling you, and rice isn't an extra charge in most Korean restaurants. Just overall pretty disappointed. But then again, Korean restaurant in Fresno was probably a "my bad" decision. Oh well. As for ambiance. It felt like you were eating in the back of a mini mart. Super dark from the outside gave it a weird vibe.

This place has been in my regular rotation since they opened and I have never had a bad meal here…read more The concept is a family style hot pot restaurant where you cook your own protein, vegetables or noodles in a flavored brother. You can pick between 1 and 4 different broths per pot. Each table has one cooking stove top, with the larger tables having two. The broths range from vegetarian to mild, to spicy to meat based. Everything is a la carte with the exception of some premade combinations bundling a variety of like items. There's various meat and veggie combos as well as a seafood combo. I always order the veggie combo which comes with a lot that's easily shareable between 4 people. It comes with various greens, mushrooms, cabbage, corn on the cob, cauliflower, and carrots. I don't eat red meat so I stick to their sliced chicken breast or the shrimp balls. My other favorite is the bean curd sticks which is a good meatless protein option. As for broths my two favorite are the Chinese Healthy Herb and the kimchi. I also like their salted crispy chicken appetizer (popcorn chicken). Steamed rice is also a must for me. They have a dipping sauce bar where you can make your own dipping sauce to accompany your hot pot. With the exception of the broth adding flavor, the meats and all the ingredients you add to your hot pot are unseasoned. It includes everything from soy sauce and fish sauce to garlic, fresh chilis, vinegar, and crushed peanuts. Whether you like to keep it simple, mild, or spicy there's a sauce you can create. The ambiance is pretty nice. It used to be a Chinese restaurant years ago and they did keep some of the things the same. They have 3 different TVs inside. The two larger ones on the walls each play a different Kdrama and the one above the register plays Kpop music videos. They do have one larger table that I think accommodates somewhere between 10-12 people (don't quote me on that) and another that can fit 6 or 7 people. Majority of the tables sit 4 and a couple sit 2. Depending what day and time you go, it can get pretty busy and you might have to wait a while. The staff is always friendly and helpful. At the end of the meal they give you orange slices and hard guava candy. Their orange slices are always so good too and a good palette cleanser at the end.

I recommend getting the individual meats if you're going as a smaller group just so you don't get too much. My personal favorite to get here is the sesame balls. Always hot and crispy with the perfect amount of red bean filling. They do also have a sauce bar, although kind of limited

Love love love this place! I tried a new pot, the Tokyo Pot today. It was delicious! Our server Joy…read morewas fantastic! There was a table near us who had a large group with kids. I overheard them talk about how they were going to a movie so Joy offered to help pack their food to go, write their names on it and leave it in the back so they can come back for their food after the movie. I just felt that was super thoughtful and above and beyond. Outside of that, she also took care of me and my friend. She was one of the only waitresses who ever mentioned the rewards program to us and let us scan our QR codes only to find out we each had about $6 off our meals. Fantastic service and great food like always!

I decided to go with the Seoul Pot and my friend had the Hai De Pot. The food came out quickly and we asked our server to turn off the burners since the food was boiling. The one thing I wasnt crazy about was that my pot was filled to the brim where I couldnt add the noodles. I had to pull items out that seemed like "filler" items that wern't that tasty, seaweed knot and some kind of compacted rice ball. I would of preferred a little more broth could of done without those extra things. The broth btw was very good! I felt my broth and bowl was a better tasting option than the Hai De Pot my friend ordered. Our server was great and checked in often. More people entered for lunch but it was still a quiet atmosphere, which was nice. All in all we liked this place and I recommend it. The service is good, prices are fair and food is pretty tasty.

My favorites were the bulgogi and spicy LA short rib. Rounds came in quick, and overall had a super good time with friends. I recommend it to anyone looking for KBBQ in Fresno.

I was unsure how to rate this place overall, so I decided on a middle of the road 3 stars…read more $35 per person, ayce, plus tax and tip. Discount for cash and 4% charge for credit (there is several signs at the entrance). Does not include alcohol or desert items. For 2 people, each with a soda (free refills), $83 cash or $86 credit (not sure if that included the 4% charge). We arrived little after 5 on a Sat. Was immediately seated with no reservation. There was multiple laminated menus on the table. Looked like each table seated 6, each with a grill and overhead exhaust vent. I could not hear any exhaust vent fans. Noise level was normal for a restaurant this size and a conversation could easily be had with other people at the table. With 2 people, able to order 3 meats at a time. Meats are brought out promptly and soda was refilled frequently. The grill tops were replaced frequently during the meal. The bad. It gets SMOKEY!!!! Not sure what's wrong with their exhaust, but it does not seem to work very well. The floor gets greasy slippery (I was wearing non stick shoes and was able to easily slide on the floor). The overhead exhaust fan... grease constantly dripped from the vent on the grill. They are obviously were not cleaned before that dinner service... we left smelling like we had sat in a bbq smoker. Because of that I would not recommend wearing nice clothes to this place unless you want them to smell like bbq for the next while. The bulguli was amazing!! I would skip on the ny steak. The chicken was surprisingly good. If you have never cooked seafood on a grill like that, you may want to skip the squid and octopus. The pork belly was basically thin sliced bacon. If I returned, I would stick with beef bulguli, spicy pork bulguli, and brisket or spicy bbq chicken. The spicy was not that spicy. Maybe a 2 out of 10. Like jalapeño spicy. The food and service was excellent. The smoke... this makes me rethinking on returning...
